Definitions

  • the invention relates to a feeding device for livestock, comprising: a conveyor with a plurality arranged along the conveyor, accessible from above for the livestock receiving areas for a feed, a feed feeder for supplying feed to the receiving areas, a guide device for guiding the conveyor along a predetermined path ,
  • Feeding devices of this type are used to promote feed on the one hand starting from a feed supply device, on the other hand to make the livestock accessible on this conveyor along the guide device.
  • Such feeding devices therefore have the particular advantage that, by the combination of promotion and accessibility, they make the feed available to livestock along a large distance and are consequently suitable for carrying out a simultaneous feeding of a plurality of livestock.
  • conveyor chains which may be formed as link chains or the like, with particular effective for the promotion surfaces on the individual chain links.
  • Such conveyor chains are then guided on the one hand along a predetermined path, on the other hand also moved along the path for the purpose of conveying action.
  • spiral conveyors such as coil springs, augers or the like can be used, which also require a guide for exact positioning, but then for the conveying effect can be rotated about an axis extending along the track to thereby a fferrous- effect to exercise the feed.
  • this type of conveying device can also be stationary and effect the conveying effect by rotation about its own longitudinal axis, but according to the invention must also be designed to be flexible enough for a deflection.
  • Conveyor spirals of this kind could alternatively be moved along the track to achieve the conveying effect, in which case the rotation of the conveyor spiral or screw can be dispensed with.
  • Feeding devices of this type are preferably used for feeding poultry such as hens or roosters and may then preferably extend along a residence area of the livestock to promote the feed along the entire extension range and make it accessible to the livestock.
  • Feeding devices of this type often have the disadvantage that they are subject to restrictions as regards their laying along areas of residence of the livestock and thus can not or can not be used well for a number of configurations of such areas.
  • the feed rate of the feed is a disadvantage that makes it difficult to adequately and efficiently provide the livestock with feed.
  • the discharge speed can be increased by increasing the conveying speed of the conveyor, but by the then fast moving conveyor livestock the removal of the feed difficult and increases the risk of injury.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to provide a feeding device, which is improved over these disadvantages.
  • a feeding device of the type mentioned in which the guide device is designed to the conveyor direction in a first web portion of the predetermined web parallel and in a horizontal direction adjacent to a second web portion of the predetermined web, wherein the conveyor is guided in the first web portion in a first conveying direction, which is opposite to a second conveying direction, in which the conveyor is guided in the second path section.
  • a feeding device in which the conveying device is guided in opposite directions to one another in two horizontally mutually adjacent track sections.
  • the conveyor preferably runs in the first and second track section at the same height, but can also be offset in height from one another.
  • a more compact structure and progression of the conveying device is achieved than in previously known feeding devices with such conveying devices in which the conveying device is guided in a, for example, rectangular trajectory in a spaced, but not adjacent position.
  • the livestock animals are allowed to remove the feed from the conveyors in both the first and the second lane sections, resulting in better accessibility to the livestock feed.

  • the conveyor is preferably composed of a plurality of identically formed chain links, which are coupled in such a way that the conveyor can be on the one hand lead, on the other hand allows a deflection such that the conveyor can be deflected from the first track section in the second track section.
  • the feed supply direction can be shown in particular in a feed line or a feed container.
  • the feed feed direction may preferably feed the feed by separate conveyors or by gravity, in particular This can be done from the top of the feed chain, whereby other forms of feed supply, for example, carried by feeding the feed from below in a traversed by the conveyor area or from the side in an area passing through the conveyor.
  • the feed supply direction may be designed for a continuous or periodic feed supply.
  • the guide device may comprise in a simple embodiment, steering means for the conveyor, which are spaced apart and are arranged, for example, at two deflection points, between which the conveyor extends by appropriate voltage along its course.
  • the guide device may further comprise suitable rails, guide elements, guide rollers or the like, which are located along the path of the conveyor or in individual sections along this course.

  • the specific arrangement and the course of the conveyor in two mutually horizontally adjacent track sections makes it possible to apply the feed to the conveyor in the first and second track section with a single feed feeder, thereby increasing the volume rate at which the feed can be applied , increased, so in a shorter Period as previously known, a specific volume of feed can be introduced into the feeding device.
  • a further advantage of this preferred embodiment is that the distance along which the feed must be distributed starting from the feed direction is shortened, whereby the effect of losing or removing feed along that line feeds the feed to one further spaced location no longer arrives in the desired amount, is reduced or avoided.
