Description
Composiciones limpiadoras espumosas y método para tratar tejidos.Foaming cleansing compositions and method for Treat tissues
The procedure of cleaning and conditioning tissues it has been carried out by various means for many centuries. Recently many improvements and refinements have been made to give more effective procedures to clean and condition tissues. Modern procedures involve a system to yield active cleaning and surface conditioning materials of fiber
Many procedures achieve this goal. dipping the tissues in a solution, usually a solution Aqueous active materials. The solution soaks the tissues thus giving the active materials to the fiber surface. The useful solutions or washing solutions are often prepared dissolving granular detergents in water, or alternatively dissolving liquid detergent in water.
Cuando el tambor se rellena con agua, las altas concentraciones locales de materiales activos dan lugar al denominado efecto "corazón del lavado".Washing machines commonly used in Europe Western provide a dispenser drawer that is intended specifically to mix detergent active products, well granular or liquid, with water. The mixture or solution passes after to a drum containing the load to be washed (i.e. tissues). This method of assignment has been further improved by use of dispensing devices that can be filled with detergent active products and then load it directly into the drum next to the load to be washed. When the drum is filled with water, the high local concentrations of materials assets give rise to the so-called "heart of the washed".
Other methods of transferring materials are known fiber surface active. For example, they can be used sheets impregnated to clean or condition tissues if the impregnating materials include cleaning agents or conditioning.
Another refinement of the cleaning procedure has been the use of a pretreatment in spots particularly difficult. Using this approach, a detergent is applied concentrated directly on the tissue in the region of the stain. This yields a high concentration of detergent active materials to the fiber surface where it has maximum effect. The most Recent is to stimulate the consumer to pre-treat local areas of fabrics with concentrated liquid detergents, and then wash the whole garment in a dilute aqueous solution of detergent liquid. This offers benefits of yielding a high concentration of detergent active materials directly to the surface of the fiber, at least in areas where there are spots, and subsequently clean all the fabric by soaking it in a washing solution. However, pretreatment is generally limited to regions. tissue premises.
The present invention offers a discontinuity significant in the method of yielding detergent active materials to the surface of the fiber. In addition, the present invention offers a means of yielding high concentrations of active materials detergents to all parts of the fabric, and not simply to areas tissue sites, as in the case of pretreatment. This, at Once, it leads to a cleaning and conditioning procedure of Highly effective tissues that lead to lower requirements for detergent active ingredients giving lower costs, lower energy requirements and environmental benefits.
Patent 4,118,189 issued on 3 October 1978, describes a method of washing fabrics with a foaming detergent solution. The aqueous solution contains 10 to 50 grams per liter of cleaning composition (about 1% at about 5% by weight of "active" cleaning components in aqueous solution). The foam is formed by providing a source of compressed air that is blown into the aqueous solution, then the foam comes into contact with the tissues. After the collapse of the foam is recycled by more compressed air applications at least five times.

Patent 4,242,377 issued on 30 December 1980, describes foamy compositions that are used to condition tissues and to be dispensed in a useful way by aerosol containers. The conditioning stage is generally intended for fabrics that have already been cleaned. It is described that anionic surfactants can act as agents conditioning agents and / or foaming agents. Example 6 describes a foam composition comprising 17.8% sodium soap (by weight, excluding the impeller).

None of the prior art documents suggests a concentrated detergent foam in which you can incorporate anionic and nonionic surfactants to achieve a effective tissue cleaning.
The present invention is directed to provide a foaming detergent composition to effectively clean the tissues. A method of cleaning tissues is also provided for assign detergent active materials on tissues in the form of A very active foam. The foam comprises at least 18% by weight of anionic and non-ionic surfactant and has a very high volume to a given weight of the detergent active material due to the large amount of gas that is trapped in it. For the same reason, the foam has a very large surface for a given weight of material detergent active that allows tissue surfaces to cover with foam giving a detergent material uniformly concentrated on the tissue and directly to the fiber surface
The invention relates to a composition packaged detergent, liquid, coadjuvant, for cleaning tissues, and comprises anionic surfactant, nonionic surfactant, water, adjuvant and optionally a chelating agent, characterized because the amount of anionic and nonionic surfactant is at least 18% by weight of the composition, the amount of adjuvant is 10 to 82% by weight of the composition, the amount of water is below 50% by weight of the composition, and the composition is packaged in an aerosol container with an impending gas to discharge the composition from the container as a foam.
The most useful foams have a density of less than 100 grams per liter, preferably less than 50 grams per liter
Preferred surfactants for use in the Foamy compositions are alkyl sulfate, ether sulfate alkyl, or mixtures thereof, at a level of at least 18% by weight of the composition.
Surfactants may be present in advantageously at levels of at least 25%, preferably at minus 50% by weight.
Nonionic surfactants may be present advantageously at levels of at least 20% in weight.
It is also preferred that the foam composition contain less than 30%, more preferably less than 10% by weight of Water.
Another aspect of the invention is a method of clean fabrics with foam that has a composition like the described above. The foam is distributed over the tissues and preferably the proportion of water present to dry the tissue is less than 1: 1, preferably less than 2: 3, and more preferably less than 1: 2.
El medio mecánico le proporciona la acción giratoria de una lavadora (es decir "lavado a máquina").The foam can be distributed on the surface of the tissues manually (ie "hand wash") or alternatively by mechanical means, subsequently removed substantially any foam or foam residue of the tissues aspirating, blowing a gas, or rinsing. The middle mechanic provides you with the rotating action of a washing machine (it is say "machine wash").
A preferred method for cleaning tissues according to The present invention is to wash by hand using the foam comprising detergent active materials. The method comprises the first stage of yielding the foam over the entire surface of the fabric and, preferably allow time to soak it so that the Concentrated detergent can act on the fiber surface. At a later stage, water can be added to give a solution more diluted detergent in which the procedure can continue washing Optionally, the tissues can be finally cleared in clean water This aspect of the invention offers benefits. particular for delicate fabrics such as those made of wool or silk The foam yields detergent active materials to the fiber surface without the need to rinse in water.
An alternative method of cleaning tissues according to the present invention is to add the foam comprising materials detergent assets to fabrics in a conventional washing machine. The method comprises the first stage of cession of the foam over all the tissue surface and preferably allow time for that is soaked so that the concentrated detergent can act on the fiber surface. During this stage the foam will can effectively distribute on the tissue surface by agitation, for example by the action of cleaning by agitation in the drum of the washing machine. At a later stage you can add water to give a more diluted detergent solution in which The washing procedure can continue. The procedure of cleaning is highly effective due to mechanical input work of the washing machine efficiently and quickly distributing the foam on The entire surface of the tissues. As a result they are possible lower wash temperatures and shorter cycles with the corresponding benefits of low energy use.
The present invention also concerns a packaged product to yield a foam comprising materials detergent active to tissues. The medium comprises a container sealed that has a sprayer that can be activated by the consumer. The package comprises a detergent active material and a compressed impeller gas. When the sprayer is activated the propel causes the detergent active material to leave the container. At the same time the impeller expands to form a myriad of gas bubbles in a foam. Most preferable is that the product Packaging comprises an aerosol container.

It is important to distinguish between the foam of the present invention and the soap foam found in the daily washing procedures. The foam of the present invention is much more concentrated and comprises less water than the conventional soap foam. The foam comprises less than 50%, more preferably less than 30%, and most preferably less than 15% in water weight The foam comprises at least 18% by weight, preferably at least 25% by weight, and more preferably at minus 50% by weight of a surfactant system. Foams Preferred for use as cleaning compositions comprise the minus 18% by weight of anionic surfactant. On the other hand, the soap foam, which is formed in the washing procedures conventional when diluting detergents before washing, it is formed from quite dilute solutions, typically 100 g of product in 10 liters of water. The result is a solution of washing comprising about 99% by weight of water. It can form a layer of foam on the surface of the solution washing, the composition of the foam being similar to that of the same wash solution The surfactant content of the foam Normally it will be much less than 1%, typically less than 3%. I know will therefore understand the difference between the foam of the present invention and the soap foam of a washing procedure conventional.
fibra. The person skilled in the art will also recognize that soap foam is often considered undesirable in the washing process and that antifoam agents are often used to reduce or control it. In a washing process in which the solution of detergent active agents is the means of transporting the active materials to the surface of the fiber, the presence of soap foam may decrease the effectiveness of the
washed. This is because the detergent active materials found in the soap foam are not dissolved for a long time in the wash solution, and therefore are not effectively transported to the fiber surface.
In contrast, the foam formed herein Invention is the essential means of the washing procedure. Generally, it is thought that it is the foam itself yields detergent active agents uniformly on the fibers, and not, as in conventional washing procedures, a solution aqueous of the active materials. However, this does not exclude the tissue prewash stage before treatment with the foam of the present invention. It is preferred that no water be added additional to fabrics and foam, at least during the stage of the method in which the foam is distributed evenly over the tissues.
Now they will be described in greater detail particular embodiments of the method of treating foam fabrics Detergent.
The method of the present invention can be used. for washing fabrics by hand (hereinafter referred to as "washing by hand "). The foam is dispensed on and around the tissues that are going to be washed, and then the foam is distributed thoroughly over the tissues, if necessary, by stirring the tissues and the foam to hand. It is believed that the large foam area allows active ingredients spread well on the surface of tissues. It is also believed that the intimate proximity of the active foam undiluted to tissues promotes excellent cleaning.
The tissues can be allowed to soak in the foam from a short time to several days, or even weeks. Without However, it is preferred that the soak time be between 1 minute and 24 hours, preferably between 5 minutes and 4 hours.
If desired, it can be removed later any foam residue from the tissues. For example, the residue can be clarified using clean water or can be removed from tissues using a vacuum cleaner.
The method of the present invention is particularly suitable for hand washing clothes delicate In particular tissues that comprise high levels of wool, that is, they can be treated advantageously in this way. A particular benefit is a marked reduction of local damage of the tissue that can occur when using procedures conventional laundry. In laundry procedures conventional detergent composition, stained fabrics and Water all gather in a suitable container. At the beginning of procedure there are very high local concentrations of active ingredients when starting to dissolve in water, but then they are distributed homogeneously in the water. Such high local concentrations in solution, if they happen to be present on or near the tissue may cause local damage to the tissue. This is especially true in the case of concentrations high locations of bleaching agents and optical brighteners in solution. This type of local tissue damage is avoided according to the method of the present invention. Because all the active ingredients are distributed evenly throughout the large volume of the foam there are no local concentrations of active materials that can cause tissue damage.
A typical hand wash composition will comprise the defined surfactants and adjuvants, and may also comprise some or all of the following components: surfactants (cationic, amphoteric, zwitterionic), agents chelators, stain removal polymers, brightener optical, dye transfer inhibition polymer, perfume, enzymes, dyes. The surfactants are found preferably present at a level of 18% to 90%, by weight of the composition, preferably 25% to 80% of the composition, plus preferably from 30% to 50% by weight of the composition.
Detergent builders such as acids fatty, citric acid, succinic acid, phosphate, zeolite, are preferably present at a level of 10% to 50% of the composition, more preferably from 12% to 20% by weight of the composition. Chelating agents such as phosphonate are preferably present at a level of 0% to 5%, more preferably from 0.1% to 3% by weight of the composition.
The method of the present invention can be used. for washing fabrics in a conventional washing machine (named here hereinafter "machine wash"). The foam formed in the The present invention is simply dispensed in the drum of the washing machine either before or after loading fabrics dirty.
Most washing machines available commercially they have automatic wash cycles, and many of these cycles begin with the addition of water in the drum of the washing machine. However, to enter within the scope of this invention it is necessary that the foam be distributed thoroughly over the tissues without dissolving it in solution. Preferably, this is get using a washing machine with a wash cycle in which the drum is rotated several times (thus distributing the foam) before Add any water. However, this does not exclude the stage of pre-washing of the tissues before treatment with the foam of the present invention
When water is added in the final part of the cycle most foam components will dissolve or be they will disperse in the water, probably leading to a layer of soap foam in the washing machine. As previously mentioned, this soap foam that has a high water content and a low surfactant content should not be considered as foam inside of the meaning of the present invention.
The wash cycle can be completed by any combination of washing steps, rinsing, conditioning and / or drying, during any of which you can introduce additional adjuvants of the washing machine drum washed or rinsed
The compositions useful for washing foams machine are similar to those described above for hand wash foams.
Another aspect of the present invention is a packaged product to give a useful foam for use in the method of the present invention. The packaged product contains a container sealed, such as an essentially cylindrical canister, which has a dispensing medium such as a sprayer. The container contains the detergent composition and a compressed gas and can be made of any material, especially aluminum, tinplate, plastics including PET, OPP, PE or polyamide and including mixtures, sheets or other combinations of these. The foam is dispensed when Activate the sprayer and the detergent is released next to the gas. The gas acts as an impeller and expands to form many "bubbles" within the detergent composition thus forming the foam. Preferred gases include fluorocarbons, chlorofluorocarbons, H-chlorofluorocarbons, alkanes such as methane, ethane, propane, butane, pentane, as well as nitrogen and nitrous oxides, ammonia and derivatives, air, dimethyl ether and mixtures of these.
For example the gas can be pressurized when packaged. The product can be physically separated from the gas compressed by a membrane such as tension rubber. Alternatively, a means can be provided to pressurize the gas subsequently by mechanical action (called systems "pumping and spray").
Se describen diversos aparatos para liberar espumas en la solicitud en trámite junto a la presente de los solicitantes USSN 08/075190 presentada el 6 de octubre de 1993 titulada "Foam dispensing and Dispensers Employing Said Nozzles".Various devices for releasing are described foams in the pending application together with the present of the Applicants USSN 08/075190 filed on October 6, 1993 titled "Foam dispensing and Dispensers Employing Said Nozzles. "

Any sprayer or sprayer / valve assembly that provides a means to release the mixture of detergent ingredients from the container and provides a foam is useful for use in the present invention. 10 g per second, and most preferably at a rate of at least 20 g per second.
A hand wash liquid product was prepared according to example 1. 510 g of the product were packaged in containers metallic, each container having a nominal capacity of 600 cubic centimeters. After 90 grams of gas were added, and sealed each container resulting in an internal pressure of about 2.2 Pub. The gas used was a mixture of propane and butane (in parts same). When 40 g of the product was released by activating the spray located at the end of the container, a foam formed which It has a volume of about 4 liters.
Se obtuvieron excelentes resultados de limpieza.800 grams of consistent dirty clothes were added in mixed fabrics (a usual household wash load) over the foam and stirred by hand until the foam was fine scattered over all dirty clothes. They left the dirty clothes and the foam for one hour. Subsequently the dirty clothes were cleared of foam residue using ordinary urban water at 20 ° C. Later He dried the dirty clothes. Excellent results were obtained from cleaning.
Las enzimas eran una mezcla "cocktail" de proteasa (0,22%), alcalasa (0,22%), lipasa (0,22%), y celulasa (0,1%).The cleaning method described in the Example 1 by adding 0.76% enzymes to the composition. Enzymes they were a "cocktail" mixture of protease (0.22%), alkalose (0.22%), lipase (0.22%), and cellulase (0.1%).
The product of Example 1 was packaged in containers Metallic with an impeller. In this example the impeller was a fluorocarbon (134a) in a proportion of 9 parts of the product a 1 part of the impeller.
