Definitions
- the invention relates to a multi-bottle container according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- Multi-bottle containers are spreading on the beverage market, which are usually formed from cardboard packaging, possibly also from plastic films, and are designed to hold four, six, eight and possibly also ten or twelve bottles.
- Multi-bottle containers are most commonly used to hold six bottles, which are commonly referred to as six-packs. Such six-packs or corresponding multi-bottle containers are often also transported by conventional bottle crates, which are generally equipped both for the reception of multi-bottle containers and for the setting of individual bottles.
- Bottle crates for accommodating multi-bottle containers are generally designed with quills inside, which protrude from the bottom of the crate and are arranged in the middle between four adjacent parking spaces.
- the quills serve to hold the set bottles and, in the case of the transport of containers, immerse the quills into openings in the bottom of the container and engage between four neighboring bottles.
- at least two openings in particular with a diamond-shaped cross-section and thus adapted to the quills, are arranged one behind the other in the axis of symmetry of the base, that is to say in the central region of the base.
- three diamond-shaped ones arranged in series and in the case of four packs only one opening is arranged centrally in the bottom of the container.
- the crates When carrying bottle crates of this type, the crates are generally held laterally and thus in an inclined position, which can have the consequence that the containers, which are only supported by the quill, can also fall out of the bottle crate during transport if handled improperly. This would result in the bottles breaking.
- a major disadvantage of today's quill boxes is the noise level up to the breaking of the bottles.
- the bottle diameters are pressed together by the cardboard composite and the bottle composite is fixed as a unit.
- the empty bottles are placed individually and loosely in the spaces between the quills and are not fixed.
- the bellies of the empty bottles hit each other unprotected between the quills.
- the constant beating of the bottles can even lead to breakage.
- bottle crates have been created which, instead of the quill provided centrally between four adjacent parking spaces, have support members to the side of the bottle storage spaces of a bottle crate, which either limit the storage spaces or bottle receiving compartments for the adjustment of the bottles between themselves or with adjacent side walls of the crate .
- support members in the case of six-packs
- support members in particular if they are designed as arcuate support members, results in that in the bottle receiving compartments or on the Parking spaces set bottles are kept at a distance from each other, so that annoying rattling noises can be avoided during the transport of these crates.
- the object of the invention is to provide appropriate containers, in particular six-packs and the like, which are easily equipped for stable and noise-free adjustment in such bottle crates.
- the bottom of a multi-bottle pack is designed such that when the pack is set in bottle crates, support members can be immersed in the lateral areas of each bottle storage location in such a pack, i.e. the support members no longer grip into areas that are present in the middle between four adjacent parking spaces or bottle-holding compartments of such a container, but off-center, namely on the sides of the parking spaces.
- openings are provided in the bottom of these areas, in particular in the form of elongated slots, which are designed for immersing such support members.
- the elongated slots are located on the sides of the parking spaces in the case of six packs, three slots arranged one behind the other in the middle of the base and in the longitudinal direction of the container, as well as two transverse rows, each with two complementary transverse slots, so that in the case of six packs there are preferably a total of seven openings in the form of elongated slots.
- the openings provided in the transverse direction are formed so that there is a gap between the longitudinally spaced slots and thus outside the center between four adjacent parking spaces.
- the bottom of the container is preferably provided in the center in the longitudinal direction of the container with a number of elongated first slots corresponding to the number (n) of pairs of bottle compartments and with complementary second slots, which are arranged in a plurality of parallel ones Rows arranged transversely to the bottom longitudinal direction, the number of transverse rows (n-1) being the number (n) of pairs of bottle compartments.
- the slits running in the transverse direction are arranged at a lateral distance from the slits running in the longitudinal direction of the container and at a gap between these first slits.
- the slots delimiting four receiving compartments are arranged in a cross shape.
- Containers of this type usually have only two rows with bottle receiving compartments or storage spaces arranged one behind the other, so that a transverse slot is arranged on each side of the longitudinal central axis of the container for each transverse row.
- each storage space of the container is therefore also limited by the outer walls of the container, the inner sides of each storage space of the container are limited by the slot-like openings which are arranged perpendicularly to each other and at a distance from one another in accordance with the facial expressions the flat support members provided on the bottle crate.
- the middle floor area between four adjacent parking spaces of the bundle is free of slits and, if necessary, can be reinforced, which can expediently be done by ribbing, multilayer cardboard formation or a corresponding coating.
- the length and width of the elongated slots which are matched to the support members of the bottle crate, are preferably oval in plan view, the two long sides of the slots advantageously being bulged outwards with a comparatively large radius of curvature.
- the front ends of the slots can be straight or expediently rounded.
- the length of the slots is expediently 1.5 to 4.5 cm.
- the width is advantageously in the range from 0.3 to 2.5 mm.
- opening facial expressions in particular in the form of slot-like openings provided laterally at the parking spaces in the container floor, are of course not precluded by the fact that, if necessary, further openings in different geometries can also be provided, so this is considered expedient.
- the margins for themselves Known opening slots can be provided, which allow partial bottle penetration, in particular in the area of the container base.
- a further alternative advantageous embodiment of the bottom of a multi-bottle packaging which is formed in particular from cardboard, has differently configured opening configurations compared to the opening configurations described above in the form of slots.
- These alternative opening designs are comparable in function and arrangement to those of the slot-like opening designs described above, so that previously made statements also apply to this opening design.
- Each opening formation is formed by two spaced-apart web openings, between which a slot-like opening extends, which preferably connects the two web openings to one another.
- the upper ends of the longitudinal legs are immersed in the web openings spaced apart from one another, a cross member of the support member engaging through the slot-like opening which is provided between the two web openings and in particular the two Bridge openings connects together.
- the web openings are preferably designed to be complementary to the longitudinal legs of the support members which pass through the openings when the packaging is put on.
- these opening configurations are formed as piercing openings, in particular the slot-like opening is formed by corresponding perforations in the bottom of the bottle crate.
- the web openings can also be designed as piercing openings by means of crosswise arranged slots or perforations or radially arranged slots or perforations, which open when the packaging is placed on the web members.
- Fig. 1 shows an inventive presentation of a multi-bottle container or multi-bottle pack, as they are used more and more in the beverage trade for the sale of beverage bottles.
- Such containers are designed to hold four, six, eight and sometimes even ten and twelve bottles, the most common on the market being the so-called six-packs, i.e. containers that hold a total of six bottles, mostly in two rows arranged in parallel three bottles each.
- These containers which are generally known, are mostly made of cardboard, but more and more containers made of plastic films are also entering the market.
- FIG. 3 have the support members 8, which protrude from the box floor 10 upwards, two longitudinal legs 12 and 14 arranged parallel to each other, which are connected at their upper end by an arch-shaped crosspiece 16 and thus form a U-shaped support bracket open towards the bottom .
- Support brackets of this type can also be in V or C shape.
- the support members 8 are arranged on the sides of bottle storage spaces 18, bottle storage spaces such as Fig. 4 shows also be supported laterally by the longitudinal and narrow side walls 20 and 22 of the bottle crate.
- the bottle crate can also be divided into two halves by a part wall 24 arranged in the middle and running parallel to the longitudinal side wall 20, of which two six-packs and thus a total of four six-packs can be accommodated in the present design and arrangement of the support members 8, for example in each box half.
- the support members on which the containers have to be placed when they are placed in the bottle boxes are not formed by quills arranged in the middle between four adjacent bottle insertion places, but rather by flat support members 8, so to speak, each on the sides of the bottle placement places 18 are arranged and in each case stand alone, that is to say are arranged isolated from one another with an intermediate distance from adjacent support members 8.
- the bottom 6 of the in Fig. 1 shown container (4), here exemplarily in the form of a six-pack, designed with a corresponding engagement facial expression, namely with longitudinal openings in the form of longitudinal slots 26 and transverse transverse slots 28, which enable openings for attaching the container to support member mimics, as exemplified based on Figures 3 and 4th are shown.
- FIG. 1 A total of seven slots 26, 28, namely three longitudinal slots 26 aligned in the longitudinal direction of the floor and transverse slots 28 arranged to gap to the spaced longitudinal slots 26, of which one transverse slot is arranged on each side of the row formed by the longitudinal slots 26.
- FIG. 2 This facial expression is also in Fig. 2 shown, with dashed lines indicated in the container from above bottles.
- FIG. 2 As a result of the bottles shown in broken lines, it can be clearly seen that the bottles are arranged at a certain distance from one another. If such a container is put on a bottle crate with the facial expressions according to Figures 3 and 4th inserted, then the support members 8 engage in the longitudinal and transverse slots 26, 28 between the bottles 30 in the container.
- the longitudinal and transverse slots 26, 28 are elongated and each form a substantially oval-shaped opening in plan view, the opposite longitudinal sides 32 of each slot representing bulges with a large radius.
- the narrow sides 34 of the slots can also be rounded or straight, as in the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG Fig. 2 .
- the longitudinal and transverse slots 26, 28 are no longer arranged centrally between four adjacent bottle positions, rather the middle area between four adjacent bottle positions of the bottom of the container preferably remains closed-walled in the base and the longitudinal and transverse slots are shifted outwards in the direction of the sides of the bottle storage spaces of the container from the center between four neighboring storage spaces.
- the longitudinal extent of the slots 26, 28 is essentially based on the bottle diameter of the bottles received in the container and, without being restrictive, is preferably in the range from 20 to 40 mm, preferably in the range from 25 to 37 mm.
- the transverse extent of the slots is in the range from 8 mm to 15 mm.
- the container 4 has two opposite side walls 5 and 7. These containers are usually open on the other two sides, which are usually the narrow sides of such a container, so that the bottles can be accessed. However, this is not mandatory since there are also containers with a circumferentially closed side wall. Since the support members can be designed to be comparatively narrow in width, the elongated slots are thus also reduced in width, the openings introduced result in less weakening of the base than is the case with conventional containers for central quill boxes with central "quill" openings Case is.
- FIG. 6 shows a bottom of a six-pack made of cardboard, with differently shaped opening formations 40, namely with three opening formations 40a arranged in the longitudinal direction at a distance in series and with transverse opening formations 40b which are set to a gap between the longitudinally formed openings.
- the opening configurations 40a and 40b, which run in the longitudinal or transverse direction to one another, as far as the configuration is concerned, are of identical design, so that it is sufficient to describe one of the openings. Accordingly, each opening configuration has two spaced-apart web openings 42, 44, which are preferably connected to one another by an opening slot 46.
- each support member 8 of such a bottle crate has two parallel legs 12, 14 arranged parallel to each other, which form a passage opening between them.
- the upper ends of the longitudinal legs 12, 14 project upwards via a cross member 48 connecting the two longitudinal legs, the projecting ends in FIG Fig. 7 are designated with 50 and 52.
- the protruding ends 50, 52 can be tapered on the end face, which makes it easier to put on multi-bottle packaging, in particular made of cardboard, since the pointed ends 50, 52 also make it easier to pierce the carton base 6.
- the protruding ends 50, 52 dip into the openings 42, 44 and the cross member 48, which is expediently tapered at the top, engages through the slot-like openings 46 in the carton bottom 6.
- This embodiment permits, in particular, narrow opening cross sections for the opening formations 40, which contributes to increasing the strength of the cardboard base 6 and thus the packaging.
- To set the packages they are placed on the support members 8 with pressure.
- openings 42, 44 which are roughly matched to the longitudinal webs 12, 14 or their ends 50, 52
- cross-slits or a plurality of radial cross-slits are provided which, when the packaging is put on by the in particular pointed ends 50, 52 are pierced and then form the openings.
- the opening slots 46 can also be perforated, if required, as from Fig. 8 emerges, so that the cross-members 48 pierce the perforations when the packaging is put on. This enables the packaging to be held firmly in the bottles, but nevertheless also easy to remove, since there is only a plug connection.
- the opening formations 40 together with the packaging walls limit corresponding parking spaces, here, for example, six storage spaces for the placement of bottles in the multi-bottle packaging.
- the opening configurations 40 thus differ from the slot-like openings of the previous embodiment, wherein the term of the slots which has been used to describe the first embodiment is to be understood very broadly and also the opening configurations according to Fig. 6 relates, so that the arrangement of the openings in relation to one another in principle corresponds to that of the first and second slots of the previous embodiment and the corresponding description with respect to the arrangement with respect to one another and to the walls of the packaging likewise for the embodiment according to Fig. 6 are applicable to avoid repetitions.

Description
The invention relates to a multi-bottle container according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
More and more multi-bottle containers are spreading on the beverage market, which are usually formed from cardboard packaging, possibly also from plastic films, and are designed to hold four, six, eight and possibly also ten or twelve bottles. Multi-bottle containers are most commonly used to hold six bottles, which are commonly referred to as six-packs. Such six-packs or corresponding multi-bottle containers are often also transported by conventional bottle crates, which are generally equipped both for the reception of multi-bottle containers and for the setting of individual bottles. Bottle crates for accommodating multi-bottle containers are generally designed with quills inside, which protrude from the bottom of the crate and are arranged in the middle between four adjacent parking spaces. In the case of the return transport of individual bottles, the quills serve to hold the set bottles and, in the case of the transport of containers, immerse the quills into openings in the bottom of the container and engage between four neighboring bottles. For this reason, in the form of six-packs, at least two openings, in particular with a diamond-shaped cross-section and thus adapted to the quills, are arranged one behind the other in the axis of symmetry of the base, that is to say in the central region of the base. In the case of eight packs, three diamond-shaped ones arranged in series and in the case of four packs, only one opening is arranged centrally in the bottom of the container.
When carrying bottle crates of this type, the crates are generally held laterally and thus in an inclined position, which can have the consequence that the containers, which are only supported by the quill, can also fall out of the bottle crate during transport if handled improperly. This would result in the bottles breaking.
A major disadvantage of today's quill boxes is the noise level up to the breaking of the bottles. The bottle diameters are pressed together by the cardboard composite and the bottle composite is fixed as a unit. The empty bottles are placed individually and loosely in the spaces between the quills and are not fixed. When the box is lifted, the bellies of the empty bottles hit each other unprotected between the quills. Already in the return of empties, there is an increased noise on the conveyor belts of the acceptance branches, which continues during the truck journey. The constant beating of the bottles can even lead to breakage.
In order to remedy these disadvantages, bottle crates have been created which, instead of the quill provided centrally between four adjacent parking spaces, have support members to the side of the bottle storage spaces of a bottle crate, which either limit the storage spaces or bottle receiving compartments for the adjustment of the bottles between themselves or with adjacent side walls of the crate . If a six-pack is used in a bottle crate configured in this way, instead of two quills, several, in particular at least seven, support members (in the case of six-packs) reach into the container from the bottom, some of which are aligned in the longitudinal direction and some in the transverse direction of the container. As a result, the hold of the containers within such a bottle crate is much better. In addition, this placement of support members, in particular if they are designed as arcuate support members, results in that in the bottle receiving compartments or on the Parking spaces set bottles are kept at a distance from each other, so that annoying rattling noises can be avoided during the transport of these crates.
The object of the invention is to provide appropriate containers, in particular six-packs and the like, which are easily equipped for stable and noise-free adjustment in such bottle crates.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Useful and preferred developments of the invention are characterized by the features contained in the subclaims.
According to the invention, the bottom of a multi-bottle pack, in particular six-packs, is designed such that when the pack is set in bottle crates, support members can be immersed in the lateral areas of each bottle storage location in such a pack, i.e. the support members no longer grip into areas that are present in the middle between four adjacent parking spaces or bottle-holding compartments of such a container, but off-center, namely on the sides of the parking spaces. For this purpose, openings are provided in the bottom of these areas, in particular in the form of elongated slots, which are designed for immersing such support members. In the case of a six-pack, which is designed to hold six bottles in usually two adjacent and parallel rows, each with three bottles arranged one behind the other and thus with six appropriately placed parking spaces, the elongated slots are located on the sides of the parking spaces in the case of six packs, three slots arranged one behind the other in the middle of the base and in the longitudinal direction of the container, as well as two transverse rows, each with two complementary transverse slots, so that in the case of six packs there are preferably a total of seven openings in the form of elongated slots. As a result of the lateral arrangement at the parking spaces, the openings provided in the transverse direction are formed so that there is a gap between the longitudinally spaced slots and thus outside the center between four adjacent parking spaces.
The bottom of the container is preferably provided in the center in the longitudinal direction of the container with a number of elongated first slots corresponding to the number (n) of pairs of bottle compartments and with complementary second slots, which are arranged in a plurality of parallel ones Rows arranged transversely to the bottom longitudinal direction, the number of transverse rows (n-1) being the number (n) of pairs of bottle compartments. The slits running in the transverse direction are arranged at a lateral distance from the slits running in the longitudinal direction of the container and at a gap between these first slits. In this respect, the slots delimiting four receiving compartments are arranged in a cross shape.
Containers of this type usually have only two rows with bottle receiving compartments or storage spaces arranged one behind the other, so that a transverse slot is arranged on each side of the longitudinal central axis of the container for each transverse row. In the case of two longitudinal rows of bottle receiving compartments of these containers, each storage space of the container is therefore also limited by the outer walls of the container, the inner sides of each storage space of the container are limited by the slot-like openings which are arranged perpendicularly to each other and at a distance from one another in accordance with the facial expressions the flat support members provided on the bottle crate.
The middle floor area between four adjacent parking spaces of the bundle is free of slits and, if necessary, can be reinforced, which can expediently be done by ribbing, multilayer cardboard formation or a corresponding coating.
The length and width of the elongated slots, which are matched to the support members of the bottle crate, are preferably oval in plan view, the two long sides of the slots advantageously being bulged outwards with a comparatively large radius of curvature. The front ends of the slots can be straight or expediently rounded. The length of the slots is expediently 1.5 to 4.5 cm. The width is advantageously in the range from 0.3 to 2.5 mm. However, this information is not restrictive and it ultimately depends on the adaptation to the support members of the bottle crate onto which the container is to be placed.
The above-described opening facial expressions, in particular in the form of slot-like openings provided laterally at the parking spaces in the container floor, are of course not precluded by the fact that, if necessary, further openings in different geometries can also be provided, so this is considered expedient. For example, the margins for themselves Known opening slots can be provided, which allow partial bottle penetration, in particular in the area of the container base.
A further alternative advantageous embodiment of the bottom of a multi-bottle packaging, which is formed in particular from cardboard, has differently configured opening configurations compared to the opening configurations described above in the form of slots. These alternative opening designs are comparable in function and arrangement to those of the slot-like opening designs described above, so that previously made statements also apply to this opening design. Each opening formation is formed by two spaced-apart web openings, between which a slot-like opening extends, which preferably connects the two web openings to one another. When the packaging is placed or inserted into a bottle crate with corresponding web members, the upper ends of the longitudinal legs are immersed in the web openings spaced apart from one another, a cross member of the support member engaging through the slot-like opening which is provided between the two web openings and in particular the two Bridge openings connects together. The web openings are preferably designed to be complementary to the longitudinal legs of the support members which pass through the openings when the packaging is put on.
In a further expedient embodiment, these opening configurations, including the slot-like configuration between the web openings, are formed as piercing openings, in particular the slot-like opening is formed by corresponding perforations in the bottom of the bottle crate. If necessary, the web openings can also be designed as piercing openings by means of crosswise arranged slots or perforations or radially arranged slots or perforations, which open when the packaging is placed on the web members.
