Dispositivo eléctrico de arranque para motores de combustión interna, del tipo que se emplea especialmente en vehículos automóviles, con un piñón alojado giratorio y desplazable axialmente sobre el árbol del motor de arranque, .que está unido con el árbol del motor sobre un acoplamiento de piñón libre, un electroimán de embrague cuya armadura al excitarse al final de su recorrido de retracción, y además con un resorte de engrane entre la armadura y el piñón hace tope frontalmente en la corona dentada permite que continue la carrera de retracción de la armadura, caracterizado porque el resorte de engrane está configurado como muelle cónico y el ángulo de cono del muelle está dimensionado de manera que puede comprimirse el muelle por lo menos hasta casi la altura de una espira.
