Definitions

  • the invention relates to a container closure for a container.
  • a container closure for a container for example a bottle, with a so-called push-pull closure is known.
  • the container closure has a sleeve part that can be attached around a container opening and has a sealing lip and a sliding part that is slidably attached to the sleeve part, with an outflow opening being able to be opened or closed by sliding the sliding part on the sleeve part.
  • a sealing film that can be torn or pierced is attached to the sealing lip, as a result of which an additional space that is tightly separated from the contents of the container is formed in the interior of the casing part facing the sliding part. Furthermore, a displaceable mandrel with a tearing and piercing device is fitted in the cover part, whereby actuation of the mandrel tears open or pierces the sealing foil and a substance that can be introduced into the additional space can thus enter the container, the additional space of the container closure for storing a Substance of liquid or powdery consistency is densely formed.
  • this closure is extremely intricate and complex and cannot be recycled after use. All functional elements such as the connection to the bottle, the mouthpiece and the receiving space with the piercing nail are in a single component. Because of the complicated construction, there is a lot of waste material after the closure has been used.
  • the container closure forms the connection to the container due to the design of the casing part, so that a container closure specially tailored to this must be provided for each design of a container, in particular for each diameter of the container, onto which the container closure is placed or screwed.
  • One from the U.S. 8,960,424 B1 Known dispensing capsule according to the preamble of claim 1, has a cap body with an internal recess, a chamber which removably snaps into the internal recess of the cap body, the chamber containing a flexible actuator and a sealing element sealing a lower part of the chamber, and a hollow piston slidably disposed within the chamber, an upper portion of the hollow piston engaging the flexible actuator of the chamber.
  • the flexible actuator is configured to deform and engage the hollow piston, causing an opposite end of the hollow piston to pierce the sealing member and release a component stored in the chamber.
  • the distal end of the plunger may have a beveled cutting surface.
  • the chamber includes two circumferentially disposed races defining an annular groove, with an annular projection in the internal recess of the cap body removably engaging the annular groove of the chamber.
  • a piercing stamp is attached to a curved membrane and at the end of the chamber opposite the membrane, which is formed by a capsule wall, this chamber is closed by a destructible film.
  • the piercing die is provided with elastic arms, which run inclined, or preferably curved, from top to bottom and from the center to the periphery.
  • the Puncture stamp has a trunk which is open from the membrane and closed at the bottom by an end wall.
  • the elastic arms which are gable-shaped in cross section, are formed on this end wall and a rod-shaped mandrel with a tip is also provided, which first pierces the destructible film when actuated, before the elastic arms with their perforation teeth and cutting edges become effective.
  • the device includes a cap body having an interior passageway, a chamber that removably snaps into the interior passageway of the cap body, the chamber containing a flexible actuator and a sealing member that seals a lower portion of the chamber, and a drinking spout that slidably engages with a upper part of the flexible actuator of the chamber and a hollow piston slidably disposed in the chamber.
  • the hollow piston engages the flexible actuator of the chamber, and the flexible actuator is configured to deform and engage the hollow piston, whereby the hollow piston pierces the frangible sealing element and releases a component stored in the chamber.
  • a resilient seal is located within the flexible actuator and a piercing element in the drinking spout is configured to pierce the resilient seal when the drinking spout is latched down.
  • a drinking channel is required from the chamber to the outlet.
  • the object of the invention is to improve a container closure in such a way that it can be used universally and that the accumulation of waste material is significantly reduced.
  • a container is provided which is provided with an adapter.
  • a capsule with a medium for example a powder
  • a closure means in particular a cover with an integrated mouthpiece, is placed in the adapter.
  • the container closure has an adapter, into which a capsule with the substance is inserted in an exchangeable manner, as well as an actuating element for actuating the capsule, the capsule having a housing that forms the receiving space and in which a piercing nail is arranged, and the housing has two openings, one opening being closed by a sealing film and the second opening being closed by an end area of the puncturing pin, the actuating element being operatively connected to the end area of the puncturing pin closing the second opening of the capsule, and the adapter, the capsule and the actuating element form separate components from one another.
  • the significant reduction in waste material is due to the fact that only the capsule in which the medium is located and the closure of which can be pierced by a spike to get into the container, has to be disposed of after this process.
  • the remaining parts that make up the container closure namely the adapter and the lid with the integrated mouthpiece, as well as the bottle
  • the capsule is preferably designed as a unit capsule (standard capsule) and can interact with all the different adapters and/or different closure means.
  • the capsule, especially the unit capsule has the advantage that it can be collected and recycled. In the ideal case, no more waste material is produced. If, for any reason, it is not possible to recycle the capsule, there is still significantly less waste material than is the case with the prior art.
  • the adapter of the container is a positive fit between the inner geometry of the opening of the container and the outer geometry of the capsule with which it is inserted into the opening. It is also conceivable to design the adapter as an independent part. In this case, on the one hand, it can be adapted to the geometry that is present in the area of the opening of the container, for example a thread geometry or a bayonet. On the other hand, it is adapted to the outer geometry of the capsule, so that the capsule can also be arranged on the adapter in a force-fitting or form-fitting manner and fixed in a sealing manner, for example by means of a screwing process, a type of bayonet.
  • the outer diameter of the capsule is chosen so that it is almost the same size as the inner diameter of the opening of the container.
  • the capsule can be inserted directly into this opening without the need for any adjustment of the diameters.
  • the adapter is not used to adapt different diameters, but rather forms a cover which is arranged on the opening of the container, for example can be screwed on.
  • the actuating element (in particular the piercing nail) is either a component of only the adapter or only of the capsule, or it is formed by a component of the adapter and the capsule. If the actuating element is only part of the capsule, it is protected against accidental actuation by the adapter (same as the cover).
  • the actuating element can only be actuated at will when the adapter has been removed, for example unscrewed, from the opening of the container. It is also conceivable that the actuating element of the capsule can be actuated when the adapter is arranged on the container, in particular screwed on.
  • the Capsule can, but does not have to be releasably fixed by a sealing element, in particular a completely circumferential sealing element, with the opening of the container (more precisely the circumferential edge of the opening of the container) by means of the adapter on the container. In this embodiment, too, it is possible to remove the capsule after it has been emptied and to replace it with a new capsule without having to replace the other elements of the container closure.
  • the adapter thus serves at the same time as a lid, so that the capsule is either fixed in the opening of the container by means of the adapter (and possibly protected against accidental actuation of the actuating element) or the opening of the container can be closed by means of the adapter without a capsule being inserted.
  • the container closure has a cover which is in operative connection with the adapter and in which the mouthpiece and the actuating element, which is movably mounted, are integrated.
  • the container closure is covered with the lid, it being possible for the lid to be connected to the adapter, for example by screwing it on, pressing it on, by means of a folding connection (for example a film hinge) or the like.
  • the mouthpiece can, but need not, be integrated into the lid, i.e. the mouthpiece is an integral part of the lid. This has the advantage that the lid can be manufactured together with the mouthpiece, for example in a plastic injection molding process.
  • the mouthpiece, the actuating element and the piercing nail are arranged on a common axis.
  • a design variant is available to shape the design of the container closure when it is applied to the container.
  • this central arrangement of the mouthpiece in the central vertical axis of the container and thus also of the lid is very well suited for drinking the liquid after the base liquid has been poured into the container and the substance has gotten out of the capsule into the liquid by actuation of the actuating element and has nevertheless mixed.
  • the actuating element which is movably mounted in the mouthpiece, forms a closure of the passage opening.
  • the liquid present in the container can be removed, preferably drunk, via the passage opening in the mouthpiece. Since, as a rule, not the entire volume is removed, the actuating element, which is movably mounted in the mouthpiece, forms a closure of the through-opening. A so-called push-pull closure is thereby implemented. This can be actuated as often as is necessary to remove, in particular to drink, the liquid in the container.
  • the actuating element and the piercing nail are arranged on a common axis and the mouthpiece is arranged on a different axis.
  • the mouthpiece in order to arrange the mouthpiece in a vertical axis which deviates from the axis in which the actuating element and the piercing nail are arranged.
  • the mouthpiece can be arranged on the edge of the lid, whereas the capsule and the actuating element actuating the capsule are arranged concentrically around the central vertical axis of the container and thus also of the lid.
  • the arrangement of the mouthpiece on the edge of the lid i.e.
  • the lid in its outer peripheral area, also has the advantage that the closure for closing or opening the passage opening of the mouthpiece can be actuated independently of the actuating element with which the piercing pin in the capsule is actuated .
  • the ergonomics of the operation of the lid in particular its upper part and significantly improve the removal of the liquid via the mouthpiece.
  • the folding mechanism e.g. a film hinge
  • the actuating element is an integral part of the cover.
  • the cover can be produced very effectively together with the actuating element.
  • a one-piece lid with an actuating element can be manufactured and handled.
  • the actuating element is integrated, for example, into the lid (preferably its upper part, more preferably in the central vertical axis of the lid and thus also of the container or around it), in that the area of the lid that is pressed on to actuate the piercing nail with a thinner walls than the area around it.
  • the actuating element can be produced together with the cover in a two-component plastic injection molding process.
  • the cover and the actuating element are formed from two different plastic materials with different hardnesses.
  • the plastic material of the lid is therefore harder than the material that forms the area that in turn forms the actuating element for the piercing nail of the inserted and exchangeable capsule.
  • a closure element is provided for the through-opening of the mouthpiece.
  • an adapter element to be provided which receives the capsule and which is operatively connected to the adapter.
  • the geometry of the capsule in particular its outer diameter, can advantageously be adapted to the opening of the container and/or (preferably) the inner diameter of the lid, in particular a lower part of the lid, and/or the inner diameter of the adapter by means of the adjustment element.
  • the outer diameter of the capsule is particularly preferably adjusted to the inner diameter of the adapter by means of this adjustment element.
  • the adjustment element has at least one passage opening, preferably a plurality of passage openings.
  • This one through-opening preferably several through-openings, are required when the actuating element for the piercing nail of the capsule and the through-opening of the mouthpiece or the mouthpiece itself are not arranged on the same axis but on different axes.
  • it must be ensured that the capsule is arranged on the adapter and on the lid, possibly with the adjustment element being interposed, and is fixed in its position in the container closure.
  • the capsule is not flowed through at all, for example during a drinking or pouring process.
  • the substance present in the capsule only mixes with the liquid in the container after the sealing foil has been punctured by the puncturing pin (i.e. the capsule has been opened). In the ideal case, both are given, which allows a complete emptying of residues, especially of the inner volume of the capsule.
  • the invention thus generally relates to a closure system for a container, in particular a bottle, with the closure system receiving an adapter, with a unit capsule containing a medium being able to be inserted into the adapter, with the capsule having a closure means, in particular a lid with an integrated mouthpiece, and a spike in the capsule is actuated by means of the closing means, whereby a sealing film arranged on the capsule is pierced by the spike.
  • FIG. 1 shows as container 1 a bottle, for example a plastic bottle. At its upper end there is an opening into which a liquid can be filled. An adapter 2 is also provided in this area. Separately there is a capsule 3 filled with a medium, for example a powder. The medium is one of the capsule 3 and a sealing film, not shown Part of a spike (also called a prick) completely closed. It can only get into the bottle due to a movement of the mandrel (will be explained below). There is also a closure means, for example a cover 4 with or without an integrated mouthpiece 5 .
  • a closure means for example a cover 4 with or without an integrated mouthpiece 5 .
  • the adapter 2 and/or the closure means in the area of the receptacle for the capsule 3 is designed to accommodate a unitary capsule (also referred to as a standard capsule).
  • figure 2 shows in section the elements of figure 1 , which are arranged on the bottle (generally the container 1). It can be seen that the capsule 3 is fixed to the bottle by means of the adapter 2 .
  • the cover 4 with the mouthpiece 5 is placed on this arrangement.
  • the cover 4 with the mouthpiece 5 implements a valve in order to prevent the mandrel from being actuated by the valve before use.
  • an actuating element 6 is shown, which is slidably arranged in and/or around the mouthpiece 5. The actuator 6 acts on the lancing pin within the capsule 3 when it has been actuated (pressed down).
  • FIG 3 shows the function of the container closure according to the invention.
  • the capsule 3 is inserted into the adapter 2.
  • the cover 4 with the mouthpiece 5 (valve) is then put on. This represents the situation before use. If the medium in the capsule 3 is to get into the bottle, the mandrel is linearly displaced by pressing the valve and the sealing foil of the capsule 3 is pierced. The medium can get into the bottle in this way.
  • the medium from the capsule 3 thus gets into the medium in the bottle (for example water) and can mix there.
  • the medium in the capsule 3 flows in the direction of the contents of the bottle in several ways, so that the medium in the capsule 3 completely reaches the bottle and thus the capsule 3 is completely emptied.
  • the liquid in the bottle can be emptied through the adapter 2, the capsule 3 and the mouthpiece 5 via the mouthpiece 5, for example to be drunk.
  • figure 4 shows other applications. It is conceivable that with the valve inserted, the cover 4 is placed on the capsule 3, which has been inserted into the adapter 2, thereby activating the capsule 3 directly, ie the spike is actuated directly and the sealing film is pierced by it. this is in figure 4 , left representation, shown. In figure 4 , right illustration, shows that the bottle-cap system can also be used without a capsule. A coupling element 9 can also be seen. This is arranged, for example, in a ring shape running around the lower end of the actuating element 6 . It can also be designed as a projection or as a plurality of pin-shaped projections.
  • the actuating element 6 acts on the upper end of the piercing nail, which closes an upper opening in the capsule 3 .
  • This upper end area of the piercing nail is designed, for example, in the form of a plate or with a circumferential stepped edge.
  • the at least one projection of the coupling element 9 acts on this end area of the piercing nail.
  • the adapter 2 is used to adapt one and the same capsule 3 (unit capsule) to different bottles by means of the adapter 2. If a bottle with a larger thread is used, for example, only a corresponding adapter 2 has to be used. The remaining components of the system still fit. This is a very big advantage compared to the known container closure, since this is always adapted to a specific thread of the bottle. According to the invention, a unitary capsule, which can be used for all bottles, can be used, with only an adaptation to different container openings and closure systems being carried out by means of the adapter 2.
  • FIG 6 is in contrast to the Figures 1 to 5 another embodiment of the invention is shown.
  • a container 1 onto which an adapter 2 is placed, preferably screwed.
  • the adapter 2 accommodates the capsule 3, with the capsule 3 and the adapter 2 being covered by a cover 4.
  • the cover 4 is brought into an operative connection with the adapter 2, for example again by screwing it on, but pressing it on, locking it in or the like is also conceivable.
  • the lid 4 has the mouthpiece 5 in its upper peripheral edge area.
  • the longitudinal axis of the mouthpiece 5 is thus arranged in an axis deviating from the vertical axis, in particular the central vertical axis, of the container 1 .
  • the actuating element 6 and thus also (not shown) the longitudinal axis of the piercing nail 7 are arranged in an axis deviating from the container 1.
  • the actuating element 6 and thus also (not shown) the longitudinal axis of the piercing nail 7 are arranged in this central vertical axis of the container 1 .
  • the actuating element 6 is part of the cover 4 and can be arranged as a separate component in the cover 4 (for example by being pressed in or latched). Alternatively, it can be manufactured together with the cover 4 in a two-component plastic injection molding process.
  • the sealing film 8 can also be seen again in this exemplary embodiment.
  • the mouthpiece 5 has a separate closure element 10, with which a passage opening 13 of the mouthpiece 5 can be closed or opened in order to be able to remove the contents of the container 1 in the open state and in the closed state to prevent the contents from outside (so-called push-pull principle).
  • a separate closure element 10 with which a passage opening 13 of the mouthpiece 5 can be closed or opened in order to be able to remove the contents of the container 1 in the open state and in the closed state to prevent the contents from outside (so-called push-pull principle).
  • the mouthpiece 5 with its elements can also be designed differently.
  • the centrally arranged capsule 3 becomes symmetrical using an adapter element 11, in particular an annular shape designed element), held in position on the adapter 2, in particular on the upper edge of the adapter 2, and on the cover 4, in particular on a downward-pointing end of a circumferential inner web of the cover 4.
  • the adapter 2, the cover 4 and the adjustment element 11 form independent individual elements that are manufactured separately from one another.
  • a sealing element can optionally be omitted
  • a sealing connection is established between the adjustment element 11, in particular an outward-pointing circumferential web of the adjustment element 11, and the cover 4, in particular a downward-pointing edge of the inner circumferential web of the cover 4 and the top-pointing peripheral edge of the adapter 2.
  • the adapter 2 is unscrewed with its cover 4 and liquid is poured into the container 1 as long as no capsule 3 has been inserted. Only when the liquid has been filled into the container 1 is the adapter 2 screwed onto the upper edge of the opening of the container 1, the capsule 3 inserted and fixed in its position by means of the cover 4.
  • the cover 4 is divided into two.
  • the lower part of the cover 4 is operatively connected to the adapter 2, whereas the upper part of the cover 4 can be opened and closed about a hinge 13.
  • the actuating element 6 is protected against unintentional actuation.
  • the closure element 10 of the mouthpiece 5 is fixed in its position. The closure element 10 can therefore only be actuated and the passage opening 14 thus released when the upper part of the cover 4 has been opened.
  • the sealing foil 8 has been pierced by means of the piercing nail 7, after the actuating element 6 has been actuated, in particular pressed, that the substance in the capsule 3 mixes with the liquid (or a comparable Substances), which is in the container 1, mixed.
  • the mixed liquid can only get out via the through-openings 12 in the adapter element 11 (and optionally further through-openings in the adapter 2 and/or the cover 4) and the through-opening 13 in the mouthpiece 5 and can be removed, in particular drunk.
  • a targeted flow through the interior of the capsule 3 to remove the liquid in the container 1 does not take place in this particular embodiment.
