Abstract
The device 22 is used in a hide treatment drum 21 which has means to ensure that part of the bath flows continuously from the drum 21, in such a way that the bath can be filtered during the treatment of the hides, and to return the filtered bath to the drum 21. The device includes: a filtering duct with a sieve 23, which includes at least one part of circular section and inclined upwards from a lower charging end 24, which receives the bath which is to be filtered, and an Archimedes screw 31, which can turn in the duct 23, so as to move the filtered impurities along the duct 23 to an upper discharging end 32, and simultaneously eliminate the impurities which tend to block them from the orifices in the filtering wall.
