Abstract

Un procedimiento para la producción de un material cerámico transparente policristalino que tiene para la luz de una longitud de onda comprendida entre 600 y 650 nm una transmisión en línea real (RIT) de > 40 % del valor máximo teórico, caracterizado por que a partir de un polvo de partida, que tiene un tamaño de granos primarios de 5 < 500 nm, de manera preferida <= 300 nm, se produce, mediante granulación por atomización, mediante granulación en capa turbulenta o mediante revestimiento con partículas, un granulado de material cerámico con un tamaño de granos primarios de <= 500 nm, por que el granulado de material cerámico se reúne agentes coadyuvantes del prensado y/o agentes aglutinantes y/o agentes de deslizamiento, y se compacta mediante un prensado cíclico hasta una densidad en bruto de > 40 % de la densidad teórica (TD), comprendiendo el prensado cíclico un prensado uniaxial o una combinación de un prensado uniaxial y de un prensado isostático, y por que a continuación se efectúan, o bien una sinterización previa o un prensado isostático en caliente con sinterización o una sinterización convencional hasta la aparición de una porosidad cerrada, y un posterior prensado isostático en caliente del cuerpo en bruto prensado cíclicamente, de manera tal que el material cerámico transparente producido posea una densidad de > 99,8 % de la TD.
