In this way, the volume of the cavity 12 of the chamber 14 is changed in response to the rotation of the output shaft 22 a of the drive motor 22.
- the mechanism 20 preferably has an eccentric or a connecting rod in order to convert the rotational movement of the output shaft 22a of the drive motor 22 into a reciprocal longitudinal movement for the reciprocal deflection of the diaphragm 18.
- other types of drive are conceivable, which cause a deflection of the diaphragm 18 to the volume change of the cavity 12.
- the reciprocal movement of the membrane 18 thereby causes a change in the volume of the cavity 12 between a minimum volume and a maximum volume, so that in the opening 8, a stimulating pressure field is generated.
- This can also be done, for example, electromagnetically, piezoelectrically, pneumatically or hydraulically.
- the arrangement must be such that the ratio of volume change to minimum volume is not smaller than 1/10 and preferably not smaller than 1/8, so that the ratio of minimum volume to volume change is not greater than 10 and preferably not greater than 8, since otherwise the suction effect is too low during the movement of the membrane 18 in the direction of the opening 8 away. Furthermore, according to the invention, the arrangement is also such that the ratio of volume change to minimum volume is not greater than 1 and preferably not greater than 1/2, so that the ratio of minimum volume to volume change is not less than 1 and preferably not less than 2, otherwise, on the one hand, the power requirement of the drive motor 22 becomes too great and, on the other hand, too great a negative pressure arises during the movement of the diaphragm 18 in the direction of the opening 8. In this way, by means of the drive motor 22 driven by the flexible membrane 18 alternately under and overpressures in the cavity 12 of the chamber 14 are generated.
- the volume of the cavity 12 is defined as the volume of the chamber 14 which ends in the region of the opening 8 on a virtual planar surface, which imaginary closes the opening 8 when the diaphragm 18 is in its zero or middle position.
- the minimum volume of the cavity 12 is defined by the fact that the opening 8 of the cavity 12 is imaginarily closed with a virtual plane surface and the membrane 18 is in a position with the smallest distance to the opening 8 and thus in its maximum towards the opening 8 deflected state is located.
- the maximum volume of the cavity 12 is defined by the fact that the opening 8 of the cavity 12 is imaginarily closed with a virtual plane surface and the membrane 18 is in a position with the greatest distance to the opening 8 and thus in a direction away from the opening 8 maximum deflected state is located.
- the drive motor 22 which is an electric motor in the described embodiment, connected via an electrical cable 24 to an electronic control circuit board 26 which drives the drive motor 22.
- a battery 30 is connected to the control circuit board 26 via an electric wire 28, which supplies the drive motor 22 and the control circuit board 26 with the necessary electric power provided.
- the battery 30 may be either a non-rechargeable battery or a rechargeable battery.
- the battery 30 is arranged in the second end portion 2b of the housing 2, whereby the housing 2 is well balanced when the pressure wave massager 1 is held in the hand by the user.
- a power button 32 is provided, which can be actuated for switching on and off of the pressure wave massage device 1 from the outside of the housing 2 and in the slender middle section 2c of the housing 2 is arranged. Also, in the slender middle section 2c of the housing 2, a pushbutton 34 to be actuated from the outside, with which different operating states of the pressure wave massaging device 1 can be adjusted, and a control light 36, which is preferably designed as a light-emitting diode and visible from the outside, are arranged.

- the electronic control circuit board 26 also the charging management of the battery 30.
- the control circuit board 26 is connected via an electrical cable 38 to charging contacts 40, which are arranged on the front side of the second end portion 2b of the housing 2 and are accessible from the outside, like the FIGS. 1 to 3 reveal.
- An external charging device can be connected to these connection contacts 40 via a plug with magnetic plug contacts, which can be brought into contact with the connection contacts 40 for producing an electrical connection due to magnetic forces.
- the described pressure wave massaging device 1 is designed as a handheld device and is placed for use with the grommet 6 on a not shown in the figures, to be stimulated body part so that it is substantially enclosed in the region of the opening 8 of the spout 6.
- the body part to be stimulated is then alternately exposed to different air pressures by the reciprocal movement of the membrane 18.
- the pressure wave massager 1 with its spout 6 on the body part to be stimulated not too strong contact pressures are exerted largely escape any relative overpressures that may arise during the respective movement of the diaphragm 18 in the direction of the opening 8, so therefore essentially the in Fig.
- the cross-section of the cavity 12 of the chamber 14 is substantially constant over substantially the entire length L, this results in the operation that the air flow velocity over the entire length L of the cavity 12 is substantially constant. In this way, a particularly effective air flow for effective stimulation of the body part to be stimulated with relatively low power consumption of the drive motor 22 can be generated.
- the control circuit board 26 preferably has a memory, not shown in the figures, in which various modulation patterns are stored are. By appropriate operation of the button 34, a desired modulation pattern can be selected to then drive the drive motor 22 accordingly.

Accordingly, the invention is characterized by a single-chamber solution, the advantages of a simpler structure, improved hygiene, in particular due to an easier flushability of the invention formed only by a single chamber cavity, and in the ease of use with lubricant or under water.
Furthermore, according to the invention, the ratio of minimum volume to volume change is not greater than 10, since it has been found that otherwise the suction effect becomes too low. The volume change is the difference between Maximum and minimum volumes. The volume of the cavity is defined as that volume of the chamber which ends in the region of the opening on a virtual planar surface which closes the opening imaginarily.
Furthermore, the ratio of minimum volume to volume change should not be less than 1, since it has been found according to the invention that otherwise the power requirement of the drive device becomes too great and, on the other hand, an excessive and possibly painful negative pressure arises at the opening.
When using a flexible membrane to be displaced in a reciprocal motion by the drive means for alternately generating underpressure and overpressure, the minimum volume of the cavity is defined as the volume when the opening of the cavity is imaginarily closed with a virtual planar surface and the membrane in an operating state or a position with the least distance from the opening. In contrast, the maximum volume of the cavity of the chamber is defined as the volume when the opening of the cavity is imaginarily closed with a virtual planar surface and the membrane is in an operating state or a position with the greatest distance from the opening.
In order to achieve a uniform, unhindered and thus effective air flow, it is provided according to the invention that the side wall of the chamber bounding the cavity and connecting its two ends is free of points of discontinuity.
Characterized in that according to the invention, the cavity of the chamber is closed at its inner second end with a flexible membrane which extends substantially over the entire cross section of the cavity and is moved by the drive means alternately in the direction of the opening and in this opposite direction leaves Create the stimulating pressure field in the cavity of the present invention provided single chamber in a particularly simple and effective way.
Preferred embodiments and further developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.
Preferably, the ratio of volume change to the minimum volume can not be less than 1/8 and / or not greater than 1/2. Preferably, the membrane is made of silicone.
Conveniently, the cavity of the chamber may have the shape of a continuous tube.
It has been found to be particularly advantageous, the ratio of the width of the cavity of the chamber defined transversely to its longitudinal extent to the length of the cavity of the chamber defined in the direction of its longitudinal extent preferably between 0.1 and 1.0, preferably between 0.2 and 0, 6, in particular between 0.38 and 0.4, to dimension.
For reasons of hygiene, it is furthermore advantageous if the section of the chamber containing the opening is preferably provided as an exchangeable spout whose inner side wall forms a section of the side wall of the cavity leading to the opening. Conveniently, the spout should be made of flexible material, preferably of silicone.
In a further development of the preferred embodiment specified above, the inner side wall of the spout forms a substantially continuous, the first end with the second end of the cavity and thus the opening of the spout with the membrane connecting side wall of the cavity and the spout together with the membrane together one-piece component. Such a preferred development offers due to the integral connection of spout and membrane a particularly simple to manufacture construction and also has additional hygienic advantages, since the entire component can be replaced membrane and spout, which is possible only with the inventively realized single-chamber solution.
Preferably, the pressure field should consist of a pattern of relative negative and positive pressures which are modulated to a reference pressure, preferably normal pressure. Conveniently, the amount of the relative overpressure, based on the normal pressure, smaller than the amount of the relative negative pressure, based on the normal pressure, and is preferably not more than 10% of the amount of the relative negative pressure. Because it has been found that under normal conditions of use, when the pressure wave massaging device is placed on the body part to be stimulated by not too strong contact pressures when placed, any occurring relative overpressures can largely escape, so that already from these rather actual considerations of focus is to be directed to a predominantly in the negative pressure range to be modulated pressure field. For this reason, it is alternatively also conceivable that the pressure field consists of a pattern of only relative negative pressures, which are modulated on a reference pressure, preferably to the normal pressure. In a further preferred development, the pressure field is generated with a substantially sinusoidal-periodic pressure profile, for which purpose the drive device changes regularly the volume of the cavity, for example by means of a Exzentermechanik, must effect.
Preferably, a control device may be provided, which controls the drive device and has at least one operating means by which a respective modulation of the pressure field is variable.
Conveniently, the device should be designed as, preferably powered by a battery, handset.
