The side water fold area 30 has, as in FIGS Figures 1 and 2 shown, a water fold groove 31 and a water fold web 32, which extend from the head area 10 to the foot area 20 laterally over the entire length of the roofing element 1. It is also possible to form several water rebate grooves 31 and one or more water rebate webs 32 in order to increase the rainproofness of the roofing element 1.

The side cover fold area 40 has, as in FIGS Figures 1 and 2 a cover rebate groove 41 and a cover rebate web 42, which extend laterally over the entire length of the roofing element 1 from the head region 10 to the foot region 20. It is also possible to form a plurality of cover rebate grooves 41 with one or more cover rebate webs 42 in order to increase the rainproofness of the roof cover element 1.

The side rebate areas 20 and 30 are designed such that when laid as a roof covering 80, the side rebate area 40, which is formed on the underside of the roof covering element 1, is the side rebate area 40, which is formed on the underside of the roof covering element 1, the side waterfold area 30, which is on the top of the Roof covering element 1 is formed, overlaps.

The roofing element 1 has, as in Figures 1 and 2 shown, a jagged structure with zigzag valleys 3 and peaks 4. These depressions 3 and 4 elevations are over the entire Roofing element 1 in the center field 50 is designed to be periodically recurring and determine both the configuration on the upper side of the roofing element 1 and on the underside of the roofing element 1. The jagged structure repeats itself periodically. As a result of the jagged structure and its depressions 3 on the upper side of the roof covering element 1, the supporting webs 2 on the underside of the roof covering element 1 are formed into a tapering supporting surface 5. The support webs 2 are in the Figures 1 and 2 designed to be complementary to the structure of the central field 50. Thus, the roofing element 1 has the same material thickness over its entire width. This is advantageous because it ensures that the blank dries evenly.

The jagged structure of the roofing element 1 can be achieved by forming the roofing element 1 in the extrusion process. The extrusion direction runs from the head area 10 in the direction of the foot area 20. As a result, the support webs 2 are formed in one piece in the roof covering element 1 by the extrusion process. It is also possible to machine the support webs 2 according to the extrusion process in order to preferably have a flat support surface 5 (in the Figures 1 and 2 not shown) to train. Furthermore, the water fold groove 31, the water fold web 32, the cover fold groove 41 and the cover fold web 42 are formed in the course of the extrusion process. It is also possible to form the grooves and ridges by reworking the blank or the fired blank.

In the Figures 3 two roofing elements 1 and a first fastening element 60 and a second fastening element 70 are shown. The roof covering elements 1 are arranged together as a roof covering 80, with the foot section 20 of the upper roof covering element 1 resting here on the head section 10 of the lower roof covering element 1.

As in the Figures 3 shown, the first fastening element 60 is designed as a load-bearing profile element and serves as a weight support or as a weight support and locking bearing for the roof covering elements 1. The first fastening element 60, hereinafter referred to as profile element 60, has a base body, a protruding portion 61 and a receiving section 62. The main body in the Figures 3 consists of a rectangular hollow profile with a cross section and the receiving section 62, which is arranged reinforced by means of a strut. The protruding section 61 is formed on the upper side of the rectangular hollow profile. It is also possible for the profile element 60 to have only a rectangular hollow profile as a base body, with both the protruding section 61 and the receiving section 62 then being arranged on its upper side (see FIG Figures 4 and 5 ). The two sections 61 and 62 are in the embodiment of the Figures 3 Formed over the entire length of the profile element 60, but can preferably also be formed only in sections. The protruding portion 61 is in the Figures 3 designed as a nose extending in the direction of the roof covering element 1. The receiving section 62 is designed as a groove.

Like in the Figure 3a shown, the profile element 60 interacts with the head portion-side fastening area 11 of the roofing element 1, wherein the protruding portion 12 of the roofing element 1 engages in the receiving section 62 of the profile element 60. The protruding section 61 of the profile element 60 engages in the receiving section 13 of the roof covering element 1. The respective protruding sections are designed to be complementary to the respective corresponding receiving section in order to enable the engagement.

As in the Figures 3 As shown, the second fastening element 70 is designed as a locking connection element 70 which is used to fasten the roofing element 1. The second fastening element 70, which is called connecting element 70 in the following, has a fastening section 71 for fastening to the roofing element 1, and an anchoring section 72 for engaging a load-bearing profile element 60 a V-shaped base body on top and, viewed from the side, an L-shaped base body. Two arcuate holders are formed in the fastening section 71.

Like in the Figure 3a As shown, the connection element 70 interacts with its fastening section 71 with the fastening area 21 of the roof covering element 1 on the foot section side. The arched brackets in the fastening section 71 engage in the grooves 22 on the underside of the roof covering element 1. As a result of the V-shaped design of the connecting element 70, the arcuate brackets snap into the grooves 22. Furthermore, the connecting element 70 cooperates with its anchoring section 72 with the profile element 70, on which a further roofing element 1 adjoining the roofing element 1 is supported. To do this, the Anchoring section 72, the profile element 60 and thereby prevents the foot region 20 of the roofing element 1 from being lifted up on a supporting profile element 60 on which a further roofing element 1 adjoining the roofing element 1 is supported, and / or on a roof substructure on which the supporting profile element is supported.
