  • the invention provides that a transition region between the data side and the connecting element is provided with a coherent laser-introduced security feature, wherein the security feature is partially formed in the overlapping region and partially outside the overlapping region in a boundary region of the data side.
  • coherent means that the security feature extends, at least in part, in its graphic representation continuously, that is to say continuously, over a boundary line which marks the boundary between the overlapping area and the border area.
  • a contiguous security feature includes lines that extend across the boundary line, for example, in alphanumeric characters that are formed partly in the overlap area and partly in the border area.
  • the security feature may include, for example, personalized data such as a number, an alphanumeric string, a code, a seal, an image or other symbols, or machine-readable characters. If the data page is separated out, the described transition area is destroyed and a later-inserted, possibly changed data page would have to have exactly the same character string at exactly the same locations or interfaces as the original data page in order to be genuine to be recognized. A counterfeiting of the data carrier is made considerably more difficult or even impossible.
  • the advantage of the invention is that the laser processing carried out after connecting the data side to the connecting element is carried out both in the data side and in the connecting element, thereby forming a common security feature.
  • This security feature for example personalized information in the form of a number or an alphanumeric code, is then partly formed both in the data page and in the connection element, so that the overall visual impression of the security feature originates both from the data side and from the connection element. Disconnecting the data page from the connector would remove one of these pieces of information from the security feature, destroying the overall look. In a subsequent exchange of the data page, the exact replica of the missing information component to obtain the original overall impression is almost impossible, so that the data carrier with the exchanged data page is easily recognizable as a forgery.
  • the proposed data carrier and the associated method thus lead to an increased security against forgery of security documents.
  • the data page comprises a laser doping.

However, this is not absolutely necessary, since a connection can also be made in other ways, in the case of a welding process in that the data page has a fusible material.
  • the textile material is preferably made of plastic (polymer). It has been found to be particularly advantageous to use as plastic a polyester, for example polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyamide (PA), or a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), because these materials can easily spin or extrude into yarns or the like, and then to process the textile material further.

  • the data page 2 comprises two laser-doped layers 5 and a further layer 17.
  • the connecting element 3 is formed as an elastic, transparent film 7 with laser doping. If a security feature is to be formed in the overlapping area, a laser processing of the laser-doped films 5 and the elastic, transparent film 7 with laser doping is carried out analogously to the explanations given in the preceding figures. Local blackening creates the print image of the security feature.
  • the information components of the security feature are partially both in the laser-doped films 5 and partially in the elastic, transparent film 7.
  • FIG. 8 Another embodiment is in Fig. 8 shown. It is similar to the one in Fig. 7 shown embodiment. However, one of the laser-doped films 5 was replaced by a transparent film 8 without laser doping. Such a film may, for example, serve to protect the surface from abrasion or scratching. It is then possible in this embodiment to perform laser processing through the transparent film 8. The formation of a security feature in the overlap region 4 then takes place in such a way that the information components are again formed both partially in the laser-doped film 5 and in the elastic, transparent film 7.
  • FIGS. 9a An embodiment of the invention is in the FIGS. 9a as an outline and in Fig. 9b shown as a plan view of the disk 1.
  • a security feature 14 is designed such that it overlies a border line 21 both partially in the overlapping area 4 and in the border area 20.
  • the security feature 14 is also formed in this embodiment by means of laser processing. If the data page 2 is removed later, the security feature 14 is destroyed and an exchanged data page would have to replicate the partially destroyed security feature 14 at the borderline 21 and in the overlap area 4 with local blackouts. Since this is impossible or only with a very great effort is achievable, thus a forgery is made difficult or impossible.

  • the information components of the security feature according to the invention are formed both partially in the data page and partly in the connection element.
  • the security feature or another security feature can be formed in a transition region.
  • data is again provided or received 106, which may include in particular personalized data.
  • a laser processing of the transition region between the overlapping region and an adjoining border region of the data side so that the further security feature is formed there 107.
  • the security feature over a boundary line between the overlap region and the adjacent border region of the data side away both partially be formed in the border area as well as partially in the overlapping area.
  • the method can alternatively also start only from method step 104, so that method steps 100 to 103 are dispensed with.
  • connection element is often shown as "on" the data page.
  • connection element it is also possible for the connection element to be introduced in a recess or, in particular if it is designed as a fabric, to be "fused” into one or more layers or layers of the data side in the overlapping region.
  • the various embodiments are also executable in such variants.
  • the fabric which itself may or may not be doped with laser, may be melted "from above” into a laser-doped layer, including a non-laser-doped layer and again including another laser-doped layer.
  • the described layers are transparent, in particular clear.
  • the melted fabric is laser doped, but the layer in which it is melted is not.
  • a layer arranged thereunder is again laser-doped, with all these layers being transparent, preferably clear.
  • the fabric is also formed at least partially transparent fibers and has a mesh size, so that a mark in the underlying laser-doped layer is possible between the fibers and is carried out.
