Abstract
A semi-conductor inverter feeding a load 13, 14 having an inherent time delay has, connected across the A.C. output, an iron-cored choke 15 either self-saturating at a determined voltage or of the D.C. saturated type to reduce the voltage across semi-conductor elements 8, 9 before the load draws current. When saturated the choke 15 has an impedance substantially equal to the load rising to a multiple of the load impedance when de-saturated. A circuit providing D.C. saturation is given in the Specification.
