Abstract

Fuel injection installation for polycylindrical engines, in which a piston-pump cylinder assembly successively feeds several injectors by means of a distributor, characterized by the fact that it is provided near the end by which the duct connecting the distributor to the cylinder of said pump assembly opens into the distributor, and even into the distributor itself, a discharge channel provided with means capable of maintaining in this duct the pressure that must reign in the latter before the start of each drive period, so that the passage of the residual volume of fuel that leaves said conduit as a result of the opening of said discharge channel, has the same direction as the fuel that in the periods of impulsion runs through this conduit in the direction of the injector, the discharge channel in such a way that its communication with said conduit is closed before the beginning of each period of drive and open as soon as possible at the end of each injection.
