Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for detecting an aging condition of a heating system.
- the invention also relates to a control unit which is designed to carry out the method according to the present invention and to a heating system with a control unit according to the present invention.
- the invention provides a method for detecting an aging condition of a heating system.
- a time profile of a combustion parameter in particular an ionization current, is taken into account in an ignition operation results in the advantage that the aging state is determined during the normal, intended heating operation of the heating system.
- the heating system is always available to the user and can be operated with minimal emissions. In this way, the ease of use is increased.
- the method has the additional advantage that the state of aging is determined immediately after a switch-on process. If an unfavorable aging condition is detected, the operation of the heating system can be at least partially restricted or, if necessary, the heating system can be shut down. In this way, operational reliability is increased.
- Heating system is to be understood as meaning at least one device for generating thermal energy, in particular a heating device or heating burner, in particular for use in heating a building and / or for generating hot water, preferably by burning a gaseous or liquid fuel.
- a heating system can also consist of several such devices for generating thermal energy as well as other devices that support the heating operation, such as hot water and fuel storage tanks.
- “Aging state” is to be understood as a characteristic value, in particular a scalar characteristic value, which describes a state of the heating system.
- the state of aging shows the extent to which the heating system can be operated.
- the state of aging can depend on a result of a performance check of the heating system. For example, it can be checked how quickly the heating system achieves specified test performance.
- the aging condition should take into account the condition of the components in the heating system. For example, it can be detected whether a fuel valve can be fully opened and how quickly it responds to control commands.
- the aging condition can have the capability of a sensor system for detecting the combustion parameter.
- the aging condition in particular the aging condition of the sensor system for recording the combustion parameter, in particular an ionization probe, is to be recorded.
- a high or low aging condition should be understood to mean a scalar aging condition that describes an old or young system. For example, the state of aging can be described with a number between 1 and 10, where the value 1 describes a new, fully functional heating system and the value 10 describes a very old, minimally functional heating system.
- combustion parameter is to be understood in particular as a scalar parameter which is correlated in particular with a combustion, in particular of the mixture, in particular of the combustion air and the fuel.
- An example of a combustion parameter is an ionization current, which is measured on a flame of the heating system.
- the presence and / or quality of the combustion can be inferred and / or the presence and / or the quality of the combustion can be determined.
- the combustion parameter advantageously corresponds to at least one or exactly one measured value depicting and / or characterizing the combustion, or the combustion parameter can be clearly assigned to such a measured value. Examples of a measured value depicting and / or characterizing the combustion are a combustion signal, in particular a light intensity, a pollutant emission, a temperature and / or advantageously an ionization signal.
- Ignition mode is to be understood as an operating phase of the heating system in which the fuel is ignited.
- a fuel-air mixture is preferably ignited in a burner.
- a fuel supply and, if necessary, an air supply are controlled or regulated in the ignition mode.
- the ignition mode is an essential operating phase of a switch-on process for the heating system.
- the ignition mode is advantageously ended as soon as the heating system can be operated as desired, in particular in a regular mode.
- the method is further improved if a sink is taken into account in the course of the combustion parameter over time.
- a “sink” is to be understood as a section of the time course of the combustion parameter in which the combustion parameter drops to a local minimum after a local maximum.
- the local maximum and the local minimum are necessary to characterize the sink.
- the sink can also include the further course of the combustion parameter over time, in particular an increase in the combustion parameter after the local minimum. Taking into account the sink has the advantage that the Sink correlates with the aging condition of the sensors for recording the combustion parameter.
- the sink depth is a parameter that can be determined particularly easily and reliably. Furthermore, the sink depth is a parameter that represents the sink well. This makes the process more reliable and faster. If the combustion parameter is an ionization current, the depression depth correlates with the ohmic resistance of the ionization probe.
- the method becomes more precise and reliable if a cooling time and / or a probe temperature of a probe for detecting the combustion parameter, in particular an ionization probe, is taken into account before the ignition operation.
- the processes that lead to the formation of the sink are temperature-dependent.
- the ohmic resistance of the ionization probe depends on its temperature.
- “Cooling time” is to be understood as a time in which the probe for recording the combustion parameter was not heated.
- the cooling time is a time in which a burner of the heating system was not operated.
- the cooling time can be a time between a last heating operation and the ignition operation.
- the state of aging can be greatly increased if the depression depth exceeds a previously defined, critical value. In this way, aging of the probe for detecting the combustion parameter can be taken into account to a greater extent as soon as this aging has a stronger influence on the operation of the heating system.
- a method for defining an inspection time of the heating system in which the aging condition is detected and taken into account using a method according to the main claim, has the advantage that the inspection time is defined as required.
- the procedure avoids unnecessary, especially early inspections.
- An "inspection” is to be understood as a process in which the functionality of the heating system is checked. If necessary, repairs are carried out and wearing parts replaced. An inspection can at least partially restore the functionality of the heating system.
- a method for controlling an ignition operation of the heating system in which the aging condition is detected and taken into account using a method according to the main claim, has the advantage that the functionality of the heating system can be increased in this way.
- the ignition mode can be designed differently depending on the state of aging, so that, for example, an ionization probe with an oxidation layer that is too large for an otherwise customary ignition mode can continue to be used.
- a fluid supply parameter in particular a valve control signal for a fuel valve
- a valve control signal for a fuel valve is temporarily increased, in particular increased in the form of a pulse, this has the advantage that the combustion parameter can be better recorded in the ignition mode.
- a "fluid supply parameter" is to be understood in particular as a scalar parameter which, in particular, is associated with at least one fluid, in particular a combustion air flow, a fuel flow and / or a mixture flow, which is fed to the heating system, in particular to a burner unit. is correlated in particular from a combustion air and the fuel.
- a volume flow and / or a mass flow of the at least one fluid can be inferred and / or the volume flow and / or the mass flow of the at least one fluid can be determined, in particular by a control and / or regulating unit of the heating system, at least on the basis of the fluid supply parameter.
- An example of a fluid supply parameter is the specification of an opening width of a fuel valve.
- a “pulse”, a “pulse-like change” or a “pulse-shaped signal” is to be understood as a time curve of a parameter which is brought from a first value to at least a second value different from the first value within a limited time span.
- a “pulse” is sometimes referred to as a "pulse”, especially in electrical engineering.
- the combustion parameter is an ionization current
- this has the advantage that the ionization current has a particularly favorable relationship to the fuel-air ratio. This allows precise and reliable regulation and / or calibration of the heating system. Furthermore, the aging of the ionization probe with the oxidation layer can be recorded particularly well. This allows reliable operation of the heating system.
- a fluid supply parameter or the fluid supply parameter is a valve control signal for a fuel valve, this has the advantage that a particularly reliable and precise setting of a fluid supply or a fuel-air ratio is possible in this way.
- control unit for a heating system the control unit being set up to carry out a method according to the present invention, has the advantage that the precisely known Aging condition and, if necessary, by avoiding unnecessary inspections, the availability and reliability of the heating system is increased.
- a heating system with a control unit according to the present invention with at least one fuel valve for a fuel, with an ionization probe on a flame and with a fan with variable fan speed has the advantage that particularly safe operation of the heating system is possible due to the reliably known aging condition.

- the ionization current 56 is stored in the control unit 18 at least in sections as a function of time. In this way, the time course of the detected ionization current 56 can be analyzed.
- the valve control signal 58 is a control signal which is sent to the fuel valve 44 and describes a desired opening width of the fuel valve 44.
- the valve control signal 58 can be characterized by specifying the desired opening width of the fuel valve 44.
- the desired opening width of the fuel valve 44 is described in the exemplary embodiment with a percentage between 0% and 100%, an opening width of 0% corresponding to a completely closed fuel valve 44 and an opening width of 100% corresponding to a completely open fuel valve 44. “Increase or decrease the valve control signal 58” means that the valve control signal 58 is changed in such a way that the desired opening width of the fuel valve 44 is increased or decreased in comparison to a last desired opening width of the fuel valve 44.
- the valve control signal 58 is a fluid supply parameter 68.

- an ionization current maximum 72 is detected at a first point in time 74, the linear increase in valve control signal 58 is interrupted and valve control signal 58 is held at a constant ignition value.
- the ionization current maximum 72 is a combustion characteristic maximum 73.
- the control unit 18 checks whether the ionization current 56 does not differ too greatly from a nominal ionization 84. If the ionization current 56 does not differ too greatly from the nominal ionization, the ignition mode is terminated and a closed-loop mode is started.
- the second point in time 76 is selected with a safety margin 78 stored in the control unit 18 from the first point in time 74.
- the safety distance 78 depends on the burner output parameter 64.
- the safety distance 78 was determined empirically in laboratory tests. The distance 78 is chosen so that the ionization current 56 can largely stabilize after ignition. In variants of the exemplary embodiment, the safety distance 78 depends on the state of aging of the ionization probe 42.
- the ionization current 56 quickly drops to an ionization current minimum 80.
- the ionization current minimum 80 is a combustion parameter minimum 81.

Typical values for the ionization current maximum 72 are between 10 ⁇ A and 1000 ⁇ A, in particular between 20 ⁇ A and 100 ⁇ A, especially between 30 ⁇ A and 80 ⁇ A. Typical values for the ionization current minimum 80 are between 0 ⁇ A and 100 ⁇ A, in particular between 10 ⁇ A and 60 ⁇ A, in particular between 20 ⁇ A and 40 ⁇ A.
- “Closed-loop mode” is to be understood as a control process in which a first operating parameter, which preferably corresponds to a control signal to a component of the heating system, is set in such a way that a second operating parameter largely assumes the value of a target operating parameter.
- the first operating parameter is preferably adapted iteratively.
- the fan speed 54 or the first burner output parameter 64 is kept largely constant in the closed-loop mode.
- the valve control signal 58 is set in such a way that the ionization current 56 largely assumes the value of the nominal ionization 84.
- the detected ionization current 56 is compared largely continuously with the nominal ionization 84.
- the The current ionization current 56 is compared with the nominal ionization 84 at time intervals, preferably periodically.
- the time intervals are preferably short compared to the time scales typical for regulating and / or controlling the heating system 46, for example between 10 ms and 10,000 ms, in particular between 100 ms and 1000 ms.
- the nominal ionization 84 depends on the fan speed 54.
- the required target ionization 84 is determined as a function of the fan speed 54 by means of a target ionization characteristic curve stored in the control unit 18.
- the nominal ionization characteristic is determined by laboratory tests and adapted to the requirements of the heating system 46. It is conceivable that the nominal ionization characteristic or the nominal ionization 84 is determined by special methods during the operation of the heating system 46, in particular by methods for calibrating the heating system 46.
- the nominal ionization 84 is a nominal combustion parameter.
- valve control signal 58 is increased in the exemplary embodiment. If the current ionization current 56 is greater than the nominal ionization, the valve control signal 58 is lowered. In the exemplary embodiment, the valve control signal 58 is increased or decreased all the more, the greater the deviation of the current ionization current 56 from the nominal ionization 84. A linear relationship is stored in the control unit 18, to which a change in the valve control signal 58 is assigned to a difference between the ionization current 56 and the nominal ionization 84.
- the ionization threshold is a value stored in the control unit 18 to take into account measurement inaccuracies or signal noise of the detected ionization current 56.
- the ionization threshold depends on the burner power parameter 64.
- the relationship stored in the control unit 18 between the difference between the ionization current 56 and the nominal ionization 84 and the change in the valve control signal 58 has the form of any desired, monotonically increasing function, in particular linear and / or quadratic and / or exponential and / or a power function.
- the fluid supply parameter 68 is changed and / or increased or decreased to a greater extent, the greater the deviation of the currently detected combustion parameter 66 from the target combustion parameter.
- a change in the valve control signal 58 changes a fuel-air ratio in a fuel-air mixture supplied to the burner 28.
- the detected ionization current 56 changes as a function of the change in the valve control signal 58.
- the valve control signal 58 can be changed iteratively in such a way that the detected ionization current 56 largely resembles the nominal ionization 84.
- the set valve control signal 58 in which the detected ionization current 56 largely corresponds to the nominal ionization 84, is detected by the control unit 18 as a regulating value.
- a depression depth 86 is determined to characterize depression 82.
- the depression depth 86 is determined by subtracting the minimum combustion parameter 80 from the maximum combustion parameter 72.
- the depression depth 86 depends on a probe temperature of the ionization probe 42 or on a cooling time.
- the cooling time describes the time between a point in time at which a flame 40 was last present in burner 28 and a subsequent ignition point, for example the first point in time 74. The longer the cooling time, the lower the probe temperature of the ionization probe 42 or the closer it is Probe temperature at an ambient temperature.
- Figure 3 shows the depression depth 86 as a function of cooling time.
- a second ordinate axis 88 depicts the depression depth 86.
- the cooling time is shown on a second axis 90 of the abscissa.
- Two courses of the depression depth 86 are shown.
- a first curve 92 shows the depression depth 86 of an aged ionization probe 42.
- a second curve 94 shows the depression depth 86 of a new ionization probe 42.
- the cooling time is 0 minutes. Both courses of the depression depth 86 have the value 0 ⁇ A at the third point in time 96.
- the depression depth 86 increases in a strictly monotonous manner.
- the depression depth 86 of the aged ionization probe 42 grows faster than the depression depth 86 of the new ionization probe 42.
- the reason is a temperature dependency of an oxidation layer on the ionization probe 42.
- An ohmic resistance of the oxidation layer increases with decreasing temperature.
- the aged ionization probe 42 has a thicker oxidation layer than the new ionization probe 42.
- the depression depth 86 becomes saturated as the cooling time increases.
- the value of the depression depth 86 of the first curve 92 tends toward a first saturation value 98.
- the value of the depression depth 86 of the second curve 94 tends toward a second saturation value 100.
- the first saturation value 98 has a value of 90 ⁇ A.
- the second saturation value 100 has a value of 45 ⁇ A.
- the cooling time is taken into account in that only such a depression depth 86 is taken into account in order to record the aging state that is recorded during a cooling time that exceeds a time threshold 102.
- the time threshold 102 is 30 minutes.
- the time threshold 102 is a constant stored in the control unit 18.
- the time threshold 102 is selected such that the ionization probe 42 is used under largely all operating conditions, in particular under all possible burner power parameters 64 largely cools to an ambient temperature within the time threshold 102. This ensures that the detected value of the depression depth 86 is sufficiently close to a saturation value.
- a depression depth 86 is recorded at which the cooling time is above the time threshold 102, in the exemplary embodiment the value of depression depth 86 is recorded as the aging state of ionization probe 42.
- the probe temperature of the ionization probe 42 is detected and taken into account.
- a depression depth 86 can only be used to detect an aging condition if the probe temperature falls below a temperature limit.
- the control unit 18 determines a saturation value of the depression depth 86 on the basis of the recorded depression depth 86 and the probe temperature and / or the cooling time. It is conceivable that the control unit 18 has a saturation value characteristic which assigns the saturation value to the recorded depression depth 86 and the probe temperature and / or the cooling time.
- the saturation value characteristic can be determined empirically in laboratory tests. The saturation value characteristic takes into account the technical properties of the heating system 46, in particular the properties of the burner 28 and the ionization probe 42. In these variants, the determined saturation value of the depression depth 86 is used as the aging condition.
- a recorded depression depth 86 is used to describe the state of aging.
- the detected depression depth 86 is assigned an aging condition using an aging condition characteristic curve stored in the control unit 18.
- the state of aging can assume values between 0% and 100%, for example, with a value of 0% describing an ionization probe 42 that is as good as new and a value of 100% describing an ionization probe 42 that is unusable.
- the aging characteristic curve has been determined empirically in laboratory tests.
- the state of aging is determined with the aid of the ionization current minimum 80.
- the ionization current minimum 80 is smaller in the case of an aged ionization probe 42 than in the case of a new ionization probe 42.
- the control unit 18 checks during the ignition operation whether the value of the ionization current 56 does not deviate too greatly from the nominal ionization 84. The reason is that if the ionization current 56 deviates too greatly, the closed-loop mode may not function as intended. For example, it is conceivable that the ionization current 56 in the closed loop mode takes too long to stabilize on the nominal ionization 84. It is possible for the heating system to be shut down by a safety mechanism that monitors the ionization current 56 before the ionization current 56 stabilizes in the closed-loop mode. In such a case, the operation of the heating system 46 with an excessively aged ionization probe 42 is not possible or only possible to a limited extent.
- the lowering threshold 104 is 70 ⁇ A (see Figure 3 ). If the aging condition has a value greater than the lowering threshold 104, an inspection time is established. The currently available time is selected as the inspection time. The heating system 46 sends a message to an operator of the heating system 46 to service the heating system 46 as soon as possible.
- the lowering threshold 104 is stored in a heating system. The lowering threshold 104 is selected in such a way that the heating system 46 is likely to remain fully functional until the inspection or maintenance takes place.
- the aging condition is used to control the ignition operation. If the aging value exceeds the lower threshold 104, the valve control signal 58 is temporarily increased in the form of a pulse. For this purpose, an ignition point from a previous ignition operation is recorded. A relative time interval between a point in time at which the valve control signal 58 was opened to the starting value in the preceding ignition operation and the point in time of ignition is determined. A probable ignition time of the ignition operation is determined as a function of this relative time interval.
- a flow rate is stored in the control unit 18.
- the flow rate describes how long the fuel-air mixture flows from the fuel valve 44 to the burner 28.
- the flow rate is determined operated in a closed-loop mode. For this purpose, given a constant burner output parameter 64, a brief, pulse-shaped change, for example an increase of 5%, is impressed on the largely constant valve control signal. The control unit 18 then detects the point in time at which this pulse-shaped change briefly increases the largely constant ionization current 56. The flow rate is correlated with the performance of the heating system 46.
- a pulse time is determined at which the flow velocity is subtracted from the probable ignition time.
- the valve control signal 58 is increased in the form of a pulse in the ignition mode in addition to the intended, largely ramp-avoided profile.
- the valve control signal 58 is increased by a pulse level as quickly as possible at the time of the pulse, based on the currently available value.
- the valve control signal 58 is then reduced by the pulse height as quickly as possible.
- the pulse height is 10%.
- the pulse height is dependent on the burner output parameter 64. In variants of the exemplary embodiment, the pulse height also depends on the value of the state of aging. The higher the state of aging, the higher the pulse height. Typical values for the pulse height are between 1% and 25%, in particular between 5% and 15%.
- a fuel proportion in the fuel-air mixture is briefly increased at the time of the pulse.
- a richer fuel-air mixture is available for a short time at the time of ignition.
- the value of the ionization current 56 is increased, in particular the value of the ionization current minimum 80 is increased.
- the ionization current 56 stabilizes more quickly during the nominal ionization 84. This enables a safe transition from the ignition mode to the closed-loop mode. In this way, the heating system 46 can also be used safely and reliably with an aged ionization probe 42.
- a pulse generated at the time of the pulse in the valve control signal 58 has any other form.
- the pulse can have the shape of a square-wave signal and / or a ramp and / or a triangular shape and / or a Gaussian shape.
- the starting value and / or the slope angle of the valve control signal 58 is adapted when controlling the ignition mode to take account of the aging condition.
- the start value and / or the The slope angles of the valve control signal 58 are adapted if the aging condition exceeds a lowering threshold 104.
- the starting value and / or the pitch angle are increased compared to a starting value and / or pitch angle provided in normal operation.
- the starting value and / or the slope angle are increased the greater the value of the aging condition.
- At least one previous time profile of the combustion parameter 66 is taken into account in at least one previous ignition mode.
- a previous depression depth can be recorded and stored in the control unit 18.
- the depression depth 86 and the previous depression depths can be used; in particular, the depression depth 86 and the previous depression depths can be statistically evaluated. For example, it is conceivable that a mean value is determined from the depression depth 86 and the previous depression depths. If necessary, a weighting can be used in the averaging of the depression depth 86 and the previous depression depths, for example a weighting that is weaker the further back the respective previous depression depth was recorded. The mean value can be used as the aging condition.

The invention relates to a method for detecting an aging condition of a heating system. The invention also relates to a control unit which is designed to carry out the method according to the present invention and to a heating system with a control unit according to the present invention.
The invention provides a method for detecting an aging condition of a heating system. The fact that a time profile of a combustion parameter, in particular an ionization current, is taken into account in an ignition operation results in the advantage that the aging state is determined during the normal, intended heating operation of the heating system. The heating system is always available to the user and can be operated with minimal emissions. In this way, the ease of use is increased. The method has the additional advantage that the state of aging is determined immediately after a switch-on process. If an unfavorable aging condition is detected, the operation of the heating system can be at least partially restricted or, if necessary, the heating system can be shut down. In this way, operational reliability is increased.
Advantageous developments of the capacitive touch switch are possible due to the features listed in the subclaims.
Ein Heizsystem kann auch aus mehreren solchen Geräten zur Erzeugung von Wärmeenergie sowie weiteren, den Heizbetrieb unterstützenden Vorrichtungen, wie etwa Warmwasser- und Brennstoffspeichern, bestehen."Heating system" is to be understood as meaning at least one device for generating thermal energy, in particular a heating device or heating burner, in particular for use in heating a building and / or for generating hot water, preferably by burning a gaseous or liquid fuel. A heating system can also consist of several such devices for generating thermal energy as well as other devices that support the heating operation, such as hot water and fuel storage tanks.
Of the The state of aging shows the extent to which the heating system can be operated. In particular, the state of aging can depend on a result of a performance check of the heating system. For example, it can be checked how quickly the heating system achieves specified test performance. In particular, the aging condition should take into account the condition of the components in the heating system. For example, it can be detected whether a fuel valve can be fully opened and how quickly it responds to control commands. In particular, the aging condition can have the capability of a sensor system for detecting the combustion parameter. If the sensor system is an ionization probe, an oxidation layer forms on an ionization probe over time. The oxidation layer has an ohmic resistance, which lowers the detected ionization current. This can lead to restrictions in the control of operation in the heating system. It is necessary to change the ionization probe as soon as the oxidation layer is too thick. In the method according to the main claim, the aging condition, in particular the aging condition of the sensor system for recording the combustion parameter, in particular an ionization probe, is to be recorded. A high or low aging condition should be understood to mean a scalar aging condition that describes an old or young system. For example, the state of aging can be described with a number between 1 and 10, where the value 1 describes a new, fully functional heating system and the
A “combustion parameter” is to be understood in particular as a scalar parameter which is correlated in particular with a combustion, in particular of the mixture, in particular of the combustion air and the fuel. An example of a combustion parameter is an ionization current, which is measured on a flame of the heating system. Advantageously, in particular by the control and / or regulating unit of the heating system, at least based on the combustion parameter, the presence and / or quality of the combustion can be inferred and / or the presence and / or the quality of the combustion can be determined. The combustion parameter advantageously corresponds to at least one or exactly one measured value depicting and / or characterizing the combustion, or the combustion parameter can be clearly assigned to such a measured value. Examples of a measured value depicting and / or characterizing the combustion are a combustion signal, in particular a light intensity, a pollutant emission, a temperature and / or advantageously an ionization signal.
Vorteilhaft wird der Zündbetrieb beendet, sobald das Heizsystem wie gewünscht betrieben werden kann, insbesondere in einem Regelbetrieb."Ignition mode" is to be understood as an operating phase of the heating system in which the fuel is ignited. A fuel-air mixture is preferably ignited in a burner. In particular, a fuel supply and, if necessary, an air supply are controlled or regulated in the ignition mode. The ignition mode is an essential operating phase of a switch-on process for the heating system. The ignition mode is advantageously ended as soon as the heating system can be operated as desired, in particular in a regular mode.
The method is further improved if a sink is taken into account in the course of the combustion parameter over time. A “sink” is to be understood as a section of the time course of the combustion parameter in which the combustion parameter drops to a local minimum after a local maximum. In particular, the local maximum and the local minimum are necessary to characterize the sink. The sink can also include the further course of the combustion parameter over time, in particular an increase in the combustion parameter after the local minimum. Taking into account the sink has the advantage that the Sink correlates with the aging condition of the sensors for recording the combustion parameter.
If the sink is taken into account by a sink depth, described by a difference between a combustion parameter maximum and a combustion parameter minimum in ignition mode, this has the advantage that the sink depth is a parameter that can be determined particularly easily and reliably. Furthermore, the sink depth is a parameter that represents the sink well. This makes the process more reliable and faster. If the combustion parameter is an ionization current, the depression depth correlates with the ohmic resistance of the ionization probe.
The method becomes more precise and reliable if a cooling time and / or a probe temperature of a probe for detecting the combustion parameter, in particular an ionization probe, is taken into account before the ignition operation. In general, the processes that lead to the formation of the sink are temperature-dependent. For example, the ohmic resistance of the ionization probe depends on its temperature. “Cooling time” is to be understood as a time in which the probe for recording the combustion parameter was not heated. In particular, the cooling time is a time in which a burner of the heating system was not operated. For example, the cooling time can be a time between a last heating operation and the ignition operation.
If it is taken into account whether an amount of the or a depression depth exceeds a depression threshold, this is a particularly reliable and robust method of detecting the state of aging. For example, the state of aging can be greatly increased if the depression depth exceeds a previously defined, critical value. In this way, aging of the probe for detecting the combustion parameter can be taken into account to a greater extent as soon as this aging has a stronger influence on the operation of the heating system.
A method for defining an inspection time of the heating system, in which the aging condition is detected and taken into account using a method according to the main claim, has the advantage that the inspection time is defined as required. The procedure avoids unnecessary, especially early inspections. An "inspection" is to be understood as a process in which the functionality of the heating system is checked. If necessary, repairs are carried out and wearing parts replaced. An inspection can at least partially restore the functionality of the heating system.
A method for controlling an ignition operation of the heating system, in which the aging condition is detected and taken into account using a method according to the main claim, has the advantage that the functionality of the heating system can be increased in this way. In particular, the ignition mode can be designed differently depending on the state of aging, so that, for example, an ionization probe with an oxidation layer that is too large for an otherwise customary ignition mode can continue to be used.
If a fluid supply parameter, in particular a valve control signal for a fuel valve, is temporarily increased, in particular increased in the form of a pulse, this has the advantage that the combustion parameter can be better recorded in the ignition mode.
A "fluid supply parameter" is to be understood in particular as a scalar parameter which, in particular, is associated with at least one fluid, in particular a combustion air flow, a fuel flow and / or a mixture flow, which is fed to the heating system, in particular to a burner unit. is correlated in particular from a combustion air and the fuel. Advantageously, a volume flow and / or a mass flow of the at least one fluid can be inferred and / or the volume flow and / or the mass flow of the at least one fluid can be determined, in particular by a control and / or regulating unit of the heating system, at least on the basis of the fluid supply parameter. An example of a fluid supply parameter is the specification of an opening width of a fuel valve.
A “pulse”, a “pulse-like change” or a “pulse-shaped signal” is to be understood as a time curve of a parameter which is brought from a first value to at least a second value different from the first value within a limited time span. A "pulse" is sometimes referred to as a "pulse", especially in electrical engineering.
If the combustion parameter is an ionization current, this has the advantage that the ionization current has a particularly favorable relationship to the fuel-air ratio. This allows precise and reliable regulation and / or calibration of the heating system. Furthermore, the aging of the ionization probe with the oxidation layer can be recorded particularly well. This allows reliable operation of the heating system.
If a fluid supply parameter or the fluid supply parameter is a valve control signal for a fuel valve, this has the advantage that a particularly reliable and precise setting of a fluid supply or a fuel-air ratio is possible in this way.
The use of a control unit for a heating system, the control unit being set up to carry out a method according to the present invention, has the advantage that the precisely known Aging condition and, if necessary, by avoiding unnecessary inspections, the availability and reliability of the heating system is increased.
A heating system with a control unit according to the present invention, with at least one fuel valve for a fuel, with an ionization probe on a flame and with a fan with variable fan speed has the advantage that particularly safe operation of the heating system is possible due to the reliably known aging condition.

An aging condition is determined from the time profile of the ionization current 56. The aging condition is used in the exemplary embodiment for controlling and / or regulating the
At a second point in
Typische Werte für das lonisationsstromminimum 80 liegen zwischen 0 µA und 100 µA, insbesondere zwischen 10 µA und 60 µA, insbesondere zwischen 20 µA und 40 µA.In the exemplary embodiment, the maximum ionization current 72 is 80 μA. The ionization current minimum 80 is 20 μA. These values depend on the internal and external conditions of the

Im Ausführungsbeispiel hängt die Ionisationsschwelle vom Brennerleistungsparameter 64 ab.If the current detected ionization current 56 is less than the nominal ionization, the valve control signal 58 is increased in the exemplary embodiment. If the current ionization current 56 is greater than the nominal ionization, the valve control signal 58 is lowered. In the exemplary embodiment, the valve control signal 58 is increased or decreased all the more, the greater the deviation of the current ionization current 56 from the
In variants of the preferred embodiment, the relationship stored in the
A change in the valve control signal 58 changes a fuel-air ratio in a fuel-air mixture supplied to the
In the exemplary embodiment, a
Der zweite Saturationswert 100 hat einen Wert von 45 µA.As the cooling time increases, the probe temperature of the ionization probe approaches an ambient temperature. The
In the exemplary embodiment, the cooling time is taken into account in that only such a
In alternative embodiments, it is conceivable that when the
In particular embodiments, when the
In the exemplary embodiment, a recorded
In the exemplary embodiment, the aging condition is used to control the ignition operation. If the aging value exceeds the
A flow rate is stored in the
In the exemplary embodiment, a pulse time is determined at which the flow velocity is subtracted from the probable ignition time. To the At the pulse time, the valve control signal 58 is increased in the form of a pulse in the ignition mode in addition to the intended, largely ramp-avoided profile. The valve control signal 58 is increased by a pulse level as quickly as possible at the time of the pulse, based on the currently available value. The valve control signal 58 is then reduced by the pulse height as quickly as possible. In the exemplary embodiment, the pulse height is 10%. The pulse height is dependent on the burner output parameter 64. In variants of the exemplary embodiment, the pulse height also depends on the value of the state of aging. The higher the state of aging, the higher the pulse height. Typical values for the pulse height are between 1% and 25%, in particular between 5% and 15%.
In this way, a fuel proportion in the fuel-air mixture is briefly increased at the time of the pulse. A richer fuel-air mixture is available for a short time at the time of ignition. The value of the ionization current 56 is increased, in particular the value of the ionization current minimum 80 is increased. The ionization current 56 stabilizes more quickly during the
In variants of the exemplary embodiment, it is conceivable that a pulse generated at the time of the pulse in the valve control signal 58 has any other form. In particular, the pulse can have the shape of a square-wave signal and / or a ramp and / or a triangular shape and / or a Gaussian shape.
In further variants, the starting value and / or the slope angle of the valve control signal 58 is adapted when controlling the ignition mode to take account of the aging condition. The start value and / or the The slope angles of the valve control signal 58 are adapted if the aging condition exceeds a lowering
In alternative variants, in order to detect the aging state of the
