Definitions
- the invention is directed to a door handle arrangement for a motor vehicle, comprising a handle support, a handle and a drive element, wherein the handle can assume at least one rest position and one handling position, and the handle when installed in a vehicle door is flush with the outside of the vehicle door in the rest position is arranged extending and in the handling position for actuation opposite the outside of the vehicle door is arranged exposed in a deployment direction, wherein a base plate is movably mounted on the handle carrier, which is movable relative to the handle carrier and on which the handle is mounted, the drive element with the Base plate is coupled in motion and in normal operation the base plate is designed to move from a basic position in which the handle is arranged in its rest position into a standby position in which the handle is arranged in its handling position, and wherein the handle is designed to be movable from the rest position to an emergency operating position in which a first section of the handle is arranged to be moved counter to the deployment direction and a second section of the handle is arranged so as to be set apart from the outside of
- Such door handle assemblies for a motor vehicle can be designed as an inside or outside handle, the present invention relating to a door handle assembly for an outside handle.
- the inventive design of a door handle relates to those constructions in which the handle support is attached to the rear of the vehicle door, ie on the inside of the motor vehicle.
- the handle attached to the handle support usually protrudes from the vehicle door in such embodiments and disrupts both the aesthetic impression of the motor vehicle and the vehicle aerodynamics.
- door handle assemblies are known from the prior art in which the outside of the handle in its rest position, in which it is not needed, runs approximately flush with the outer contour of the vehicle door, that is, flush with the beam. To open the vehicle door, such a handle can be transferred into a handling position in which the handle protrudes with respect to the outer contour of the vehicle door.
- a door handle assembly of the type indicated is, for example, from WO 2015/074020 A1 known, and also from the WO 2016/200743 A1 , the WO 2016/151131 A1 and the WO 2008/129003 A2
- Door handle arrangements are known in which a base plate is movably mounted on the handle carrier, which base plate is movable relative to the handle carrier and on which the handle is mounted.
- a door handle system with a door handle is known which has parallel guidance kinematics, by means of which the door handle can be displaced in parallel between a rest position and a functional position.
- a comparable door handle arrangement for electric cars from Tesla Motors Inc. and from DE 10 2013 212 198 A1 known.
- This known door handle arrangement has a handle which is arranged flush with the beam in its rest position and which can be moved from the rest position into a handling position in a motor-driven manner.
- Such a handle is preferably used in electric cars in which the handle is only moved from its flush rest position, in which the handle is arranged to reduce the air resistance, with a power-operated drive Handling position extends when a legitimate operator approaches the motor vehicle. As soon as the handle is no longer needed, it returns to the rest position and thus disappears into the body so as not to generate any air resistance.
- the disadvantage is that the door handle arrangement has a complex structure for the extension mechanism and an associated, large installation depth.
- the invention is based on the object of creating a solution which provides an improved door handle arrangement for a motor vehicle in a structurally simple manner, the door handle arrangement having a space-saving structure with a small installation depth and nevertheless enabling comfortable operation.
- the handle has an outer handle shell and a main handle lever, a first longitudinal end of the outer handle shell being pivotably mounted on a first longitudinal end of the main handle lever, the main handle lever being pivotable with its first longitudinal end on the base plate is stored, and wherein in the emergency operating position of the handle, the first longitudinal end of the handle outer shell is arranged moved against the deployment direction and the first longitudinal end of the handle outer shell is arranged moved relative to the first longitudinal end of the main handle lever (17).
- the current-operated normal operation represents an operating mode in which the drive element then moves the handle from the rest position into the handling position when an authorized operator approaches the motor vehicle with his ID transmitter. In the handling position, the authorized operator can then reach behind the handle and pull it to open the motor vehicle door. The movement of the base plate during the deployment movement of the handle is directed in the deployment direction.
- the invention provides a door handle arrangement for a motor vehicle which is characterized by a simple construction with a small installation depth.
- a characteristic of the invention is the small number of components that are required to move the handle out of the rest position into the handling position. Because for the deployment of the handle in the handling position, only the base plate on which the handle is mounted is provided. According to the invention, the handle is arranged in its rest position when the base plate is arranged in its basic position. If the base plate is moved from the basic position into the standby position by a movement in the deployment direction, the handle mounted on the base plate moves with the base plate and reaches its handling position without the handle moving relative to the base plate. The handle is consequently mounted on the base plate, which advantageously increases the stability of the handle.
- the invention provides, in an advantageous embodiment, that the handle is arranged immovable on the base plate when the base plate moves from the basic position into the standby position, the base plate being designed to move the handle from the rest position into the handling position.
- the base plate consequently represents the only component which is used to display the handle in the handling position, so that an operator can reach behind the handle in the handling position and operate it to open the vehicle door.
- the handle is mounted on the base plate so as to be movable relative to the base plate, a first longitudinal end of the Handle is pivotably mounted on the base plate, whereas a second longitudinal end of the handle is designed to be pivotable in the deployment direction by an operator and is connected to a vehicle door opening means. It is consequently a handle which an operator has to pull to open the vehicle door in normal operation, in which the handle is electrically issued by the drive element, the handle then assuming an inclined position oriented transversely to the handle carrier.
- the invention provides that the handle from the rest position into an emergency operating position , in which a first section of the handle is arranged to be moved counter to the deployment direction and a second section of the handle is arranged so as to be extended in the deployment direction relative to the outside of the vehicle door, is designed to be movable.
- a first section of the handle is arranged to be moved counter to the deployment direction and a second section of the handle is arranged so as to be extended in the deployment direction relative to the outside of the vehicle door, is designed to be movable.
- Another section of the handle preferably a section of the other longitudinal end of the handle, is displayed opposite the vehicle door and can be reached from behind by an operator to manually move the handle as a whole into the handling position, from where that on the handle to open the Vehicle door can be pulled.
- the invention further provides that the handle has an outer handle shell and a main handle lever, a first longitudinal end of the outer handle shell being pivotably mounted on a first longitudinal end of the main handle lever, the Main handle lever is pivotably mounted with its first longitudinal end on the base plate, and wherein in the emergency operating position of the handle the first longitudinal end of the outer handle shell is arranged to be moved against the deployment direction and the first longitudinal end of the outer handle shell is arranged to be moved relative to the first longitudinal end of the main handle lever.
- the main handle lever is coupled to the vehicle opening means so that the connection of the outer handle shell and the main handle lever ensures decoupling in such a way that, in the event of a currentless emergency operation, only the outer handle shell is pivoted into the emergency operating position.
- the main handle lever coupled to the vehicle opening means remains unmoved, so that there is no risk of the vehicle opening means being accidentally triggered when moving into the emergency operating position.
- the invention provides in an embodiment that a latching recess is formed at the second longitudinal end of the handle outer shell, with a Relative movement between the handle outer shell and the main handle lever blocking safety lever with a latching hook is pivotally mounted on the main handle lever, and in the handling position of the handle, the latching hook is in engagement with the latching recess. This ensures that the outer handle shell and the handle lever pivot together in normal operation when an operator pulls the handle to open the vehicle door.
- a structurally particularly favorable possibility is that a moving web is formed on the handle carrier and that in the rest position of the handle is out of engagement with the latching recess
- Safety lever is pivotably mounted on the main handle lever about an axis, the movement web being designed to pivot the safety lever during the movement of the handle from the rest position into the handling position of the handle and to bring the latching hook into engagement with the latching recess in the handling position of the handle.
- the drive element rotates a drive axle and the base plate is movably supported between the basic position and the standby position via at least one rotary joint on the handle support, the at least one rotary joint being non-rotatably connected to the drive axle.
- the base plate it is of course also conceivable for the base plate to be movably mounted at each of its two longitudinal ends via a respective rotary joint on the handle carrier, it being sufficient if one of the two rotary joints is drive-connected to the drive element and is driven by the drive element.
- the rotary joint has the advantage that the opening movement of the handle is precisely defined and limited by the movement of the base plate.
- the at least one rotary joint is lever-shaped and a first lever end of the rotary joint is rotatably connected to the base plate and a second lever end of the rotary joint is both non-rotatably connected to the drive shaft and rotatably mounted on the handle carrier.
- This dual function of the drive lever (rotatable bearing on the Handle carrier and non-rotatable connection with the drive axle) the lever rotates around the axle on which it is driven at the same time, which reduces the installation space requirement.
- the invention provides that the base plate is movably guided along at least one guide rod running transversely to the handle carrier between the basic position and the standby position.
- the base plate can also have a guide rod at each of its two longitudinal ends, so that the base plate is held in a stable manner and is guided safely.
- the invention provides in a related embodiment that the drive element is coupled for movement with a drive lever rotatably mounted about a lever axis on the handle carrier, the drive lever at its free end having a drive pin which is in this way within a transverse to the opening direction and in The elongated hole formed on the base plate is arranged so that the drive element moves the drive pin via the drive lever within the elongated hole and the drive pin pushes the base plate into its ready position. In this way, a type of guide slot is formed, through which the base plate is pushed into its ready position.
- the invention provides in an embodiment that the drive element drives a coupling lever rotatable about an axis of rotation in normal operation, with a free end of the coupling lever being designed with a coupling pin which when the handle is moved from the Rest position in the handling position rests on the drive lever and rotates it about its lever axis.
- a stop element could be implemented on the at least one guide rod.
- the coupling pin is arranged in the standby position of the base plate in a pin receptacle formed on the drive lever, with a movement of the base plate beyond the standby position in the deployment direction being blocked when the coupling pin is arranged in the pin receptacle.
- the invention provides, according to yet another embodiment, that the drive element drives a toothed belt and the base plate is movably mounted on the handle carrier between the home position and the ready position via at least one spindle element, the at least one spindle element having a is rotatably connected by the toothed belt driven toothed belt pulley.
- the drive element drives a toothed belt
- the base plate is movably mounted on the handle carrier between the home position and the ready position via at least one spindle element, the at least one spindle element having a is rotatably connected by the toothed belt driven toothed belt pulley.
- the invention provides that the toothed belt pulley is rotatably mounted on the handle carrier and the at least one spindle element cooperates with a spindle nut attached to the base plate in a rotationally fixed manner.
- the invention provides that a spindle nut is attached non-rotatably to each longitudinal end of the base plate and cooperates with an associated spindle element which is non-rotatably connected to a toothed belt pulley rotatably mounted on the handle carrier. In this way it is ensured that both longitudinal ends of the base plate are moved uniformly and evenly, so that the handle is moved linearly transversely to the handle carrier into the handling position.
- a motor vehicle 1 in the form of a car is shown as an example, which in the example has four vehicle doors 2 (two of which are from Figure 1 can be seen), which can be opened via a respective door handle assembly 3 and in particular with the aid of a handle 4 of the door handle assembly 3.
- the vehicle doors 2 are firmly closed by means of a respective door lock 5 and can only be opened from the outside by means of a respective movement of the handle 4.
- This movement on the handle 4 consists of a pulling movement, the corresponding movement of the handle 4 via a Vehicle door opening means 6, which in the present case is a Bowden cable system, is transferred to the corresponding lock 5.
- the associated vehicle door 2 can then be opened by the corresponding movement of the handle 4.
- the door handle arrangement 3 is designed in such a way that manual opening of the vehicle door 2 is also possible by actuating the handle 4 by an operator.
- the Figure 2 shows a perspective view of one of the vehicle doors 2 and the handle 4 used to open the vehicle door 2 Figure 2 the handle 4 - when the door handle arrangement 3 is installed in the vehicle door 2 - is arranged approximately flush with the outside 7 of the vehicle door 2, ie flush with the beam or flush with the surface. In this position, the handle 4 is in a rest position in which it is not needed. From the in Figure 2 The handle 4 is in a position of rest shown in FIG Figure 3 The handling position shown can be transferred, in which it protrudes from the outside 7 of the vehicle door 2. Accordingly, the handle 4 is arranged protruding from the vehicle door 2 in its handling position.
- the handle 4 is transferred from the rest position to the handling position in a power-operated normal operation by means of a drive element 8 (see, for example Figures 13 and 24 ).
- a drive element 8 see, for example Figures 13 and 24 .
- proximity sensors or other sensors can be provided in order to bring the handle 4 from the flush or flush rest position into the standby position as soon as an operator approaches the vehicle door handle 3 or the handle 4.
- proximity sensors known from the prior art can be built into the handle 4 Detection of an authorized operator or ID transmitter sending a signal to a vehicle control device, whereby the drive element 8 is put into operation and ensures that the handle 4 is displayed in the handling position.
- the handle In a currentless emergency operation, for example in the event of a failure of the vehicle electronics or vehicle supply, the handle can be moved manually from the rest position by an operator to an in Figure 4 The emergency operating position shown can be moved. In the emergency operating position, a first section 4a of the handle 4 is arranged pressed inwardly into the outside 7 of the vehicle door 2, whereas a second section 4b of the handle 4 is arranged so as to be exposed from the vehicle door 2.
- the handle 4 can be arranged in its emergency operating position by an operator pushing the first section 4a of the handle 4 inward with respect to the vehicle door 2, so that the second section 4b of the handle 4 is arranged to be exposed and from the operator can be reached from behind in order to transfer the handle 4 into its handling position, in which the vehicle door 2 can then be opened by pulling on the handle 4.
- the door handle assembly 3 is shown in FIG Figure 5 shown in a perspective rear view.
- the door handle arrangement 3 comprises the handle 4 and a handle carrier 9, which can be attached to a vehicle door 2 on the inside.
- the handle carrier supports or carries the remaining components of the door handle arrangement 3, with components also being attachable to the handle carrier 9.
- the drive element 8 can be attached to the handle support 9 or to the vehicle door 2 or in the area of the vehicle door 2.
- the handle support 9 can be seen behind the outside 7 of the vehicle door.
- a base plate 10 is mounted on the handle carrier 9, which is movable relative to the handle carrier 9 and on which the handle 4 is mounted.
- the Figures 6 and 7 show quasi-transparent Views of the door handle assembly 3, wherein in Figure 6 the base plate 10 is arranged in a basic position and at the same time the handle 4 mounted on the base plate 10 is arranged in its rest position, whereas in FIG Figure 7 the base plate 10 is arranged in a ready position and at the same time the handle 4 mounted on the base plate 10 is arranged in its handling position.
- the handle 4 is arranged immovable on the base plate 10 when the base plate 10 is moved from the basic position into the standby position. Consequently, when the base plate 10 is moved from the basic position into the standby position, the handle 4 is also moved without the handle 4 moving relative to the base plate 10.
- the base plate 10 is designed to move the handle 4 from the rest position into the handling position, which will be discussed in detail below.
- the movement of the base plate 10 and the handle 4 takes place in a direction transverse to the handle carrier 9 deployment direction 14, which consists of the Figures 6 and 7 for example can be seen.
- the base plate 10 is moved into its ready position, so that the handle 4 is arranged in its handling position.
- an operator can pull the handle 4 to open the vehicle door 2, so that the handle 4 is pivoted relative to the base plate 10, as shown in FIG Figure 9 is shown.
- the vehicle door opening means 6 designed as a Bowden cable is actuated, so that the vehicle door 2 can be opened by pivoting. Consequently, the handle 4 is mounted on the base plate 10 so as to be movable relative to the base plate 10. More precisely, a first longitudinal end 11 of the handle 4 is pivotably mounted on the base plate 10, whereas a second longitudinal end 12 of the handle 4 can be pivoted in the deployment direction 14 by an operator is formed and is coupled to the vehicle door opening means 6.
- the handle 4 comprises an outer handle shell 16, which can be grasped from behind by an operator and on which the operator pulls to operate or open the vehicle door 2, and a main handle lever 17.
- the outer handle shell 16 and the main handle lever 17 are connected to one another, wherein the main handle lever 17 is also rotatably connected to the base plate 10 via the pivot axis 15.
- a spring element ensures that the handle 4 is returned to its handling position (see FIG Figure 8 ) when the handle 4 is pulled to open the vehicle door 2 (see Figure 9 ).
- a first longitudinal end 16a of the outer handle shell 16 is pivotably mounted on a first longitudinal end 17a of the main handle lever 17 via a coupling axis 18, the main handle lever 17 being pivotably mounted with its first longitudinal end 17a on the base plate 10 via the pivot axis 15.
- a spring element 19 wound around the coupling axis 18 holds the outer handle shell 16 in the in the Figures 8 to 11 position shown.
- the reason for the two-part design of the handle 4 is to be found in the fact that the door handle arrangement 3 is equipped with an emergency actuation property for a currentless emergency operation, that is to say for a case when the drive element 8 cannot be energized in order to move the handle 4 from the rest position into the handling position. In such an emergency operation, the operator still has the option of manually moving the handle 4 into the handling position in order to open the vehicle door 2.
- the operator must apply a force acting against the opening direction 14 at the first longitudinal end 16a of the outer handle shell 16 and press the outer handle shell 16 at its first longitudinal end 16a in the direction of the handle carrier 2 or against the extension direction 14, whereby the outer handle shell 16 against the force of the Spring element 19 is pivoted about the coupling axis 18, which is shown in Figure 13 is indicated by way of example.
- the handle 4 is arranged in an emergency operating position, which is characterized in that the first longitudinal end 16a of the outer handle shell 16 is arranged to be moved against the deployment direction 14 and the first longitudinal end 16a of the outer handle shell 16 is arranged to be moved relative to the first longitudinal end 17a of the main handle lever 17.
- the handle 4 is consequently designed to be movable from the rest position into the emergency operating position, in which a first section 4a of the handle 4 is arranged to be moved counter to the deployment direction 14 and a second section 4b of the handle 4 is arranged to be exposed opposite the outside 7 of the vehicle door 2 in the deployment direction 14 is.
- the relative pivoting of the outer handle shell 16 and the main handle lever 17 about the coupling axis 18 results in the longitudinal end of the outer handle shell 16 facing away from the first longitudinal end 16a being pivoted out in the deployment direction and pivoted away from the longitudinal end of the main handle lever 17 facing away from the first longitudinal end 17a, as shown in FIG also from Figure 4 can be seen.
- the pivoting movement of the spring-loaded Bowden cable driver 20 is caused by the pivoting movement of the handle 4 at its second longitudinal end 12 in that a pin 23, which is movably mounted in an elongated hole 22 and is fixedly fixed to the main handle lever 17, pivots the Bowden cable driver 20 when the main handle lever 17 is pivoted , whereby the vehicle opening means 6 is pulled in the direction of the second longitudinal end 12 of the handle 4.
- a safety mechanism is provided in order to prevent a relative pivoting of the outer handle shell 16 and the main handle lever 17 in order to actuate the handle 4 during the door opening process. This safety mechanism is described below with reference to the Figures 11 to 16 described.
- the securing mechanism comprises a latching recess 24, which is formed at a second longitudinal end 16b of the outer handle shell 16, and a securing lever 25 pivotably mounted on the main handle lever 17, which has a latching hook 25a and which is designed to block a relative movement between the outer handle shell 16 and the main handle lever 17.
- the securing lever 25 is pivotably mounted about an axis 27 fixed on the main handle lever 17 and is urged by a spring element 26 into a position in which the latching hook 25a is in engagement with the latching recess 24, as shown, for example, in FIG Figure 16 is shown.
- a lever arm 25b of the securing lever 25 applied to the latching hook 25a rests against a movement web 28, the force of the spring element 26 permanently urging the lever arm 25b against the movement web 28.
- the moving web 28 is formed on the handle carrier 9, so that when the base plate 10 moves, the lever arm 25b moves along the moving web 25.
- the lever arm 25b has reached a position in which it rests against a slope 28a of the moving web 25.
- the bevel 28a is designed to point away from the first longitudinal end 16a of the outer handle shell 16. With further movement of the base plate 10, the incline 28a enables the lever arm 25b to rotate about the axis 27, the lever arm 25b still resting on the incline 28a of the movement web 28.
- FIG Figure 16 the base plate 10 is arranged in its ready position and the handle 4 is arranged in its handling position, the latching hook 25a of the securing lever 25 engaging the latching recess 24. Because the latching hook 25a engages with the latching recess 24 a movement of the handle shell 16 relative to the main handle lever 17 is blocked, so that in the handling position of the handle 4 a movement into the emergency operating position is prevented.
- the moving web 28 is integrally formed on the handle carrier 9 and the securing lever 25, which is disengaged from the latching recess 24 in the rest position of the handle 4, is mounted on the main handle lever 17 such that it can pivot about the axis 27, the moving web 28 supporting the securing lever 25 During the movement of the handle 4 from the rest position into the handling position of the handle 4 pivoting about the axis 27 and in the handling position of the handle 4 the latching hook 25a is designed to engage the latching recess 24.
- the Figures 17 to 20 show a first embodiment in which the drive element 8 is fastened to the handle carrier 9 and drives a drive shaft 29 to rotate.
- the drive axle 29 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a rotary joint 30.
- the rotary joint 30 itself is rotatably mounted on the handle carrier 9 and is rotatably connected to a first longitudinal end 10a of the base plate 10. In this way, the base plate 10 is mounted on the handle carrier 9 via the rotary joint 30 so that it can be moved between the basic position and the standby position.
- a second longitudinal end 10b of the base plate 10 this is rotatably connected to the handle carrier 9 via a further rotary joint 30, the axis 31 of the second rotary joint 30 not being driven, but only the drive axis 29 being driven by the drive element 8 around the base plate 10 from the in Figure 14 the basic position shown to move out towards the ready position.
- a single rotary joint 30 can be sufficient, the two rotary joints 30 used in the first embodiment ensuring very good stability and precise guidance of the base plate 10 and thus the handle 4.
- the rotary joints 30 are each lever-shaped.

Such door handle assemblies for a motor vehicle can be designed as an inside or outside handle, the present invention relating to a door handle assembly for an outside handle. There are a variety of different designs and embodiments for such door handle assemblies. The inventive design of a door handle relates to those constructions in which the handle support is attached to the rear of the vehicle door, ie on the inside of the motor vehicle. The handle attached to the handle support usually protrudes from the vehicle door in such embodiments and disrupts both the aesthetic impression of the motor vehicle and the vehicle aerodynamics. In order to avoid these disadvantages, door handle assemblies are known from the prior art in which the outside of the handle in its rest position, in which it is not needed, runs approximately flush with the outer contour of the vehicle door, that is, flush with the beam. To open the vehicle door, such a handle can be transferred into a handling position in which the handle protrudes with respect to the outer contour of the vehicle door.

The invention is based on the object of creating a solution which provides an improved door handle arrangement for a motor vehicle in a structurally simple manner, the door handle arrangement having a space-saving structure with a small installation depth and nevertheless enabling comfortable operation.
In a door handle arrangement of the type described at the outset, the object is achieved according to the invention in that the handle has an outer handle shell and a main handle lever, a first longitudinal end of the outer handle shell being pivotably mounted on a first longitudinal end of the main handle lever, the main handle lever being pivotable with its first longitudinal end on the base plate is stored, and wherein in the emergency operating position of the handle, the first longitudinal end of the handle outer shell is arranged moved against the deployment direction and the first longitudinal end of the handle outer shell is arranged moved relative to the first longitudinal end of the main handle lever (17). In the sense of the invention, the current-operated normal operation represents an operating mode in which the drive element then moves the handle from the rest position into the handling position when an authorized operator approaches the motor vehicle with his ID transmitter. In the handling position, the authorized operator can then reach behind the handle and pull it to open the motor vehicle door. The movement of the base plate during the deployment movement of the handle is directed in the deployment direction.
Advantageous and expedient configurations and developments of the invention emerge from the subclaims.
The invention provides a door handle arrangement for a motor vehicle which is characterized by a simple construction with a small installation depth. A characteristic of the invention is the small number of components that are required to move the handle out of the rest position into the handling position.
The invention provides, in an advantageous embodiment, that the handle is arranged immovable on the base plate when the base plate moves from the basic position into the standby position, the base plate being designed to move the handle from the rest position into the handling position. The base plate consequently represents the only component which is used to display the handle in the handling position, so that an operator can reach behind the handle in the handling position and operate it to open the vehicle door.
In an embodiment of the invention it is further provided that the handle is mounted on the base plate so as to be movable relative to the base plate, a first longitudinal end of the Handle is pivotably mounted on the base plate, whereas a second longitudinal end of the handle is designed to be pivotable in the deployment direction by an operator and is connected to a vehicle door opening means. It is consequently a handle which an operator has to pull to open the vehicle door in normal operation, in which the handle is electrically issued by the drive element, the handle then assuming an inclined position oriented transversely to the handle carrier.
So that the door handle arrangement can be handled to open the vehicle door even in an emergency in which the power supply is interrupted or failed and the handle is not moved electrically into the exposed handling position, the invention provides that the handle from the rest position into an emergency operating position , in which a first section of the handle is arranged to be moved counter to the deployment direction and a second section of the handle is arranged so as to be extended in the deployment direction relative to the outside of the vehicle door, is designed to be movable. As a result of the pivotable mounting, it is consequently possible to press the handle on a section, preferably at a longitudinal end, counter to the deployment direction in the direction of the handle carrier, so that this section disappears within the body. Another section of the handle, preferably a section of the other longitudinal end of the handle, is displayed opposite the vehicle door and can be reached from behind by an operator to manually move the handle as a whole into the handling position, from where that on the handle to open the Vehicle door can be pulled.
To move the handle into the emergency operating position, the invention further provides that the handle has an outer handle shell and a main handle lever, a first longitudinal end of the outer handle shell being pivotably mounted on a first longitudinal end of the main handle lever, the Main handle lever is pivotably mounted with its first longitudinal end on the base plate, and wherein in the emergency operating position of the handle the first longitudinal end of the outer handle shell is arranged to be moved against the deployment direction and the first longitudinal end of the outer handle shell is arranged to be moved relative to the first longitudinal end of the main handle lever. The main handle lever is coupled to the vehicle opening means so that the connection of the outer handle shell and the main handle lever ensures decoupling in such a way that, in the event of a currentless emergency operation, only the outer handle shell is pivoted into the emergency operating position. The main handle lever coupled to the vehicle opening means remains unmoved, so that there is no risk of the vehicle opening means being accidentally triggered when moving into the emergency operating position.
So that the handle outer shell is not pivoted relative to the main handle lever in normal operation when the operator pulls the handle to open the vehicle door, the invention provides in an embodiment that a latching recess is formed at the second longitudinal end of the handle outer shell, with a Relative movement between the handle outer shell and the main handle lever blocking safety lever with a latching hook is pivotally mounted on the main handle lever, and in the handling position of the handle, the latching hook is in engagement with the latching recess. This ensures that the outer handle shell and the handle lever pivot together in normal operation when an operator pulls the handle to open the vehicle door.
In order to bring the latching hook of the safety lever into engagement with the latching recess, a structurally particularly favorable possibility is that a moving web is formed on the handle carrier and that in the rest position of the handle is out of engagement with the latching recess Safety lever is pivotably mounted on the main handle lever about an axis, the movement web being designed to pivot the safety lever during the movement of the handle from the rest position into the handling position of the handle and to bring the latching hook into engagement with the latching recess in the handling position of the handle.
According to one embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the drive element rotates a drive axle and the base plate is movably supported between the basic position and the standby position via at least one rotary joint on the handle support, the at least one rotary joint being non-rotatably connected to the drive axle. It is of course also conceivable for the base plate to be movably mounted at each of its two longitudinal ends via a respective rotary joint on the handle carrier, it being sufficient if one of the two rotary joints is drive-connected to the drive element and is driven by the drive element. The rotary joint has the advantage that the opening movement of the handle is precisely defined and limited by the movement of the base plate. Pulling on the handle cannot expose the handle beyond its handling position, because the base plate can only be moved in the deployment direction as far as the rotary joint allows. Furthermore, only a pulling movement for opening the vehicle door is possible, the handle being pivoted with respect to the base plate, but the base plate itself not being moved.
Accordingly, it is provided in an embodiment of the invention that the at least one rotary joint is lever-shaped and a first lever end of the rotary joint is rotatably connected to the base plate and a second lever end of the rotary joint is both non-rotatably connected to the drive shaft and rotatably mounted on the handle carrier. This dual function of the drive lever (rotatable bearing on the Handle carrier and non-rotatable connection with the drive axle) the lever rotates around the axle on which it is driven at the same time, which reduces the installation space requirement.
In another embodiment, the invention provides that the base plate is movably guided along at least one guide rod running transversely to the handle carrier between the basic position and the standby position. Of course, the base plate can also have a guide rod at each of its two longitudinal ends, so that the base plate is held in a stable manner and is guided safely.
According to the other embodiment, the invention provides in a related embodiment that the drive element is coupled for movement with a drive lever rotatably mounted about a lever axis on the handle carrier, the drive lever at its free end having a drive pin which is in this way within a transverse to the opening direction and in The elongated hole formed on the base plate is arranged so that the drive element moves the drive pin via the drive lever within the elongated hole and the drive pin pushes the base plate into its ready position. In this way, a type of guide slot is formed, through which the base plate is pushed into its ready position.
In order to realize the movement of the base plate in the deployment direction, the invention provides in an embodiment that the drive element drives a coupling lever rotatable about an axis of rotation in normal operation, with a free end of the coupling lever being designed with a coupling pin which when the handle is moved from the Rest position in the handling position rests on the drive lever and rotates it about its lever axis.
In order to further block the movement of the base plate in the deployment direction, a stop element could be implemented on the at least one guide rod. Alternative to a stop element The invention provides that the coupling pin is arranged in the standby position of the base plate in a pin receptacle formed on the drive lever, with a movement of the base plate beyond the standby position in the deployment direction being blocked when the coupling pin is arranged in the pin receptacle.
To move the base plate into its ready position, the invention provides, according to yet another embodiment, that the drive element drives a toothed belt and the base plate is movably mounted on the handle carrier between the home position and the ready position via at least one spindle element, the at least one spindle element having a is rotatably connected by the toothed belt driven toothed belt pulley. In this way, a very exact positioning of the base plate in its ready position and thus the handle in its handling position can be realized.
In an embodiment of the still further embodiment, the invention provides that the toothed belt pulley is rotatably mounted on the handle carrier and the at least one spindle element cooperates with a spindle nut attached to the base plate in a rotationally fixed manner.
Various embodiments are described below which are directed to the movement of the

In summary, a
