Description

PANNEAU D'OCCULTATION DE CLOTURE DITE ATREILLIS SOUDE, PROCEDE DE MONTAGE CORRESPONDANT ET CLOTURE AINSI EQUIPEE  DITE ATREILLIS SOUDE FENCE OCCULTATION PANEL, CORRESPONDING MOUNTING METHOD AND CLOSURE THUS EQUIPPED
The present invention relates to a fence panel concealment called welded mesh. The invention also relates to a method of mounting such a panel and a fence thus equipped.
A so-called welded mesh fence is a fence formed of horizontal and vertical metal rods, welded at the crossing areas of the rods. The term trellis is also used to designate such an assembly of rods. As a result, the terms trellis or trellis will be used later indistinctly to designate the same element.
Such fences are generally rigid. For this, prefabricated mesh panels are fixed on regularly spaced poles. As a variant, the trellis is delivered in the form of rolls making it possible to form a fence of a given length, by fixing on posts. In any case, when the lattice-or lattice-welded is in position, the fence is rigid. The trellis frequently has relief zones extending outside the main plane of the trellis. These raised areas, also called noses, are generally triangular. In addition to a decorative role, the nose contributes to the stiffening of the fence.
Such a fence, by its configuration, is perforated. This does not affect its function of delimitation and / or protection of a given space. However, it may be necessary to hide the vision of the enclosed space from people outside this space. It may also be necessary to implement a windbreak function on the fence, for example to preserve plants. The concealment of the fence may therefore be necessary, temporarily or permanently, once the fence is in place. For this, EP-A-2 151 534 discloses solid panels which are mounted between two vertical rods and which are held on a horizontal rod, connecting the vertical rods, by a curved edge. Such a solution involves a large number of panels to put in place, which is outside the areas provided with nose. In addition, the method of fixation used, if it allows ie passage of the air, does not allow to keep an optimal occultation in the event of wind, the panels being then in movement. FR-A-2 945 064 also discloses screening blades which are inserted from the rear face of the trellis between two vertical rods. A triangular pad fitted to one of the edges of each blade forms a stop and holds the latter in position on the lattice. This solution has the same disadvantages as mentioned above. In addition, in both cases, the boards and panels must be adapted, in terms of width and length to the trellis on which they are mounted.
In these conditions, the invention aims to provide a closure of fence panel easy to implement on any type of fence and providing maximum occultation, even in windy conditions.
For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a fence closure panel referred to as a welded wire mesh, the panel being, in position on the fence, integral with at least one vertical or horizontal rod constituting the welded mesh of the fence comprising parallel vertical rods connected, by welding, to horizontal rods arranged perpendicularly to the vertical rods, the panel comprising at least a first line, made in the vicinity of one of the edges of the panel, panel fasteners on the free ends of the vertical rods and the panel also comprising at least a first fold line of a zone adjacent the edge of the panel against the mesh when the panel is fixed on the vertical rods, characterized in that the fasteners of the first line are formed by through holes defining receiving housing free ends of the vertical rods.
In this way, it is easy not only to mount a panel on the fence and to press the latter against the lattice by folding. Such a configuration allows to fix the panel against one or other of the faces of the fence, even at the nose. It is therefore possible to use large panels, which facilitates the establishment of the occultation. In addition, the fixing, for example by known means, the panel on the lattice is possible since the latter is pressed against the vertical and horizontal rods. According to advantageous but non-mandatory aspects of the invention, such a panel may include one or more of the following features:

The invention also relates to a method of fixing a panel according to an embodiment according to one of the preceding characteristics, characterized in that it comprises at least the following steps:
- a) positionner le panneau sur le treillis de sorte que les orifices formant les organes de fixation soient en regard d'extrémités libres des tringles verticales,  - a) position the panel on the lattice so that the orifices forming the fasteners are opposite the free ends of the vertical rods,

The invention will be described with reference to a fence called rigid welded mesh. Such a fence is formed of prefabricated trellis panels, fixed between poles, themselves previously placed in the ground. Such a fence is rigid in every respect. Of course, the invention also applies to a fence made from a welded mesh delivered in roll. Such a lattice, once unwound is fixed on poles. It allows a fence whose rigidity is less than that which will be described later. Nevertheless, the assembly of panels, in accordance with the invention on such a fence is possible.
Figure 1 illustrates a preferred embodiment of the invention. A fence 1 is partially illustrated. It comprises a lattice consisting of vertical rods 2, held parallel to one another at regular intervals, by horizontal rods 3. The rods 2 and 3, advantageously made of metal coated with an anti-corrosion protection, are welded together to form the lattice, overall plan over most of its area.
Relief zones 4, also called noses, are regularly provided. They are formed by V-shaped portions of the vertical rods 2 extending beyond the main plane P of the trellis. In other words, the main plane P of the trellis is defined by the horizontal rods 3. The noses 4, in addition to a contribution to the aesthetic appearance of the fence, define reinforcement zones that contribute to the rigidity of the fence when the lattice is in place between the posts. For ease of reading, the posts, known per se, are not illustrated. Here, a mesh formed by two rods 2 and two rods 3 neighbors is rectangular. Alternatively, it is square. The free ends 20 of the vertical rods 2 form the upper edge of the trellis. These ends 20 extend over a distance of up to 50 mm beyond the nearest horizontal rod 3. Alternatively, the ends 20 are tangent to the rod 3. This rod 3 participates in defining the upper edge of the fence.
As shown on the right side of Figure 1, such a fence is very openwork. This allows the passage of air and therefore, in case of strong wind, avoid any deformation or breakage of the fence. On the other hand, when one wants to mask, at least partially, the vision on both sides of the fence, the lattice is not adapted. For this, a panel 5, according to one embodiment of the invention, is placed on the mesh to hide a defined area. Subsequently, only one panel will be described in the different figures.
It is easily understood that, depending on the desired masking, the number of panels used is greater than one. Typically, it is possible to completely hide the lattice and thus to completely obscure the fence 1 with panels. With respect to the respective geometrical dimensions and dimensions of the panels and / or the lattice, the number of panels required on one or more rows is available, the panels being able, if necessary, to overlap partially or to be positioned edge to edge.
Here, the illustrated panel 5, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, is formed by a rectangular metal plate. The panel is made of a metal or metal alloy that is insensitive to environmental conditions. For example it is galvanized or aluminum. In a variant, it is painted. In other embodiments it is made of another material, for example of polymers or composite material (s). In all cases, the material or materials constituting the panel provide rigidity of the latter while being flexible enough to be folded without damage.
For this it is possible to have panels comprising areas of a flexible material and others of a rigid material. Here, the panel 5 is galvanized steel prepainted and has a length of about 1700 mm for a width of 500 mm and a thickness of 0.35 mm. Such a thickness makes it possible to ensure the rigidity of the panel 5 while allowing easy folding of specific zones.
As is apparent from FIG. 1, the panel 5 is folded at zones 6 of shapes and dimensions that are complementary to the noses 4. The panel 5 comprises at least one fold line 7 situated in the vicinity of one of its edges, in the upper edge 8 when the panel 5 is in place on the fence 1. Regardless of the number and / or the position of the folded areas 6, including when these areas are absent due to the absence of nose on the lattice, at least one fold line 7 is present.
As will become more fully apparent later, when describing the placement of a panel, the fold line 7 is adjacent a first line 9 of fasteners 10 of the panel 5 on the mesh. The fold line 7 is formed on the solid part of the edge 8, at the rear of the line 9 with respect to the edge 8. The fasteners 10 are formed by through holes, regularly arranged along a line 9, this on the entire width L5 of the panel 5. Line 9 is adjacent at the edge 8 as is particularly visible in Figures 2 and 3. The orifices 10 are here elongate, substantially oval. In variant not illustrated, they have another geometric shape, for example, rectangular, circular or other.
The orifices 10 form receiving housings for the free ends 20 of the vertical rods 2. For this, the distribution and / or the dimensions of the orifices 10 are adapted to the distribution and / or the dimensions of the ends 20. Thus, an elongated shape orifices 10 facilitate insertion and complementarity of shapes between the ends 20 and the orifices 10 during the establishment of the panel. It is conceivable that, alternatively, the orifices 10 are located on the opposite edge of the panel, so the lower edge 11 as visible in Figure 2, for example. In this case, the fixing of the panel 5 on the lattice is made from the lower part of the fence and not the upper part. In a non-illustrated variant, the attachment is made at the top and bottom of the trellis, the two opposite edges of the panel then being provided with fastening members 10. The installation of the panel will be described later.
The panel 5 also comprises a plurality of perforated zones or strips 12. These strips 12 extend along the width L5 of the panel 5. Several parallel strips 12 thus equip a panel 5. They comprise, as shown in FIG. of orifices 13 of different sizes and or shapes. In all cases, the number, distribution, shapes and / or dimensions of the orifices 13 are adapted to allow the free passage of air and wind through the panel, without the latter being damaged, deformed or disassociated of the fence. Such orifices 13 also contribute to the aesthetic appearance of the fence 1 when the panels 5 are fixed thereon. Moreover, the strips 12 of orifices 13 aligned define a guide means during folding of the panel 5, as specified below.
It is conceivable that the orifices 13 may be arranged in discontinuous strips and / or in continuous strips oriented in a direction other than the width L5 of the panel, for example along the length or a diagonal of the panel 5. This being the case, it is nevertheless necessary that the arrangement of the orifices, and therefore perforated strips, do not alter the mechanical characteristics of the panel 5, in particular its rigidity and its ability to marry, by folding the shape of the lattice, at least as regards a first line 14 of orifices 13 located closer to the edge 8.
As is particularly visible in FIG. 3, this line 14 is parallel and close to the line 9 of orifices 10. In other words, line 14 defines the upper edge of a first perforated strip 120 located in the vicinity of ends 20 of the rods 2. The line 14 of orifices 13 defines, with the line 9 of orifices 10 and the fold line 7, an area of the panel 5 which will be folded during the establishment of the panel 5 on the trellis . It should be noted that the line 9 forms not only a line of fasteners 10 but also a first fold line adapted to ensure the plating of the panel 5 against the face 100 of the lattice opposite to that 101 receiving the panel 5. The second fold line 14 allows, with the fold line 7, to fold a zone 15 located between the lines 9 and 14, in order to bring this zone 15 against the mesh at a first nose 40.
By folding along other fold lines similar to the lines 9 and 14, the zones 6 of the panel 5 are thus formed in abutment against the lattice at the level of the noses 4.
The establishment of the panel 5 against a lattice, from the outer face 101 of the fence, that is to say from that where the nose 4 are in positive relief relative to the main plane p of the fence 1, is now described with reference to Figures 4 to 7. To facilitate the legibility of the implementation kinematics, the panel in Figures 4 to 7 is shown full, the strips 12, 120 not being illustrated.
A first step is to position the panel so that the orifices 10 of the line 9 are opposite the free ends 20 of the rods 2. For this, the shape of the orifices makes it possible to overcome the differences noted in the alignment between the orifices 10. and the ends 20. Once the ends 20 introduced into the orifices 10, as shown in Figures 2 and 3, the panel 5 is away from the mesh. In this position, given the small thickness of the panel, it is easy to bend the end of the panel to position the latter on the ends 20.
By varying the dimensions of the orifices 10, the user, during a second step, induces a pivoting movement of the panel 5, along the arrow F, towards the lower edge 16 of the lattice, and thus in the direction of the ends 21 of the rods 2 opposed to the ends 20. During this movement, the panel 5 is brought closer to the lattice. The panel 5 comes first, supported by a face 150 against a raised portion of the face 101 of the lattice, so against a nose 4. In this case it is the nose 40 located near the line 9 .
The user then folds the panel, according to, in the example, the fold line 7 to press the panel against a flat portion of the lattice located between the ends 20 and the portion 41 of the nose 40 located closest to the ends 20.
The folding continues, along the line 14, to press the panel, at the level of the strip 120, against the second portion 42 of the nose 40 remote from the ends 20. Thus, by this double folding, the panel 5 is configured at the of the band 120 to fit the shape of the nose 40 and to press against the latter. A first folded zone 6 of shape complementary to that of the nose 40 is thus formed.
Figure 4 illustrates the mounting of the panel at the end of these first steps. The panel is then supported, but not pressed against the face 10 of the lattice, because of the presence of a second nose 43 on the lattice. The user then induces a rotational movement along the arrow F1, in the opposite direction of the arrow F, to the portion 50 of the panel 5 located under the second nose 43, so the lower part of the panel 5 when the latter is in place on the fence. This movement is performed along a fold line 91, similar to the fold line 14 and positioned at another perforated band 121. At the end of this movement, the portion 51 of the panel 5 located between the nose 40 and 43 is in abutment against the lattice.
An area 52 of the portion 50 of the panel 5 located below the fold line 91 bears against an area of the nose 43, similar to the area 41 of the first nose 40. The establishment of the panel 5 continues by performing a downward movement according to the arrow F2. This movement is similar to that carried out first according to the arrow F. It allows to press a zone of the portion 50 against the other part of the nose 43. For this, the folding is performed along a line 92 of orifices 13 parallel to line 91.
The folding of the panel 5 is continued in such an alternating pivoting movement until the entire panel is pressed against the lattice and the nose. At the end of these steps, the panel 5 is in the configuration illustrated in FIG.
In order to secure the installation of the panel 5, it is permanently fixed or removable, the latter on the lattice using staples, straps, links, necklaces, for example toothed collars marketed under the Colson® necklace name. For this purpose the user uses the passage defined by two adjacent orifices 10 to ensure the fixing of the panel, taking care to surround a rod 2 or 3 during this movement.
Figures 12 and 13 illustrate another method of fixing the panel 5 on the lattice. Here, the shape of the orifices 110, generally four-leaf clover, and their provisions are used. Indeed, as shown in Figure 12, the orifices 110 have two legs 111 formed by cutting or by another technique known per se. The tabs 111 are oriented towards the inside of the orifice 110 and face each other by their free ends. When the panel bears against the mesh, a solid portion 112 located between the bases of the lugs 111 of two adjacent and aligned orifices 110 is in line with a bead wire 2. The width of the portion 112 corresponds to the diameter of the rod 2, or its width if it is not circular. The user then folds the tabs 111 in the direction of one another by surrounding the portion of the rod 2 located under the solid portion 112.
As shown in Figures 13 and 13A, it crimps, by pinching a portion of the panel, the latter on the lattice. Such a method of attachment is particularly interesting because it allows to easily adapt the panel to the lattice, with no other tool than a clamp, or without tools by manual pinching. The number of attachment points is variable and chosen according to the needs of the user. It is conceivable that other forms of orifices are possible, provided that the principle of fixing by pinching a portion of the panel around a portion of a rod of the trellis is respected.
The invention has been described, by way of example in the various figures, for fixing a panel, from the upper edge of the fence and on the face 101 of the trellis facing outwards of the area to be fenced. Alternatively, the face 101 is oriented towards the interior of the area to be fenced. This arrangement is illustrated, schematically, in FIG. 8, with a side view of the trellis according to two variant embodiments, namely with partial or total plating of the panel against the trellis. It is conceivable that, similarly, the mounting of such a panel is not from the top of the fence but from the bottom. In this configuration, illustrated in Figure 10, the line 9 of orifices 10 is located at the bottom and the orifices 10 receive the free ends 21 of the rods 2. In this case, the attachment of the panel 5 on the ends 21 of the 2 rods is advantageously made on prefabricated truss plates, before the fixing of the latter on the posts of the fence. Such a solution also makes it possible to secure the placement of the panels, a withdrawal being more difficult.
Figures 9 and 11 illustrate other ways of mounting the panel, the latter being, as in Figure 8, in total or partial contact with the mesh. In Figures 9 and 11 the assembly is carried out, respectively, from the ends 20 and 21 of the rods 2, but on the face 100 of the trellis oriented, for example, towards the interior of the fenced area. In this case, the panel is no longer accessible from the outside, which is a guarantee of securing the occultation for the user. In the configuration with full contact, the panel is pressed against the inner face of the nose.
It is conceivable that the user can, for the different configurations, choose to orient the face 100 of the lattice not towards the inside of the zone to be fenced but towards the outside.
In other non-illustrated embodiments, the panels are provided on some edges with seals ensuring partial overlap of the panels in place on the lattice and maximum concealment.
It is conceivable that the placement of the panels can also be performed on the trellis plates, before fixing them on the posts.
