Como ciclo inferior se utiliza un Rankine con agua como fluido de trabajo, su evolución es compresión en una bomba, adquisición de calor del foco caliente (que es el foco frío del Brayton), expansión en una turbina y cesión de calor al foco frío (que será el gas natural ya regasificado). Con el movimiento de las turbinas se produce energía eléctrica.
