Abstract
A method of producing a leak detector tube, comprising arranging an outer tube with outer radial fins and having circumferentially spaced flat portions, arranging an inner tube within said outer tube and having an outer diameter less than that of the outer tube in said flat parts, one of said tubes having on a surface thereof together with a facing surface of the other tube a plurality of longitudinal grooves spaced from each other by longitudinally spaced flat parts and expanding the inner tube to bring its outer surface into intimate contact with said flat parts, thus defining longitudinal leak detection steps between said tubes in the areas of said grooves.
