Abstract

PURPOSE:To completely separate sludge in the structure where the slurry supplied from one upper side of a casing of a tilt square part flows among many tilted plates in equal flow rate. CONSTITUTION:A casing 15 of a slurry settling separator 14 employs a primary separating part 19, a secondary separating part 27, a third separating part 30. As slurry raw water 41 such as factory waste water treated with coagulant is supplied into a primary separating part 19 through a supply pipe 18, massive flocks generated through apt agitating in the passing slurry raw water 41 accumulate at a primary settling sink 43 due also to the flow prevention effect of a separation wall 16. On the other hand, the slurry water, finishing a primary separation treatment, ascends and flows into a flow rate adjusting part 22. Here, the slurry water goes into a secondary separating part 27 through holes 21 in horizontal flow rate adjusting plates 20, 20' which effect identical flow rate on the whole surface from the upper to the lower part due to the gradually enlarging sizes of the holes from lower to upper part and due also to the dual structure of the said plates.
