Su objetivo es allí diferente, obviamente, que el de producir electricidad. Sólo tienen una misión puramente mecánica. De esta manera, el círculo que se mueve con el eje (3), va cortando el campo magnético de los imanes del círculo fijo (4) y con la variación de ese flujo, se va produciendo electricidad, la que se transmite por los cables de cobre de las bobinas que se unen a los imanes del círculo fijo. Al estar aparejados los imanes de esa manera, funcionando como un sólo imán, no ofrecen la menor resistencia al paso de los imanes del círculo fijo, y así, se puede conseguir que una brisa de poca intensidad pueda moverlos, hasta el punto que podría bastar la fuerza del aire de un ventilador para poder accionar el mecanismo, y ese ventilador podría estar alimentado con la electricidad que producen los propios círculos de imanes, los cuales se pueden multiplicar a lo largo del eje tanto como lo permitan las condiciones del generador, es decir, su lugar de instalación, el peso de los círculos y de los imanes, la fuerza previsible del aire, etc...
