Abstract

PURPOSE:To strengthen the flexual rigidity of a master cylinder mounting unit, by coupling a cylinder body to a vehicle chassis through brackets which are arranged to perpendicularly cross the plane including the axes of a pair of tie- rods for transferring reaction force from the master cylinder to the vehicle chassis. CONSTITUTION:A pair of tie-rods 30 for transferring reaction force from a master cylinder M to a vehicle chassis are arranged so that they are spaced at predetermined distants up and down, and as well left and right, with the center line of a booster shell 1 being therebetween. The front end part of each tie-rod 30 is fixed to a mounting flange 36 of a cylinder body 55 of the master cylinder M with nuts 35. The front end parts of brackets 32 which are projected from a vehicle chassis CB, making a right angle to the plane X-X which includes the axes of both tie-rods 30, are fitted onto the front end parts of the tie-rods, and fixed with the nuts 35. The cylinder body 55 is supported to the vehicle chassis CB through the brackets 32.
