Abstract

Procedimiento de oxidación de un grupo tioéter a sulfóxido. La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la oxidación de un grupo tioéter a un grupo sulfóxido, y en particular a un procedimiento para la oxidación de un grupo tioéter de un compuesto de fórmula (I), en la que R{sub,2}, R{sub,3}, R{sub,4}, R{sub,5}, R{sub,6}, y R{sub,8} pueden ser hidrógeno o un grupo alquilo de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono, R{sub,7} puede ser hidrógeno, un grupo alquiloxi o un grupo alquilo de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono, y R{sub,1} un grupo alquilo o un grupo alquilo fluorado de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono, a un grupo sulfóxido, para obtener el derivado sulfinilo de fórmula (II), que consiste en la oxidación del tioéter con percarbonato sódico acuoso en presencia de una sal de molibdeno como catalizador, que preferentemente es molibdato amónico.
