Carro de compra polivalente; que comprende: - una estructura metálica plegable provista de ruedas delanteras y de ruedas traseras, y que dispone de: un bastidor trasero (1) que comprende un manillar de agarre (12) provisto de unos medios de regulación en altura; una cesta (2) plegable provista de una tapa rígida (25) que conforma en una posición de cierre una superficie de asiento, y un bastidor delantero (3); - un mecanismo (6) de selección de diferentes grados de giro lateral de las ruedas delanteras (5); y - un mecanismo de freno (7) que incluye: una pieza de freno (71) de las ruedas traseras; un muelle (72) que tiende a mantener la pieza de freno (71) en una posición bloqueo de las ruedas traseras (4); una primera palanca (73) de liberación de la posición de bloqueo de las ruedas traseras (4) y una segunda palanca (74) de freno instantáneo.
