Abstract

A fastening for securing e.g. hook 1 and eye 2 to a garment, comprises a base 4, and at least two spikes 5, 5 projecting from the base 4 for driving through the garment. Each of the spikes 5 has a groove 7 extending longitudinally thereof. After being driven through a garment, the spike is clenched at its pointed end to take a hasp at the underside of the garment. The groove is formed preferably by cold pressing so that the spike is made harder in a region around the groove than other regions thereof.
