Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for lowering airborne and structure-borne noise with a longitudinal direction and with at least one resonator chamber arranged between an inflow and an outflow, the at least one resonator chamber transversely to the longitudinal direction outward from an outer wall parallel to the longitudinal direction and inward is delimited by an inner wall, the at least one resonator chamber being delimited in the longitudinal direction by a first end wall and a spaced second end wall, and the inner wall being air-permeable towards the at least one resonator chamber, the inner wall additionally in the area of the at least one resonator chamber is designed to be sound-absorbing by a predetermined permeability, and wherein the at least one resonator chamber has a rectangular cross section transversely to the longitudinal direction.
- Helmholtz resonators Devices for lowering airborne and structure-borne noise, so-called Helmholtz resonators, are typically constructed in such a way that communication with a resonance chamber takes place via targeted wall openings in an inner wall that closes off the resonator chamber inward, usually an inner tube, to the resonance chamber adjacent in the radial direction. Through this interaction with the chamber, a counter-sound can be generated in a targeted manner, which reduces the pressure fluctuations from the air flowing through.
- a device for lowering airborne and structure-borne noise with at least one (namely five resonator chambers) arranged between an inflow and an outflow resonator chamber is known.
- the resonator chamber is delimited transversely to a longitudinal direction of the device on the outside by an outer wall and on the inside by an inner wall.
- the resonator chamber is delimited in the longitudinal direction by a first end wall and a spaced-apart second end wall.
- the inner wall is made air-permeable towards the resonator chamber adjacent to it through wall openings configured as holes.
- the disadvantage of the known device is that, for the desired sound absorption of the inner wall towards the resonator chamber, an additional sound-absorbing layer is placed in front of it.
- This additional sound-absorbing layer is on the one hand relatively cost-intensive and on the other hand influences the resonance in the resonator chamber by covering the wall openings.
- the CH 550 964 A known as a muffler.
- the wall openings of a sound-absorbing inner wall of the resonator chamber made of foam are covered by a separate, sound-absorbing layer made of mineral wool or the like, whereby the resonance of the resonator chamber is influenced.
- a device (resonator) for lowering airborne and structure-borne noise is known as an exhaust silencer for motor vehicles.
- a resonator chamber is arranged between an inflow and an outflow.
- the device has an inner tube with wall openings between the inflow and outflow as a connection to the adjacent resonator chamber.
- the chamber is filled with a sound-absorbing damping material, for example glass fibers.
- a silencer is known in which the airborne sound is reduced by the interaction with two different chambers, namely a large resonance chamber and a second chamber.
- the airborne sound gets through openings into the resonance chamber and through a perforated plate into the second chamber.
- the second chamber is provided with sound-absorbing material, e.g. B. steel wool and mineral wool filled.
- the at least one silencer device comprises at least one gas guide element with a plurality of silencer openings and at least one silencer chamber that is free of sound-absorbing filler materials, is in flow connection with the silencer openings and at least partially laterally behind the at least one gas guide element is arranged.
- the silencer openings are preferably designed as micro-openings with specific opening widths. This is important for the sound-absorbing effect of the silencer chambers, which depends on the one hand on the volume of the silencer chambers and on the other hand on the sum of the areas of the silencer openings.
- the sound deadening liner includes an outer cover sheet that attaches to one side of a backing sheet with a set of cavities separated by side walls. On the opposite side of the carrier layer, another, inner cover layer is attached, which has been perforated by sandblasting so that resonance chambers are created.
- the muffler comprises damper chambers which are fluidically connected to a channel via passage openings and are delimited to the outside by outer walls so that the air flowing through the channel cannot flow to the environment.
- the damper chambers with different volumes form Helmholtz resonators with the through holes, which are tuned to different frequencies and thus dampen the sound emissions over a wide range.
- a fresh air line with a resonance chamber in which air passes an adsorber element on the way into the resonance chamber, which is used to adsorb hydrocarbons and / or odorous substances.
- a particularly suitable adsorber medium is carbon or activated charcoal in the form of free-flowing granules that are incorporated between two layers of a sheet material.
- annoying whistling noises should be prevented with a simple and inexpensive construction with just one chamber, without influencing the flow and / or impairing the Helmholtz effect.
- the inner wall itself has a sound-absorbing effect, without to adversely affect the resonance of the at least one resonator chamber. This makes it possible to dispense with an expensive, additional damping layer without any functional disadvantages.
- the inner wall can be designed as a sound-absorbing film.
- the inner wall is formed from a fleece.
- the inner wall is made of a plastic with a sound-absorbing perforation.
- the inner wall can in particular be formed from a sound-absorbing plastic film, which is made air-permeable on the one hand and sound-absorbing on the other hand through a corresponding plurality of perforated holes.
- the perforation of the plastic inner wall is designed in such a way that it has a dampening effect on the passing air flow with its air pressure changes and that the air flow can also communicate with the resonator chambers in the sense of the Helmholtz effect.
- the precisely coordinated perforation means that both the Helmholtz effect and absorption are possible.
- the inner wall is formed from a foam.
- the inner wall has additional wall openings towards the resonator chamber, which can be designed as holes or slots.
- the resonance frequencies of the resonator chamber or the resonator chambers can be influenced relatively independently of the sound-absorbing properties of the inner wall.
- the resonator chamber has at least one control web starting from the outer wall, which is spaced apart from the inner wall and runs parallel to the end walls.
- control webs enable a controlled pressure-resonance build-up of the resonator chamber. This further increases the scope for influence. While basic frequencies in particular are set by the individual resonator chambers, higher-order frequencies in particular can be set or achieved by means of the control webs.
- two resonator chambers that are adjacent to one another are arranged in the longitudinal direction, the second end wall of the first resonator chamber forming the first end wall of the second resonator chamber.
- resonator chambers it is also possible for three or four resonator chambers to be arranged adjacent to one another in the longitudinal direction. Two resonator chambers that are adjacent to one another each have a common end wall for delimitation in the longitudinal direction.
- an extremely broadband effect can be achieved (e.g. from 1,000 to 10,000 Hz).
- the outer wall and the inner wall are designed as pipe pieces extending concentrically to one another.
- the connection between the outer wall and the inner wall takes place in a known manner via the end walls of the resonator chamber or chambers.
- Such designs are suitable, for example, for lowering airborne and structure-borne noise in connection with turbochargers.
- the at least one resonator chamber has a rectangular cross section transversely to the longitudinal direction. Included the inner wall is concave in the longitudinal direction and forms an open channel. Such a design is particularly suitable for fan resonators in connection with air conditioning systems.
- a device 1 for lowering airborne and structure-borne noise consists essentially of a resonator chamber 2, an outer wall 3, an inner wall 4, a first end wall 5 and a second end wall 6.
- the resonator chamber 2 is arranged between an inflow 7 and an outflow 8.
- a longitudinal direction 9 in the Figure 1 a longitudinal axis
- the resonator chamber is delimited by the first end wall 5 and the spaced-apart second end wall 6.
- the two end walls 5, 6 are each ring-shaped.
- the resonator chamber 2 is delimited on the outside by the outer wall 3 and on the inside by the inner wall 4.
- the resonator chamber 2 has two control webs 10, 11 extending from the outer wall 3, which are spaced apart from the inner wall 4 and run parallel to the end walls 5, 6.
- the inner wall 4 in the area of the resonator chamber 2 is designed to be air-permeable and sound-absorbing over its entire length by a predetermined permeability.
- the inner wall 4 is made of a plastic with a sound-absorbing perforation. In addition to the perforations, the inner wall 4 has additional wall openings 12 towards the resonator chamber 2.
- the wall openings 12 are designed as holes.
- the wall openings can, however, also be designed as slots.
- the outer wall 3 and the inner wall 4 are designed as concentric pipe pieces.
- the device 1 'of Figures 2 to 4 has a first resonator chamber 13 and a second resonator chamber 14 between the outer wall 3 ′ and the inner wall 4 ′.
- the first resonator chamber 13 is delimited in the longitudinal direction 9 by a first end wall 15 and by a second end wall 16.
