Abstract
Herramienta de corte que comprende un cuerpo cilíndrico con un extremo anterior y un extremo posterior y que tiene una pared periférica con un eje longitudinal y al menos un conjunto de montura del inserto alrededor de la pared periférica del cuerpo, en la que cada conjunto de montura del inserto se compone de: a) un receptáculo del inserto rebajado dentro de la pared periférica en el extremo anterior de la herramienta; b) un inserto posicionado dentro del receptáculo de inserto, en el que el inserto tiene una cara superior, una cara inferior y una pared lateral entre ellas que intersecta la cara superior para definir un filo; c) una cavidad de cuña rebajada dentro de la pared y adyacente al receptáculo del inserto en el extremo anterior de la herramienta; d) una cuña posicionada dentro dela cavidad de la cuña que tiene un pie para ponerse en contacto con la cara superior del inserto y empujar el inserto dentro del receptáculo del inserto con una fuerza de apriete; e) en la que la cavidad de la cuña tiene una superficie interior, una pared de acuñamiento y una pared estabilizadora opuesta a la pared de acuñamiento y en la que las paredes convergen en una dirección desde el extremo anterior hasta el extremo posterior del cuerpo para definir un ángulo de cuña axial (alfa) tal que cuando se desplaza la cuña, que tiene un lado de acuñamiento y lado estabilizador adaptados a la pared de acuñamiento y a la pared estabilizadora de la cuña, hacia la superficie interior de la cavidad, el pie de la cuña comprime contra la cara del inserto con una fuerza de apriete creciente; y f ) en la que la pared de acuñamiento y la pared estabilizadora de la cavidad de cuña convergen además al extenderse en una dirección generalmente en sentido radial hacia fuera con el cuerpo para definir un ángulo de cuña radial (beta) tal que sea capturada la cuña y cualquier movimiento dirigido radialmente hacia fuera de la cuña incremente la fuerza de apriete sobre la cara del inserto.
