Description

The invention relates to an escalator whose device is suitable for transporting wheelchairs, prams, shopping carts and the like.

Many escalators still pose an obstacle, for example, to wheelchair users and users with baby carriages. They usually have to look for elevators, which means that they have to make detours and search for them. To solve this problem, in the US5386904A proposed an escalator with mechanically highly complicated, height-adjustable steps, so that a platform for wheelchairs can be formed from three steps. These solutions are very expensive and involve a high risk of maintenance and damage. In particular, the wheelchair transport mode also interrupts and slows down the transport flow of the escalator for a period of time. the U.S. 2006/151286 A1 discloses an escalator according to the preamble of claim 1.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide an escalator which has a lower level of technical complexity and which is nevertheless suitable for the aforementioned users.

This object is achieved by an escalator with a supporting structure according to claim 1. This advantageous configuration of the supporting structure makes it possible to connect the escalator to an elevator and thereby use the supporting structure of the escalator as a support structure for the attached elevator components.

According to the invention, the escalator has a first access area, which is arranged at its place of use on a first level of a building. Furthermore, the escalator has a second access area, which is arranged in a second level of the structure. Furthermore, the escalator has an inclined area that connects the two access areas to one another. Components of an elevator are arranged at the attachment points of the structure to the side of the escalator and outside of its conveying area. the The elevator belonging to the escalator is arranged between the same levels as the escalator and connects them to each other. Since the escalator has an elevator in addition to the usual step belt for the additional transport of users, both transport options are directly next to each other, so that it is easy for users who cannot use the step belt to find the elevator. In addition, both transport options can be used at the same time and the elevator can be used regardless of the direction of the step belt, so that the transport flow of the step belt is not impaired. The elevator has at least one guide rail and a platform that is movably guided on the guide rail. If necessary, the platform can be used to transport items and/or users between the two levels.

In one embodiment, the at least one guide rail is connected to the supporting structure at least indirectly via the attachment points. This means that the at least one guide rail can be fastened directly to the fastening points as one of the components of the elevator or indirectly via intermediate parts such as supports, intermediate plates, cladding panels, fastening brackets and fastening means of all kinds arranged between the structure and the components of the elevator. None However, intermediate parts within the meaning of the present invention are parts of the structure such as walls, floors, stairs, shafts and the like. The decisive factor here is that at least one component of the elevator is at least partially supported by the support structure of the escalator.

In one embodiment, the at least one guide rail can be arranged in the area of one of the two access areas of the escalator at the fastening points of the supporting structure and vertically between the first level and the second level. Since at least one access area of the elevator is almost at the same place as one of the two access areas of the escalator, it can be found immediately by users with wheelchairs, baby carriages or means of transport such as pallet trucks or shopping carts. In addition, the guide rails of the elevator can be attached at least at one of their ends to the supporting structure that has been prepared and designed for this purpose, without any special configuration of the structure.

In one embodiment, the at least one guide rail at least in the oblique Be arranged area at the attachment points of the structure between the first level and the second level. In this advantageous embodiment, both access areas of the elevator are at least close to the same place as the two access areas of the escalator.

Different drive concepts can be used so that the platform can be moved along the guide rail.

A first drive concept provides that the elevator has an elevator drive that includes at least one drive motor, a gear and drive wheels. The drive wheels are operatively connected to the drive motor via the gearbox. In order to move the platform along the guide rails, the drive wheels act directly on the guide rails or on a drive element, for example a toothed rack, arranged parallel to the guide rail. In addition, the escalator includes an escalator drive, which is operatively connected to a circumferentially arranged step band of the escalator.

A second drive concept provides that the elevator contains at least one suspension element and an elevator drive, with the elevator drive having a traction sheave and a drive motor. The suspension element is guided over the traction sheave of the elevator drive and is connected to the platform at one of its two ends. With its other end, the suspension element can be connected to a movably guided counterweight. This counterweight enables the platform to be balanced and, in particular, leads to reduced energy consumption during operation. However, it is also conceivable for the suspension element to be connected to the traction sheave at the other end and to be wound onto the traction sheave in the manner of a rope drum. As with the first drive concept, the escalator includes an escalator drive that is independent of the elevator drive and is operatively connected to a step band of the escalator that is arranged all around it.

A third drive concept provides that the elevator comprises at least one suspension element and a traction sheave, over which the suspension element is guided, as well as a coupling gear. Furthermore, the escalator contains an escalator drive, which is operatively connected to a circumferentially arranged step band of the escalator. Furthermore, the Traction sheave can be coupled to the escalator drive via the coupling gear. With this drive concept, too, the elevator can have a counterweight that is connected to the suspension element. As already described above, depending on the configuration of the elevator, the traction sheave is designed with or without a counterweight as a pure traction sheave or as a cable drum.

The escalator includes a control device with which the escalator drive can be controlled. The elevator can be controlled by an elevator control that is completely independent of the escalator control. However, the control functions for operating the elevator can also be implemented in the escalator control. Of course, there are also safety devices for the escalator and the elevator, which forward their signals to the control device.

In one embodiment, the counterweight is arranged and movably guided in an interior space of the escalator that is delimited by cladding panels. As a result, it is better protected from environmental influences and the risk of accidents for users can be minimized.

The platform can also be configured differently. For example, the platform can be provided with a side wall bordering on all sides. To allow access, the side wall has a lockable access door on at least one side of the platform. Grids, opaque or transparent panels and the like can be used as the side wall. Such an embodiment is particularly suitable for elevators of the type mentioned above, the platforms of which are guided on guide rails arranged in the sloping area of the support structure.

In a further embodiment, the platform can be designed as a cabin floor and, enclosing a cabin interior, can be provided with cabin walls, a cabin roof and at least one cabin door. This embodiment is particularly suitable for elevators of the type mentioned above, the platforms of which are guided on vertically arranged guide rails.

In order to prevent accidents involving moving components of the elevator, Barriers provided that delimit the driving area of the platform from the environment of the escalator. Such barriers can be gratings, opaque or transparent panels, wall sections, balustrades and the like.

The barriers can also have an access control system. This access control system comprises at least one recording device for recording user data and a blocking device.

Pivoting barriers, automatic access doors, electronic door locks and the like can be used as blocking devices.

The detection device can include anything from a simple button to a non-contact detection system. With the simple button, for example, only a user command can be entered, which, if the platform is not already in the corresponding access area, fetches it and, when the platform is in the correct place, releases the blocking device and thus access to the platform. The correct location here means the two positions of the platform in the access areas of the elevator where the platform can be safely entered or exited.

A user's authorization can also be recognized with a non-contact recognition system. For example, a disabled person's ID card can be recognized by a recognition system equipped with an RFID reader and the use of the elevator can be released. The operators of the escalator can also issue user cards to disabled people or families with small children, for example. Web applications are also conceivable, which can be requested via mobile phones and with the help of which a user command can be transmitted to the control of the elevator and to the access control system. In other words, access to the platform can be blocked or released by the blocking device depending on the current operating status and/or the user data recorded. The detection system can thus prevent the elevator from being used by users who could actually use the escalator.

Of course, an existing escalator can also be used according to the invention Escalator to be modernized by connecting the existing escalator to an elevator. In order to make this possible, attachment points for attaching components of the elevator must first be arranged on the existing structure. It may also be necessary to make structural changes to the existing structure for reasons of stability, for example by adding additional struts, plates and the like to the structure of the structure. Components of the elevator can then be attached to the attachment points.

The same reference symbols denote the same or equivalent features in the various figures.

Ferner weist die Fahrtreppe 1 einen schrägen Bereich 4 auf, der die beiden Zugangsbereiche 2, 3 miteinander verbindet. figure 1 shows an escalator 1 in a three-dimensional representation, which connects a first floor E1 to a second floor E2 of a structure 100. The escalator 1 has a first access area 2 which is arranged in the first level E1 of the structure 100 . Furthermore, the escalator 1 has a second access area 3 which is arranged in the second level E2 of the structure 100 . Furthermore, the escalator 1 has an inclined area 4 which connects the two access areas 2, 3 to one another.

A conveyor portion 12 of the escalator 1 extends its length between the two Access areas 2, 3. The escalator 1 includes a supporting structure 6 which in the present embodiment as a truss (see also figure 2 ) is trained. In the support structure 6 there are two non-visible deflection areas 7, 8, between which a step band 5 is guided circumferentially. The deflection areas 7, 8 of the step band 5 are each hidden under a floor covering 9 of the two access areas 2, 3. Two balustrades 10, 11, which each have a circumferential handrail 13, 14, extend to the side of the conveyor area 12. The balustrades 10, 11 are each connected to the supporting structure 6 at their lower end by means of a balustrade base 15, 16.

Attachment points 20 for attaching components of an elevator 30 are arranged to the side of the escalator 1 and outside of its conveying area 12 . The attachment points 20 are formed directly on the structure 6 (see figure 2 ). The components of the elevator 30 include, in particular, guide rails 31, a platform 32 for accommodating users and/or objects to be transported, and an elevator drive 33. In the present exemplary embodiment, two guide rails 31 are parallel to one another and spaced vertically in the inclined region 4 of the escalator 1 at the Attachment points 20 attached.

The platform 32 is movably guided on these guide rails 31 . For safety reasons, a side wall 38 is provided which is arranged on the platform 32 and surrounds it on all sides. Of course, the platform 32 can also be designed as an elevator car 42, as is indicated with a broken line.

The platform 32 is moved by the elevator drive 33 which is integrated in the platform 32 . The elevator drive 33 includes a drive motor 34, a gear 35 and drive wheels 36, these components being largely covered by the side wall 38 in the present exemplary embodiment. The drive wheels 36 are operatively connected to the drive motor 34 via the transmission 35 . In order to move the platform 32 along the guide rails 31, the drive wheels 36 act directly on the guide rails 31 or on a drive element arranged parallel to the guide rail 31, for example a toothed rack.

In addition, the escalator 1 includes an escalator drive 22 which is operatively connected to the circumferentially arranged step band 5 of the escalator 1 . The circumferential Arranged handrails 14 are also driven by the escalator drive 22, wherein the representation of the transmission line between the handrails 14, 15, the step band 5 and the escalator drive 22 was omitted for the sake of clarity.

The side wall 38 is provided with an access door 39 so that access to the platform 32 is only possible when it is located in the corresponding access areas. The elevator 30 is controlled by an elevator control 40 which is arranged on the side wall 38 of the platform 32 in the present exemplary embodiment. If a user wants to use the platform 32, he can enter a user command on one of the two consoles 41, which is passed on to the elevator control 40. This controls the elevator 30 so that the platform 32 is driven to the correct access area 2, 3 and the access door 39 allows access. The user can then step onto the platform 32, with feedback being given by at least one sensor or by a further input from the user to the elevator control 40 that the platform 32 is now ready for travel. This now controls the elevator drive 33, so that the platform 32 moves into the other access area 2, 3 and when it arrives there, the access door 39 is released again for the purpose of leaving the platform 32.

In other words, if, for example, a user command is entered at the console 41 in the access area 2 of the level E1, the platform moves to the level E1. Once there, the access door 39 opens and the user can enter the platform 32. When the user is inside side wall 38, access door 39 closes and platform 32 descends to level E2. As soon as the platform 32 has reached its final position in level E2, the access door 39 opens again and allows the user to enter level E2. So that nobody can fall down from level E2 to level E1, an access barrier 43 must be provided in level E2, which only opens when platform 32 is in the end position of level E2. The double arrow 44 indicates that the access barrier 43 can move horizontally. Of course, a vertically displaceable access barrier 43 can also be used.

If necessary, additional information about the user can be queried on the console 41, so that only authorized users such as disabled or infirm persons, persons with prams or shopping trolleys or persons who are afraid of escalators can access platform 32.

As already mentioned, shows figure 2 a three-dimensional representation of the structure 6 in the figure 1 shown escalator 1. The supporting structure 6 is designed as a truss structure. This comprises upper chords 25, lower chords 29, diagonal struts 28 and uprights 26 welded together to form truss girders. Two support brackets 21 are arranged on the end face of the structure 6, via which the entire structure 6 is supported at one end in the plane E1 and at the other end in the plane E2 of the structure 100. Accordingly, the components of the escalator 1 and the elevator 30 (see Fig figure 1 ) also supported by the two support brackets 21. On one side of the structure 6 are in the sloping area 4 on the uprights 26 also the attachment points 20 for components of the elevator 30; specifically for the guide rails 31 of the elevator 30 arranged.

The advantageous embodiment of the structure 6 with attachment points 20 makes it possible for the escalator 1 as in the figure 1 shown to be connected to an elevator 30 and thereby to use the support structure 6 of the escalator 1 as a support structure for the attached elevator components. The elevator 30 thus belonging to the escalator 1 is arranged between the same levels E1, E2 of the building 100 as the escalator 1, so that users or goods can be transported with the platform 32 of the elevator 30 parallel to the step band 5.

Das zweite Ausführungsbeispiel unterscheidet sich vom ersten im Wesentlichen durch die andere Ausgestaltung des Aufzuges 50 und dessen Anordnung am Tragwerk 6 der Fahrtreppe 1. figure 3 shows a three-dimensional representation of an escalator 1 with components of an elevator 50 arranged at attachment points 60 of the escalator supporting structure 6 according to a second exemplary embodiment. Since escalator 1 is essentially identical to escalator 1 in figure 1 illustrated first embodiment, a detailed description thereof is omitted. The second exemplary embodiment differs from the first essentially in the different configuration of the elevator 50 and its arrangement on the support structure 6 of the escalator 1.

The elevator 50 includes a platform 52 designed as an elevator car, which is movably guided on vertical guide rails 51 . The platform 52 has cabin walls 53, a cabin roof 54 and two cabin doors 55, 56 located opposite one another.

The guide rails 51 are attached to the attachment points 60 and extend between the two levels E1, E2 of the structure 100. In the present exemplary embodiment, the attachment points 60 are arranged in the access area 3 of the second level E2. In addition, the guide rails 51 can also be supported or even fastened to the floor of the first level E1.

Of course, the guide rails 51 could also be arranged in the access area 2 of the first level E1 and extend vertically to the second level E2.

The elevator 50 also has a counterweight 57, which is guided in an interior space 68 of the escalator 1, delimited by cladding panels 67, by means of counterweight rails (not shown). Between the counterweight 57 and the platform 52, which is designed as a cabin, there is a suspension means 58, for example a wire cable or a lift belt. The support means 58 is guided over a traction sheave 59 and is driven by this when the counterweight 57, the support means 58 and the platform 52 move. The traction sheave 59 is connected to the escalator drive 22 via a controllable coupling gear 61 .

Barriers 71, 62 with access barriers 63 are provided so that no persons can enter the area of movement of the platform 52. These are only examples; instead of the barriers 71, 62, for example, a shaft made of glass panels and instead of the access barriers 63, shaft doors can be provided in the shaft in order to ensure better protection. Furthermore, the barriers 71, 62 and access barriers 63 can be part of an access control system 70 together with the consoles 41. For this purpose, the console 41 contains at least one recording device for recording user data and correspondingly controls the access barriers 63, which serve as a blocking device. As a result, access to the platform 32, 52 can be blocked or released by the blocking device depending on the user data recorded.

As in the first embodiment of the figure 1 are also in the embodiment of figure 3 two consoles 41 are provided. The consoles 41 are used to record user commands, which can be forwarded to an escalator controller 64 . In the present exemplary embodiment, the escalator controller 64 controls the operation of the escalator 1 on the one hand and the operation of the elevator 50 on the other by also controlling the controllable coupling gear 61 .

Of course, a large number of safety devices such as sensors, brakes and the like can be provided for the escalator 1 and the elevator 50 in order to ensure smooth and safe operation. For reasons of clarity, however, these are not included in the figure 1 still in the figure 3 shown.

Although the figures 1 and 3 show differently configured elevators 30, 50, it is obvious that the different characteristics can be combined with one another or assemblies can be exchanged. A counterweight and a support means can also be provided in the first exemplary embodiment. In addition, in the second exemplary embodiment, the elevator can have its own elevator drive and its own elevator control.

Finally, it should be noted that terms such as "comprising," "comprising," etc. do not exclude other elements or steps, and terms such as "a" or "an" do not exclude a plurality. Furthermore, it should be pointed out that features or steps that have been described with reference to one of the above exemplary embodiments can also be used in combination with other features or steps of other exemplary embodiments described above. Any reference signs in the claims should not be construed as limiting.
