Abstract

A motor-compressor (not shown) is resiliently supported in a housing 2 by springs 12 each of which has an attached bracket 14 received in a socket 16 fixed to the housing 2, the bracket and socket being crimped together. Each spring 12 has ends of reduced diameter, the lower end being screwed into the motor compressor body and the upper end into a notched portion 26 of the bracket 14. Each socket is in the form of a shallow channel having a back 32 and inwardly bent arms 30. During assembly each bracket is inserted downwardly between the arms 30 and the back 32 and when in the desired position a portion 37 of each arm 30 is crimped into a notch 34 in the vertical edge of the bracket.
