Abstract

For the continuous prodn. of building board material, where a viscous material is laid as a web, parallel plastics capillary tubes (8) are laid within the viscous web material (3) along the line of the formed web. After the hardened board sections have been cut clear, the ends of the tubes (8) are left free for connection to trunk tubes (9) for a flow medium to be fed in and extracted, to deliver or absorb heat. Pref. the ends of the capillary tubes (8) are pulled through slits (10) at one side of the plate, to free them. The slit (10) is located at a gap from the edge of the plate board. The tube (8) ends can also be freed by cutting the board plate edge across the tubes. Pref. the capillary tubes (8) have a dia. of about 2 mm, and are located within the board structure at 10 mm intervals. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system is for the continuous prodn. of board material to deliver or absorb heat. The method gives a board material which can be cut into the required lengths and act as heating or cooling plates.
