Abstract
Un sistema de freno de estacionamiento para un vehículo que tenga EBS y que utilice el EBS como el medio principal para generar una fuerza de frenado de estacionamiento por medio de accionadores neumáticos de frenos (27), bajo control de un dispositivo eléctrico accionado manualmente (20), en donde el control de los frenos del vehículo para un frenado que no sea de estacionamiento se consigue con el uso de señales eléctricas generadas en un pedal de freno controlado por el pie como respuesta a la demanda de frenado del conductor, cada accionador neumático del freno (27) teniendo un pistón (26) que, para operar un respectivo freno, se adapta para girar una palanca articulada (28;30;44;52;103) de manera que fomente la pieza desplazable del freno (32) para que aplique un par de pastillas del freno (34a, 34b) a los lados opuestos de un disco de freno (102) respectivo, adaptándose un controlador electrónico (23) para controlar el suministro de aire a presión a los accionadores del freno según dichas señales electrónicas correspondientes a la demanda del conductor, y en donde, al seleccionar el frenado de estacionamiento mediante el accionamiento del dispositivo eléctrico (20), se configuran los frenos para ser aplicados y retenerlos y fijarlos mecánicamente en posición por medio de un dispositivo de retención (29;36;42;50;54) que, cuando se halla activado, es desplazado selectivamente por un accionador (38;48;56) para engranar con la palanca articulada (28;30;44;52;103) de manera que mantenga el freno mecánicamente en una condición de frenado de estacionamiento seleccionado, sin importar que entonces se reduzca la fuerza del freno generada a través del EBS.
