Abstract

Combustion microcalorimeter, characterised in being of the isoperibol type consisting of a thermostatic bath containing agitated and temperature controlled water, with an underwater stainless steel chamber.A calorimetric vessel with an internal volume of approximately 0.59 dm<3>. Both the calorimetric vessel and the jacket are elliptical and all parts have an air gap between the walls of approximately 10 mm. The walls are polished to prevent thermal radiation. The vessel contains a combustion pump.
