Abstract
Joya de tipo anillo, pendiente, colgante, broche, que incluye un volumen de material vítreo amorfo transparente del tipo cristal o vidrio cuya una parte de la superficie externa está revestida de capas sucesivas metálicas o cerámicas destinadas a conferirle un efecto visual decorativo de naturaleza dicroica cuando dicha parte se observa a través del volumen del material transparente, caracterizada por que la sucesión de las capas obedece al siguiente esquema: - al menos una alternancia de dos capas transparentes metálicas y/o cerámicas en contacto con el cristal, la o las alternancias de capas componiéndose cada una de un par formado por una capa de SiO2 y por una capa de TiO2 o bien de un par formado por una capa de MgF2 y por una capa de Cr; después - una capa final opaca reflectante constituida por metal.

La presente invención está relacionada con una joya de tipo anillo, pendiente, colgante, broche, que incluye un volumen de material amorfo transparente del tipo cristal o vidrio cuya una parte de la superficie externa está revestida de capas sucesivas metálicas o cerámicas destinadas a conferirle un efecto visual decorativo. En la continuación, para la claridad del propósito, se hará referencia únicamente al cristal, que, sin embargo, solo es un ejemplo de aplicación posible.
El efecto visual buscado es el resultado, de hecho, de un fenómeno de dicroísmo obtenido por la combinación del cristal y de la superposición de las capas, que conlleva unos cambios en la coloración de la parte revestida de las capas, en concreto, según el ángulo de incidencia de la observación a través del cristal. La combinación de un volumen de cristal con unos revestimientos metálicos se ha utilizado ya, de hecho, en el pasado, habiéndose, por ejemplo, realizado ya la asociación de una primera capa de cromo con un depósito de una capa de oro o de una aleación a base de oro. Estos revestimientos tienen, en particular, como finalidad conferir al volumen de cristal el tono del metal precioso que se le combina, con el fin de acentuar su connotación de joya y de marcarlo mejor como artículo de joyería de lujo.
Por ejemplo, el documento de los Estados Unidos US2004/0053068 describe un panel de vidrio que presenta una reflexión metálica obtenida por una capa de base dieléctrica, recubierta de una capa metálica a base de cromo que tiene una reflexión elevada y una capa final a base de un nitruro dieléctrico.
En lo que se refiere, en particular, a las gemas o los objetos decorativos que tienen un sustrato transparente o translúcido, el documento de los Estados Unidos US2004/0083759 describe un revestimiento que permite modificar su apariencia, su color por el empleo de un revestimiento metálico que absorbe la radiación luminosa, pero que no presenta un efecto dicroico.
El documento de los Estados Unidos US6292302 describe, por su parte, un espejo, por ejemplo, para retrovisores, que tiene un efecto dicroico que comprende una capa de un óxido de metal, una capa de un metal oxidable o de un metaloide que tiene un índice de refracción diferente de la primera capa y de una capa final de barrera al oxígeno, a base de un nitruro o de un carburo de un metal.
El objeto de la presente invención es proponer unos efectos visuales más amplios, de naturaleza dicroica, que ofrece al observador una paleta de colores bastante más amplia que anteriormente.
A tal efecto, una parte de la superficie externa del volumen del cristal está revestida de una sucesión de capas que obedece al siguiente esquema, según la invención:
- al menos una alternancia de dos capas transparentes metálicas o cerámicas en contacto con el cristal la o las alternancias de capas componiéndose cada una de un par formado por una capa de SO2 y por una capa de TO2 o bien de un par formado por una capa de MgF2 y por una capa de Cr; después
- una capa final opaca reflectante constituida por un metal.
Convencionalmente, con el fin de que pueda manifestarse mejor el fenómeno de dicroísmo, es conveniente, en efecto, que una capa opaca final impida, por una parte, la transmisión de los rayos luminosos y, por otra parte, permita la reflexión de la radiación. El dicroísmo propiamente dicho se obtiene por la combinación del volumen de cristal a través del que se hace la observación, que tiene una incidencia, en concreto, sobre la dirección de los rayos luminosos incidentes y reflejados según su longitud de onda y unas capas transparentes metálicas y/o cerámicas, que absorben/reflejan de manera diferente las diferentes longitudes de ondas de la luz visible.
Preferentemente, según la invención, el metal que constituye la capa final opaca puede ser titanio (Ti) o, de manera alternativa, puede tratarse igualmente de cromo (Cr).
Estos metales son interesantes, en concreto, por sus propiedades fisicoquímicas y, en particular, su gran dureza, su aptitud para resistir a la abrasión y a los productos químicos.
Más preferentemente, la sucesión de las capas aplicadas sobre la porción de superficie externa de un cristal incluye solamente una o dos alternancias de dichas dos capas metálicas o cerámicas.
En el pasado, ya se ha utilizado un número bastante superior de alternancias de capas, por ejemplo, para la realización de efectos de irisación. En este caso concreto, la experiencia ha mostrado que la existencia de una única alternancia de dos capas, incluso de dos alternancias (4 capas) confiere los mejores efectos visuales. Dicha o dichas alternancias de capas se compone(n) cada una de un par formado por una capa de SO2 y por una capa de TO2. Sin embargo, podría emplearse cualquier otro material que presente unas propiedades físico-químicas similares.

En la hipótesis de la utilización combinada de SÍO2 y de TÍO2, cada alternancia se realiza, por lo tanto, por unas cerámicas, cuyas propiedades mecánicas (dureza, alta resistencia) y la escasa reactividad química se conocen bien.
De manera alternativa, cada alternancia puede componerse igualmente de un par formado por una capa de MgF2 y por una capa de Cr. La diferencia entre los pares de materiales utilizados en las dos hipótesis reside, en concreto, en los colores que se pueden visualizar a través del cristal.
La selección de los materiales se opera, de hecho, a partir, en concreto, de sus propiedades ópticas, en particular, de su índice de refracción, con vistas a la obtención de resultados ópticos específicos que les corresponden.
Para asegurar a título principal los efectos visuales esperados, pero igualmente para satisfacer unas exigencias colorimétricas, es igualmente importante la elección del espesor de las diferentes capas.
De este modo, la capa final opaca, según la invención, presenta un espesor superior o igual a 50 nm.
Asimismo, preferentemente, el espesor de la primera capa de cada alternancia está comprendido entre 50 y 500 nm. Por último, el espesor de la segunda capa de cada alternancia está comprendido entre 90 y 400 nm.
Como se ha precisado igualmente esto, la invención se refiere a unas joyas revestidas de estas diferentes capas. Dichas joyas pueden ser del tipo anillo, pendiente, colgante, broche, etc. e incluir un volumen de cristal o de material amorfo transparente tales como se han definido anteriormente.
De manera más precisa, este volumen puede tomar diferentes geometrías y tomar, en particular, la forma de un cabujón que incluye una superficie sobre la que se aplica la sucesión de las capas definidas anteriormente.
El revestimiento metálico y/o cerámico sobre el volumen del cristal se obtiene por unas técnicas conocidas de por sí, tal como la evaporación al vacío, la pulverización catódica o también la pulverización catódica por magnetrón.

Joya de tipo anillo, pendiente, colgante, broche, que incluye un volumen de material vitreo amorfo transparente del tipo cristal o vidrio cuya una parte de la superficie externa está revestida de capas sucesivas metálicas o cerámicas destinadas a conferirle un efecto visual decorativo de naturaleza dicroica cuando dicha parte se observa a través del volumen del material transparente, caracterizada por que la sucesión de las capas obedece al siguiente esquema:- al menos una alternancia de dos capas transparentes metálicas y/o cerámicas en contacto con el cristal, la o las alternancias de capas componiéndose cada una de un par formado por una capa de SO2 y por una capa de TO2 o bien de un par formado por una capa de MgF2 y por una capa de Cr; después- una capa final opaca reflectante constituida por metal.
- 2. Joya según la reivindicación anterior, en la que el metal que constituye la capa final opaca es titanio (Ti).
- 3. Joya según la reivindicación 1, en la que el metal que constituye la capa final opaca es cromo (Cr).
- 4. Joya según una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en la que la sucesión de las capas incluye una o dos alternancias de las dos capas metálicas o cerámicas.
- 5. Joya según una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en la que la primera capa opaca presenta un espesor superior o igual a 50 nm.
- 6. Joya según una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en la que el espesor de la primera capa de cada alternancia está comprendido entre 50 y 500 nm.
- 7. Joya según una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en la que el espesor de la segunda capa de cada alternancia está comprendido entre 90 y 400 nm.
- 8. Joya según una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en la que el volumen de cristal es un cabujón sobre una superficie de la que se aplica la sucesión de capas.
