An article of furniture (20) comprising at least one sliding door (2) and at least one arrangement (1) as set forth in one of claims 1 to 10, preferably wherein the article of furniture (20) has a, particularly preferably shaft-shaped, hollow space (21) for receiving the at least one sliding door (2), wherein the hollow space (21) extends substantially transversely relative to the at least one rail profile (3) into the interior of the article of furniture (20).
  12. The article of furniture (20) as set forth in claim 11, wherein the at least one sliding door (2) has at least two hingedly interconnected door leaves (22), wherein the at least two door leaves (22) are moveable between a parallel position in which the at least two door leaves (22) are oriented in substantially mutually parallel relationship and a coplanar position in which the at least two door leaves (22) are oriented in substantially coplanar relationship, wherein the angle position of the at least one carriage (5) in relation to the pivot axis (8) changes upon a movement of the at least two door leaves (22) between the parallel position and the coplanar position.
