Abstract

Hydrogen peroxide is mixed with water. The soln. is kept in contact with a solid catalyst. The solid catalyst comprises a transition metal carrier on a metal oxide base material having a surface area of at least 10 m2/g and consisting of aluminium oxide, and/or silica oxide, pref. aluminosilicate. The transition metal consists of V, Cr, Mo, W, Cu, Ni, Mn, Co or Fe.
