Dieses Verklappen des vorstehenden Dichtsteges gegen die Außenseite des unteren Schenkels des Außensteges findet zu Beginn des Dichteingriffes statt, wobei sich bei diesem Verschwenken des Dichtsteges zunächst der Hohlquerschnitt des Kopfbereiches der Verglasungsdichtung noch so gut wie nicht mit deformiert. Da aber bei diesem Vorgang die ganze Außenfläche des unteren Dichtsteges bereits vollständig in Anlage an der abzudichtenden Gegenfläche anliegt, wird bei der erfindungsgemäßen Verglasungsdichtung beim Schließvorgang schon sehr bald ein relativ großer Dichtbereich geschaffen, der dann noch zusätzlich durch einen weiteren, an der Außenseite des oberen Schenkels des Außensteges sich ausbildenden zusätzlichen Anlagebereich mit der abzudichtenden Gegenfläche verstärkt wird.
