Description

Domaine techniqueTechnical area

The present invention relates to a device and a method for adjusting the height positioning of a vehicle equipped with wheels or comprising cylindrical rolling elements on a loading platform.

The invention relates more particularly to a device and a method for adjusting the height positioning of a semi-trailer by its wheels on a platform or a loading pocket of a railway wagon.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

By the patent EN 2960843 there is known a device for adjusting the height of the lowest part of a pocket-type wagon mainly as a function of the weight of the load to be transported and the state of wear of the bogies of the wagon so as to obtain for each load an almost constant low level of the lower part of the pocket. This height adjustment device is based on the placement of vertical wedges between the pocket and the sets of ends on which said pocket rests, in particular with the aim of positioning the lower part of the pocket at the lowest admissible level taking into account of the railway gauge.

However, this adjustment method is not suitable for all types of railway wagon and does not make it possible to adjust the height positioning of a vehicle relative to the loading platform on which it rests. It also requires suitable handling means to lift the ladle relative to the end assemblies.

It is also known to use removable chocks on a car carrier vehicle, said chocks being immobilized according to selected positions on the loading platform of the car carrier vehicle so that the wheels of the road vehicles transported on the car carrier vehicle are at least partially immobilized by their support on these wedges.

This device for immobilizing the wheels of a road vehicle by wedges, is often used on one side of the wheels only and combined with other immobilizing devices, for example of the strap type, to completely immobilize the wheels of the vehicle. road in order to secure it on the car transport vehicle. Thus, these wedges are generally not used in pairs. In addition, these wedges are in no way intended to adjust the height of the vehicles transported on the car transport vehicle and they are never used. for this function in the context of the transport of a road vehicle on a railway wagon.

By the patent FR 1472098 We know a lowered railway wagon with a movable central lifting floor for loading vehicles by the ends of the rolling frame. The mobile lifting central floor makes it possible to circulate said vehicles temporarily at the same height as the ends of the rolling frame before lowering, but is not concerned with the immobilization or the individual adjustment in height of the wheels of said vehicles.

By the patent DE 1207949 We know a railway car whose central floor comprises two parts tilting downwards, but that is not interested either in the immobilization or in the individual height adjustment of the wheels of the vehicles loaded on the central floor.

Description de l'inventionDescription of the invention

The object of the present invention therefore aims to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art by proposing a new device and a new method for adjusting the height positioning of a vehicle equipped with wheels on a loading platform which can be adapted to any type of railway wagon, and which is capable of being operated solely by the sole use of human power.

Advantageously, the present invention must make it possible to ensure an optimal and almost constant distance between the ground and the lowest lower part of the transported road vehicle or of the rail wagon loading platform/pocket supporting said road vehicle, mainly as a function of the weight of the load to be transported and the state of wear of the bogies of the wagon. This distance is as small as possible given the limitations resulting from the shapes of the previous lower part and those related to the railway gauge.

Another object of the present invention is to make it possible to adjust the height of the highest part of the load of a railway wagon to an almost constant high level. In the case of the transport of road vehicles, the present invention must also make it possible to place the upper part of the road vehicles at an almost constant height, whatever the state of wear of the bogies of the wagon and the weight of the load to be transported. .

Advantageously, the present invention must adapt to any type of railway wagon, in particular to conventional wagon structures without requiring a separable pocket.

Finally, the present invention should advantageously allow the adjustment of the height positioning of a vehicle equipped with wheels on a loading platform using only human power, and without requiring lifting means.

  • un évidement aménagé dans le plateau de chargement au niveau de l'emplacement prévu pour une roue du véhicule routier, l'évidement étant dimensionné pour permettre l'engagement au moins partiel de la roue à travers l'évidement ;
  • le dispositif de soutien est monté soit directement sur le plateau de chargement, soit par l'intermédiaire d'une plaque mobile montée réglable en position longitudinale sur le plateau de chargement ;
The objects assigned to the invention are achieved with the aid of a railway wagon comprising a loading platform intended to transport a road vehicle fitted with wheels, characterized in that it comprises a system for adjusting the height of the wheels of a road vehicle designed to adjust the height of the wheels of the road vehicle to a predetermined height relative to the loading platform before each transport and throughout the duration thereof so that the transported road vehicle is at a low level which is greater than or equal to the lower limit of the railway gauge while respecting the upper limit of the railway gauge, an adjustment system being provided for each wheel of the road vehicle, each adjustment system comprising:
  • a recess provided in the loading platform at the location provided for a wheel of the road vehicle, the recess being sized to allow at least partial engagement of the wheel through the recess;
  • a wheel support device mounted on the loading platform at the location provided for the wheel,
and in which:
  • the support device is mounted either directly on the loading platform, or via a movable plate mounted adjustable in longitudinal position on the loading platform;
  • the support device comprising at least one mobile and/or deformable support part intended to support the wheel by at least one contact zone so that the wheel is carried by said contact zone at the level of the recess, the displacement or the deformation of the at least one support piece vertically displacing the position of the contact zone.

Thus, by varying the position of the at least one contact zone, it is possible to adjust the position of the wheel of a road vehicle carried on the mobile and/or deformable support part above or through a recess provided in the loading platform, which makes it possible to adjust the height of the road vehicle relative to the loading platform. Since the wheels of the road vehicle can partially penetrate into a recess provided in the loading platform, this consequently makes it possible to adjust the height of the lowest part of a railway wagon with a view to transporting a road vehicle mainly as a function of the weight of the load to be transported and the condition wear of the bogies of the wagon so as to obtain for each load an almost constant low level of the lower part of the railway wagon.

The vehicle is held and carried by all its wheels for better securing of the latter on the railway wagon and for a possible distribution of its weight on the various support devices.

Advantageously, the support parts not only serve to adjust the height of the road vehicle, but they also serve to secure and hold the road vehicle by its wheels on the loading platform of the railway wagon.

By adjusting the wheels of the same road vehicle to different heights, this invention advantageously makes it possible to possibly change the lateral and/or longitudinal angle of inclination of a road vehicle relative to the loading platform, relative to the wagon and/or relative to the ground.

According to another exemplary embodiment of the invention, the at least one support piece is removable, which makes it possible, for example, to remove them in order to be able to use the railway wagon for the transport of other loads not requiring a support piece. according to the invention.

  • au sein de chaque paire de cales, l'au moins une zone de contact est composée par une surface d'appui et de calage oblique sur chaque cale, ces surfaces d'appui et de calage obliques étant en regard l'une de l'autre ;
  • l'une au moins des cales étant déplaçable manuellement en écartement relatif longitudinal au sein de chaque paire de cales, l'autre cale pouvant être déplaçable manuellement ou fixe par rapport au plateau de chargement ou à la plaque mobile ;
  • chaque cale déplaçable comporte au moins un dispositif d'immobilisation ;
According to an additional exemplary embodiment of the invention, each support device comprises two support parts each in the form of a wedge, and:
  • within each pair of shims, the at least one contact zone is composed of an oblique support and wedging surface on each shim, these oblique support and wedging surfaces facing one of the other ;
  • at least one of the wedges being manually movable in longitudinal relative spacing within each pair of wedges, the other wedge being able to be manually movable or fixed relative to the loading platform or to the movable plate;
  • each movable chock comprises at least one immobilizing device;
  • the loading plate or the movable plate comprises at least one additional immobilizing device intended to cooperate with the device for immobilizing the movable chocks in order to immobilize said chocks on the loading plate or on the movable plate.

The use of wedges is advantageous in that these wedges can be positioned manually on the loading platform in a simple and rapid manner, their relative spacing within each pair making it possible to adjust the height of the wheels of the road vehicle by letting them penetrate more or less in the recess in the loading platform.

The use of movable wedges is advantageous in that it makes it possible to adapt the support device of the invention to different wheelbases between the axles of the road vehicle.

According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, each chock has a support and wedging surface for the wheels, this surface being inclined relative to the horizontal by an angle of between 20° and 90°, preferably between 35° and 60°, and more preferably substantially equal to 45°.

In fact, the lower the inclination, the finer the height adjustment for the same spacing between the chocks, while the greater the inclination, the greater the level of immobilization of the wheels, whereas oblique chocks according to an angle substantially equal to 45° offer a good compromise between fine adjustment in height and degree of immobilization of the wheels.

These chocks differ from conventional car chocks comprising a tube of reduced diameter and which are used for car carriers, these conventional chocks not being designed to support the weight of a vehicle which would be carried by them. In fact, the tube of conventional car chocks has a diameter that is too small to support the weight of a vehicle, in particular when it is a semi-trailer, whereas the chocks of the invention are provided for this purpose. effect and are therefore sized and designed to support a very heavy weight.

  • une pièce de soutien sous la forme d'une pièce souple ou articulée apte à se déformer pour épouser la forme de l'au moins une roue du véhicule routier qu'elle soutient ;
According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, each support device comprises:
  • a support part in the form of a flexible or articulated part capable of deforming to match the shape of the at least one wheel of the road vehicle that it supports;
  • two guides provided at the front and at the rear of the at least one wheel, the flexible or articulated part being held between its two guides; and
  • a tensioning device provided for adjusting the tension of the flexible or articulated piece between the two guides.

The use of a flexible or articulated part is advantageous in that its tension can be adjusted manually in a simple and rapid manner to adjust the height of the wheels of the road vehicle by letting them penetrate more or less into the recess provided in the plate. loading, depending on whether the flexible or articulated part is inversely more or less stretched. In addition, if the width of the flexible or articulated part is equal to or greater than the width of the wheels, they ensure protection of the wheels with respect to attacks from the environment.

According to another exemplary embodiment of the invention, at least one flexible or articulated part is in the form of a rope, a strap, a cable, a chain, articulated plates or a combination of these means.

According to an additional embodiment of the invention, the tensioning device consists of two guides around which the flexible or articulated part is fixed and/or rolled up. Thus, the winding of the flexible or articulated part around at least one of the guides makes it possible to adjust its tension and to adjust the height of the wheels of the road vehicle.

According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the tensioning device comprises a ratchet device, which is advantageously suitable for tensioning and maintaining tension, in particular manually, of a flexible or articulated part.

According to another exemplary embodiment of the invention, the ratchet device comprises a lever for its manual actuation.

  • l'un au moins des deux guides est déplaçable manuellement en écartement relatif longitudinal au sein de chaque paire de guides, l'autre guide pouvant être déplaçable manuellement ou fixe par rapport au plateau de chargement ou à la plaque mobile ;
  • chaque guide déplaçable comporte au moins un dispositif d'immobilisation ;
According to an additional embodiment of the invention, the tensioning device consists of two guides, and:
  • at least one of the two guides can be moved manually in longitudinal relative spacing within each pair of guides, the other guide being able to be moved manually or fixed with respect to the loading platform or to the movable plate;
  • each movable guide comprises at least one immobilizing device;
  • the loading plate or the movable plate comprises at least one additional immobilizing device intended to cooperate with the device for immobilizing the movable guides in order to immobilize the said guides on the loading plate or on the movable plate.

The use of at least one movable guide is advantageous in that it makes it possible to quickly and simply adjust the tension of a flexible or articulated part and makes it possible to adapt the support device of the invention to different wheelbases between the axles of the road vehicle.

  • au moins un élément d'engagement mâle ou femelle prévu pour s'engager avec un élément d'engagement mâle ou femelle complémentaire parmi une pluralité d'éléments d'engagement mâles ou femelles complémentaires régulièrement réparties dans la face supérieure du plateau de chargement, dans des rails longitudinaux solidaires de la face supérieure du plateau de chargement, dans la face supérieure de la plaque mobile, ou dans des rails longitudinaux solidaires de la face supérieure de la plaque mobile ;
  • une paire de crochets prévus pour s'engager à immobilisation dans une fente longitudinale parmi des fentes régulièrement réparties dans la face supérieure du plateau de chargement ou dans la face supérieure de la plaque mobile ;

These immobilization devices are advantageous in that they make it possible to set up and position wedges or guides quickly and simply, and to adjust their relative spacing simply and quickly according to longitudinal positions pre-indexed on the plate of loading. These immobilizers are advantageously easy and quick to use, and reliable for securing a vehicle on the loading platform of a railway vehicle.

According to another exemplary embodiment of the invention, the loading platform is a pocket carried by a piggyback wagon of the pocket wagon type or in that the loading platform is the floor of a flat wagon. Indeed, the invention can be applied to any type of railway wagon provided for the transport of road vehicles or any other load comprising cylindrical rolling means.

  • une pièce de soutien sous la forme sous la forme d'un réceptacle rigide prévu pour être introduit dans l'évidement du plateau de chargement et pour supporter une roue du véhicule routier ;
According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, each support device comprises:
  • a support piece in the form of a rigid receptacle intended to be introduced into the recess of the loading platform and to support a wheel of the road vehicle;
  • two height positioning devices for the rigid receptacle provided at the front and at the rear of the at least one wheel, the rigid receptacle being carried and positioned in height by these height positioning devices.

  • une cale à degré ;
  • une came rotative ;
  • une cale biaise ;
According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, each height positioning device of the rigid receptacle comprises at least one of the following means:
  • a step wedge;
  • a rotary cam;
  • an angled wedge;
  • an articulation by which the rigid receptacle is pivotally mounted on the loading platform or on the movable plate.

According to another exemplary embodiment of the invention, each movable plate has a recess provided so as to be able to be superimposed above a recess arranged in the loading platform at the level of the location provided for the wheels of the road vehicle.

  1. a) détermination de la hauteur à laquelle le véhicule routier doit être positionné pendant son transport sur le wagon ferroviaire, en fonction des variables liées au wagon à vide et en charge, pour se trouver à un niveau bas proche de la limite inférieure du gabarit ferroviaire mais sans la dépasser ;
  2. b) détermination de la hauteur à laquelle les roues du véhicule routier doivent être positionnées pour obtenir la hauteur de véhicule déterminée à l'étape a) ;
  3. c) mise en place d'au moins un dispositif de soutien sur le plateau de chargement au niveau de l'emplacement prévu pour les roues du véhicule routier ;
  4. d) réglage de la position ou de la conformation d'au moins une pièce de soutien pour que la hauteur de roue déterminée à l'étape b) soit obtenue lorsqu'une roue du véhicule routier repose sur cette pièce de soutien ;
  5. e) immobilisation de l'au moins une pièce de soutien sur le plateau de chargement selon la position ou la conformation réglée à l'étape d) ;
The objects assigned to the invention are also achieved using a method for adjusting the height positioning of a road vehicle equipped with wheels on a loading platform carried or secured to a railway wagon according to the invention in view of the transport of said vehicle on the railway wagon, said method being characterized in that it comprises the following successive steps:
  1. a) determination of the height at which the road vehicle must be positioned during its transport on the railway wagon, according to the variables linked to the empty and laden wagon, to be at a low level close to the lower limit of the railway gauge but without exceeding it;
  2. b) determination of the height at which the wheels of the road vehicle must be positioned to obtain the vehicle height determined in step a);
  3. c) installation of at least one support device on the loading platform at the location provided for the wheels of the road vehicle;
  4. d) adjusting the position or the conformation of at least one support piece so that the wheel height determined in step b) is obtained when a wheel of the road vehicle rests on this support piece;
  5. e) immobilization of the at least one support piece on the loading platform according to the position or the conformation set in step d);
  6. f) loading the road vehicle onto the loading platform by placing one of its wheels on the at least one support piece immobilized in step e).

This method makes it possible to quickly and easily adjust the position of the wheel of a road vehicle relative to the loading platform, and consequently to adjust the height of the wheel with a view to transporting a road vehicle mainly as a function of the weight of the load to be transported and the state of wear of the bogies of the wagon so as to obtain for each load an almost constant low level of the lower part of the railway wagon and its load.

According to an exemplary implementation of the invention, during step c) the positioning of at least one support device on the loading platform is carried out manually.

According to another example of implementation of the invention, during step f) the loading of the road vehicle on the loading platform is carried out either from above by means of a crane, a gantry or any other means of lifting, or by rolling the road vehicle by its wheels on the loading platform, which makes it possible to adapt the invention to many types of loading of a road vehicle on a railway wagon.

The wheel support device makes it possible to obtain longitudinal and transverse restraint of the load relative to the rail pocket. This retention makes it possible, in the case of a load pocket separated from the structure of the wagon, to secure the position of the load relative to the pocket during the lifting operations of the pocket/load assembly and thus to work in safety.

This restraint also makes it possible to participate in maintaining the longitudinal position of the load relative to the wagon during the impact phases.

Mode(s) de réalisation de l'inventionEmbodiment(s) of the Invention

The structurally and functionally identical elements present in several separate figures are assigned the same numerical or alphanumeric reference.

The invention is preferably intended for the piggybacking of semi-trailers on railway wagons. However, it can apply to any type of railway wagon provided for the transport of road vehicles or any other load comprising wheels or similar means. Thus, in this description, road vehicle equipped with wheels also means any other load comprising cylindrical rolling elements. In the figures, the road vehicle is represented by way of example in the form of a semi-trailer comprising one or three axles.

The loading platform (2) can be a pocket carried by a piggyback car (1) of the car-pocket type, or be the floor of a flat car (1).

This railway wagon (1) comprises a system (5) for adjusting the height of the wheels of a road vehicle provided for adjusting the height of the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3) to a predetermined height with respect to the loading (2) before each transport and for the entire duration thereof so that the road vehicle (3) transported and the loading platform (2) loaded are at a lower level greater than or equal to the lower limit (h ) of the railway gauge.

The lower limit (h) and the upper limit (h') of the railway gauge are represented in the figures by broken lines.

The adjustment system (5) comprises at least one recess (6) arranged in the loading platform (2) at the level of the location provided for the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3), each recess (6) being sized to allow at least partial engagement of the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3) through the recess (6).

Such a recess (6) allows a wide range of adjustment for the height position of the road vehicle (3) according to its weight and the wear of the bogies (7) because it allows the wheels (4) of said road vehicle (3) below the level of the upper face (8) of the platform of loading (2).

Within the same longitudinal axis, these recesses (6) can be in the form of a single recess (6) or several recesses (6) evenly distributed or not on the upper face (8) of the loading platform ( 2).

The adjustment system (5) also comprises at least one support device (9) for the wheels (4) of a road vehicle (3), this support device (9) being provided on the loading platform (2) at the location provided for the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3). Each support device (9) comprises at least one mobile and/or deformable support part (10) intended to support at least one wheel (4) of the road vehicle (3) by at least one contact zone (11) so that said wheel (4) is carried by the at least one contact zone (11) and rests only on the at least one support piece (10), and not on the loading platform (2), the displacement or the deformation of the at least one support part (10) vertically displacing the position of the at least one contact zone (11).

Un dispositif de soutien (9) est préférentiellement prévu pour chacune des roues (4) du véhicule routier (3).A support device (9) is preferably provided for each of the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3).

Thus, the height adjustment of the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3) downwards relative to the loading platform (2) is done by adjusting the position or the conformation of the support parts (10) and by the sinking of the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3) into the recess (6) of said loading platform (2), the wheels (4) being carried and resting only on the support parts (10) and not on the loading platform (2).

According to a first variant of the invention represented on the figures 1 to 22 , each support piece (10) is in the form of a chock (12) and the support device (9) thus comprises a pair of facing chocks (12) provided to receive one of the wheels (4 ) of the road vehicle (3) resting between said wedges (12).

The more the wedges (12) are spaced apart, the lower the wheel (4) is positioned and penetrates deeply into the recess (6) of the plate loading (2). Conversely, the closer the wedges (12) are, the higher the wheel (4) is positioned and is raised relative to the loading platform (2).

According to this first variant, within each pair of shims (12), the at least one contact zone (11) is composed of a support and wedging surface (13) oblique to each shim (12), these oblique bearing and wedging surfaces (13) facing each other.

Each chock (12) preferably has a support and wedging surface (13) for the wheels (4), this surface (13) being inclined with respect to the horizontal by an angle of between 20° and 90°, preferably between 35° and 60°, and more preferably substantially equal to 45°.

The support and wedging surface (13) of each wedge (12) is preferably a flat surface, with or without non-slip reliefs.

At least one of the wedges (12) can be moved manually in relative longitudinal spacing within each pair of wedges (12), the other wedge (12) possibly being movable manually or fixed relative to the loading platform (2). In the preferred case, the two wedges (12) are movable.

In order to be immobilized on the loading platform (2), each movable chock (12) comprises at least one immobilizing device (14) and the loading platform (2) comprises at least one additional immobilizing device (15) intended to cooperate with the immobilization device (14) of the movable wedges (12) to immobilize the said wedges (12) on the loading platform (2).

According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, not shown, each chock (12) comprises a cylindrical part, which may or may not have non-slip reliefs, intended to serve as a support surface and as oblique wedging for the wheels (4).

According to a preferred alternative embodiment of the invention represented on the figures 11 to 22 , each chock (12) is in the form of a solid block having an oblique bearing and wedging surface (13) for the wheels (4).

It will be noted that the chocks (12) used in this invention differ in their shape, their role and their use from the removable chocks usually used in car carrier vehicles for chocking the wheels of vehicles loaded on said car carrier vehicles.

Indeed, these wedges, widely known, are immobilized according to positions chosen on the loading platform of the car carrier vehicle so that the wheels of the road vehicles transported on the car carrier vehicle are at least partially immobilized by their support on these wedges. This system for immobilizing the wheels of a road vehicle by chocks is often used on one side of the wheels only and combined with other immobilizing devices, for example of the strap type, to completely immobilize the wheels of the road vehicle in order to secure the latter on the car transport vehicle. Thus, these wedges are generally not used in pairs. In addition, these wedges are in no way intended to adjust the height of the vehicles transported on the car transport vehicle and they are never used for this function in the context of the transport of a road vehicle on a railway wagon.

According to a second variant of the invention represented on the figures 23 to 30 , each support piece (10) is in the form of a flexible or articulated piece (16) and the support device (9) thus comprises a flexible or articulated piece (16) intended to carry a wheel (4) and whose the conformation, that is to say depending on whether the flexible or articulated part (16) is loose or more or less taut, makes it possible to modify the height of the wheel (4) carried.

The flexible or articulated part (16) is capable of deforming to match the shape of at least one wheel (4) of the road vehicle (3) that it supports.

The support device (9) also comprises two guides (17) provided at the front and at the rear of the at least one wheel (4), the flexible or articulated part (16) being held between these two guides ( 17).

These two guides (17) are provided on either side of each recess (6).

It also includes a tensioning device (18) designed to adjust the tension of the flexible or articulated piece (16) between the two guides (17).

The more the flexible or articulated part (16) is stretched, the closer the shape of the contact zone (11) is to a horizontal straight line, and the more the wheel (4) is raised relative to the loading plate (2). Conversely, the less the flexible or articulated part (16) is stretched, the more the downward curvature of the contact zone (11) increases, and the lower the wheel (4) is positioned and penetrates deeply into the recess. (6) of the loading platform (2).

The flexible or articulated piece (16) is preferably in the form of a rope, a strap (19), a cable, a chain (20), articulated plates or a combination of these means . It can be any way flexible enough to conform to the wheels (4) and strong enough to support the weight of the transported road vehicle (3).

On the figures 25 to 28 , the flexible or articulated piece (16) is in the form of a chain (20), while on the figures 29 and 30 , the flexible or articulated part (16) is in the form of a strap (19),

According to a preferred alternative embodiment of the invention represented on the figures 25 to 30 , the tensioning device (18) consists of two guides (17) around which the flexible or articulated part (16) is fixed and/or wound.

The tension adjustment of the flexible or articulated part (16), allowing the height adjustment of the wheels (4), can for example be done by winding or unwinding the flexible or articulated part (16) around at least the two guides (17). Thus, when the flexible or articulated piece (16) is wound around at least two guides (17) while rotating, its tension increases and the wheel (4) rises (see figure 26 and 28 ), while when the flexible or articulated part (16) is unwound around at least two guides (17) by rotating the latter in the other direction, its tension decreases and the wheel (4) descends (see figure 25 and 27 ).

The two guides (17) are then preferably cylindrical, their rotation in one direction or the other ensuring the height adjustment of the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3).

The tensioning device (18) may comprise a ratchet device (21) for tensioning the flexible or articulated piece (16) and maintaining this tension over time in a releasable and adjustable manner. The ratchet device (21) may include a lever (22) for its manual actuation.

In order to facilitate the process of adjusting the height of the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3), a first tensioning device (18) can be dedicated to the wear of the bogies (7) of the railway wagon (1) and the other in charge.

For example, the wear of the bogies (7) of the railway wagon (1) can be indexed in stages, for example five in number, and the first tensioning device (18) dedicated to the wear of the bogies (7) comprises then corresponding indexed positions, the number of which is for example identical to that of the wear bearings.

Similarly, the load level of the loading plate (2) can also be indexed in stages, for example three in number, corresponding respectively to an empty load level, to a half-load level and to a load level. . The second voltage device (18) dedicated to the load comprises then corresponding indexed positions, the number of which is for example identical to that of the load stages.

This configuration makes it easy to recognize the suitability for transport via a control of the indexed rotation of each guide (17) of the tensioning device (18), this rotation being able to be indexed by marks on each guide (17) appearing in a reading window or in front of a selector, by the indexed inclination of the lever (22), or by any other mechanical indication.

According to another alternative preferred embodiment of the invention, the tensioning device (18) consists of two guides (17), at least one of which is manually movable in longitudinal relative spacing within each pair of guides (17). , the other guide (17) being movable manually or fixed relative to the loading plate (2).

The tension adjustment of the flexible or articulated part (16), allowing the height adjustment of the wheels (4), can for example be done by moving away or relative approximation of the two guides (17), by the longitudinal displacement of one or of the two guides (17). Thus, when the two guides (17) are far from each other, the tension of the flexible or articulated part (16) increases and the wheel (4) rises (see figure 30 ), while when the two guides (17) are brought closer to each other, the tension of the flexible or articulated part (16) decreases and the wheel (4) descends (see figure 29 ).

As before, in order to facilitate the process of adjusting the height of the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3), a first guide (17) can be dedicated to the wear of the bogies (7) of the railway wagon (1) and the other to charge. Thus, the longitudinal position of the guide (17) dedicated to the wear of the bogies (7) can be indexed on the loading platform (2) according to bearings corresponding to different levels of wear of the bogies (7), while the longitudinal position of the guide (17) dedicated to the load can be indexed on the loading plate (2) according to levels corresponding to different load levels loading plate (2).

Thus, the longitudinal position of a first wedge (12) dedicated to the wear of the bogies (7) can be indexed on the loading platform (2) according to bearings corresponding to different levels of wear of the bogies (7), while the longitudinal position of a second wedge (12) dedicated to the load can be indexed on the loading platform (2) according to levels corresponding to different loading platform (2) load levels. This indexing can for example be materialized by means of marks, encrypted or not, provided on the loading platform (2) and facing a reading window or a selector, or be materialized by means of any other mechanical indication

As for the wedges (12), each movable guide (17) can comprise at least one immobilization device (14) while the loading plate (2) comprises at least one complementary immobilization device (15) intended to cooperate with the device (14) for immobilizing the guides (17) which can be moved to immobilize the said guides (17) on the loading platform (2).

Each wedge (12) or guide (17) can be removably mounted on the loading platform (2). This assembly can be indexed in position.

In general, each wedge (12) or each movable guide (17) may comprise one of the following immobilization devices (14):
  • at least one male or female engagement element (23) designed to engage with a complementary male or female engagement element (23) among a plurality of complementary male or female engagement elements (24) regularly distributed in the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2) or in longitudinal rails (25) integral with the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2);
  • a pair of hooks (26) designed to engage immobilization in a longitudinal slot (27) among slots (27) regularly distributed in the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2);
  • a pair of movable engagement fingers (28) designed to engage in the locking position in orifices (29) among a plurality of orifices (29) regularly distributed in the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2 ) or in longitudinal rails (25) secured to the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2);
  • a pair of clamping screws (30) designed to engage immobilization in a threaded orifice (31) among threaded orifices (31) regularly distributed in the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2) or in the rails longitudinal (25) secured to the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2);

More concretely, it is possible to provide several embodiments for the immobilization devices (14) and the complementary immobilization devices (15) intended to cooperate.

Des dispositifs d'immobilisation (14) et dispositifs d'immobilisation complémentaires (15) sont donnés à titre d'exemple sur les figures 11 à 22 pour des cales (12), mais il est évident pour l'homme du métier de les adapter sans effort pour des guides (17).Immobilizers (14) and complementary immobilizers (15) are given by way of example on the figures 11 to 22 for wedges (12), but it is obvious for those skilled in the art to adapt them effortlessly for guides (17).

According to the alternative embodiment represented on the figures 17 and 18 , the complementary immobilization device (15) is in the form of a plurality of oblongs (33) regularly distributed longitudinally in the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2) and the tightening bolts (32) extend vertically.

According to the alternative embodiment represented on the figures 19 to 22 , the complementary immobilizing device (15) is in the form of a plurality of oblongs (33) regularly distributed longitudinally in the faces (38) facing two longitudinal rails (25) integral with the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2) and the clamping bolts (32) extend horizontally.

According to a sixth alternative embodiment not shown in the figures, the device (14) for immobilizing a wedge (12) comprises a pair of clamping screws (30) arranged transversely and extending horizontally through a pair of openings through-holes provided in each wedge (12), said clamping screws (30) being provided to engage with immobilization in a threaded orifice (31) among a plurality of threaded orifices (31) regularly distributed longitudinally in the faces (38) facing two longitudinal rails (25) integral with the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2).

According to an alternative embodiment of the immobilizer (14) represented on the figures 15 to 22 , each chock (12) has a lateral extension (42) comprising an immobilizing device (14). This makes it possible in particular to offset the parts of the wedge (12) comprising through openings in order to facilitate the manipulation of the screws (30), the bolts (32), the nuts (41) and the gripping stops (40). In these figures, the lateral extensions (42) each slide against the vertical side (43) of one of the longitudinal rails (25).

Selon les alternatives de réalisation représentées sur les figures 19 20, les rails longitudinaux (25) peuvent également présenter une extension latérale (44) prévue pour supporter au moins les extrémités latérales des cales (12), par exemple au niveau de leurs extensions latérales (42).Depending on the alternative embodiments represented on the figures 19 20 , the longitudinal rails (25) may also have a lateral extension (44) provided to support at least the lateral ends of the wedges (12), for example at their lateral extensions (42).

It will be noted that the various means of the complementary immobilization device (15) for the wedges (12) and the guides (17) which are provided on the loading platform (2) can be provided either directly on the loading platform (2 ), or on a part which is attached and secured to the loading platform (2).

According to a third variant of the invention represented on the figures 31 to 38 , each support piece (10) is in the form of a rigid receptacle (47) intended to be introduced into a recess (6) of the loading platform (2) and to support a wheel (4) of the road vehicle (3 ) at a predetermined height relative to the loading platform (2).

La partie médiane (48) est préférentiellement sensiblement horizontale et sa face supérieure est prévue pour supporter la roue (4) du véhicule routier (3).According to this third variant of the invention, the rigid receptacle (47) has a hollow central part (48) extending downwards, which is provided to penetrate downwards through the recess (6) of the loading plate (2). The middle part (48) is preferably substantially horizontal and its upper face is provided to support the wheel (4) of the road vehicle (3).

These peripheral flanges (49) extend horizontally outside the recess (6) of the loading platform (2) and above the loading platform (2).

A height positioning device (50) of the receptacle rigid (47) is preferably provided on the loading platform (2) both at the front and at the rear of the wheel (4) of the road vehicle (3), each of these height positioning devices (50 ) of the rigid receptacle (47) being provided to each support a peripheral rim (49) of the rigid receptacle (47).

Each height positioning device (50) of the rigid receptacle (47) may for example comprise a wedge (51), a rotating cam (53), an angled wedge or any other device making it possible to modify the height at which the receptacle rigid (47) is supported.

On the figures 31 and 32 given by way of example, each device for positioning the height (50) of the rigid receptacle (47) comprises a wedge (51). By adjusting the mutual spacing of each of these step wedges (51), the peripheral edges (49) of the rigid receptacle (47) come to rest on a more or less high step of each step wedge (51) and it is thus possible to adjust the height at which the rigid receptacle (47) is positioned.

The wedges of the height positioning device (50) of the rigid receptacle (47) can comprise any immobilization device similar to those of the wedges (12) of the first variant of the invention, while the loading platform (2) may comprise an additional immobilizing device intended to cooperate with the device for immobilizing the chocks in order to immobilize them on the loading platform (2).

On the figures 33 and 34 given by way of example, each height positioning device (50) of the rigid receptacle (47) comprises a rotary cam (53) pivotally mounted on a support (54) carried or fixed on the loading platform (2). By pivoting the rotary cam (53), the peripheral edges (49) of the rigid receptacle (47) are more or less raised and it is thus possible to adjust the height at which the rigid receptacle (47) is positioned.

Each wedge or cam of the height positioning device (50) of the rigid receptacle (47) can be fixed or removably mounted on the loading platform (2). This assembly can be indexed in position.

According to the third variant of the invention, the same adjustment system (5) can also comprise two different height positioning devices (50).

The articulation (55) can be fixed or removably mounted on the loading platform (2). This assembly can be indexed in position.

According to the third variant of the invention, the adjustment system (5) can also comprise suspension devices (52), for example in the form of springs, which are provided between the loading platform (2) and the peripheral edges (49) of the rigid receptacle (47). By relieving the weight of the rigid receptacle (47), these suspension devices (52) make it possible to facilitate the handling of the support device (9) during height adjustment operations of the wheel (4) of the road vehicle (3 ).

This movable plate (56), provided between the support device (9) and the loading platform (2), is mounted adjustable in the longitudinal position on the loading platform (2).

On the figures 39 to 42 , the support parts (10) for the wheels (4) are represented schematically by parallelepipeds, because this variant of the invention can be adapted to all types of support part (10) previously described or possible. It should be noted that according to this variant, the movable plate (56) replaces the surface of the loading platform (2) on which the support device (9) of the invention is mounted. Thus, according to this variant, the additional immobilization devices and the longitudinal rails which, according to the other variants, are provided on the loading platform (2), are then provided on the movable plate (56). The previous embodiments can thus be adapted to this variant by replacing the upper face (8) of the loading platform (2) with the upper face (57) of the movable plate (56).

According to this variant, when the wheels (4) of a road vehicle (3) are adjusted in height thanks to the adjustment system (5) of the invention, it is possible to move said road vehicle (3) longitudinally with respect to the loading platform (2) without having to move the road vehicle (3) relative to the support devices (9) which support its wheels (4). This makes it possible, for example, to move a semi-trailer mounted on a flatbed longitudinally. load (2) and whose height is adjusted by means of a support device (9) according to the invention, without having to disturb the height positioning of the semi-trailer, but simply by sliding the movable plates ( 56) on the loading platform (2). It is thus possible, by way of example, to move a semi-trailer carried longitudinally on the loading platform (2) to position the coupling pin of said semi-trailer at the level of a pin immobilizer coupling provided on the loading platform (2).

The movable plate (56) has a recess (58) intended to be able to be superposed above a recess (6) provided in the loading platform (2) at the level of the location provided for the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3). The recess (58) of the movable plate (56) may have dimensions similar to those of the recess (6) arranged in the loading platform (2), or have different dimensions, as long as these allow the at least partial engagement of a wheel (4) through the recess (58).

According to an embodiment given by way of example on the figures 39 to 42 , the movable plate (56) is in the form of a rigid and flat support piece (59) which is slidably mounted on the loading platform (2), for example by engagement of its lateral edges in a housing provided in longitudinal rails (60) provided on the loading platform (2).

According to this variant, the support device (9) may comprise a locking device making it possible to lock the movable plate (56) in position relative to the loading platform (2). On the figures 41 and 42 , the locking of the movable plate (56) with respect to the loading platform (2) is thus achieved by means of a transverse locking pin (62) which engages in a releasable manner in one of the indentations (61) provided in the side edges of the movable plate (56).It is obvious for the person skilled in the art to envisage other means making it possible to move the movable plate (56) relative to the loading plate (2) and to lock the plate mobile (56) in position relative to the latter, so other examples will not be given here.

  1. a) détermination de la hauteur à laquelle le véhicule routier (3) doit être positionné pendant son transport sur le wagon ferroviaire (1), en fonction des variables liées au wagon (1) à vide et en charge, pour se trouver à un niveau bas proche de la limite inférieure du gabarit ferroviaire mais sans la dépasser ;
  2. b) détermination de la hauteur à laquelle les roues (4) du véhicule routier (3) doivent être positionnées pour obtenir la hauteur de véhicule déterminée à l'étape a) ;
  3. c) mise en place d'au moins un dispositif de soutien (9) sur le plateau de chargement (2) au niveau de l'emplacement prévu pour les roues (4) du véhicule routier (3) ;
  4. d) réglage de la position ou de la conformation d'au moins une pièce de soutien (10) pour que la hauteur de roue déterminée à l'étape b) soit obtenue lorsqu'une roue (4) du véhicule routier (3) repose sur cette pièce de soutien (10) ;
  5. e) immobilisation de l'au moins une pièce de soutien (10) sur le plateau de chargement (2) selon la position ou la conformation réglée à l'étape d) ;
The invention also relates to a method for adjusting the positioning in height of a road vehicle (3) equipped with wheels (4) on a loading platform (2) carried or secured to a railway wagon (1) in view transporting said vehicle (1) on the railway wagon (1). This process comprises the following successive steps:
  1. a) determination of the height at which the road vehicle (3) must be positioned during its transport on the railway wagon (1), depending on the variables linked to the empty and laden wagon (1), to be at a low level close to the lower limit of the railway gauge but without exceeding it;
  2. b) determining the height at which the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3) must be positioned to obtain the vehicle height determined in step a);
  3. c) placing at least one support device (9) on the loading platform (2) at the location provided for the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3);
  4. d) adjusting the position or the conformation of at least one support piece (10) so that the wheel height determined in step b) is obtained when a wheel (4) of the road vehicle (3) rests on this support piece (10);
  5. e) immobilization of the at least one support piece (10) on the loading plate (2) according to the position or the conformation set in step d);
  6. f) loading the road vehicle (3) on the loading platform (2) by placing one of its wheels (4) on the at least one support piece (10) immobilized in step e).

During step c), the positioning of at least one support device (9) on the loading platform (2) is preferably carried out manually.

Au cours de l'étape f) le chargement du véhicule routier (3) sur le plateau de chargement (2) est effectué soit par le haut au moyen d'une grue, d'un portique ou de tout autre moyen de levage, soit en faisant rouler le véhicule routier (3) par ses roues (4) sur le plateau de chargement (2).During step f) the loading of the road vehicle (3) on the loading platform (2) is carried out either from above by means of a crane, a gantry or any other lifting means, or by rolling the road vehicle (3) by its wheels (4) on the loading platform (2).

Afin de comprendre le principe de réglage en hauteur en hauteur d'un véhicule routier sur un plateau de chargement (2) au moyen du système de réglage (5) et selon le procédé de l'invention, on pourra se référer à divers exemples illustrés sur les figures 1 à 6.In order to understand the principle of height adjustment in height of a road vehicle on a loading platform (2) by means of the adjustment system (5) and according to the method of the invention, reference may be made to various illustrated examples. on the figures 1 to 6 .

On the figure 1 and 23 , the bogies (7) of the railway wagon (1) are not worn and the road vehicle (3) is light, so the loading platform (2) is not lowered. By light, it is meant here that the road vehicle (3) has a negligible weight compared to the maximum weight that the loading platform (2) can support. In the case of a semi-trailer, it is for example an empty semi-trailer or one carrying a very light load. Since the board of load (2) is not lowered, it is at the highest point and the road vehicle (3) must be placed as low as possible in order to respect the railway gauge, i.e. the minimum height (h) between the rails and the lowest part of the loading platform (2) and its load, as well as the maximum height (h') between the rails and the highest part of the loading platform (2) and its load . To place the road vehicle (3) as low as possible, each support piece (10) is adjusted so as to allow the lower part of the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3) to penetrate below the level of the upper face (8 ) of the loading platform (2), while supporting the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3) and immobilizing them longitudinally.

On the figure 2 , the bogies (7) of the railway wagon (1) are new and the road vehicle (3) is heavy, so the loading platform (2) is lowered because the weight of the load causes the loading platform (2) to deflect. Since the lowest point of the loading platform (2) is lowered, the road vehicle (3) must be raised relative to the previous situation in order to respect the rail gauge. Thanks to the position or the conformation of each support piece (10) the height adjustment of the wheels can be very precise in order to adjust the position of the road vehicle (3) downwards by the desired height.

On the figure 3 and 24 , the bogies (7) of the railway wagon (1) are worn and the road vehicle (3) is heavy, in particular in the case of a semi-trailer transporting a very heavy load. It is the weight of the load carried by the loading plate (2) which causes it to bend, and the loading plate (2) is further lowered because the diameter of the wheels of the bogies (7) is reduced compared to those of a new bogie (18). Thus, in its bent part corresponding to its lowest point, the loading plate (2) is very low and is at the lower limit allowed. Here too the road vehicle (3) must be raised relative to the previous situation in order to respect the rail gauge. The road vehicle (3) is raised so that its wheels (4) rest substantially at the same height as if they were resting on a conventional loading platform (2) with no recess (6). The position or conformation of each support piece (10) is then adjusted so that the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3) are at the level of the upper face of the loading platform (2) while immobilizing them longitudinally .

In order to understand the principle of height adjustment of a road vehicle (3) on a loading platform (2) of the pocket type according to the invention, reference may be made to various examples illustrated on the figures 6 to 10 . So In general, a pocket-type loading platform (2) is provided to be suspended longitudinally between two end elements (45) of the railway wagon (1) which include the bogies (7) or to be suspended laterally between two side members (46) of the railway wagon (1), as shown by way of example in the figure 9 .

The road vehicle (3) loaded on a loading platform (2) of the pocket type is represented on the figures 6 to 8 , before this assembly is loaded onto a railway wagon (1). On the figures 7 and 8 , it can be seen that the wheels (4) of the road vehicle (3) can freely protrude below the pocket-type loading platform (2), since they enter the recesses (6) provided for this purpose in the loading platform (2) and can freely protrude below the loading platform (2).

It is obvious that the present description is not limited to the examples explicitly described, but also includes other embodiments and/or implementations. Thus, a technical characteristic described can be replaced by an equivalent technical characteristic without departing from the scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims and a step described for implementing the method can be replaced by an equivalent step without departing from the scope. of the invention as defined by the claims.
