Definitions
- the present invention relates to a multifunctional table.
- Tables are currently known the resting surface of which can be raised or lowered.
- Italian Patent No. 1,305,725 discloses an apparatus for supporting a surface that is adjustable in height, particularly for tables and other surfaces to be supported and tables or surfaces thus equipped of the type provided by means of two mutually opposite stems for supporting the surface, which are crossed in an X-like arrangement and the lower ends of which constitute the base as ground resting feet and the upper ends of which slide in opposition to a pair of mutually opposite parallel guides, below the surface, and in which said two stems are controlled in their mutual inclination for respective opening/closure by virtue of spring-loaded means for contrasting the weight of the structure.
- the two stems crossed in an X-like arrangement are controlled in an upper region in their variation of inclination, opening and closure by controlling the respective distance of their upper ends for sliding in said guides, with respect to a central fixed position of the undersurface frame, where a rotating central arm or cam is rotationally pivoted and forms a joint with a substantially Z-shaped mutually opposite articulated double arm, in which the inclined portion constitutes said central arm or cam and the bases form the mutually opposite articulated arms.
- the articulation is provided with four joints, respectively:
- the rotational pivot is arranged in the central arm, in a central fulcrum thereof that corresponds to the inclined portion of the Z-shape that joins said two end arms, while the rotation of the central arm is controlled by the spring means.
- Sofas are also known which comprise means adapted to allow the movement of the armrests and/or seats and/or back in order to allow to assume either a sofa-like configuration or a bed-like configuration.
- the aim of the present invention is therefore to provide a device that allows, by containing space occupations, to benefit rapidly and easily from other types of use that are different from those according to the background art.
- an object of the invention is to obtain a device that is structurally simple, simple to activate, can be resized to compact dimensions, allows to achieve a good aesthetic result, has modest manufacturing costs, and can be provided with ordinary known systems.
- a multifunctional table comprising a box-like body associated with a first frame with which a first collapsible half-top is rotatably associated, a second frame being slidingly associated with said first frame and being provided with a bedspring or with a plurality of slats, with which a second collapsible half-top is rotatably associated, characterised in that it comprises a pair of first and second legs being pivoted in a lower region to said first frame, being crossed in an X-like arrangement and cooperating with means adapted to lift said first frame, two first and second pairs of feet that are collapsible downward being rotatably associated with said first and second frames, a mattress collapsible in an accordion-like fashion being arrangeable on said plurality of slats or on the bedspring.
- the reference numeral 1 designates a multifunctional table which comprises a box-like body 2 that has a substantially parallelepiped shape with which a first frame 3 is associated in a lower region.
- the first frame 3 is substantially shaped like a parallelepiped and is constituted by a pair of uprights 4a, 4b, which are mutually parallel, and by a pair of mutually parallel first crossmembers 5a, 5b, which have a polygonal, preferably rectangular shape in cross-section.
- the first frame 3 is associated rotatably with a first half-top 6, which is L-shaped in a transverse cross-section and is therefore constituted by a first larger wing 7a and by a second smaller wing 7b.
- the first half-top 6 in the closed condition is arranged, with the first wing 7a, above the first frame 3 so as to cover it partially.
- the first half-top 6 is collapsible with respect to the first frame 3 by means of a pair of first brackets 8 which are associated in a lower region with the lateral ends of the first crossmember 5a, as shown in the present embodiment, or as an alternative of the first uprights 4a, 4b.
- Each first bracket 8 is C-shaped, so as to form a first flap 9a, which is connected stably to the first wing 7b of the first half-top 6, a second flap 9b to the end of which a first pivot 10 is coupled which is associated rotatably between a pair of bars 11a, 11b, which are mutually parallel and protrude at right angles from the first crossmember 5a in the direction of the first crossmember 5b.
- the first and second flaps 9a, 9b are blended by a first flat base 9c from which a first stop element 12 protrudes on the opposite side with respect to the first and second flaps 9a, 9b, the function of said first stop element being to block on the first uprights 4a, 4b or as an alternative on the first crossmember 5a, the rotation of the first half-top 6 in the condition in which the first wing 7a arranges itself substantially at right angles to the first frame 3.
- Said first frame can thus assume a position in which the first wing 7a is arranged horizontally above the first frame 3, which corresponds to the condition in which the table is closed, and a position in which the first wing 7a is, as a consequence of a counterclockwise rotation, arranged approximately at right angles to the first frame 3 so as to form a headboard for the condition in which a bed 13 is obtained.
- a second frame 14 is associated slidingly with the first uprights 4a, 4b of the first frame 3 and is constituted by a pair of second mutually parallel uprights 15a, 15b, and by a second crossmember 16, which is arranged at right angles to the second uprights 15a, 15b and at their ends directed in the opposite direction with respect to the first crossmember 5a of the first frame 3.
- the pair of second uprights 15a, 15b and the second crossmember 16 are assembled so as to form, for the second frame 14, a C-like shape which is open at one end.
- the second frame 14 is associated slidingly with the first frame 3 by means of a pair of telescopic guides 17a, 17b which have a substantially I-shaped cross-section and the first tabs 18a, 18b of which, directed toward the first uprights 4a, 4b, engage slidingly with adapted first wheels 19 which are associated rotatably with the first uprights 4a, 4b.
- the pair of guides 17a, 17b has a pair of second tabs 20a, 20b which are directed toward the second uprights 15a, 15b, which engage adapted second wheels 21 associated rotatably with the adjacent second uprights 15a, 15b.
- the second uprights 15a, 15b can thus be made to slide, together with the guides 17a, 17b, in order to arrange themselves so as to be positioned beyond the ends 22a, 22b, which lie opposite the first crossmember 5a, of the respective first upright 4a, 4b.
- stop elements can be adapted to block the position of the second frame 14 with respect to the first frame 3 once it has been extracted completely.
- the second frame 14 can be arranged as an extension of the first frame 3 so as to form a continuous resting surface for the bed 13 that will be obtained.
- a plurality of slats 23 or a bedspring is associated transversely to the second uprights 15a, 15b of the second frame 14.
- a second half-top 24 is rotatably associated with the second crossmember 16 of the second frame 14 and has an L-shaped transverse cross-section so as to form a third larger wing 25a and a fourth smaller wing 25b.
