Außerdem kann, muss aber ebenfalls nicht, eine Gehäusedichtung 18 vorhanden sein. Eine solche Gehäusedichtung 18 ist dann erforderlich, wenn der Steckverbinder 2 mit seinem Gehäuse 4 in einer Öffnung einer Montagebasis 19 eingesetzt und dort fest angeordnet ist. In der Figur 1 ist erkennbar, dass das Gehäuse 4 des Steckverbinders 2 durch die Öffnung der Montagebasis 19 hindurch reicht und einen Aufnahmeraum für den Gegensteckverbinder 3 bildet. Die äußere Kontur des Gehäuses 4 des Steckverbinders 2 weist dabei Rastlaschen (abschnittsweise oder vollständig umlaufende) auf, mit der sich das Gehäuse 4 des Steckverbinders 2 an der Montagebasis 19 festlegen lässt. Andere Arten der Festlegung des Gehäuses 4 des Steckverbinders 2 an der Montagebasis 19 sind ebenfalls möglich und grundsätzlich bekannt. Other ways of fixing the housing 4 of the connector 2 on the mounting base 19 are also possible and are generally known.
Figur 2 zeigt, basierend auf einigen Gleichteilen, die die Steckverbindung 1 gemäß Figur 1 aufweist, eine erfindungsgemäße Steckverbindung 100. Bei dieser Steckverbindung 100 ist jeweils eine Leitung 101 vorhanden, die ebenfalls einen elektrischen Leiter aufweist, an dessen Ende ein Kontaktpartner 12 angeordnet ist. Auch dieser Kontaktpartner 12 des Steckverbinders 2 der Steckverbindung 100 korrespondiert mit einem Kontaktpartner 14 des Gegensteckverbinders 3. Allerdings ist im Gegensatz zu der Steckverbindung 1 kein zweiter elektrischer Leiter 9 (siehe Figur 1 ) vorhanden, sondern in dem Gehäuse des Steckverbinders 2 der Steckverbindung 100 ist an einer Leitung 102 ein Potenzialelement 103 angeschlossen. Mit dem Potenzialelement 103 werden somit die zweiten elektrischen Leiter (gemäß Figur 1 die elektrischen Leiter 8 und deren zugehörigen Kontaktpartner) eingespart, sodass sich dadurch die Teilevielfalt reduziert. Es ist in vorteilhafter Weise nur noch erforderlich, dass Potenzialelement 103 über die elektrische Leitung 102 anzuschließen, damit das Potenzialelement 103, welches die Kontaktpartner für die zugehörigen Kontaktpartner des Gegensteckverbinders 3 bildet, mit diesen Kontaktpartnern des Gegensteckverbinders 3 zusammengesteckt werden kann, sodass dadurch der Montageaufwand verringert wird. Das bedeutet mit anderen Worten, dass mit dem Potenzialelement 103 mehrere Kontaktpartner des Steckverbinders 2 und die entsprechenden Leitungen hierfür (und ggfs weitere Teile wie Dichtungen und so weiter) eingespart werden können, da diese über das Potenzialelement 103 zusammengefasst werden. Das Potenzialelement 103 selber kann entweder elektrisch fest mit dem elektrischen Leiter der Leitung 102 kontaktiert werden (zum Beispiel durch Verlöten) oder es bildet ebenfalls einen Kontaktpartner aus, der mit einem Kontaktpartner, der am Ende des elektrischen Leiters der Leitung 102 angeschlossen ist, zusammengesteckt wird. Die übrigen Kontaktpartner des Steckverbinders 2 und die Kontaktpartner 104 des Gegensteckverbinders 3 bleiben wie in Figur 1 dargestellt unverändert und dienen unabhängig voneinander der Signal- /oder Energieübertragung, wohingegen die Kontaktpartner 14 des Gegensteckverbinders 3, die mit dem Potenzialelement 103 zusammengesteckt worden sind, alle auf dem gleichen Potenzial (wie zum Beispiel Masse) liegen. Der Kontaktpartner, der an der elektrischen Leiter der elektrischen Leitung 102 angeordnet und mit dem Potenzialelement 103 zusammengesteckt ist, weist die Bezugsziffer 105 auf. Die übrigen Elemente der Steckverbindung 1 , die nicht in direktem Zusammenhang mit dem Potenzialelement 103 stehen (wie insbesondere die Einzelleiterabdichtungen 16, 17, die Gehäusedichtung 18 und dergleichen) können auch bei der erfindungsgemäßen Steckverbindung 100 vorhanden sein, müssen es aber nicht. Auch das Gehäuse 4 des Steckverbinders 2 der Steckverbindung 100 kann in einer Öffnung der Montagebasis 19 eingesetzt und dort vorzugsweise rastend festgelegt werden. Von besonderem Vorteil ist es, wenn die Montagebasis 19 ein Karosserieblech eines Fahrzeuges, insbesondere im Bereich einer Achsverkabelung (für Drehzahlsensoren, ABS-Sensoren, Aktoren für eine Dämpfereinstellung und dergleichen) oder wenn die Montagebasis 19 ein Teil eines Anbauteiles, insbesondere eines Spiegels, eines Fahrzeuges ist. Denn gerade in diesen Bereichen steht nicht ausreichend Bauraum zur Verfügung, um einen entsprechend dicken Kabelbaum zu verlegen, sodass hier die Reduzierung der Teilevielfalt, insbesondere die Reduzierung von elektrischen Leitungen, von besonderem Vorteil ist. Flinzu kommt, vor allem im Bereich der Achsverkabelung, der Vorteil der Gewichtsersparnis, wenn weniger elektrische Leitungen vorhanden sind. Claims

Patentansprüche Claims
1. Steckverbindung (100), aufweisend einen Steckverbinder (2) und einen damit zusammensteckbaren Gegensteckverbinder (3), wobei der Steckverbinder (2) ein Gehäuse (4) aufweist, in dem mehrere Kontaktpartner angeordnet sind, die mit korrespondierenden Kontaktpartnern des Gegensteckverbinders (3) zusammensteckbar sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass in dem Gehäuse (4) des Steckverbinders (2) ein Potentialelement (103) angeordnet ist, das zumindest Kontaktpartner des Steckverbinders (2) für einen Teil der korrespondierenden Kontaktpartner des Gegensteckverbinders (3) bildet. 1.
