SE DESCRIBE UN PROCESO PARA LA PREPARACION DE UN ESTER DEL ACIDO CINAMICO, QUE COMPRENDE CONDENSAR UN BENZALDEHIDO CON UN ESTER DEL ACIDO ACETICO EN PRESENCIA DE UNA BASE. A CONTINUACION SE TRATA LA MEZCLA DE REACCION, SIN AÑADIR NINGUN DISOLVENTE ADICIONAL O DESPUES DE AÑADIR UN DISOLVENTE ADICIONAL, CON UN ACIDO, PARA CONVERTIR UN ESTER DEL ACIDO 3 - ALCOXY - 3 - FENILPROPIONICO, DE LA MEZCLA DE REACCION, EN EL CORRESPONDIENTE ESTER DEL ACIDO CINAMICO. ESTE PROCEDIMIENTO PERMITE QUE SE OBTENGAN DERIVADOS DEL ESTER DEL ACIDO CINAMICO DE ELEVADA PUREZA Y CON UN BUEN RENDIMIENTO.
