In the known from practice roof insulation panels of the type mentioned often results in the problem that in the installed state between adjacent roof insulation unwanted openings or gaps are present. These openings or gaps affect the thermal insulation and the air or wind-tightness of the provided with the roof insulation panels roof surface. The unwanted openings and gaps are mainly due to the fact that the roof insulation panels often can not be installed or aligned sufficiently accurately before being fastened to the roof battens. An inaccurate attachment of the roof insulation panels may mean that the roof tiles can not be sufficiently functionally reliable and accurately applied.

In contrast, the invention, the technical problem underlying a roof insulation board of the type mentioned above, with a precise and reliable installation is possible and with the disadvantages set out above are effectively avoided.

By this is meant that this form-fitting web over more than 50% of the length of the second overlap section extends, preferably over more than 70% of the length of this second overlap section.

The erfindüngsgemäßen roof insulation panels are particularly suitable for a steep roof insulation. In principle, however, the use of the roof insulation panels according to the invention is not limited to certain roof types. The roof insulation panels according to the invention expediently have profiles for the support or for the attachment of roof tiles on their upper side.

According to a very preferred embodiment of the invention, the roof insulation panel made of polystyrene, expediently of foamed polystyrene. If the roof insulation panel is made of foamed polystyrene effect in the manufacture of the tongue and groove connection of form-fitting web and Formschlussnut elastic restoring forces in the plastic a particularly effective positive engagement between said elements.

It is within the scope of the invention that the overlapping section with the form-locking groove and the overlapping section with the form-fitting web each have a smaller thickness than the total thickness of the roof insulation board. If two overlapping sections of two adjacent plates are brought to overlap and thereby the positive connection of form-fitting web and form-fitting groove is produced, the two overlapping sections preferably complement each other to the total thickness of the roof insulation board. Conveniently, an overlap portion has half the thickness or about half the thickness of the invention The roof insulating board. The overlapping sections are components of the roof insulation board and are expediently made of the material of the plate.

It is within the scope of the invention that the form-fitting groove tapers with respect to its width b over its length and it is further within the scope of the invention that the form-fitting web tapers with respect to its width b over its length. Conveniently, there is a continuous taper in width.

According to the invention, the form-fitting groove tapers and the form-fitting web tapers towards the ridge side of the plate. First side of the plate means the side of the plate, which is oriented in the laid state to the ridge. Conveniently, the width of the form-fitting groove and the width of the form-fitting web are reduced continuously from the eaves side to the ridge side of the roof insulation panel according to the invention.

According to a very preferred embodiment, which is of very particular importance in the context of the invention, the form-fitting groove has on both side flanks over its length extending undercuts as interlocking elements and has the form-fitting web corresponding complementary form-fitting elements. The complementary form-locking elements of the form-fitting web in the assembled state of the roof insulation panels form-fit in the undercuts. This preferred embodiment with undercuts is characterized by a particularly effective and firm connection between the roof insulation panels.

It is within the scope of the invention that a roof insulation panel according to the invention also has an overlapping section on its ridge side and on its eaves side. In this case, the roof insulation panel may be designed so that it overlaps with its eaves-side overlap portion a ridge-side overlap portion of an adjacent roof insulation panel.

The invention is based on the finding that due to the inventive design of the lateral overlap sections a very effective and firm connection of roof insulation panels in the installed state is feasible. Disturbing openings and gaps between the roof insulation panels can be easily avoided. In that regard, a provided with the roof insulation panels according to the invention roof surface is characterized by excellent thermal insulation and by airtightness and windproofness. Due to the tongue-and-groove connection according to the invention of form-fitting groove and form-fitting web, there is also an optimum connection technique for the roof insulation panels, which makes possible a very reliable and precise laying of the roof insulation panels. But this also ensures that an exact and reliable application of roof tiles can follow. With the mutually joined roof insulation panels according to the invention a solid continuous surface is realized, are virtually excluded in the unwanted displacements of the roof insulation panels due to the solid tongue and groove connection. Moreover, the roof insulation board is also characterized with regard to their production by low cost and cost-effectiveness.

Over the majority of the length l1 of the first overlap section 4, a form-fitting groove 5 extends. Preferably and in the exemplary embodiment (FIG. FIG. 1 ), the width b of the form-locking groove 5 tapers over the length of the form-fitting groove 5. The width b tapers in the embodiment and according to a preferred embodiment of the invention to the ridge side 6 of the roof insulation board.

On the second opposite side of the plate, a second overlapping section 7 extending over the majority of the side length L2 is arranged. Over the majority of the length l 2 of the second overlapping section 7, a form-fitting web 8 extends. Preferably and in the exemplary embodiment ( FIG. FIG. 1 ), the width b of the form-locking web 8 tapers over the length of the form-fitting web 8 and expediently and in the exemplary embodiment from the eaves side 9 to the first side 6 of the plate.

For the lateral joining together of two roof insulation panels according to the invention, the form-fitting web 8 of a first board is inserted into the form-fitting groove 5 of a second board or vice versa the form-fitting groove 5 of a first board is pushed onto the form-fitting web 8 of a second board. Due to the tapered design of form-fitting groove 5 on the one hand and of form-fitting web 8 on the other hand, a very effective and durable positive connection or tongue and groove connection is obtained. In the installed state of the two plates of the tapered form-locking web 8 engages positively in the also tapered form-fitting groove 5 a. That's on average in FIG. 5 been presented. In FIG. 5 It can also be seen that in the region of the overlapping sections 4, 7 of the two plates connected there, a completely positive connection between the two plates is realized. FIG. 5 further shows that the two overlap sections 4 and 7 in the overlapped state add to the total thickness of the plate.

In particular in FIG. 3 It can be seen that according to a very preferred embodiment of the invention and in the exemplary embodiment, the form-locking groove 5 on both side flanks over the length of the form-locking groove 5 extending undercuts 10 has. Furthermore, in FIG. 3 recognizable that the form-fitting web 8 corresponding complementary form-locking elements 11 has. In the connected state of two adjacent plates, the complementary form-locking elements 11 form-fittingly grip the form-fitting web 8 of the first plate in the undercuts 10 of the form-locking groove 5 of the second plate. With the undercuts 10 and with the Komplementärformschlusselementen 11 a very effective and solid tongue and groove connection is realized. The FIGS. 3, 4 and 5 show that preferably and in the embodiment above the form-fitting web 8, a step 12 is provided. In stage 12, a water discharge channel 13 is arranged according to the preferred embodiment and in the embodiment.

A comparative analysis of the FIGS. 1 and 2 shows that the roof insulation board according to the invention also on its ridge side 6 has a ridge-side overlapping section 14 and on its eaves side 9 a eaves-side overlap section 15. In the installed state of the plates, the eaves-side overlapping section 15 overlaps the ridge-side overlapping section 14 of an adjacent panel.

In FIG. 2 It can be seen that a mounting recess 16 is provided on the underside 2 of the roof insulation board, with which the roof insulation board can be fastened to a roof lath or can be suspended in a roof lath. The mounting recess 16 has an acute-angled mounting rear section 17, with which the roof insulation board can be suspended on a correspondingly shaped roof batten. Due to the attachment by means of the mounting recess 16 are basically no further fastening means, such as nails od. Like. Required. Therefore, disturbing thermal bridges can be effectively avoided when fixing the roof insulation panels.
