Abstract

In a seat, in which the torsional rigidity of a rod member 5 ensures the equality of adjustment on both sides of a seat, the screw adjusting arrangement of the parent specification is replaced by a bow spring 10 and a friction clamp 21, 23 and 24, acting on one end only of rod member 5. On lowering lever 20, cam 21 releases the brake pressure and spring 10 may lift the overlying end of the seat to a new position of adjustment. In another form Figs. 1-3, (not shown), the cam 21 is replaced by a screw clamp.
