Definitions
- the invention relates to a locking system consisting of a lock cylinder and a matching key, the lock cylinder having a housing having a housing cavity and a cylinder core rotatably mounted in the housing cavity and having a key channel for inserting a key shaft of the key, the key shaft being located in a at least in some areas parallel to a central plane extending broad side with a coding surface, which is scanned for its presence by at least one probe element movably mounted in the cylinder core in a direction of movement with a key end, whereby if the coding surface is not present, a locking section cooperating with the key end allows rotation of the Cylinder core prevents it from engaging in a locking recess in the housing cavity and can emerge from the locking recess if the coding surface is present, allowing the cylinder core to rotate.
- the DE 10 2012 106 326 B4 describes a locking system with a lock cylinder and a matching key, the key having a key shaft that has coding ribs or coding grooves in the form of clearances. This forms at least one coding area, which is scanned by a key end of a key element.
- a locking element is arranged in the cylinder core of the locking cylinder, which has a locking section which, in a locked position, enters a locking recess in the housing cavity of the locking cylinder in order to lock the rotation of the locking cylinder.
- the locking element has a locking edge, which is gripped under by a locking shoulder in a locking position, so that the locking section cannot emerge from the locking recess. Only when the locking shoulder lies outside the movement path of the locking flank can the locking section emerge from the locking recess.
- the EP 2 770 139 A2 describes a locking system consisting of a locking cylinder and a matching key, with several variation grooves running parallel to one another being cut into the broad side surface of the key shaft.
- a coding groove that only extends over a partial length of the key shank is cut into a portion of the key shaft adjacent to the tip of the key, the incision being scanned by a first tumbler pin firmly seated in the cylinder core and the end of the coding groove being scanned by a movable tumbler pin.
- a flat key with variation grooves cut diagonally into the broad side surfaces shows this DE 33 14 511 A1 .
- the DE 35 42 008 A1 describes a key for a locking cylinder, in which a coding surface is scanned with a movable tumbler pin mounted in the cylinder core at an angle to the broad side of the key.
- the DE 102 20 078 B3 discloses a similar arrangement of locking elements in a cylinder core of a locking cylinder, in which a feeler element interacts with a locking element.
- Locking systems with a locking cylinder with tumbler pins which in particular also scan recesses arranged in the key shaft, are known from other prior art. These include, among others, the DE 10 2013 103 790 A1 , WO 2013/03007 A1 , EP 1 251 223 B1 , FR 2 802 233 B1 and DE 10 2013 103 790 A1 .
- the DE 10 2022 100 895 describes a flat key with a key shaft that has two broad side surfaces.
- the broad side surfaces have coding grooves into which ribs of the key channel of the cylinder core can engage.
- One of the coding grooves formed by a franking has an undercut wall.
- the bottom of this coding groove has an interruption such that the depth of the groove is different at different positions.
- the coding groove is not present at all. In this area the coding groove is completely interrupted.
- the coding groove here has two sections that are separated from each other in the direction of extension of the key shaft. The two sections of the coding groove are separated by the section that interrupts the groove.
- the DE 10 2010 017 166 A1 describes a process for producing a flat key with undercut grooves.
- a lock cylinder is known in which a groove milled into the broad side of the key has areas with different groove depths.
- the US 2006/0027004 A1 describes a locking cylinder in which a coding surface arranged in a broad side surface of the key shaft is scanned by a key end of a key element which has a locking section interacts, which enters a locking recess when the coding surface is not present, so that rotation of the cylinder core is prevented. However, if the coding surface is present, the locking section does not engage in the locking recess, so that the cylinder core can be rotated.
- the locking recess is assigned to the cylinder core.
- a similar lock cylinder is used by the WO 2017/006356 A1 described.
- the locking recess is assigned to the housing cavity.
- a sensing element having the key end can assume a tilting position in which the locking section cannot emerge from the locking recess.
- the invention is based on the object of increasing the security of a locking system of the generic type.
- the invention is also based on the object of specifying means with which the interrupted section of the coding groove, which in particular has an undercut groove wall, can be used as a coding surface that can be scanned with a key end of a key element.
- the invention proposes a locking system which consists of a lock cylinder and one or more matching keys.
- the coding surface formed by the key can be a rounded edge of a wall, a groove or a rib which adjoins a section of the key shaft belonging to the broad side.
- the coding surface can also be an area with reduced groove depth or an interrupted section of a groove having at least one wall and a groove bottom.
- the wall should form an undercut, i.e. protrude above the floor with an overhang.
- the lock cylinder can be a double lock cylinder. But it can also be a half cylinder.
- the lock cylinder has a housing cavity in which a cylinder core is rotatably mounted.
- the rotation of the cylinder core can be blocked by tumbler pins, with housing pins being displaceably mounted in a flange section of the housing of the lock cylinder. These housing pins can interact with core pins that are displaceably mounted in bores in the cylinder core.
- the core pins can have key ends with which coding recesses of the key, which can in particular be formed by notches cut into a key face, can be scanned.
- the key shaft has a coding surface formed by the interrupted portion of the coding groove.
- a coding groove can be a recess running in the extension direction of the key shaft. This depression has a bottom. The depression groove can have an area where the bottom is at a smaller distance from an edge formed by the opening of the coding groove.
- This area of reduced groove depth can be an interrupted section in the sense of the invention.
- An interrupted section of the coding groove can also be an area of the key shaft which is located between two separate sections of a coding groove in the direction of extension of the key. The coding groove is then, so to speak, completely filled by the interrupted section.
- the coding groove can have two opposing groove walls and a groove bottom. However, the coding groove can also be a widening of another groove that extends over the key shaft in the direction of extension. The coding groove can therefore be an angular recess that has a groove wall and a groove bottom.
- the coding groove extends over the entire broad side of a variation rib, so that when the coding groove is manufactured, the variation rib is removed except for an interrupted section.
- This interrupted section has the coding area.
- An interrupted section thus characterizes an area of the key shaft in which the coding groove has at least a reduced groove depth.
- a sensing element is mounted in the cylinder core and has a key end with which the presence of the coding surface can be sensed. This probe element can therefore be used to check whether the coding groove at the touch point of the button end has a predetermined minimum depth or even whether the coding groove is completely interrupted there.
- the feeler element can therefore be used to check whether an inserted key has a coding groove that extends over the entire length of the key shaft or whether a coding groove is interrupted in the wrong place. Such keys should not be able to close the lock cylinder.
- the feeler element is movably, in particular displaceably, mounted in a bore of the cylinder core and assumes a different position depending on whether the interruption of the coding groove is present or not present.
- the locking element can in principle be designed as described in the prior art mentioned at the outset. It can be inserted into a hole. In a locking position, the locking element crosses the cylindrical bearing surface of the cylinder core. In a release position, the locking element lies in the bore without crossing the bearing surface.
- the hole can be arranged in the wall of the housing cavity.
- the bore is preferably arranged in the cylinder core.
- the locking element can be in another hole in the cylinder core as the feeler element can be moved.
- the locking element has a locking section which rests in a locking recess in the housing cavity when the locking element is in a locking position. This can be a positive engagement that prevents rotation of the cylinder core. In a release position of the locking element, the locking section can emerge from the locking recess, so that, provided no other locking elements of the cylinder core are in a locking position, the cylinder core can be rotated in order to operate a lock with a locking element of the locking cylinder.
- the button element can have the function of a locking or blocking element.
- the feeler element is preferably designed and arranged in such a way that a locking shoulder of the feeler element lies in the movement path of a locking edge of the locking element when the coding surface is not present, but rather where the coding surface is in a suitable key, a recess is present or the coding groove is there is not interrupted.
- the locking element can then not move out of the locking position. Only when the coding surface is present does the feeler element assume a position in which the locking shoulder is not in the path of movement of the locking edge, so that the locking edge can slide past the locking edge when the locking element is moved from the locking position to the release position, whereas the locking edge can slide against the locking shoulder occurs if the coding area is not present.
- the direction of movement of the locking element runs transversely to the extension plane of the key shaft or transversely to a central plane of the key channel and that the direction of movement of the feeler element is at an angle of, for example, 20° to 70°, preferably 30° to 60°, to the surface normal the extension plane of the key shaft.
- the sensing element is suitable for determining whether a particularly undercut wall of a coding groove is present.
- recognition corresponds the preferably undercut wall and the non-recognition of the coding surface.
- the direction of movement of the feeler element runs approximately in the direction of an angle bisector between the direction of movement of the locking element and a broadside plane of the key shaft, this broadside plane being an imaginary plane that runs parallel to a central plane of the key shaft.
- the key channel has a central plane that coincides with the central plane of the key shaft when the key is inserted.
- the movement path of the feeler element is inclined by an angle of inclination, which can be, for example, 45°, but is preferably in the above-mentioned angular range, with provision being made in particular that, based on a projection plane running transversely to the key channel, the directions of movement of the feeler element and of the locking element are offset from one another by an angle of 20 to 70 °, preferably 30 to 60 ° and particularly preferably by approximately 45 °.
- the feeler element is acted upon by a spring element in the direction of the key channel.
- the feeler element can lie in a hole in the cylinder core. There can be a plug in this hole against which the spring element is supported.
- the spring element thus acts on the feeler element in the direction of the key channel.
- the key end of the key element is arranged in a different cross-sectional plane through the key channel than the locking element which interacts with the locking shoulder of the key element.
- the feeler element can have a wing projecting from a section forming the feeler end, which forms the locking edge. In relation to the direction of extension of the key shaft, the feeler element and locking element can therefore be spaced apart from one another. It is proposed that the feeler element has a central section which forms the key end and that one wing protrudes from the central section in opposite directions in the direction of extension of the key shaft.
- Each of these two wings can form a barrier shoulder, which each interacts with a blocking edge of a blocking element.
- Two locking elements can then be held in a locking position using the feeler element.
- the locking element can have a probe head that interacts with a drill recess of the key shaft.
- the locking element can preferably only be moved into a release position if the key broad side of the key shaft has a corresponding drilling depression into which the probe head of the locking element can enter. At least two conditions are then required so that the locking element can assume its release position.
- the sensing element must sense the presence of the coding surface and there must be a corresponding drill recess in the key shaft. If the feeler element interacts with two locking elements, a total of three conditions are required.
- the key end can be formed from an end face of the key element.
- the end face can have a V-shaped notch.
- the coding surface can be scanned with a wall of the notch or an edge of the notch.
- the edge of the notch can dip into the coding groove if the coding surface formed by the interruption of the coding groove is not present.
- the edge of the notch is therefore preferably designed in such a way that it can run along the undercut wall of the coding groove.
- the invention also relates to a lock cylinder which is capable of containing the coding elements of a key DE 10 2022100 895 to scan, wherein at least one coding element is a coding surface which is formed by an interrupted coding groove or clearance and in particular by an interrupted coding groove or clearance which forms an undercut wall.
- This locking cylinder is characterized in that the movement path of the feeler element runs in a projection plane, which runs transversely to the direction of extension of the key channel, at an angle of 20° to 70°, preferably 30° to 60°, to a surface normal of a central plane of the key channel.
- the edge edge of a groove or a rib of the key shaft can be specifically scanned using the feeler element, so that the direction of movement of the feeler element has a movement component in the direction of the wall of the groove or rib that forms the edge edge.
- the feeler element can cooperate with a locking section which crosses the bearing surface of the cylinder core in a locking position, wherein the locking section can be assigned to a locking element which can lie in the cylinder core or also in the cylinder housing in a release position.
- the movement path of the locking element can be the same as the movement path of the feeler element, in particular if the locking element and feeler element are to be moved from a locking position to a release position.
- the movement path of the locking element preferably runs in the direction of the surface normal of the central plane of the key channel or has an angle of inclination thereto. But it can also have an angle of inclination.
- the locking cylinder can have a hole that is adapted to the contour of the feeler element, so that the feeler element can be inserted into the hole from the outside.
- the bore can have a central section into which the above-mentioned plug can be inserted, against which the spring element is supported.
- the middle section of the hole supporting the feeler element can lie between two further holes, in each of which a locking element is mounted.
- the locking cylinder according to the invention can further be developed in that it has additional sensing elements or blocking elements with which the presence of the coding groove or clearance on either side of the coding surface or its full depth can be sensed.
- a movable locking pin with a sensing section for sensing the presence can be located between the opening of the key channel for inserting the key and the sensing element the coding groove or franking can be provided.
- a blocking pin can be arranged between the feeler element and an opposite end of the key channel, which faces the locking member.
- the blocking pin can be firmly inserted into a bore in the cylinder core and form a blocking section which protrudes into the coding groove or clearance.
- the movable locking pin can have a locking section for entering a locking recess in the housing cavity.
- the locking pin can also have a probe head that can enter a recess in the key shaft. This movable locking pin can only leave a locking position in which the locking section engages in the locking recess if the probe can enter the drilling trough.
- a sensing section can protrude laterally from the movable locking pin. The sensing section projects in particular transversely to the direction of extension of the key channel from an area of the locking pin located between the sensing head and the locking section.
- the tactile section forms a tactile end that can enter the coding groove or clearance. In particular, it is provided that there is a free space between the probe section and the probe head, into which, for example, a section of the undercut wall can enter.
- the lock cylinder shown is a double lock cylinder with a housing 1 which has a housing cavity 2 in which a cylinder core 3 is rotatably mounted.
- the cylinder core 3 is coupled to a locking member 34, which can be rotated by rotating the cylinder core 3 using a suitable key inserted into a key channel 4 of the cylinder core 3 in order to operate another lock.
- locking elements 9 are arranged in the cylinder core 3, the locking elements 9 being displaceably mounted in bores 24 of the cylinder core 3.
- the cylinder core 3 has a bore 23 which extends laterally offset from the bores 24 and in which a feeler element 7 is displaceably arranged.
- a coding surface 6 of the key shaft 5' can be scanned with a key end 7' of the key element 7.
- the locking elements 9 each have a probe 18, which can enter a drilling depression 19 in the broad side surface of the key shaft 5 ', so that a locking section 10, which is opposite the probe 18, can emerge from a locking recess 11 in the wall of the housing cavity 2.
- the key essentially corresponds to a key as in the DE 10 2022 100 895.9 is described, which is why the disclosure content of this document is included in its entirety in this disclosure, in particular in order to additionally claim features disclosed there.
- the key 5 has a flat key shaft 5 ', which has several variation grooves 15 and variation ribs in the longitudinal direction, i.e. in the direction of extension of the key shaft.
- the key shaft 5 ' has a coding groove 12, which forms a groove bottom 14 and an undercut groove wall 13. What is essential about this coding groove 12 is an interruption in which the depth of the coding groove 12 is reduced. In the exemplary embodiment, the depth of the coding groove 12 is approximately zero in the middle of the key shaft. This interruption forms a coding area 6. Adjacent to the coding surface 6, the groove bottom 14 runs continuously, starting from the coding surface 6, down to the full groove depth.
- a variation groove 15 is arranged, into which a rib 25 on the wall of the key channel 4 can engage.
- the coding groove 12 essentially has only one wall, namely the undercut wall 13.
- the position of the coding surface 6 can be different depending on the locking system.
- the distance of the coding surface 6, for example, from the opening of the key channel can vary depending on the locking system.
- the position of the coding surface 6 is therefore a means by which the variety of variations is increased.
- the Figure 8 shows a cross section through a key shaft 5 ', which has a variation groove 15.
- the wall of the key channel 4 of the lock cylinder can have a projection which projects into the key channel and which engages in this variation groove 15.
- the cross-sectional plane is placed in such a way that it passes through an interrupted section of one in the Figure 9 recognizable coding groove 12 runs.
- the cross-sectional plane is placed so that it runs through an uninterrupted section of the coding groove 12.
- the coding groove is, so to speak, a widening of the variation groove 15, which has two opposing groove walls.
- the height of one of the groove walls 15 ' is shortened when the coding groove 12 is manufactured.
- a step is formed between the groove wall 15 'and a groove bottom 14 of the coding groove 12.
- a groove wall 13 adjoins this groove base 14.
- the Figure 8 shows that the coding surface in this exemplary embodiment is formed by a rounded edge of the variation groove 15, in which the wall 15 'merges into a broad side surface 36.
- the wall 15' here also runs at an angle of inclination relative to the extension plane of the key shaft in such a way that the wall 15' is undercut.
- the feeler element 7 is supported with its feeler end 7' on the curve of the edge edge, the direction of movement of the feeler element being directed towards the curve.
- the variation groove 15 flanks a rib 38, which is narrowed during the production of the coding groove 12 and whose edge forms the coding surface 6.
- the key 5 also has a large number of drilling troughs 19 on its broad side into which probes 18 of the locking elements 9 can enter. Furthermore, the key shaft 5 'has coding recesses 21 in the form of notches cut into the chest of the key 5, which can have a different incision depth, with which the key 5 interacts with tumbler pins in a known manner.
- the presence of this groove interruption can be determined using the feeler element 7.
- the feeler element 7 is located in a, based on the axis of rotation of the cylinder core 3 towards the radially outwardly open bore 23.
- the bore 23 has a central section which is closed with a plug 22, on which a spring element 16 is supported, which moves the feeler element 7, which is displaceably arranged in the bore 23, in the direction of the key channel 4 applied.
- the bore 23 has an angle of inclination relative to a central plane of the key channel, which is in the range between 20° and 70°, preferably between 30° and 60° and particularly preferably approximately 45°. Due to the angle of inclination, the feeler element 7 has a direction of movement B7.
- the bore 23 has two sections arranged next to the central section, in each of which wings 17 of the feeler element 7 are arranged.
- the locking shoulders 8 interact with the locking edges 9 'of one locking element 9 each.
- the key end 7' of the key element 7 is designed in such a way that the locking shoulder 8 then lies in the movement path of the locking edge 9' when the coding surface 6 cannot be felt, for example when, like this Figure 12b shows, no key is inserted into the key channel 4 or the inserted key has a continuous coding groove 12, so that the key end 7 'can engage in the coding groove 12 and in particular scans the wall 13 of the coding groove 12 by the key end 7' on the wall 13 strikes. Then the locking shoulder 8 engages under the locking flank 9 ', which is formed by a step in which the probe 18 merges into a larger-diameter section of the locking element 9, whereby the locking element 9 can be designed rotationally symmetrical.
- the displacement of the feeler element 7 is inhibited when the key end 7' can sense the interrupted section between the two sections of the coding groove 12. Then the locking shoulder 8 is in the Figures 12 and 12a shown shifted back position.
- the Figures 6 , 11 and 11a show a movable locking pin 28 which is arranged between the opening of the key channel 4 and the feeler element 7.
- the movable locking pin 28 is mounted in a bore 29 of the cylinder core 4 and has a first section which forms a locking section 31 and a probe head 33.
- the probe 33 can enter a drilling depression 19 of the key shaft 5 ', so that a locking section 31, which otherwise engages in a locking recess 30 in the wall of the housing cavity 2, can leave this locking recess 30.
- an extension of the locking pin 28 extends, which forms a probe section 32 arranged next to the probe 18, which can engage in the coding groove 12.
- the locking pin 28 can only assume its release position if this is the case. Otherwise, the probe 33 cannot enter the drilling depression 19 assigned to it.
- a free space 35 extends between the scanning section 32 and the scanning head 33. An edge of the undercut wall 13 of the coding groove 12 can enter this free space.
- the direction of movement B9 of the locking element 9 runs essentially transversely to the central plane of the key channel 4.
- the direction of movement B9 is inclined relative to the direction of movement B7 of the feeler element 7 by 20° to 70°, preferably 30° and 60°, particularly preferably by approximately 45°.
- the Figures 9 and 13 show a fixed blocking pin 26, which is between the feeler element 7 and the closing member 34 or the closing member side End of the key channel 4 is arranged.
- the bore 27, in which the fixed blocking pin 26 is clamped runs parallel to the bores 29, 24, in which the locking elements 9 and 28 are mounted, and inclined to the bore 23 in which the feeler element 7 is located.
- a blocking section 26' protrudes into the key channel 4 and is capable of entering the coding groove 12. If the key inserted into the key channel 4 does not have a coding groove 12, the blocking section 26 'blocks the insertion of the key 5. The same thing happens if an interruption in the coding groove 12 is arranged in the area of a key tip.
- the locking elements 9 can assume a substantially undefined position.
- a locking element 9, which cooperates with the feeler element 7, can be held in a locking position in which the locking shoulder 8 engages under the locking edge 9 '.
- the feeler element 7 can be displaced maximally in the direction of the key channel 4 when the key 5 is not inserted. There it can hit a stop that prevents the feeler element 7 from leaving the bore 23 that supports it.
- the locking element 9 can also assume its release position and thus block the ability of the feeler element 7 to be moved.
- the movable locking pin 28 can also assume an undefined position.
- the heads 18 of the locking elements 9 slide along an inclined flank of the key tip and are moved into their locking position, in which a locking section 10 enters a locking recess 11.
- the probe element 7 is released again in order to scan the coding surface 6 with the key end 7 '. Since this is present with a suitable key, the feeler element 7 remains in the retracted position in which the locking shoulder 8 lies outside the movement path of the locking flank 9 ', so that the rounded locking section 10 rests on the sloping walls of the locking recess 11 when the key channel 4 is rotated can slide in order to emerge from the locking recess 11.
- the blocking section 26' of the blocking pin 26 dips through the coding groove 12.
- the sensing section 32 of the locking pin 28 can dip into the coding groove 12, so that the locking pin 28 can assume its release position in which its probe head 33 is in its position assigned drilling depression 19 occurs.
- the key channel 4 which only has a coding groove 12 in the area of the key tip, the key can be completely inserted into the key channel 4. It is also possible for the key end 7' to scan a coding surface 6 in which no coding groove 12 is present. However, if the rear section of the coding groove 12 is missing, the sensing section 32 of the locking pin 28 cannot penetrate into this rear section of the coding groove 12, which has the consequence that the locking section 31 cannot leave the locking recess 30 assigned to it.
- the coding surface 6 formed by the interruption is missing, with the result that the feeler element 7 is in contact with the key end 7' the coding groove 12 can enter, so that the two locking shoulders 8 of the feeler element 7 can enter the movement paths of the locking edge 9 'of the two adjacent locking elements 9, so that their locking sections 10 cannot emerge from the locking recesses 11 assigned to them.
- the bore 23 extends in the extension direction of the key channel 4 over the two bores 24, so that two locking elements 9 can be held in a locking position at the same time with a feeler element 7. It is also considered advantageous if the direction of movement B7 of the feeler element 7 is inclined in such a way that an edge edge region of a variation groove 15, which extends next to the coding groove 12, can be scanned with the feeler end 7 '. It is particularly advantageous if the wall of the variation groove 15 adjacent to this edge is an undercut wall. The scanned edge edge or the scanned coding surface 6 can thus be the transition from an undercut wall to a broad side surface of the key shaft. The movement path of the key end 7 'can be directed towards rounding the edge. In this area, the key end 7 'can be formed by a side wall of a notch in the end face of the key element 7.
- the Figures 17 to 26 describe further exemplary embodiments of a key that can interact with a lock cylinder of the type described above.
- the Figures 17 , 22 , 23 and 24 show that the coding surfaces 6 can have different lengths and can have different distances from a key tip or from a stop edge 39 of the key shaft.
- An elongated coding surface 6, such as in the Figure 17 is shown, can also be scanned with several probe elements.
- the coding surface 6 is a region of a rib 38 which adjoins a groove 15, a wall 15 'of the groove 15 or the rib 38 having been partially removed.
- the coding surface 6 is therefore a product of a recess or clearance in the area of the wall 15 '.
- the Figure 20 shows that the coding surface 6 can be interrupted by drilling depressions 19.

- the coding surface 6 can also be an area of reduced groove depth or an interrupted section of a groove 12 having at least one wall 15 and a groove base 14.
- the wall 15' should be a side wall that is undercut, i.e. in which the edge has a projection over the bottom of the groove.
- the locking shoulder 8 is formed by a wing 17 which projects in the extension direction of the key 4 from a section of the feeler element 7 which forms the feeler element 7 '. First and foremost, the invention proposes a locking system which consists of a lock cylinder and one or more matching keys. The coding surface formed by the key can be a rounded edge of a wall, a groove or a rib which adjoins a section of the key shaft belonging to the broad side. However, the coding surface can also be an area with reduced groove depth or an interrupted section of a groove having at least one wall and a groove bottom. The wall should form an undercut, i.e. protrude above the floor with an overhang. The lock cylinder can be a double lock cylinder. But it can also be a half cylinder. The lock cylinder has a housing cavity in which a cylinder core is rotatably mounted. The rotation of the cylinder core can be blocked by tumbler pins, with housing pins being displaceably mounted in a flange section of the housing of the lock cylinder. These housing pins can interact with core pins that are displaceably mounted in bores in the cylinder core. The core pins can have key ends with which coding recesses of the key, which can in particular be formed by notches cut into a key face, can be scanned. The key shaft has a coding surface formed by the interrupted portion of the coding groove. A coding groove can be a recess running in the extension direction of the key shaft. This depression has a bottom. The depression groove can have an area where the bottom is at a smaller distance from an edge formed by the opening of the coding groove. This area of reduced groove depth can be an interrupted section in the sense of the invention. An interrupted section of the coding groove can also be an area of the key shaft which is located between two separate sections of a coding groove in the direction of extension of the key. The coding groove is then, so to speak, completely filled by the interrupted section. The coding groove can have two opposing groove walls and a groove bottom. However, the coding groove can also be a widening of another groove that extends over the key shaft in the direction of extension. The coding groove can therefore be an angular recess that has a groove wall and a groove bottom. However, it is also provided that the coding groove extends over the entire broad side of a variation rib, so that when the coding groove is manufactured, the variation rib is removed except for an interrupted section. This interrupted section has the coding area. An interrupted section thus characterizes an area of the key shaft in which the coding groove has at least a reduced groove depth. A sensing element is mounted in the cylinder core and has a key end with which the presence of the coding surface can be sensed. This probe element can therefore be used to check whether the coding groove at the touch point of the button end has a predetermined minimum depth or even whether the coding groove is completely interrupted there. The feeler element can therefore be used to check whether an inserted key has a coding groove that extends over the entire length of the key shaft or whether a coding groove is interrupted in the wrong place. Such keys should not be able to close the lock cylinder. The feeler element is movably, in particular displaceably, mounted in a bore of the cylinder core and assumes a different position depending on whether the interruption of the coding groove is present or not present. There is at least one blocking element. The locking element can in principle be designed as described in the prior art mentioned at the outset. It can be inserted into a hole. In a locking position, the locking element crosses the cylindrical bearing surface of the cylinder core. In a release position, the locking element lies in the bore without crossing the bearing surface. The hole can be arranged in the wall of the housing cavity. However, the bore is preferably arranged in the cylinder core. The locking element can be in another hole in the cylinder core as the feeler element can be moved. The locking element has a locking section which rests in a locking recess in the housing cavity when the locking element is in a locking position. The button element can have the function of a locking or blocking element. The feeler element is preferably designed and arranged in such a way that a locking shoulder of the feeler element lies in the movement path of a locking edge of the locking element when the coding surface is not present, but rather where the coding surface is in a suitable key, a recess is present or the coding groove is there is not interrupted. The locking element can then not move out of the locking position. In a further development, it is proposed that the direction of movement of the locking element runs transversely to the extension plane of the key shaft or transversely to a central plane of the key channel and that the direction of movement of the feeler element is at an angle of, for example, 20° to 70°, preferably 30° to 60°, to the surface normal the extension plane of the key shaft. With this arrangement it can be achieved that the direction of movement of the feeler element is directed obliquely towards an edge of the coding groove. With such an arrangement, the sensing element is suitable for determining whether a particularly undercut wall of a coding groove is present. In this variant, recognition corresponds the preferably undercut wall and the non-recognition of the coding surface. It proves to be advantageous if the direction of movement of the feeler element runs approximately in the direction of an angle bisector between the direction of movement of the locking element and a broadside plane of the key shaft, this broadside plane being an imaginary plane that runs parallel to a central plane of the key shaft. The key channel has a central plane that coincides with the central plane of the key shaft when the key is inserted. Compared to this central plane, the movement path of the feeler element is inclined by an angle of inclination, which can be, for example, 45°, but is preferably in the above-mentioned angular range, with provision being made in particular that, based on a projection plane running transversely to the key channel, the directions of movement of the feeler element and of the locking element are offset from one another by an angle of 20 to 70 °, preferably 30 to 60 ° and particularly preferably by approximately 45 °. In a further development of the invention it is proposed that the feeler element is acted upon by a spring element in the direction of the key channel. The feeler element can lie in a hole in the cylinder core. There can be a plug in this hole against which the spring element is supported. The spring element thus acts on the feeler element in the direction of the key channel. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the key end of the key element is arranged in a different cross-sectional plane through the key channel than the locking element which interacts with the locking shoulder of the key element. For this purpose, the feeler element can have a wing projecting from a section forming the feeler end, which forms the locking edge. In relation to the direction of extension of the key shaft, the feeler element and locking element can therefore be spaced apart from one another. It is proposed that the feeler element has a central section which forms the key end and that one wing protrudes from the central section in opposite directions in the direction of extension of the key shaft. Each of these two wings can form a barrier shoulder, which each interacts with a blocking edge of a blocking element. Two locking elements can then be held in a locking position using the feeler element. The locking element can have a probe head that interacts with a drill recess of the key shaft. The locking element can preferably only be moved into a release position if the key broad side of the key shaft has a corresponding drilling depression into which the probe head of the locking element can enter. At least two conditions are then required so that the locking element can assume its release position. The sensing element must sense the presence of the coding surface and there must be a corresponding drill recess in the key shaft. If the feeler element interacts with two locking elements, a total of three conditions are required. The key end can be formed from an end face of the key element. For this purpose, the end face can have a V-shaped notch. The coding surface can be scanned with a wall of the notch or an edge of the notch. The edge of the notch can dip into the coding groove if the coding surface formed by the interruption of the coding groove is not present. The edge of the notch is therefore preferably designed in such a way that it can run along the undercut wall of the coding groove.

With a locking

The

The key 5 also has a large number of
The presence of this groove interruption can be determined using the

The functionality of the lock cylinder and the key 5 that matches it is as follows:
If there is no key in the
If a suitable key is inserted into the
While the appropriate key is being inserted, the blocking section 26' of the blocking
If, on the other hand, an unsuitable key is inserted into the
If an unsuitable key is inserted into the
If an unsuitable key is inserted into the key channel, which has a
It is considered advantageous that the

The invention relates in particular to further developments of a locking system in which the
It is also of independent importance that the locking
