Definitions

  • the present application relates to seating furniture according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the seating furniture which can be designed in particular in the form of a sofa or an armchair, comprises a frame by means of which the seating furniture can be set up on a surface. Furthermore, the seating furniture includes at least one seating element on which a person can sit. Typically, the seating furniture includes a plurality of seating elements, for example two seating elements in a 2-seater sofa or three seating elements in a 3-seater sofa. Finally, the seating furniture includes at least one swivel seat fitting, by means of which at least one seat element is mounted on the frame.
  • the respective seat element interacts with the swivel seat fitting in such a way that the seat element can be rotated relative to the frame about a vertical axis between a normal position and a rotational position.
  • the seat element When in the normal position, the seat element is generally aligned in such a way that a front or a back of the seat element is aligned in accordance with any other seat elements.
  • a 2-seater sofa that includes two seating elements
  • backrests of the seating elements are arranged in the same alignment on a back of the seating furniture.
  • a respective seat element When in the rotational position, a respective seat element can be rotated - in particular by 90 ° - about the vertical axis compared to the normal position. In this way it is possible to change the orientation of the seat element, which can be particularly advantageous for seat elements with rectangular seat cushions. This can, for example, be aligned when the seat element is in its normal position in such a way that the longitudinal axis of the seat cushion is aligned parallel to a longitudinal axis of the seating furniture.
  • the seat element can now be rotated particularly easily by 90° around the vertical axis using the rotating seat fitting, so that the longitudinal axis of the seat cushion is now vertical is oriented towards the longitudinal axis of the seating furniture.
  • the rotary seat fitting has at least one guide device which defines at least one elongated guide route, preferably two elongated guide routes.
  • the management device is suitable for this, with at least to cooperate with a guide element that is assigned to the seat element.
  • the guide element interacts in a form-fitting manner with the guide device and can be guided along the guide path during the transfer of the seat element between the normal position and the rotational position. If there are several guide sections, the seat element can interact with a corresponding plurality of guide elements, with one guide element corresponding to a guide section. By means of the interaction of the guide element with the guide device, the seat element can be moved in the desired manner.
  • the rotational movement of the rotatable seat element about the vertical axis is therefore designed in cooperation with the guide device of the rotary seat fitting in such a way that a front corner of the seat cushion of the rotatable seat element facing the fixed seat element is guided along a straight line in the course of the transfer of the same into its rotational position is oriented parallel to a transverse axis of the seating furniture.
  • there is no displacement of said corner in the direction of the fixed seat element so that a rubbing contact between the corner of the seat cushion of the rotating seat element and the seat cushion of the fixed seat element is at least largely avoided.
  • the DE 201 00 663 U1 discloses a seating/reclining piece of furniture which has at least one lower part and at least one upper part having a seating/lying surface, which can be adjusted between two end positions by means of an adjustment mechanism relative to the lower part in a plane that runs at least approximately parallel to the seating/lying surface, wherein the adjustment movement of the upper part is composed of at least one translational movement and at least one rotary movement.
  • the pivoting device has two guide rails made of C-shaped profiles, which are positioned on a frame of the upholstered furniture below the seat part, the two guide rails being arranged at an angle to one another.
  • the guide rails each contain a guide slot in which a sliding block is slidably mounted.
  • the sliding block in turn acts via an upwardly projecting cylindrical pin with a hole in a tab, which in turn is connected to an underside of the seat part by means of screws.
  • a frame of the seating or lying furniture has two guide rails arranged approximately at right angles, in each of which a pin of the element engages.
  • the guide rail can be formed by a C-profile, the pivotable element having two hinges, each assigned to a guide rail, to which a pin and a roller attached to the pin are attached. The respective roller is positioned within the guide rail and can be moved within it.
  • the base frame of the lying surface has two C-shaped guide rails in which sliders, which are attached to a lower plate of the lying surface, are guided in such a way that the lying surface can be rotated through 90°.
  • the guide rails are arranged at an angle of approximately 45° to one another.
  • the structure of the guide element consists of a slider, a slider, a guide ring, a stud bolt and a nut.
  • the guide ring is assigned to an upper side and the slider to an underside of the respective guide slot.
  • the interaction of the seat element with the swivel seat fitting has proven to be comparatively complex.
  • tilting can occur between the guide element of the seat element and the guide device of the swivel seat fitting, causing the seat element to be transferred between its normal position and its rotational position at least hindered, at worst even blocked.
  • this means that turning the seat element into the desired position is perceived as so cumbersome that the function is only rarely used.
  • the present application is therefore based on the object of providing a piece of seating furniture in which the transfer of the seat element between its normal position and its rotational position is simplified compared to the prior art.
  • the guide device has at least two guide slots, preferably exactly two guide slots, each of which defines a guide path.
  • the seat element comprises at least two guide elements, one of which interacts with one of the guide slots.
  • the guide elements each comprise a sliding block which is guided in the associated guide slot.
  • the sliding blocks each include a sliding bar which extends through the associated guide slot.
  • each sliding bar comprises two spaced-apart sliding jaws, a first sliding jaw being assigned to an upper side of the associated guide slot and the other sliding jaw being assigned to the underside of the associated guide slot.
  • the sliding jaws are also thicker than the sliding bar, so that the respective sliding block is mounted in the respective guide slot when viewed in the axial direction of the sliding bar.
  • the sliding jaws prevent the respective sliding block from being pulled out of the respective guide slot and thereby losing its contact with the guide device.
  • the sliding block is preferably designed to be rotationally symmetrical.
  • the guide slots are arranged relative to one another in such a way that they together form an L-shape, so that guiding the guide elements along the guide slots causes the seat element to rotate relative to the frame about the vertical axis. In other words, the guidance of the guide elements along the guide slots is the cause of the rotation of the seat element.
  • main axes of the guide slots which extend through respective starting points and end points of the guide slots, are at least essentially, preferably precisely, aligned perpendicular to each other.
  • the guide slots extend together in one plane, the guide device preferably being formed by a guide plate which has the two guide slots.
  • the guide plate is preferably formed in one piece.
  • the seating furniture according to the invention has many advantages.
  • the design of the guide device with at least two guide slots and the guide elements in the form of sliding blocks is particularly well suited to minimizing frictional resistance that occurs during the transfer of the seat element between its normal position and its rotational position.
  • the tilting known in the prior art when using the seating furniture according to the invention is significantly less likely, if not impossible, since the sliding rods and the guide slots do not form mutual flat contact surfaces on which tilting can occur. This is particularly true if the sliding rods have a rounded, preferably circular, cross-section, at least in the area of the respective guide slot, which allows axial rotation of the sliding rod relative to the guide device.
  • the sliding jaws also have a rounded, preferably circular cross section in cross sections guided perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the sliding rod.
  • at least one of the sliding blocks, preferably both sliding blocks is designed to be rotationally symmetrical overall.
  • at least all components of the respective sliding bar that are in contact with the guide device are designed to be rotationally symmetrical, with the longitudinal axis of the sliding bar forming the axis of symmetry.
  • the design of the guide device in the manner described also has the advantage that the seat element can be guided on the rotating seat fitting by means of two sliding blocks, whereby a clear guide movement is determined. This makes it particularly easy for the user of the seating furniture to transfer the seat element between the normal position and the rotating position as desired, without having to independently ensure that the seat element is guided correctly.
  • the sliding jaws are rounded at their ends facing the respective guide slot. This contributes to the sliding rod having a certain rotational play in relation to the guide slot, that is to say it can be rotated without tilting relative to the guide slot about axes of rotation extending in a slot plane of the guide slot.
  • the sliding jaws form little or no flat stop surfaces towards the guide device, which can cause tilting could cause and/or prevent rotational play.
  • the respective sliding rod can be slightly inclined relative to the guide slot without any tilting with the guide device. This has the particular advantage that the orientation of the seat element in space relative to the swivel seat fitting can be changed at least to a certain extent. In this way, in particular, an inclination of the seat element relative to a horizontal can be adjusted ("seat slope"), as explained separately below.
  • Such a design of the seating furniture can be advantageous in which a distance measured in the axial direction of the respective sliding rod between mutually facing stop surfaces of the sliding jaws exceeds a slot height measured perpendicular to the slot plane of the respective associated guide slot.
  • said distance only minimally exceeds the slot height, in particular the distance is at most 120%, preferably at most 110%, of the slot height.
  • the combination of the mentioned distance between the mutually facing stop surfaces of the sliding jaws with the roundings described above is advantageous so that the sliding block can move and rotate to a certain extent - in relation to the guide device or the associated guide slot - but at the same time its guide function is concerned Guidance of the seat element relative to the swivel seat fitting.
  • the sliding blocks each have a sliding element in the area of the associated guide slots, which is formed on the circumference of the associated sliding bar.
  • the sliding element therefore surrounds the sliding rod and creates direct frictional contact between the respective sliding block and the inner slot edges of the guide slot.
  • the sliding element advantageously has a plano-convex partial cross-section, with the sliding element - viewed from an outer lateral surface of the sliding rod - curving convexly towards the slot edge of the guide slot. This configuration prevents the sliding element from touching the flat edge of the slot, which further prevents tilting.
  • the sliding element leads to a further reduction in the frictional forces acting between the sliding block and the guide slot, since the contact or friction surface between the sliding block and the guide device is minimized in the area of the slot edges. This makes it even easier to guide the sliding block in the guide slot.
  • the application requires input from the user of the seating furniture requires only a particularly small amount of force to transfer the seat element between its normal position and its rotational position.
  • the sliding element is preferably formed from a hard plastic, which forms a smooth surface and has a low coefficient of friction.
  • the seat element has a seat slope, at least when it is in its normal position, preferably also when it is in its rotational position. This is expressed in the fact that a seat plane of the seat element is inclined towards a back of the seating furniture compared to a horizontal plane.
  • the guide device is advantageously arranged in the horizontal plane or extends within the horizontal plane.
  • the inclination can in particular be in the angular range between 2° and 5°.
  • the design of the seating furniture with the described seating gradient is particularly advantageous with regard to the comfort of use of the seating furniture, since at least when the seating element is in its normal position, the user of the seating furniture sits slightly inclined backwards towards a backrest of the seating furniture, which is generally perceived as comfortable .
  • the special feature of the design of the seat element with the seat gradient described is possible particularly easily by means of the inventive design of the guide device and the guide element, since the seat element can follow the described inclination of the seat plane relative to the horizontal plane using the play of a sliding block described above in relation to the associated guide slot , without the sliding blocks tilting in the associated guide slot.
  • the particularly good guiding properties or sliding properties of the sliding blocks in the guide slots can be combined with a seat gradient of the seat element that is comfortable for the user.
  • the guide device comprises at least one guide plate, into which at least one of the guide slots is introduced.
  • the guide plate is advantageously designed to be flat.
  • opposing surfaces of the guide plate (top and bottom) each extend in one plane.
  • the design of the guide device in this way is particularly simple in order to provide at least one guide slot, preferably at least two guide slots. The latter is advantageously designed in such a way that it completely penetrates the guide plate.
  • the guide device such a design of the seating furniture can also be particularly advantageous in which at least one of the guide slots, preferably both guide slots, is or are designed to be non-linear.
  • a central axis of the respective guide slot does not extend completely along a straight line, but rather deviates from the straight line at least over part of its length.
  • the guide slot has changing radii of curvature along its central axis.
  • the guide slot is preferably designed in such a way that it does not have any discontinuities in the form of kinks that could hinder guidance of the sliding block along the guide slot.
  • at least the first derivative of the central axis preferably has no jumps.
  • the second derivative of the central axis is also without jumps.
  • the non-linear design of at least one of the guide slots offers the particular advantage that the seat element, in the course of its transfer between its normal position and its rotational position, also carries out a translational movement in the horizontal plane in addition to the rotational movement about the vertical axis. This makes it possible, in particular, to move the seat element horizontally away from any adjacent seat element, at least during part of its transfer, so that rubbing contact between the seat cushions of the seat elements is avoided. It is also avoided that the seat element rotated about the vertical axis has to be "pressed" into the adjacent seat element in the course of this rotation.
  • Such contact between a stationary and a moving seat element can permanently lead to undesirable wear and abrasion of the respective fabric or leather cover of the seat elements, which must be avoided.
  • the non-linear design of the guide slot helps to avoid this without having to arrange the adjacent seat elements at a distance from one another from the outset in order to avoid the described frictional contact between the seat cushions in the course of transferring one of the seat elements between its normal position and its rotational position.
  • a spaced arrangement of the adjacent seating elements leads to a noticeable, undesirable gap between the seating elements, which is perceived as uncomfortable when using the seating furniture.
  • At least one guide slot is assigned to a back of the seating furniture and at least one further guide slot is assigned to a transverse axis of the seating furniture, the transverse axis being oriented perpendicular to the back of the seating furniture.
  • the seating furniture comprises at least two seating elements, it is advantageous if the guide slot assigned to the transverse axis of the seating furniture has one is assigned to the edge region of the respective affected seat element facing the other seat element.
  • the seating furniture includes a locking mechanism, by means of which the seat element is at least in its normal position and / or its rotational position can be locked or locked relative to the frame.
  • the locking mechanism advantageously works both in the normal position and in the rotation position.
  • it can be set up to form a positive connection, with preferably at least one first locking partner interacting with at least one second locking partner.
  • the first locking partner can in particular be formed by a bearing pin and at least a second locking partner can be formed by a recess or depression corresponding to the bearing pin.
  • the bearing pin can engage in the recess in a form-fitting manner and in this way lock the seat element relative to the frame in such a way that unintentional rotation of the seat element about the vertical axis is blocked.
  • At least one of the two locking partners is present twice, so that the seat element can be locked relative to the frame in at least two different positions, in particular the normal position and the rotation position.
  • the double locking partners are located at different locations, with one of the double locking partners corresponding to the normal position and the other to the rotational position of the seat element.
  • the first locking partner designed as a bearing pin is formed on the frame and at least two locking partners designed as recesses are formed on the seat element.
  • the recesses in this version form the “double locking partner”.
  • the recesses are arranged on the seat element in such a way that when the bearing pin engages with the first recess, the seat element is locked in its normal position when it is in its normal position and when the bearing pin engages with the second recess, the seat element is locked relative to the frame when it is in its rotational position .
  • Arranging only one bearing pin on the frame offers the advantage that in the course of transferring the seat element between the normal position and the rotation position, an unintentional collision between parts of the seat element and parts of the frame only has to be taken into account with reference to the one bearing pin.
  • To rotate the seat element it is then particularly easy to briefly lift and open the latter In this way, the positive connection between the bearing pin and the associated recess can be canceled and the seat element can be rotated minimally about the vertical axis so that when the seat element is lowered, the bearing pin is no longer arranged congruently with the recess and accordingly cannot enter into it.
  • the positive connection does not occur, whereupon the seat element is freely rotatable relative to the frame about the vertical axis and can be rotated in the desired manner in the direction of the respective position.
  • the bearing pin automatically enters the recess corresponding to the respective position and leads to the desired locking of the seat element relative to the frame.
  • the seat element has a sliding plate on its underside, which includes the two locking partners designed in the form of the recesses.
  • the sliding plate is advantageously completely smooth in an area between the recesses, so that any frictional resistance that occurs as a result of a frictional contact of the bearing pin with the sliding plate during the transfer of the seat element is low.
  • the bearing pin is preferably guided in a sliding manner between the two recesses completely along an underside of the sliding plate. The movement of the seat element can be achieved effectively with particularly little effort with the aid of the sliding plate, although experience has shown that simply pushing the seat element using a finger is sufficient to bring about the desired rotation of the seat element about the vertical axis.

Description

The present application relates to seating furniture according to the preamble of claim 1.

The seating furniture, which can be designed in particular in the form of a sofa or an armchair, comprises a frame by means of which the seating furniture can be set up on a surface. Here, the respective seat element interacts with the swivel seat fitting in such a way that the seat element can be rotated relative to the frame about a vertical axis between a normal position and a rotational position. When in the normal position, the seat element is generally aligned in such a way that a front or a back of the seat element is aligned in accordance with any other seat elements. Using the example of a 2-seater sofa that includes two seating elements, when the seating elements are in their respective normal positions, backrests of the seating elements are arranged in the same alignment on a back of the seating furniture.

When in the rotational position, a respective seat element can be rotated - in particular by 90 ° - about the vertical axis compared to the normal position. In order to change the orientation of the seat cushion in such a way that the user of the seat is provided with a leg rest towards the front of the seat, the seat element can now be rotated particularly easily by 90° around the vertical axis using the rotating seat fitting, so that the longitudinal axis of the seat cushion is now vertical is oriented towards the longitudinal axis of the seating furniture.

For this purpose, the rotary seat fitting has at least one guide device which defines at least one elongated guide route, preferably two elongated guide routes. The management device is suitable for this, with at least to cooperate with a guide element that is assigned to the seat element. The guide element interacts in a form-fitting manner with the guide device and can be guided along the guide path during the transfer of the seat element between the normal position and the rotational position. If there are several guide sections, the seat element can interact with a corresponding plurality of guide elements, with one guide element corresponding to a guide section. By means of the interaction of the guide element with the guide device, the seat element can be moved in the desired manner.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Seating furniture of the type described above is already known in the prior art. For this purpose, reference is made in particular to the utility model specification DE 201 16 333 U1 pointed out. This describes a swivel seat fitting (referred to there as a “swivel fitting”) and an associated adjustable piece of furniture. The special feature of the furniture disclosed is that a respective seat element, which interacts with the rotating seat fitting, can be moved between its normal position and its rotating position in such a way that a collision of the seat cushion of the rotatable seat element with the seat cushion of the adjacent, fixed seat element is avoided. The rotational movement of the rotatable seat element about the vertical axis is therefore designed in cooperation with the guide device of the rotary seat fitting in such a way that a front corner of the seat cushion of the rotatable seat element facing the fixed seat element is guided along a straight line in the course of the transfer of the same into its rotational position is oriented parallel to a transverse axis of the seating furniture. In particular, there is no displacement of said corner in the direction of the fixed seat element, so that a rubbing contact between the corner of the seat cushion of the rotating seat element and the seat cushion of the fixed seat element is at least largely avoided.

Furthermore, the DE 201 00 663 U1 referred. This discloses a seating/reclining piece of furniture which has at least one lower part and at least one upper part having a seating/lying surface, which can be adjusted between two end positions by means of an adjustment mechanism relative to the lower part in a plane that runs at least approximately parallel to the seating/lying surface, wherein the adjustment movement of the upper part is composed of at least one translational movement and at least one rotary movement.

Next is the document DE 299 19 083 U1 pointed out. This discloses an upholstered piece of furniture in which a seat part can be transferred from a resting position to a lying position by means of a pivoting device, so that a user can assume a semi-sitting position or a lying position as desired. The pivoting device has two guide rails made of C-shaped profiles, which are positioned on a frame of the upholstered furniture below the seat part, the two guide rails being arranged at an angle to one another. The guide rails each contain a guide slot in which a sliding block is slidably mounted. The sliding block in turn acts via an upwardly projecting cylindrical pin with a hole in a tab, which in turn is connected to an underside of the seat part by means of screws. When the sliding blocks are guided along the guide slots, the seat part rotates by 90°.

This describes a sofa with a swiveling lying surface. For this purpose, the base frame of the lying surface has two C-shaped guide rails in which sliders, which are attached to a lower plate of the lying surface, are guided in such a way that the lying surface can be rotated through 90°. The guide rails are arranged at an angle of approximately 45° to one another. The structure of the guide element consists of a slider, a slider, a guide ring, a stud bolt and a nut. The guide ring is assigned to an upper side and the slider to an underside of the respective guide slot.

In the known seating furniture, the interaction of the seat element with the swivel seat fitting has proven to be comparatively complex. In particular, tilting can occur between the guide element of the seat element and the guide device of the swivel seat fitting, causing the seat element to be transferred between its normal position and its rotational position at least hindered, at worst even blocked. In practice, this means that turning the seat element into the desired position is perceived as so cumbersome that the function is only rarely used.

AufgabeTask

The present application is therefore based on the object of providing a piece of seating furniture in which the transfer of the seat element between its normal position and its rotational position is simplified compared to the prior art.

The underlying object is achieved according to the invention by means of a seating furniture with the features of claim 1. Advantageous refinements result from the associated subclaims.

In the seating furniture according to the invention, the guide device has at least two guide slots, preferably exactly two guide slots, each of which defines a guide path. Furthermore, the seat element comprises at least two guide elements, one of which interacts with one of the guide slots. The guide elements each comprise a sliding block which is guided in the associated guide slot. The sliding blocks each include a sliding bar which extends through the associated guide slot. In addition, each sliding bar comprises two spaced-apart sliding jaws, a first sliding jaw being assigned to an upper side of the associated guide slot and the other sliding jaw being assigned to the underside of the associated guide slot. The sliding jaws are also thicker than the sliding bar, so that the respective sliding block is mounted in the respective guide slot when viewed in the axial direction of the sliding bar. In other words, the sliding jaws prevent the respective sliding block from being pulled out of the respective guide slot and thereby losing its contact with the guide device. The sliding block is preferably designed to be rotationally symmetrical. Furthermore, the guide slots are arranged relative to one another in such a way that they together form an L-shape, so that guiding the guide elements along the guide slots causes the seat element to rotate relative to the frame about the vertical axis. In other words, the guidance of the guide elements along the guide slots is the cause of the rotation of the seat element.

Preferably, main axes of the guide slots, which extend through respective starting points and end points of the guide slots, are at least essentially, preferably precisely, aligned perpendicular to each other. Regardless of this, it can in principle be advantageous if the guide slots extend together in one plane, the guide device preferably being formed by a guide plate which has the two guide slots. The guide plate is preferably formed in one piece.

The seating furniture according to the invention has many advantages. In particular, the design of the guide device with at least two guide slots and the guide elements in the form of sliding blocks is particularly well suited to minimizing frictional resistance that occurs during the transfer of the seat element between its normal position and its rotational position. In addition, the tilting known in the prior art when using the seating furniture according to the invention is significantly less likely, if not impossible, since the sliding rods and the guide slots do not form mutual flat contact surfaces on which tilting can occur. This is particularly true if the sliding rods have a rounded, preferably circular, cross-section, at least in the area of the respective guide slot, which allows axial rotation of the sliding rod relative to the guide device. Further preferably, the sliding jaws also have a rounded, preferably circular cross section in cross sections guided perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the sliding rod. Preferably, at least one of the sliding blocks, preferably both sliding blocks, is designed to be rotationally symmetrical overall. Preferably, at least all components of the respective sliding bar that are in contact with the guide device are designed to be rotationally symmetrical, with the longitudinal axis of the sliding bar forming the axis of symmetry.

The design of the guide device in the manner described also has the advantage that the seat element can be guided on the rotating seat fitting by means of two sliding blocks, whereby a clear guide movement is determined. This makes it particularly easy for the user of the seating furniture to transfer the seat element between the normal position and the rotating position as desired, without having to independently ensure that the seat element is guided correctly.

According to the invention, the sliding jaws are rounded at their ends facing the respective guide slot. This contributes to the sliding rod having a certain rotational play in relation to the guide slot, that is to say it can be rotated without tilting relative to the guide slot about axes of rotation extending in a slot plane of the guide slot. In particular, the sliding jaws form little or no flat stop surfaces towards the guide device, which can cause tilting could cause and/or prevent rotational play. In particular, due to the rounding of the sliding jaws, the respective sliding rod can be slightly inclined relative to the guide slot without any tilting with the guide device. This has the particular advantage that the orientation of the seat element in space relative to the swivel seat fitting can be changed at least to a certain extent. In this way, in particular, an inclination of the seat element relative to a horizontal can be adjusted ("seat slope"), as explained separately below.

Such a design of the seating furniture can be advantageous in which a distance measured in the axial direction of the respective sliding rod between mutually facing stop surfaces of the sliding jaws exceeds a slot height measured perpendicular to the slot plane of the respective associated guide slot. Preferably, said distance only minimally exceeds the slot height, in particular the distance is at most 120%, preferably at most 110%, of the slot height. This configuration offers the advantage that the sliding block has a certain axial play relative to the guide device, which additionally prevents the sliding block from tilting on the guide device. In particular, the combination of the mentioned distance between the mutually facing stop surfaces of the sliding jaws with the roundings described above is advantageous so that the sliding block can move and rotate to a certain extent - in relation to the guide device or the associated guide slot - but at the same time its guide function is concerned Guidance of the seat element relative to the swivel seat fitting.

Further developing the seating furniture according to the invention, the sliding blocks each have a sliding element in the area of the associated guide slots, which is formed on the circumference of the associated sliding bar. The sliding element therefore surrounds the sliding rod and creates direct frictional contact between the respective sliding block and the inner slot edges of the guide slot. The sliding element advantageously has a plano-convex partial cross-section, with the sliding element - viewed from an outer lateral surface of the sliding rod - curving convexly towards the slot edge of the guide slot. This configuration prevents the sliding element from touching the flat edge of the slot, which further prevents tilting. Furthermore, the sliding element leads to a further reduction in the frictional forces acting between the sliding block and the guide slot, since the contact or friction surface between the sliding block and the guide device is minimized in the area of the slot edges. This makes it even easier to guide the sliding block in the guide slot. The application requires input from the user of the seating furniture requires only a particularly small amount of force to transfer the seat element between its normal position and its rotational position. The sliding element is preferably formed from a hard plastic, which forms a smooth surface and has a low coefficient of friction.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the seating furniture according to the invention, the seat element has a seat slope, at least when it is in its normal position, preferably also when it is in its rotational position. This is expressed in the fact that a seat plane of the seat element is inclined towards a back of the seating furniture compared to a horizontal plane. Here, the guide device is advantageously arranged in the horizontal plane or extends within the horizontal plane. The inclination can in particular be in the angular range between 2° and 5°. The design of the seating furniture with the described seating gradient is particularly advantageous with regard to the comfort of use of the seating furniture, since at least when the seating element is in its normal position, the user of the seating furniture sits slightly inclined backwards towards a backrest of the seating furniture, which is generally perceived as comfortable .

The special feature of the design of the seat element with the seat gradient described is possible particularly easily by means of the inventive design of the guide device and the guide element, since the seat element can follow the described inclination of the seat plane relative to the horizontal plane using the play of a sliding block described above in relation to the associated guide slot , without the sliding blocks tilting in the associated guide slot. In the seating furniture according to the invention, the particularly good guiding properties or sliding properties of the sliding blocks in the guide slots can be combined with a seat gradient of the seat element that is comfortable for the user.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the seating furniture according to the invention, the guide device comprises at least one guide plate, into which at least one of the guide slots is introduced. Here, the guide plate is advantageously designed to be flat. In this embodiment, opposing surfaces of the guide plate (top and bottom) each extend in one plane. The design of the guide device in this way is particularly simple in order to provide at least one guide slot, preferably at least two guide slots. The latter is advantageously designed in such a way that it completely penetrates the guide plate.

With regard to the guide device, such a design of the seating furniture can also be particularly advantageous in which at least one of the guide slots, preferably both guide slots, is or are designed to be non-linear. This means that a central axis of the respective guide slot does not extend completely along a straight line, but rather deviates from the straight line at least over part of its length. Advantageously, the guide slot has changing radii of curvature along its central axis. Here, the guide slot is preferably designed in such a way that it does not have any discontinuities in the form of kinks that could hinder guidance of the sliding block along the guide slot. Expressed mathematically, at least the first derivative of the central axis preferably has no jumps. Further preferably, the second derivative of the central axis is also without jumps. The non-linear design of at least one of the guide slots offers the particular advantage that the seat element, in the course of its transfer between its normal position and its rotational position, also carries out a translational movement in the horizontal plane in addition to the rotational movement about the vertical axis. Such contact between a stationary and a moving seat element can permanently lead to undesirable wear and abrasion of the respective fabric or leather cover of the seat elements, which must be avoided. The non-linear design of the guide slot helps to avoid this without having to arrange the adjacent seat elements at a distance from one another from the outset in order to avoid the described frictional contact between the seat cushions in the course of transferring one of the seat elements between its normal position and its rotational position. A spaced arrangement of the adjacent seating elements leads to a noticeable, undesirable gap between the seating elements, which is perceived as uncomfortable when using the seating furniture.

Furthermore, it can be particularly advantageous if at least one guide slot is assigned to a back of the seating furniture and at least one further guide slot is assigned to a transverse axis of the seating furniture, the transverse axis being oriented perpendicular to the back of the seating furniture. If the seating furniture comprises at least two seating elements, it is advantageous if the guide slot assigned to the transverse axis of the seating furniture has one is assigned to the edge region of the respective affected seat element facing the other seat element.

In order to avoid that the seat element is inadvertently rotated from its normal position towards its rotational position or vice versa around the vertical axis, it can also be advantageous if the seating furniture includes a locking mechanism, by means of which the seat element is at least in its normal position and / or its rotational position can be locked or locked relative to the frame. The locking mechanism advantageously works both in the normal position and in the rotation position. In particular, it can be set up to form a positive connection, with preferably at least one first locking partner interacting with at least one second locking partner. The first locking partner can in particular be formed by a bearing pin and at least a second locking partner can be formed by a recess or depression corresponding to the bearing pin. In such a configuration, the bearing pin can engage in the recess in a form-fitting manner and in this way lock the seat element relative to the frame in such a way that unintentional rotation of the seat element about the vertical axis is blocked.

Advantageously, at least one of the two locking partners is present twice, so that the seat element can be locked relative to the frame in at least two different positions, in particular the normal position and the rotation position. For this purpose, the double locking partners are located at different locations, with one of the double locking partners corresponding to the normal position and the other to the rotational position of the seat element.

It is also advantageous if the first locking partner designed as a bearing pin is formed on the frame and at least two locking partners designed as recesses are formed on the seat element. In the sense of the above description, the recesses in this version form the “double locking partner”. The recesses are arranged on the seat element in such a way that when the bearing pin engages with the first recess, the seat element is locked in its normal position when it is in its normal position and when the bearing pin engages with the second recess, the seat element is locked relative to the frame when it is in its rotational position . Arranging only one bearing pin on the frame offers the advantage that in the course of transferring the seat element between the normal position and the rotation position, an unintentional collision between parts of the seat element and parts of the frame only has to be taken into account with reference to the one bearing pin. To rotate the seat element, it is then particularly easy to briefly lift and open the latter In this way, the positive connection between the bearing pin and the associated recess can be canceled and the seat element can be rotated minimally about the vertical axis so that when the seat element is lowered, the bearing pin is no longer arranged congruently with the recess and accordingly cannot enter into it. As a result, the positive connection does not occur, whereupon the seat element is freely rotatable relative to the frame about the vertical axis and can be rotated in the desired manner in the direction of the respective position. When the latter is reached, the bearing pin automatically enters the recess corresponding to the respective position and leads to the desired locking of the seat element relative to the frame. There is no need for further consideration by the user. In particular, it is not necessary for the user to align the seat element exactly with respect to the frame in order to achieve the desired positive connection between the locking partners.

In order to further simplify the transfer of the seat element between the normal position and the rotational position, it is also particularly advantageous if the seat element has a sliding plate on its underside, which includes the two locking partners designed in the form of the recesses. The sliding plate is advantageously completely smooth in an area between the recesses, so that any frictional resistance that occurs as a result of a frictional contact of the bearing pin with the sliding plate during the transfer of the seat element is low. When transferring the seat element between its normal position and its rotational position, the bearing pin is preferably guided in a sliding manner between the two recesses completely along an underside of the sliding plate. The movement of the seat element can be achieved effectively with particularly little effort with the aid of the sliding plate, although experience has shown that simply pushing the seat element using a finger is sufficient to bring about the desired rotation of the seat element about the vertical axis.

An embodiment that is in the Figures 1 to 7 is shown, comprises a seating furniture 1 according to the invention, which is designed here in the form of a two-seater sofa. As such, the seating furniture 1 comprises a total of two seating elements 3, which are mounted together on a frame 2 . The latter includes a total of four feet, not shown in the figures, by means of which the seating furniture 1 stands on a surface.

The seat elements 3 each interact with a swivel seat fitting 4 , which is mounted on the frame 2 . Each rotary fitting 4 includes a guide device 6 formed by a guide plate 26 , which is L-shaped in the example shown. The guide device 6 therefore comprises, so to speak, two legs 36, 37, one of which extends parallel to a longitudinal axis 39 and along a back 25 of the seating furniture 1 and a second extends parallel to a transverse axis 28 of the seating furniture 1 . The second leg 37, which runs parallel to the transverse axis 28 , is assigned to the adjacent seat element 3 of the respective seat element 3 . The guide device 6 defines a total of two guide routes 7, each of which is designed here in the form of a guide slot 9 . This is particularly clear from the Figures 2 and 3 . The guide slots 9 are each assigned to one of the legs 36, 37 of the guide device 6 , with main axes of the guide slots 9, not shown in the figures, which each contain opposite end points of the guide slots 9 , being oriented at least essentially perpendicular to one another. The guide device 6 is flat in itself, so that it extends overall in a horizontal plane 24 of the seating furniture 1 . This horizontal plane 24 corresponds to the drawing plane Figure 3 .

The guide device 6 interacts with a total of two guide elements 8 , each of which is formed here by a sliding block 10 . Here, a sliding block 10 is assigned to one of the guide slots 9 of the guide device 6 . The sliding blocks 10 are each firmly connected to the respective seat element 3 , so that the seat element 3 can be guided by means of the sliding blocks 10 in the guide device 6 assigned to the seat element 3 . In this way, the seat element 3 can move about a vertical axis 5 between an in Figure 1 shown normal position and one In contrast, the rotation position can be transferred to a rotation position rotated by 90 ° about the vertical axis 5 , the latter not being shown in the figures. In the course of this rotation of the seat element 3, the sliding blocks 10 are each guided along the guide slots 9 , each following a central axis 27 of the respective guide slot 9 .

In the example shown, the guide slots 9 are each designed to be non-linear, with the central axes 27 each having radii of curvature that change over a length of the respective guide slot 9 . The result of this is that a front corner 38 of the respective rotating seat element 3, which faces the other seat element 3 , is at least essentially without frictional contact between seat cushions of the seat elements (not shown in the figures) during its transfer between its normal position and its rotational position 3 can be moved. This results in particular from the Figures 2 and 3 that - here using the example of the right seat element 3 - the sliding block 10, which is guided in the guide slot 9 assigned to the leg 37 , a movement in a direction directed towards a longitudinal axis 39 of the seating furniture 1 from the other (in the Figures 2 and 3 left) seat element 3 is removed. Accordingly, the front left corner 38 of the right seat element 3 also experiences a corresponding movement away from the left seat element 3 , so that the rubbing contact between the seat elements 3 or the associated seat cushions is avoided. The described movement of the sliding block 10 or the corner 38 is caused by the arcuate section of the guide slot 9 , which can be seen particularly well in the figures.

In order to lock the seat elements 3 relative to the frame 2 , the frame 2 interacts with bearing pins 30 , which in the example shown are assigned to the front, outer corners 40 of the frame 2 . The resulting mechanism will be described below using the right seat element 3 . The bearing pin 30, which represents a first locking partner of a locking mechanism 29 between the frame 2 and the seat element 3 , is suitable for interacting alternately with one of two recesses 31, 32 , each of which represents a second locking partner of the locking mechanism 29 , the recesses 31, 32 are assigned to the seat element 3 . In the example shown, the recesses 31, 32 are formed in a sliding plate 34 which is arranged on an underside 35 of the seat element 3 . As can be seen particularly well from the Figures 2 and 3 results, the sliding plate 34 is also rotated about the vertical axis 5 together with the seat element 3 in the course of the transfer between its normal position and its rotational position, whereby the two recesses 31, 32 can alternately lock with the bearing pin 30 arranged immovably on the frame 2 . In this way it is particularly easy to achieve a positive connection between the frame 2 and the seat element 3 are made, which avoids unintentional rotation of the seat element 3 about the vertical axis 5 . In addition, the sliding plate 34 offers particularly low-friction guidance of the seat element 3 on the bearing pin 30 while the seat element 3 is rotated. This guide is also supported by two plain bearings 42 , which are also arranged immovably on the frame 2 .

In order to transfer the seat element 3, the user of the seating furniture 1 only has to lift the seat element 3 slightly and rotate it minimally about the vertical axis 5 to release the locking, so that the positive connection between the bearing pin 30 and the respective recess 31, 32 is released and the seat element 3 is released with it the same plate 34 can be placed on the bearing pin 30 , with an upper end face of the bearing pin 30 coming into contact with an underside of the sliding plate 34 . As the seat element 3 moves, the bearing pin 30 now moves along with the sliding bearings 42 along the underside of the sliding plate 34 until the other recess 31, 32 reaches the bearing pin 30 .

As explained above, the guide device 6 is formed here by a guide plate 26 . The guide slots 9 each penetrate the guide plate 26, so that the respective associated sliding block 10 can extend from an upper side 15 to a lower side 16 of the guide plate 26 . The two sliding blocks 10 are designed in the same way in the example shown. The following description, which refers to one sliding block 10 , also applies analogously to the second sliding block 10.

The sliding stone 10, which is particularly good from the Figures 4 to 6 results, includes a sliding rod 11, which is formed here by a round rod. The sliding block 10 is designed to be rotationally symmetrical overall with respect to a longitudinal axis 41 of the sliding rod 11 , which consequently forms the axis of symmetry of the sliding block 10 . A diameter 12 of the sliding rod 11 is chosen such that it is significantly less than a slot width 13 of the associated guide slot 9 . A total of two sliding jaws 14 are arranged on the sliding rod 11 , with a first sliding jaw 14 being assigned to the top side 15 of the guide plate 26 and the second sliding jaw 14 to the underside 16 of the guide plate 26 . The sliding jaws 14 form a radial expansion or thickening relative to the sliding rod 11 , so that together they bring about axial mounting of the sliding rod 11 relative to the guide device 6 . In other words, the sliding block 10 cannot be moved out of the guide slot 9 either downwards or upwards by the action of the sliding jaws 14 .

The sliding block 10 is designed here in such a way that mutually facing stop surfaces 19 of the sliding jaws 14 are arranged at a distance 18 from one another, which slightly exceeds a slot height 20 of the guide slot 9 . In this way, the sliding block 10 has a certain axial play relative to the guide plate 26 . The distance 18 here is 110% of the slot height 20. Furthermore, the sliding jaws 14 are rounded at their respective ends facing the guide slot 9 . This helps to avoid tilting of the sliding block 10 on the guide plate 26 as soon as the sliding block 10 rotates relative to the guide plate 26 . Such a rotation can therefore take place in particular about axes of rotation that extend within a slot plane 17 . Due to the rotationally symmetrical design of the sliding block 10 , a rotation of the sliding block 10 about the longitudinal axis 41 of the sliding rod 11 is also possible.

The described embodiment offers the particular advantage that the respective seat element 3 interacting with the sliding blocks 10 also has a certain amount of play in relation to the rotating seat fitting 4 , so that the seat element 3 is transferred smoothly between its normal position and its rotational position as well as (and in particular) relative to it the frame 2 can be tilted. This helps ensure that the seat element 3 can have a seat slope, at least when it is in its normal position. Here, a seating plane 23 of the seating element 3 is inclined towards the back 25 of the seating furniture 1 relative to the horizontal plane 24 . This is particularly good using Figure 7 recognizable. The seat gradient of the seat element 3 manifests itself in an angle 33 between the seat plane 23 and the horizontal plane 24, which here is approximately 3°.

In the example shown, the sliding block 10 also interacts with a sliding element 21 , which radially surrounds the sliding rod 11 in the area of the guide slot 9 . The sliding element 21 here has a plano-convex ring shape, which can be seen particularly well based on the Figures 4 to 6 results. This shape is expressed in that the sliding element 21 bulges between the mutually facing stop surfaces 19 of the sliding jaws 14 in the direction of a slot edge 22 of the guide slot 9 , so that a diameter of the sliding element 21 in the area of the central slot plane 17 of the guide slot 9 is maximum. The sliding block 21 is dimensioned with a certain undersize in relation to the slot width 13 measured parallel to the slot plane 17 and between the slot edges 22 , so that the sliding block 10 can be freely guided overall along the guide slot 9 , but without too much play parallel to the slot plane 17 to allow the sliding block 10 to unintentionally hit back and forth in the guide slot 9 . The curved design of the sliding block 21 also reduces the Danger of the sliding block 10 tilting in the guide slot 9, so that the above-described play of the sliding block 10 in relation to the guide plate 26 and the associated freedom of a certain seat inclination of the seat element 3 in relation to the frame 2 is maintained.
