Claims (14)

  1. A printing device (200) for printing a sheet-like substrate (300), having a drum (202A, 202B) which can be driven in rotation about a drum longitudinal axis (204) and on the lateral surface (206) of which at least one sheet-like substrate (300) can be fixed, at least in certain regions by means of at least one gripper (208) for fixing the sheet-like substrate (300) to a first substrate region (302) and by means of a suction air provided by a suction air region (210) of the drum (202A, 202B) for fixing the sheet-like substrate (300) to a second substrate region (304), and with a printing facility (250A, 250B) arranged radially with respect to the drum (202A, 202B), wherein the at least one gripper (208) is mounted on a mounting rod (212) extending parallel to the longitudinal axis (204) of the drum, the mounting rod (212) being adjustable by means of a lever (214) between a first pivoted position in which the at least one gripper (208) is in an open position and a second pivoted position in which the at least one gripper (208) is in a closed position characterized in that

  3. The printing device (200) according to claim 2, wherein a second printing facility (250B) is arranged radially with respect to the second drum (202B).
  4. The printing device (200) according to claim 2 or 3, wherein the at least one gripper (208) of the mounting rod (212) of the first drum (202A) is arranged offset with respect to the at least one gripper (208) of the mounting rod (212) of the second drum (202B).
  5. The printing device (200) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein a plurality of mounting rods (212) with grippers (208) are distributed around the circumference of the drum (202A, 202B) and a number of suction air areas (210) corresponding to the number of mounting rods (212) are provided.
  6. The printing device (200) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the suction air region (210) is arranged only in regions on the lateral surface (206) of the drum (202A, 202B) at a predetermined distance from the at least one gripper (208).
  7. The printing device (200) according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the pivoting support (218) is associated with a roller (222) configured to interact with a cam or a run-up or a guide bar such that the pivoting support (218) is displaced between its raised position and its lowered position.
  8. The printing device (200) according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the drum (202A, 202B) comprises at least one switching device (220) configured to adjust the suction air region (210) only at predetermined angular positions or only within a predetermined range of angular positions of the drum (202A, 202B) between an active configuration providing suction at the lateral surface (206) and an inactive configuration inhibiting suction at the lateral surface (206).

    - gripping the sheet-like substrate (300) at a first substrate region (302) by means of the gripper (208) when the mounting rod (212) is pivoted into the second pivoted position, whereby the at least one gripper (208) is brought into the closed position,
    - further rotating the drum (202A, 202B) and fixing the sheet-like substrate (300) to the lateral surface (206) of the drum (202A, 202B) at a second substrate region (304) by means of the suction air provided by the suction air area (210), and
    - transporting the sheet-like substrate (300) to a printing facility (250A, 250B) by further rotating the drum (202A, 202B) and printing the sheet-like substrate (300) on a first substrate side.
  11. The method according to claim 10, wherein the sheet-like substrate (300) between the first substrate area (302) fixed by the at least one gripper (208) and the second substrate region (304) fixed by the suction air area (210) is spread onto the lateral surface (206) of the drum (202A, 202B) by means of a spreading device (230).
  12. The method according to claim 10 or 11, wherein first the sheet-like substrate (300) is gripped by means of the at least one gripper (208), and wherein subsequently in time the suction air region (210) is adjusted from an inactive configuration preventing the suction power at the lateral surface (206) into an active configuration providing a suction power at the lateral surface (206) for subsequently in time fixing the second substrate region (304).
  13. The method according to any one of claims 10 to 12, wherein the drum (202A) is further rotated after printing on the first substrate side, and wherein the sheet-like substrate (300) is transferred to a second drum (202B) in a transfer gap (216) and printed on a second substrate side by means of a second printing facility (250B).
  14. The method according to any one of claims 10 to 13, wherein the sheet-like substrate (300) is delivered to a sheet deposition device (402) after printing the first substrate side or after printing the second substrate side.
