Abstract

It is a specific method for converting agricultural plant byproducts into organic fertilizers, applicable to all crops, including greenhouse crops, of diffuse or localized form. To the original material an inoculum is added which is obtained by incubation of one volume of the material to be processed with three volumes of fertile soil, of high biological capacity, with a moisture content of 2/3 of the field capacity, which acts as a starter for the natural biological processes which, under strictly controlled aerobic conditions, lead to the breakdown of the organic components of the materials involved in the process, avoiding the phenomena of phytotoxicity produced by the addition of fresh organic matter to the soil. With the wetting water adequate amounts (5 g per 1000 kg) of the micronutrients Mo and Co which enhance the activity of the N fixing and P mobilizing organisms are incorporated into the mixture.
