Definitions

  • the invention relates to a ground milling machine.
  • a generic ground milling machine comprises a machine frame, driving devices connected to the machine frame, such as chain drives or wheels, a drive motor, typically a diesel engine, a control station from which the ground milling machine is operated, and a ground milling device comprising a milling drum and a milling drum box surrounding it.
  • the milling drum box has height-adjustable side shields arranged transversely to the axis of rotation of the milling drum, with an external side shield essentially flush with an outside, also referred to in the present case as the zero side, of the machine frame and an internal side shield being offset from an opposite outside in the direction of the longitudinal center of the machine, for example for connecting a drive gear for the milling drum.
  • the inner side plate is therefore not flush with the outside of the ground milling machine opposite the zero side.
  • Such a generic ground milling machine is, for example, from the patent publications DE 10 2012 021 379 A1 known.
  • Soil milling machines are usually used to mill the ground.
  • Road milling machines of the road milling type are specifically used, for example, for milling road surfaces during road repair work.
  • the milling drum is immersed in the ground and rotates over the ground to be removed and mills off the ground material to a desired milling depth.
  • the milling drum is arranged in the milling drum box, which is open towards the ground, for controlled material guidance. This can be rigidly attached to the machine frame or relatively movable to the machine frame.
  • the milling drum box thus represents an enclosure for the milling drum that is open towards the ground, and in order to adapt to different milling depths it includes, among other things, the side shields, which are arranged opposite one another on both sides along the axis of rotation of the milling drum.
  • the height position of the side shields can be adjusted relative to the milling drum, for example via hydraulic cylinders or similar devices, or can be guided over the ground in a floating state.
  • the basic structure and functionality of such side shields is, for example, in DE 10 2011 147 710 A1 stated, which is hereby incorporated by reference.
  • a major challenge when using such ground milling machines is precisely guiding the machine over the ground to be milled.
  • the driver of the ground milling machine usually orients himself on the outside or the zero side of the ground milling machine. This zero side is located where the front of the milling drum is essentially flush with the machine frame. Specifically, the external side shield is present at this point.
  • the driver of the ground milling machine can then, for example, mill along markings applied to the ground, such as paint markings, curbs, etc.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide a possibility of facilitating the guidance of the ground milling machine during internal milling in a ground milling machine of the generic type.
  • the basic idea of the invention is that a viewing shaft is present in such a way that the inside side shield and/or the floor area located in front of the inside side shield in the working direction is at least partially visible from the control station.
  • the viewing shaft thus runs through an interior area of the ground milling machine.
  • the design of the machine frame and the arrangement of the other machine components is thus carried out in such a way that a clearance forming the viewing shaft is obtained through the machine from the control station in the direction of the inner side shield, via which the view from the control station of at least part of the inner side shield and / or of the floor area in front of the inside side plate in the working direction is possible.
  • the viewing shaft is therefore a viewing channel through which the driver can see the inner side shield and/or the floor area in front of the tip of the side shield in the working direction.
  • the working direction refers to the direction in which the ground milling machine moves during milling. This usually corresponds to the forward direction of the milling machine.
  • the viewing shaft thus extends from the control station into an area arranged above the inside side shield and/or over the floor area lying in front of the inside side shield in the working direction.
  • the viewing shaft has a shaft entrance, a shaft area and a shaft exit in the viewing direction of a driver on the control stand.
  • the shaft area therefore refers to the interior area of the viewing shaft between the shaft entrance and the shaft exit.
  • the viewing shaft runs at least along a line of sight of the driver, who is in the usual operating position on the control stand, onto the inner side plate that was previously hidden in the prior art or the floor area in front of this side plate. This provides the driver with the opportunity to use the internal side plate to precisely maneuver the ground milling machine, in particular along an internal milling edge and/or an internal reference.
  • the viewing shaft runs essentially straight in the vertical direction downwards, in particular in relation to its central shaft axis.
  • the central shaft axis refers to a connecting straight line that connects the centers of the horizontal contours of the viewing shaft at different vertical heights.
  • the walls delimiting the viewing shaft do not necessarily have to be flat, but they can. Also included in particular are those embodiments in which, for example, the viewing shaft is at least partially delimited by other machine elements when viewed in the horizontal plane.
  • the viewing shaft in such a way that it runs obliquely downwards in the vertical direction and forwards in the working direction, in particular in relation to its central shaft axis.
  • Such an arrangement is particularly advantageous and useful if the view from the operator's cab is to be made possible to an area of the inner side plate, which is in front of the usual operating position of the driver in the operator's cab in the working direction.
  • the viewing shaft is designed in such a way that, for example, the tip area of the side plate at the front in the working direction is visible from the control station.
  • the viewing shaft extends over the entire length of the side plate in the working direction of the ground milling machine. This means that the driver of the ground milling machine can observe the position of the internal side plate in relation to the ground particularly well.
  • the viewing shaft is also dimensioned such that it is possible to view a floor area lying in front of the front edge of the inner side shield from the operator's stand in the working direction.
  • the specific dimensioning of the viewing shaft can in principle be made dependent on the current structural conditions on the ground milling machine. However, it has proven to be optimal if the viewing shaft is relatively narrow and extends in the horizontal plane with its longitudinal axis in the working direction. It is preferred if the ratio of the horizontal extension of the viewing shaft transverse to the working direction to the horizontal extension of the viewing shaft in the working direction is in the range from 1:4 to 1:15, in particular in the range from 1:5 to 1:10. The extension of the viewing shaft transverse to the working direction and the extension of the viewing shaft in the working direction are measured in a virtual horizontal reference plane. What is also important is the average extent, so that here too it is not a matter of a straight wall course or a constant distance between the opposing shaft walls over the respective extent.
  • the viewing shaft When viewed in a horizontal plane, the viewing shaft is preferably surrounded on all four sides, in particular by parts of the machine frame. This enables a particularly compact design of the viewing shaft while maintaining a high level of machine stability.
  • At least one cross strut is present which spans the viewing shaft transversely to the longitudinal direction of the ground milling machine.
  • a cross strut therefore refers to a web-like connecting part, which in particular connects the opposite long sides of the viewing shaft to one another.
  • the cross struts are also preferably kept relatively narrow in relation to the total extent of the viewing shaft, so that the visual impairment of the view through the viewing shaft associated with the cross struts is negligible.
  • the viewing shaft preferably opens into a viewing opening in the driver's cab floor of the driver's cab. This means that the shaft entrance is located in the control station floor. This makes it possible for the driver on the control stand to have a particularly good look down into the viewing shaft.
  • the cab floor refers to the part of the cab on which the driver usually stands.
  • the viewing shaft has a protective cover.
  • the protective cover it is possible to at least partially cover the viewing shaft, especially in the area of the shaft entrance, and in this way, for example, to achieve protection against diarrhea and/or protection against dust and noise.
  • the protective cover can be a protective grille that covers the viewing shaft.
  • the protective cover can comprise a transparent protective pane, in particular made of a scratch-resistant plastic.
  • the advantage of this development is that, for example, dust and noise generated in the area of the milling device are passed on to the control station can be avoided in the area of the viewing shaft.
  • the protective cover is preferably flush with the floor of the control station in order to reduce the risk of tripping.
  • the protective cover to comprise a flap that is adjustable between a covering position that covers the viewing shaft and a release position that allows the view through the viewing shaft.
  • the driver has the choice, for example, whether he would prefer to have a closed driver's cab floor or the visibility created by the viewing shaft according to the invention.
  • a flap can be adjustable between the two positions mentioned, for example via a swivel joint or a sliding guide.
  • the viewing shaft can generally be installed where there is optimal visibility of the inside side shield from the driver on the control stand. Ideally, the viewing shaft is arranged in the middle third in relation to the width of the ground milling machine.
  • the width of the ground milling machine is determined from the maximum distance between the two opposite outer sides of the ground milling machine that extend in the horizontal plane in the working direction.
  • the viewing shaft is now preferably located next to this control point.
  • the control station often includes a driver's seat so that the driver can at least optionally operate the ground milling machine from a sitting position during work.
  • the viewing shaft is particularly preferably arranged next to the driver's seat when viewed in the working direction of the ground milling machine, so that the driver can lean from a seated operating position to the inside of the machine during work and look into the viewing shaft. It is therefore particularly preferred if the viewing shaft, viewed in the horizontal plane, runs between the control point, in particular the driver's seat, and a control panel.
  • the viewing shaft is dimensioned in such a way that it allows the view from the control stand to a floor area in front of a front tip of the inner side shield. The driver can then see through the viewing shaft the area that has not yet been driven over by the ground milling device and thus control the machine more precisely.
  • the viewing shaft is transverse to the Seen in the working direction, it lies between a climb, especially in the rear part of the ground milling machine, and a rear scraper guide.
  • the scraper guide is used to adjust a scraper shield arranged behind the milling drum in the working direction when adjusting the height.
  • Such tail rotor milling machines are characterized in that the milling device is arranged in the rear area of the ground milling machine, in particular between the two rear driving devices. It is also ideal if the control station is arranged above the ground milling device when viewed in the vertical direction. Then the dimensions of the viewing shaft can be kept relatively small.
  • a laterally external frame recess through which a floor area lying in front of the ground milling device in the working direction, in particular on the side of the flush with the machine room final side shield, which can be seen from the control station.
  • This recess which is open laterally towards the zero side, can also be used to accommodate a driving device that can be adjusted between a swing-out position and a swing-in position, such as in the DE 196 31 042 A1 described.
  • an illumination device is present is designed in such a way that it illuminates the relevant areas of the internal side plate and/or the floor area present in front of and/or next to the internal side plate. This provides additional illumination to this area underneath the machine, significantly improving visibility for the driver.
  • a lighting device can be, for example, an LED device.
  • the ground milling machine 1 includes driving devices 3, for example chain drives or wheels, a drive motor 4, specifically a diesel engine, a ground milling device 5 and a control station 10.
  • the driving devices 3 are connected to the machine frame 2, for example via lifting columns, so that the Machine frame 2 is height adjustable relative to the ground.
  • the drive energy required to operate the ground milling machine is made available via the drive motor 4.
  • the floor milling machine 1 is operated during work by a driver located on the control station 10.
  • the ground milling machine 1 shown is specifically a so-called tail rotor milling machine, in which the ground milling device 5 is arranged below the control station 10 in the rear area of the ground milling machine 1.
  • the ground is milled using the ground milling device 5.
  • this includes a milling drum 7 arranged in the milling drum box 6, which is usually a support tube with a large number of milling tools arranged on its outer surface.
  • the milling drum 7 is arranged to be rotatable within the milling drum box 6 about a rotation axis R that runs horizontally and transversely to the working direction A.
  • the working direction A denotes the direction of movement of the ground milling machine 5 in the milling process. In the present case this corresponds to the forward direction.
  • the milling drum box 6 comprises height-adjustable side shields 8, specifically an external side shield 8A ( Figure 1A ) and an internal side shield 8I ( Figure 2 ).
  • the side shields are essentially plate-shaped elements that extend in the vertical direction and in the working direction A.
  • FIG. 1B shows the ground milling machine Fig. 1A in a greatly simplified top view, in order to clarify in particular the relative position of the two side shields 8A and 8I, the control station 10 and the viewing shaft 9.
  • the ground milling device 5 is offset eccentrically relative to the width B of the ground milling machine transversely to the working direction A in such a way that the ground milling device 5 is essentially flush with the outside of the machine frame 2 on one side, the so-called zero side N, and is offset on the opposite side towards the longitudinal center M of the machine width.
  • the external side plate 8A is therefore essentially at the level of the outside of the ground milling machine 1 and the internal side plate 8I is not.
  • the driver located on the control stand 10 usually orients himself on markings on the ground and compares these with reference points on the floor milling machine 1.
  • a particularly popular reference point is the external side plate 8A, which the driver can clearly see from the control station 10 due to the arrangement of this side plate, which is essentially flush with the outside of the machine frame 2. This is possible if milling is carried out on the zero side, i.e. the resulting milling edge runs on the zero side.
  • milling is carried out on the inside or the driver guides the ground milling machine 1 along an internal milling edge on the side plate 8I, he previously had to look for a corresponding marking across the entire machine in working direction A towards the front or the markings on the ground surface had to be moved from the inside to the zero side. additionally transmitted.
  • the ground milling machine 1 has a viewing shaft 9, which provides a visual connection or a viewing channel from the control station 10 to the inner side plate 8I.
  • a viewing shaft 9 which provides a visual connection or a viewing channel from the control station 10 to the inner side plate 8I.
  • the interior of the ground milling machine 1 in the specific area passes through a viewing shaft 9, in particular a substantially continuous opening, through which the driver can specifically look at the inner side plate 8I and/or in particular a floor area lying in front of the side plate 8I.
  • the internal side plate 8I clarifies that the viewing shaft 9 is preferably arranged in the vertical direction above the inner side plate 8I and extends in the working direction A essentially over the entire longitudinal extent of the side plate.
  • Figure 2 concerns a top view of approximately the rear half of the ground milling machine 1 in the working direction Figures 1A and 1B .
  • the viewing shaft 9 is present Embodiment embedded in the control stand floor 13 and thus closes with its entrance opening 12 flush with the surface of the control stand floor 13.
  • the contour of the viewing shaft 9 is essentially rectangular in the horizontal plane, the viewing shaft having a length L in the horizontal plane in the working direction A, which is significantly larger than the extension Q of the viewing shaft 9 transversely to the working direction A.
  • the viewing shaft 9 thus extends from Driver's stand floor 13 so far down in the vertical direction that the internal side plate 8I of the milling drum box 6 can be seen through it from the driver's stand.
  • the driver who is usually in the driver's seat 14, which represents the usual control point of the control station 10, can thus look through the viewing shaft 9 onto the side plate 8I and an area of the ground in front of the side plate 8I and thus also use the side plate 8I as a reference Direct the ground milling machine 1 in the milling process.
  • the viewing shaft 9 is thus located horizontally and transversely to the working direction A between a rear riser 15, via which the driver can get from the ground into the control station 10, and a rear wiper guide 16, which guides a rear wiper shield of the milling drum box 6 serves in a known manner.
  • the viewing shaft 9 also runs between the driver's seat and a control panel 20. This arrangement is also essential. The driver can thus lean from the driver's seat 14 towards the control panel 20 over the viewing shaft 9 and can therefore assume a comparatively comfortable posture even for longer work intervals in which he looks down through the viewing shaft 9.
  • the viewing shaft is covered at the top by an optional protective cover 19.
  • This can be, for example, a protective grille or a protective pane.
  • the flap-like protective cover is ideally adjustable between a covering position and a release position, so that either the shaft entrance 12 of the viewing shaft is covered by the protective cover or not.
  • the frame design of the ground milling machine 1 further includes a zero-side frame recess 17, which, on the one hand, serves to selectively accommodate a driving device 3 which can be pivoted in front of the ground milling device 5 in the working direction.
