Definitions
- the invention relates to a fastening device for a free-standing sanitary fitting with a base body designed for flush-mounting, which has inlet connections for a cold and a hot water inlet line and a base area for fastening the sanitary fitting.
- Free-standing sanitary fittings are mounted free-standing on the floor in the bathroom area and are primarily used as bathtub spouts.
- the water supply pipes of a free-standing sanitary fitting run in the floor and are connected to a fastening device when laid in the shell state, which serves as a base for the sanitary fitting to be installed later.
- the inlet pipes and the fastening device are then usually cast in the floor covering (e.g. screed) and then tiled over so that only a base area of the fastening device protrudes above the tile level.
- a fastening device for flush-mounting is, for example, from DE 10 2009 040 191 A1 known and comprises a base body which has a first inlet connection for a hot water pipe and a second inlet connection for a cold water pipe.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of simplifying the fastening of free-standing sanitary fittings and, in particular, of enabling simple correction when inlet pipes are connected to a fastening device in reverse.
- the fastening device of the type mentioned at the outset is provided with a connection part which is sealingly accommodated in the base body within the base area and which has connections for cold and hot water pipes of the sanitary fitting, which communicate with the inlet connections on the base body independently of the rotational position via water paths formed in the connection part.
- the connecting part can be accommodated in the base body in at least two installation positions with a rotational position rotated by 180°, in which the connections are swapped sides to correct the connection positions when the supply lines are connected to the fastening device in reverse. This means that by changing the installation position of the connecting part, the cold and hot water connections can be swapped on the side without having to change the inlet pipes on the building side.
- the connection part can be converted using standard assembly tools.
- the base body of the fastening device according to the invention is a water-carrying component which, as is known from the prior art, can be connected via its inlet connections to the cold and hot water inlet pipes on the building side during the interior construction of a sanitary facility, such as a bathroom.
- the inlet connections can have threads, sealing plug-in connections or other connection elements by means of which the inlet lines can be connected with little effort.
- the base area of the base body is used to mechanically fasten the sanitary fitting.
- the connection part is sealed within the base area, via which the inlet lines connected to the base body be connected to the hot and cold water pipes of the sanitary fitting.
- water paths are formed in the connecting part, which open into corresponding connection points of the base body leading to the inlet connections.
- the received connection part is designed to be rotatable about a central axis in order to align the sanitary fitting at any angle about the central axis.
- the connecting part Due to the rotatability of the connecting part within the base body about a central axis, it is possible to mount the connecting part not only in the two installation positions mentioned in the base area, but even in any rotational position. As a result, not only can the position of the connections of the connection part be swapped, but the connections can be aligned in any orientation relative to the base body and/or relative to the lines of the sanitary fitting. Accordingly, the orientation of the sanitary fitting can be rotated in any angular range in space around the central axis of the connecting part and thus adjusted as required.
- the advantage here is that the orientation of the base body during its installation in flush-mounted installation can be carried out largely without taking into account a planned orientation of the sanitary fitting in the assembled state. This makes planning and implementing the interior design easier, as the sanitary fitting only needs to be positioned at a defined position in the room, but not in a specific orientation.
- a first connection point is formed between the base body and a first of the waterways of the connection part in the region of the central axis.
- the connecting part When the connecting part is rotated, the waterways running in the connecting part are also rotated.
- the first connection point of the base body in the area of the central axis, a water-conducting connection between the base body and at least the first water path of the connection part is achieved, regardless of the rotational position of the connection part.
- the first connection point In the base area of the base body, the first connection point can be used as one
- a simple axially opening bore can be formed, which communicates with the first water path of the connecting part in every rotational position
- the device has a second connection point between the base body and a second of the waterways of the connection part, which opens into an annular channel formed in the connection part and/or the base body.
- the connecting part can have an annular channel running around its central axis in the form of a milled or turned groove.
- a simple bore can be formed, which communicates with the annular channel of the connecting part in every rotational position.
- the base body can have an annular channel and the connecting part can have a single hole positioned eccentrically to its central axis, which opens into the second water path. If the connecting part with the second water path is rotated relative to the ring channel, the bore is located in the area of the ring channel in every rotational position of the connecting part.
- the annular channel is formed by both the connecting part and the base body.
- a (partial) ring channel can be formed on the connecting part and on the base body, which communicate with one another in every installation position of the connecting part on the base body. This makes it possible to achieve a larger overall cross section of the annular channel and thus larger volume flows, especially in the second water path.
- the annular channel does not extend over the entire circumference of the connecting part, but only over a defined circumferential section. This allows installation positions of the connecting part to be implemented in which the second water path can optionally be blocked.
- the two connection points are sealed against each other and against the outside atmosphere by means of concentric ring seals.
- circumferential grooves can be formed on both the connecting part and the base body.
- Simple O-rings can be used as ring seals, or seals with a more complex profile that are adapted, for example, to higher water pressures or more contaminated water.
- additional clamping elements can be provided on the ring seals in order to fix their position within the groove and/or to increase the sealing effect.
- the connecting part is designed to be pivotable relative to the base body, preferably within an angular range of up to 5°, in order to compensate for an angular error when installing the base body.
- An undesirable inclination of the sanitary fitting in the room can be compensated for or the standpipe of the sanitary fitting can be aligned vertically by means of a pivotable connecting part.
- the mentioned inclination can occur due to an unevenly mounted base body.
- the water paths of the connecting part can have enlarged cross-sections in some areas, especially in the area of the connection points. If the connecting part with its water paths is pivoted to compensate for the angular error, the enlarged cross sections ensure a sufficient overlap area of the water paths to their connection points on the base body. This prevents the water output from being throttled at the sanitary fitting as a result of compensating for the angular error.
- the base body has a receptacle for the connecting part, the receptacle and connecting part having a spherical cap shape that is complementary to one another.
- the spherical cap shape allows a swivel angle to be adjusted independently of the Rotation of the connecting part around its central axis.
- a reliable seal can be achieved between the spherical cap-shaped contact surfaces of the receptacle and connecting part using concentric ring seals.
- the receptacle of the base body has a concave spherical cap shape and the connecting part has a convex spherical cap shape that is complementary to the receptacle of the base part.
- the height of the base body is significantly flatter compared to known base bodies. This allows the base body to be attached to the floor in the early phases of bathroom interior design. Because of the flat design, the connecting part is completely recessed in the base body and this does not protrude or only protrudes slightly above the floor level and therefore does not represent a significant disruptive contour during the interior work. This simplifies the overall interior work. In addition, a compact design also results in the assembled state of the fastening device.
- the connecting part can be clamped against the base body via a pressure washer.
- the pressure disk can be arranged above the connecting part and have an opening through which the lines of the sanitary fitting can be passed and connected to the connections of the connecting part.
- the connecting part is designed to be pivotable relative to the base body via one or more fastening screws arranged on the pressure disk.
- a pivoting movement may be necessary to compensate for an angular error in the form of an unwanted tilt of the plumbing fitting.
- a defined pivot angle can be achieved by screwing a screw into the base body at a different depth than another screw. The resulting height difference can be transferred to the position of the pressure washer via screw heads, via which the swivel angle can in turn be transferred to the connecting part.
- the connecting part can expediently be connected to a standpipe of the sanitary fitting by means of a detachable connection. This makes it possible to structurally separate the connecting part from the standpipe of the sanitary fitting. If it is discovered during assembly of the sanitary fitting that the cold and hot water connections have been accidentally swapped, the standpipe can first be detached from the connecting part before the connecting part is in turn separated from the base body and then reassembled with the cold and hot water connections oriented as desired.
- the detachable connection can be designed in a simple manner using positive and/or non-positive connecting elements. Plug-in, locking and/or clamping elements are conceivable here.
- a union nut is arranged in the base area on a side of the connection part facing away from the base body, which is designed to connect the connection part to the standpipe of the sanitary fitting.
- the union nut can have an internal thread over at least part of its height, which engages with an external thread of the standpipe.
- the union nut can have one or more through holes, into each of which a set screw can be screwed in order to fix the union nut relative to the standpipe.
- Figure 1 shows a fastening device 1, by means of which a free-standing sanitary fitting 2 is fastened to a base body 3.
- the base body has an inlet connection 4 for cold water and an (in Figure 1 concealed) inlet connection 5 for hot water.
- the inlet connections 4 and 5 have threads (typically G1/2"), through which they are each connected to a cold water inlet line 6 or a hot water inlet line 7 are sealingly connected.
- the inlet connections 4 and 5 are located on opposite sides of the base body 3.
- the inlet connections 4 and 5 can be arranged anywhere on the base body, provided that they do not intersect with their waterways.
- the base body 3 has a base area 8 which is provided with threaded holes. Screws 30 are screwed into the threaded holes, with which a connecting part 9 received within the base area 8 is pressed sealingly against the base body 3 via a pressure washer 29.
- a union nut 31 is arranged, which serves to fasten a standpipe 32.
- the standpipe has an external thread and the union nut has a corresponding internal thread.
- the cold water pipe 12 and the hot water pipe 13 of the sanitary fitting 2 run within the cylindrical standpipe 32.
- the cold water C enters the base body 3 via the cold water inlet pipe 6 and the corresponding inlet connection 4 and from there via a first (not here). visible) water path 14 into the cold water pipe 12.
- hot water H flows via the hot water inlet pipe 7 through the inlet connection 5 into the base body 3 and from there via a second water path 15 into the hot water pipe 13.
- the fastening device can be dismantled by loosening the screws 30 and the union nut 31 in order to swap the water paths within the fastening device .
- Such a dismantled state is shown in an exploded view Figure 2 shown.
- the connecting part 9 can be seen, which is arranged between the base body 3 and the standpipe 32 and fluidly connects the cold and hot water supply lines 6, 7 with the cold and hot water lines 12, 13 of the sanitary fitting.
- the connecting part 9 has a connection 10 for the cold water pipe and a connection 11 for the hot water pipe.
- the connecting part 9 can be rotated by 180° about its central axis 18 in order to swap the positions of the connections 10 and 11.
- the installation positions rotated by 180° can be recognized and distinguished via a marking in the form of a notch M on the outer circumference of the connecting part 9.
- a suitable label can be printed with which the connections 10, 11 of the connection part can be distinguished.
- Waterways 14, 15 are formed within the connection part 9, which lead from the connections 10 and 11 to connection points on the underside of the connection part 9. A rotation of the connecting part 9 does not lead to a water-carrying connection of the waterways 14, 15 being interrupted relative to the base body. When twisted, the water is redirected within the fastening device 1.
- the connecting part 9 has a convex spherical cap-shaped segment 27 on the underside, which extends upwards towards a cylindrical extension in which the connections 10, 11 are formed.
- the base body of the connecting part 9 is constructed rotationally symmetrically about the central axis 18.
- the first waterway 14 runs in the lower area from the central axis 18 to the connection 10.
- the second waterway leading to the connection 11 opens into an annular channel 22 arranged concentrically around the central axis 18. Hot water H enters in the area of the central axis 18 the first water path 14, and cold water C at any point on the ring channel 22 into the second water path 15, it reaches the connections 10 and 11 regardless of the rotational position of the connecting part 9 with respect to its central axis 18.
- the connecting part can therefore be connected without interruption Waterways can be turned freely.
- Figure 3b shows a top view of the connecting part 9 and its externally visible connections 10 and 11 as well as the marking M.
- the position of the connections 10 and 11 is as in Figure 3b shown, symmetrical about the central axis 18 arranged.
- the marking M indicates the rotational position of the connecting part 9.
- Figure 4 shows a top view of the base body 3. This is designed as a hot-pressed part, but can also be made as a cast or turned part.
- the base body 3 has four fastening holes 3a, via which it can be screwed to the unfinished floor in a bathroom.
- the inlet connections 4, 5 on the base body 3 are marked “C” (for cold) and “H” (for hot) and should be connected accordingly to the building's hot and cold water inlet pipes.
- the base area 8, which receives the connecting part 9, is formed in the middle of the base body 3.
- the corresponding recording in the base area 8 is several times orthogonal to the representation plane of Figure 4 stepped, and has support and sealing surfaces for the connecting part 9.
- first connection point 20 which is arranged centrally in the base area and is fluidly connected to the inlet connection 4, and a second connection point 21, which, in contrast to the first connection point, is arranged eccentrically in the base area 8 and leads to the inlet connection 5.
- the connecting part 9 is held in the base body 3 via a pressure disk 29.
- the base body has screw holes 30a, via which the pressure washer 29 can be screwed to the base body in order to hold the connecting part 9 accommodated in the receptacle of the base body 3.
- the base body 3 within the base area 8 has a receptacle 28 in a concave spherical cap shape, in which the connecting part 9 can be accommodated with a complementary convex spherical cap shape.
- Water enters the base body via the inlet connection 5 and from there to the first via a fluid-conducting connection Connection point 20, the water can flow into the first water path 14 of the connection part 9.
- the base body 3 has an annular channel groove 22a, which corresponds to the annular channel 22 of the connection part 9.
- connection part 9 Since the waterways 14, 15 are connected to the inlet connections 4, 5 of the base body via the central connection point 20 or the connection point 21 opening into the annular channel 22, 22a, regardless of the rotational position, the connections 10 and 11 of the connection part 9 can be adjusted in their relative position to the Rotate the base body in all spatial directions and thereby adapt it to the position of the cold and hot water pipes 12 and 13 of the sanitary fitting.
- FIGS. 7a and 7b show a correction in which the connecting part is rotated by 180° about its central axis 18 in order to swap the positions of the connections 10 and 11.
- Figure 7a shows the fastening device 1 in a first installation position 16. It is assumed that the inlet lines (not shown) were connected incorrectly, i.e. hot water H via the inlet connection 5 to the first connection point 20 and from there to the first waterway 14 and thus into the cold water line 12 . The result of this is that hot water H is dispensed at the water outlet fitting (not shown), when cold water is to be dispensed. Correspondingly, cold water C enters the base body 3 via the (hidden here) inlet connection 4, and into the hot water pipe 13 via the second water path 15.
- Two concentric ring seals 23 and 24 seal the first and second connection points 20 and 21 against each other and against the outside atmosphere above the base body 3.
- an incorrect pivoting position of the base body 3 relative to the sanitary fitting 2 can also be corrected by pivoting the connecting part 9 through a pivot angle relative to the base body 3.
- Such a correction is in the Figures 8a and 8b shown.
- Figure 8a shows the fastening device 1, in which there are correctly connected inlet pipes, but there is an angular difference 26 between the central axis 18 of the connecting part 9 for aligning the cold and hot water pipes 12 and 13.
- the connecting part 9 can be adjusted in an angular range 25 by up to +/-2.5° via the complementary spherical cap shapes 27 and 28 of the connecting part 9 (convex) and the receptacle in the base area 8 (concax).
- the adjustment takes place independently of the rotational position of the connecting part 9 with respect to its central axis 18.
- the design of the first connection point 20 and the second connection point 21 ensures that there is a sufficient overlap area between the respective connection points and the waterways 14 and 15.
- the corrected pivot position is in Figure 8b shown.
- Figures 9a-g show a work sequence with the free-standing sanitary fitting 2 already installed, in which the connecting part 9 is moved from a first installation position 16 according to Figure 9a into a second installation position 17 according to Figure 9g is brought.
- the sanitary fitting 2 is mounted in such a way that the cold water pipe 12 and the hot water pipe 13 are arranged on the connecting part 9 with the sides swapped.
- the connecting part 9 is attached to the base body 3 via the pressure washer 29 and the adjusting screws 30.
- the plumbing fitting is adjusted according to Figure 9b removed from the base body 3 by loosening the screws 30.
- the standpipe 32 is as in figure 9c shown removed from the connecting part 9 by loosening the union nut 31 from the standpipe 32.
- the cold water pipe 12 and the hot water pipe 13 are detached from the connections 10 and 11 of the connecting part 9 and the connecting part 9 according to Figure 9d rotated by 180° to a correction angle 19.
- the connecting part 9 is then connected to the cold and hot water pipes of the sanitary fitting with the positions of the connections 10 and 11 swapped.
- the standpipe 32 is connected to the connecting part 9 with the union nut 31 and can be mounted again on the base body 3. After successful installation, the sanitary fitting 2 is in a second, corrected installation position 17 on the base body 3.

Description
The invention relates to a fastening device for a free-standing sanitary fitting with a base body designed for flush-mounting, which has inlet connections for a cold and a hot water inlet line and a base area for fastening the sanitary fitting.
When installing such a fastening device, it can happen that the inlet pipes for cold and hot water are swapped and are therefore connected to the base body upside down. To correct such an installation error, the floor must be broken up again in order to re-lay the inlet pipes and connect them to the fastening device in the correct way. It is also known from practice that the cold and hot water pipes running in the standpipe of the sanitary fitting are forcibly twisted or bent by 180 ° in order to ensure that they are in the correct alignment with those connected upside down to the base body To be able to connect supply lines. However, both solutions are not very satisfactory and require a lot of assembly effort.
The invention is therefore based on the object of simplifying the fastening of free-standing sanitary fittings and, in particular, of enabling simple correction when inlet pipes are connected to a fastening device in reverse.
The task is solved by the features of
According to the invention, the fastening device of the type mentioned at the outset is provided with a connection part which is sealingly accommodated in the base body within the base area and which has connections for cold and hot water pipes of the sanitary fitting, which communicate with the inlet connections on the base body independently of the rotational position via water paths formed in the connection part. What is important here is that the connecting part can be accommodated in the base body in at least two installation positions with a rotational position rotated by 180°, in which the connections are swapped sides to correct the connection positions when the supply lines are connected to the fastening device in reverse. This means that by changing the installation position of the connecting part, the cold and hot water connections can be swapped on the side without having to change the inlet pipes on the building side. The connection part can be converted using standard assembly tools.
The base body of the fastening device according to the invention is a water-carrying component which, as is known from the prior art, can be connected via its inlet connections to the cold and hot water inlet pipes on the building side during the interior construction of a sanitary facility, such as a bathroom. For this purpose, the inlet connections can have threads, sealing plug-in connections or other connection elements by means of which the inlet lines can be connected with little effort.
The base area of the base body is used to mechanically fasten the sanitary fitting. The connection part is sealed within the base area, via which the inlet lines connected to the base body be connected to the hot and cold water pipes of the sanitary fitting. For this purpose, water paths are formed in the connecting part, which open into corresponding connection points of the base body leading to the inlet connections.
In a preferred embodiment of the device, the received connection part is designed to be rotatable about a central axis in order to align the sanitary fitting at any angle about the central axis.
Due to the rotatability of the connecting part within the base body about a central axis, it is possible to mount the connecting part not only in the two installation positions mentioned in the base area, but even in any rotational position. The advantage here is that the orientation of the base body during its installation in flush-mounted installation can be carried out largely without taking into account a planned orientation of the sanitary fitting in the assembled state. This makes planning and implementing the interior design easier, as the sanitary fitting only needs to be positioned at a defined position in the room, but not in a specific orientation.
In a further preferred embodiment of the device, a first connection point is formed between the base body and a first of the waterways of the connection part in the region of the central axis.
By arranging the first connection point of the base body in the area of the central axis, a water-conducting connection between the base body and at least the first water path of the connection part is achieved, regardless of the rotational position of the connection part. In the base area of the base body, the first connection point can be used as one A simple axially opening bore can be formed, which communicates with the first water path of the connecting part in every rotational position
In a further preferred embodiment, the device has a second connection point between the base body and a second of the waterways of the connection part, which opens into an annular channel formed in the connection part and/or the base body.
In addition to the water-conducting connection between the base body and the first waterway, it can be advantageous that a water-conducting connection is also formed between the base body and the second waterway regardless of the rotational position of the connecting part. For this purpose, the connecting part can have an annular channel running around its central axis in the form of a milled or turned groove. In the base area of the base body, in which the connecting part is arranged, a simple bore can be formed, which communicates with the annular channel of the connecting part in every rotational position.
Alternatively, the base body can have an annular channel and the connecting part can have a single hole positioned eccentrically to its central axis, which opens into the second water path. If the connecting part with the second water path is rotated relative to the ring channel, the bore is located in the area of the ring channel in every rotational position of the connecting part.
It is also within the scope of the invention that the annular channel is formed by both the connecting part and the base body. For this purpose, a (partial) ring channel can be formed on the connecting part and on the base body, which communicate with one another in every installation position of the connecting part on the base body. This makes it possible to achieve a larger overall cross section of the annular channel and thus larger volume flows, especially in the second water path.
Furthermore, it is within the scope of the invention that the annular channel does not extend over the entire circumference of the connecting part, but only over a defined circumferential section. This allows installation positions of the connecting part to be implemented in which the second water path can optionally be blocked. In a further preferred embodiment of the device, the two connection points are sealed against each other and against the outside atmosphere by means of concentric ring seals.
To position the ring seals, circumferential grooves can be formed on both the connecting part and the base body. Simple O-rings can be used as ring seals, or seals with a more complex profile that are adapted, for example, to higher water pressures or more contaminated water. Likewise, additional clamping elements can be provided on the ring seals in order to fix their position within the groove and/or to increase the sealing effect.
In a further preferred embodiment of the device, the connecting part is designed to be pivotable relative to the base body, preferably within an angular range of up to 5°, in order to compensate for an angular error when installing the base body.
An undesirable inclination of the sanitary fitting in the room can be compensated for or the standpipe of the sanitary fitting can be aligned vertically by means of a pivotable connecting part. The mentioned inclination can occur due to an unevenly mounted base body.
In order not to narrow the water-carrying connections by pivoting the connecting part, the water paths of the connecting part can have enlarged cross-sections in some areas, especially in the area of the connection points. If the connecting part with its water paths is pivoted to compensate for the angular error, the enlarged cross sections ensure a sufficient overlap area of the water paths to their connection points on the base body. This prevents the water output from being throttled at the sanitary fitting as a result of compensating for the angular error.
In a further preferred embodiment, the base body has a receptacle for the connecting part, the receptacle and connecting part having a spherical cap shape that is complementary to one another. The spherical cap shape allows a swivel angle to be adjusted independently of the Rotation of the connecting part around its central axis. In addition, a reliable seal can be achieved between the spherical cap-shaped contact surfaces of the receptacle and connecting part using concentric ring seals.
In a further preferred embodiment, the receptacle of the base body has a concave spherical cap shape and the connecting part has a convex spherical cap shape that is complementary to the receptacle of the base part. With such a design, the height of the base body is significantly flatter compared to known base bodies.
In a further preferred embodiment, the connecting part can be clamped against the base body via a pressure washer. The pressure disk can be arranged above the connecting part and have an opening through which the lines of the sanitary fitting can be passed and connected to the connections of the connecting part.
Forces from one or more clamping elements can be transmitted evenly to the connecting part via the top of the pressure washer. The even distribution of force ensures a reliable seal between the connecting part and the base body. Selective loads and deformations of the seals are avoided.
In a further preferred embodiment, the connecting part is designed to be pivotable relative to the base body via one or more fastening screws arranged on the pressure disk. As described above, a pivoting movement may be necessary to compensate for an angular error in the form of an unwanted tilt of the plumbing fitting. By designing at least one or more fastening screws which go over the Circumference of the pressing part can be distributed, it is possible to use this both as a clamping device and as an adjusting device to reduce an angular error between the connecting part and the base body.
A defined pivot angle can be achieved by screwing a screw into the base body at a different depth than another screw. The resulting height difference can be transferred to the position of the pressure washer via screw heads, via which the swivel angle can in turn be transferred to the connecting part.
The connecting part can expediently be connected to a standpipe of the sanitary fitting by means of a detachable connection.
The detachable connection can be designed in a simple manner using positive and/or non-positive connecting elements. Plug-in, locking and/or clamping elements are conceivable here.
In a further preferred embodiment, a union nut is arranged in the base area on a side of the connection part facing away from the base body, which is designed to connect the connection part to the standpipe of the sanitary fitting. To fasten the standpipe of the sanitary fittings, the union nut can have an internal thread over at least part of its height, which engages with an external thread of the standpipe.
Furthermore, the union nut can have one or more through holes, into each of which a set screw can be screwed in order to fix the union nut relative to the standpipe.
