Description
The present invention relates to an apparatus for luggage, in particular an apparatus for carrying objects inside and outside a suitcase.
In our societies, the number of people who enjoy traveling is constantly increasing. In particular, air travel is very popular with these many people.
However, when traveling it can be problematic to transport luggage, such as in airports or train stations for example and more generally, in all places where the traveler must transport large quantities of objects.
Typically, travelers use suitcases on wheels to facilitate the transport of objects which can then be stored inside the suitcase. However, when the traveler is in possession of one or more suitcases or is transporting several independent objects, he or she may very quickly be faced with problems moving all of these objects or suitcases in an organized and secure manner.

The need to overcome problems encountered on existing devices led to the present invention.
According to the present invention, there is provided a luggage apparatus according to claim 1, comprising: a suitcase with substantially rigid sides, and at least one substantially rigid face, wherein the sides include an extendable flexible securing portion for securing luggage. objects on the face; and in which the suitcase comprises one or more wheels which project with reference to a face and one or more wheels which project with reference to a side, and a handle with an articulated connection to the suitcase; such that the suitcase is configured to allow a user to pull the suitcase on wheels when the suitcase is in two orientations, vertical and orthogonal.
For example, the wheels may be provided on one end side and one face, wherein the suitcase includes two end sides, and two long sides, as well as two opposing faces.
This way the suitcase can be rolled face down and rolled upright or tilted on one end. In the face down position, it can be envisaged that the suitcases can be stacked.
In some embodiments, the wheels on the end side may include standard wheels or suitcase wheels known in the art, such as caster wheels. These wheels can protrude from the side in order to maximize the internal space in the suitcase.
The wheels on the face are envisaged to be significantly smaller, and recessed into the face so as to avoid creating too large a protrusion or protruding too much upwards, and to limit the loss of internal space.
In some embodiments of the apparatus, for example, the cases may be contemplated for use as part of a stacking apparatus, wherein the apparatus includes more than one device including the case, such as sale. The faces of the devices are configured to fit together, and the side attachment portion may be configured to secure the sides of different devices together.
According to the invention, in order to provide a substantially flat surface or in order to provide a face better configured to fit with other devices, and/or in order to provide a surface to the face better adapted to limit the movement of objects carried on the face, the front and rear faces have raised and hollow parts.
In some embodiments, the wheels may include caster wheels, for example on the end side, so as to advantageously allow greater degrees of movement.
The articulated connection between the suitcase and the handle includes an articulated base. In some embodiments, the handle is configured to allow for minimization, for example configured to be foldable or telescopic. Conversely, this minimization can allow the handle to be extendable to significant lengths, so as to provide maximum comfort when the suitcase is flat on one side.
It can be envisaged that, to facilitate storage when the device is not in use, the handle can be reduced in size by coaxial telescoping and be articulated on one side or one face of the suitcase.
According to one embodiment according to the invention, a suitcase serving as a base for the assembly, called a "trolley", can be assembled vertically with at least one additional suitcase of smaller size placed on said trolley case while guaranteeing the stability of assembly.
For example, the additional suitcase is of chosen size, and thus suitable for being stored in the trolley case so that the spatial bulk of the assembly thus stored only represents the volume of the trolley suitcase.
The hinged connection of the handle may allow the handle to be angled relative to the suitcase or directed straight upward from one end of the case. suitcase ; to allow comfortable transportation in either orientation.
In some embodiments, articulation is provided by a pivot. In others, the hinged connection may allow rotation as well as articulation.
In some embodiments, the hinged link can be locked, for example in two positions, so that the case can be configured for easy use in a first or second orientation. Additionally or alternatively, the articulated connection may comprise a notch or ratchet joint, so as to allow a plurality of locked positions.
The flexible attachment portion may extend from one or more sides of the suitcase. For example, in some embodiments, the portion may extend from both long sides so as to meet above the center of the rear face. In some embodiments, the portion may include four separate portions meeting above the rear face, so as to provide a more efficient means of holding objects on the rear face without loss.
The flexible attachment portion may include a single portion, which is configured to extend from one side of the case, pass over an object, and clip into a clip on the opposite side. The sides of the suitcase may thus differ, or in some embodiments, the part may comprise two portions which may be spaced apart and/or inverted in formation, passing over the rear face when in use to clip together.
In some embodiments, the clips or other portions may be latched or lockable so as to lock the portion when the portion is extended on the rear face.
In some embodiments, the portion may be configured to extend over a spool mechanism. In some embodiments, the part may comprise an elastomeric material.
In some systems, embodiments of the cases of the present invention may differ from each other in configuration and/or dimension so as to form a modular system of multiple cases and complementary devices sharing some or all of their characteristics, as long as they meet the characteristics of claim 1.

The sides are continuous around the rounded corners, and act to separate the two
Both sides are wavy, with raised and hollow parts.
The faces are corrugated correspondingly and equally with respective portions of hollow tracks and raised
According to a first embodiment in accordance with the invention, the so-called “additional”
According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the so-called “trolley”
By way of non-limiting example, said
Advantageously, the assembly formed by the suitcases thus described allows optimized storage, the suitcases being able to be stored one inside the other so that the spatial bulk only represents the volume of the trolley case.
However, the rear face also includes the articulated connection of the
The rear face 1 further comprises raised and
Advantageously, the
The handle extends from a proximal or upper side, at an angle allowing the user to pull the suitcase in their preferred orientation, namely with the
The
The
The user can turn handle 2 then press a button located inside the handle to extend it.
The fixing of objects on the rear face of the suitcase 1 is carried out by a
More particularly, the fixing means 6 thus comprises a nylon canvas strap (RTM) 61 with a
Connu de la technique, les côtés longs de la valise 8, 77 comprennent des poignées articulées centrales 9.Known from the art, the long sides of the
