Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device with a foam molded part, which is particularly suitable for enabling the user to release or mobilize blockages in the vertebral joints independently and without outside help in everyday life while lying, sitting or standing.
  • Back pain is usually not caused by muscle weakness in the back muscles, the cause is very often that the muscles are in a permanent state of stress to achieve the necessary stretching. This means that the back muscles are constantly trying to bring the vertebral joints into the intended upright position. A painful overload is the result.
  • a back muscle is not able to stretch blocked joints, because a blocked joint is stiff and usually restricted in its joint mobility. Therefore, relief can be achieved through targeted stretching mobilization of the vertebral joints.
  • the US20120110742A1 relates to a support device for supporting part of the body of an object on a support platform which defines the contact area of the Body maximized over which the weight of the body is distributed.
  • the neck support element presses the central headrest element and the middle section of the neck support element downwards.
  • the central support member cooperates with the neck support member and with the primary and secondary side members and first and second platform engaging members such that, in the loaded condition, downward movement of the central support member 12 and the central portion of the neck support member 17 causes the primary and secondary side panels 22 and 23 to the adjacent sides of the head 26 and neck 27, respectively.
  • US6789282B1 The primary goal of US6789282B1 is to provide a custom orthopedic leg support device that has a natural, secure, and comfortable fit that can be used to support and maintain an individual's natural spinal alignment while lying in a side-lying position. This is said to be accomplished by providing a leg pad having a thigh channel and pad connected by a bridge having an upper surface and a planar lower surface.
  • the cushion has at least one flexible channel, preferably one at each end and adjacent to the bottom surface of the bridge, allowing the bridge to be deformable and resilient.
  • the upper surface of the pads have terminal ends that define a single leg clasp for clasping a user's first inner thigh.
  • a second inner thigh is placed on the lower planar surface of the elastic bridge and the flexible channels allow the bridge to conform precisely to the contours of the second inner thigh.
  • a lower thigh support device which is generally biconcave in the longitudinal direction and consists of two outer layers of lower density polyurethane foam and a middle layer of higher density polyurethane foam.
  • the opposing outer layers are contour cut to provide two width channels traversing opposing top and bottom outer layers of the device.
  • the canals form universally contouring C-shaped brackets and support an individual's thighs as well as the top of the knee joints by maintaining them in the normal anatomical position.
  • the US20020088057A1 relates to cushions for therapeutic use.
  • the cushion features a pivoting butterfly design that allows movement of the cushion components between a closed position and an open position.
  • These convertible features provide a versatile cushion that can be used for a variety of purposes.
  • the pillow can be used to support and align a person's head, elevate a person's legs, place a person's legs, or perform a variety of similar functions.
  • the musculature is not able to mobilize the vertebral joints. Rather, it must be assumed that a muscle needs a joint function that is easy to move in order to remain healthy and therefore pain-free.
  • the straightening of the spine is controlled by the sternum.
  • a drop in the sternum when sitting on a chair, armchair and car seat is dictated by the convex shape of the back seat.
  • the spine In this position, the spine is permanently held in a bent position.
  • the goal is therefore to mobilize an improved auto-functional spinal straightening (sternal straightening).
  • the technical task was therefore to provide a device or a device that induces the straightening of the spine and enables the mobilization of the vertebrae.
  • this object is achieved by a device for releasing or mobilizing blockages in vertebral joints of a spine, comprising a width and a length as well as a foam molded part that is approximately semicircular in longitudinal section and has a longitudinal side, a convex upper side and a concave lower side, as well as two along the longitudinal side running lateral surfaces, whereby the convex upper side and the concave lower side meet at two rounded edges, so that the lower side of the foam molding has two rounded support edges as a transition from the concave lower side to the convex upper side, and the concave lower side forms a bulge spanning a base , wherein the convex upper side has a recess with a longitudinal axis that runs transversely and symmetrically in the middle of the longitudinal side and runs continuously from one side surface to the other side surface, wherein the width of the device corresponds to the longitudinal axis of the recess and the recess has a horizontal longitudinal extension which is
  • the foam molded part according to the invention can be used as a mobilization aid for releasing blockages between the vertebrae of the spine, namely in that, according to the invention, for the first time a device for releasing or mobilizing blockages in the vertebral joints of a spine is provided with a width and length based on a foam molded part with a semicircle - or crescent-shaped longitudinal section, with the upper side being convex and the lower side concave, as well as two side surfaces, whereby the upper and lower side meet at two rounded support edges of the foam part, the convex upper side has a transverse recess that runs from one side surface to the other side surface , Wherein two via a connecting bridge having a joint function in connection molded leg are formed with the top side arranged leg projections so that through a connecting bridge down and the If the load on the bearing edges pushes outwards, the leg projections perform a pincer movement, a blockade mobilization on the spine can be caused for the first time by pressing the back
  • a flexibility or articulation function is formed between the crest line of the bottom of the recess and the crest line of the concave underside and thus in the connecting bridge in such a way that the two opposing limb projections move when contact pressure is applied to the upper side, in particular in the area of the limb projections , a foam molding arranged on a load-bearing base, can move towards one another.
  • the volume of the recess decreases as in figure 2 shown.
  • the concave underside forms a bulge which preferably, but not necessarily, extends between the bearing edges.
  • the joint or bending function of the device according to the invention can be influenced.
  • the following parameters, among others, are to be taken into account: The radius of the curvature, the width of the curvature, the height of the curvature, the latter parameters always in relation to the other geometric structural parameters of the device, such as the length of the device, the width of the connecting bridge , i.e. in particular the distance between the crest of the bottom of the recess and the crest of the concave bottom.
  • the recess comprises a head opening and a neck opening, in particular to form the leg projection and also to improve the forceps function of the device according to the invention, the head opening taperingly merging into the neck opening.
  • An advantageous development according to the invention consists in the head opening being embodied elliptically in the longitudinal section at least partially, in particular at least partially in the vicinity of the connecting bridge.
  • the connecting bridge is given a downward arched shape on the upper side, the course or radius of which also determines the flexibility and thus the joint function of the connecting bridge.
  • the bending ability of the connecting bridge is reduced with increasing bending radius of the arch and vice versa.
  • leg projections lie opposite one another at an angle. In this way, in particular, access to the vertebrae to be loosened can be improved.
  • transition from the head to the neck opening is designed in an S-shape in longitudinal section.
  • the S-shape causes a spring effect in particular between the leg projections and the connecting bridge.
  • the edges of the leg projections are rounded along the recess. This enables a blunt crimping pliers grip, which improves the comfort of use.
  • edge geometries are also conceivable for specific applications, in which the edge is designed as a pointed edge, for example.
  • the recess is 40 to 60 mm wide, 25 to 35 mm high, rounded off with 6 to 9 mm radii on the inside of the recess (R1) and 8 to 12 mm on the edges of the legs (R2), 14 to 30 mm radii on the lower support edges (R3); where the radii at the top (R4) are 70 to 80 mm, the lower radius (R5) 55 to 60 mm (concave) and bottom radius in the recess (R6) 55 to 60 mm (convex).
  • the dimensions are as follows: length (perpendicular to the axis of the recess): 150 mm; width (longitudinal axis of the recess): 100 mm; Height: 90mm; the recess is 50 mm wide, 30 mm high and rounded with 7.5 mm radii on the inside of the recess (R1), 10 mm on the edges of the legs (R2), 17 mm radii on the lower support edges (R3) , and the radii at the top (R4) are 75mm, the bottom radius (R5) is 57.5mm (concave), and the bottom radius (R6) in the recess is 57.5mm (convex), respectively.
  • the foam molded part is made from polyethylene foam, in particular chemically crosslinked, closed-cell polyethylene foam. More preferably, the foam molding is made of a material which has a bulk density of 35 to 55 kg/m3, preferably 38 to 52 kg/m3 and more preferably 40 to 50 kg/m3.
  • the foam molding is made of a material which has a tensile strength according to ISO standard 1798 of more than 200 kPa, preferably more than 240 kPa, particularly preferably up to 350 kPa, more preferably up to 300 kPa.
  • the foam molding is made of a material which has an elongation at break according to ISO standard 1798 of more than 100%, preferably more than 120%.

  • the foam molding is made from a material which has a dimensional stability according to ISO standard 2796 of less than 5%.
  • the foam molded part is made from a material which has a Shore hardness of more than 42 Shore OO.
  • a fastening means is attached to the foam molded part for fastening to a backrest, in particular to a backrest of a chair or armchair.
  • the fastening means can be attached to the underside of the foam molding or can run through a bore of the same.
  • the fastening means is fastened to the molded foam part by means of a through-hole, with the through-hole running parallel to the recess.
  • the fastening means is a belt or belt containing a fastener for opening and closing the belt or belt.
  • the fastening means can also be a rubber band, in which case the presence of a fastener is not necessary.
  • the device according to the invention or the foam molding according to the invention also advantageously contains an insert which is arranged in the recess, preferably in the head area.
  • Different pincer preloads can be generated with the inlay. This can be expedient in particular if the device or the foam molding is to be adjusted to different body weights or different forceps actions.
  • a further aspect according to the invention also consists in a use of the device according to the invention of the type described herein for use in the treatment of blockages between the vertebrae of a spinal column.
  • the use is characterized in particular by the fact that it includes the positioning of the device between a vertebral section and a support area for the device, with the recess on the top of the foam molding being arranged transversely to the vertebral section to be mobilized, the use involving the pressing of the foam molding between the Swirl section and the support area includes such that the leg projections move towards each other at the vertebral section.
  • step a. up to step d. The sequence of steps in step a. up to step d. observed, i.e. after mobilizing the vertebrae of the sacrum (sacrum), those of the lumbo-thoracic (transition between the lumbar spine and the thoracic spine) should be mobilized. This is followed by mobilization of the sternum (breastbone) and finally ends with mobilization of the thoracocervical (transition of thoracic spine and cervical spine) in order to achieve an optimized press mobilization of the spine with the device according to the invention.
  • the mobilization sequence is based in particular on the knowledge that the spine only functions when the sternum and sacrum are in an optimal relationship.
  • mobilization is understood according to the invention as applying the device according to the invention in its width directly on the vertebra, whereby applying the forceps intervention according to the invention can cause immediate mobilization and correction of defined parts of the vertebrae.
  • the lumbar spine becomes stiff. That is, the lumbar vertebrae lose their lordosis (sway). The result is blockages and restricted mobility. This steep position also results in a compression load on the lower lumbar vertebrae L4 and L5. This leads to high wear and tear on the L4 and L5 discs, where most herniated discs occur.
  • the second most common disc damage occurs on the 6th and 7th cervical vertebrae. This is because the transitions are identical, i.e. the spinal transition from the sacrum to the lumbar spine and that from the thoracic spine to the cervical spine is convex-concave.
  • the foam molding is placed with the top (the side containing the notch) on the patient's back such that the notch on the top of the foam molding is positioned at right angles to the spine and to the vertebra to be mobilized.
  • the foam molding is pressed against the back.
  • the molded foam part deforms in such a way that the two legs of the molded foam part move towards one another (whereby the volume of the recess decreases).
  • the two mobilization legs of the molded foam part move closer together.
  • the vertebral processes are carried along by the limbs and moved towards one another. This movement towards each other causes the tension in the muscles to decrease and makes it easier to mobilize the vertebral joints.
  • the pretension of the muscles is reduced.
  • direct action on the vertebral joints (facet joints) to be mobilized is easier to achieve.
  • the vertebra is brought into an extension position (stretching) by the pressure contact with the radius of the foam molding. A brief contact is enough to notice a noticeable relief.
  • the pressing function can be dosed individually.
  • passive and active mobilization options In the case of passive mobilization, the molded foam part is positioned on the vertebra to be mobilized in the supine position and the back is placed on the molded foam part in such a way that the recess on the upper side of the molded foam part runs transversely to the spine. The patient remains in this position for a few minutes. It is important to ensure calm and relaxed breathing. This process is repeated on several sections of the spine. The aim of this mobilization is a significantly more relaxed position. If the patient feels relaxed lying down, a better erection (standing up straight) is also noticeable.
  • This mobilization technique can be carried out on various surfaces such as the floor, sofa, bed. The patient, who can lie relaxed in this way, can also stand and walk in a relaxed manner.
  • the molded foam part is positioned between the backrest and back while sitting, so that the recess on the top of the molded foam part runs across the spine.
  • the backrest should have a closed surface and ideally reach up to the shoulder.
  • the positioning of the molded foam part between the backrest and back leads to a significantly better erection without increased muscle activity.
  • the molded foam part serves as an uprighting aid.
  • the vertebral blockage is released with a short impulse.
  • This mobilization can be carried out standing in a door frame or in a car, for example.
  • the patient stands in a door frame with the foam molding positioned between one side of the door frame and the back, and the patient places his hands against the other side of the door frame, applying down pressure with his arms slightly bent.
  • the impulse should be exhaled.
  • This mobilization can also be carried out in the driver's seat in the motor vehicle, since the distance between the steering wheel and the upper body results in an optimal arm angle, which can also be individually adjusted.
  • When performing the impulse pay attention to lifting the head and sternum.
  • Convex-shaped backrests cause the sternum and the entire thorax (chest) to sink.
  • the extensive contact of the back with the backrest results in a permanent flexed position, the vertebral joints are in a permanent flexed position (bent position).
  • the Joint partners of the vertebral joints facet joints
  • Increased adhesion develops. High adhesion forces lead to joint blockages and thus to a restriction or even a complete loss of movement in the affected joints.
  • the molded foam part eliminates the convexity of the backrest by creating a gap between the back and the backrest. This gives the back the opportunity to stretch. The shoulder blades become free and the shoulder muscles relax.
  • the sternum comes out of the flexed position and assumes its physiological position, which raises the lower rib cage and reduces abdominal pressure, the abdominal wall tightens, the abdominal muscles absorb their basic physiological tension and thus better as an agonist of the back muscles can work. This improves lung function and lower lung ventilation.
  • the molded foam part according to the invention acts on the tension due to its pressing function in the form of bringing the two mobilization legs closer together, thereby enabling direct mobilization of the vertebral joints. Mobilizing the vertebral joints is only possible by reducing muscle tension. This is required in chiromobilization and also in manual therapy by the therapist with the request to "let go”. Direct and, above all, targeted mobilization is only possible if the muscles reduce their tension. The result is improved joint mobility, which enables the vertebral body to assume its statically correct position. The spine is thus able to balance itself vertically.
  • the foam molding according to the invention works directly and precisely on the joint. This is another difference to other mobilization aids.
  • the device according to the invention with foam molding 1 is shown in a schematic side view, with the foam molding 1 resting with the upper side 2 on the spine 14, the device not yet being pressed or compressed between the base 13 and the spine 14 in operation.
  • the foam molding 1 has an approximately semicircular or crescent-shaped longitudinal section (plane of the page) and has a convex upper side 2 and a concave lower side 3.
  • the concave lower side 3 forms a bulge 3 spanning the base 13 .
  • the two corners of the semicircle are rounded, so that the underside 3 of the foam molding 1 has two rounded support edges 4, which form the beginning and end of the bulge 3.
  • the convex upper side 2 has a recess 5 running transversely and symmetrically in the center of the longitudinal side. This recess runs continuously from one side surface to the other side surface of the foam molding 1.
  • the recess 5 has a head opening 5.1 and a neck opening 5.2, the head opening 5.1 taperingly merging into the neck opening 5.2 and leg projections 6.1 being formed on the molded foam part 1, which give the transition profile between the head opening 5.1 and the neck opening 5.2 an S-shape on the right-hand side and a twisted S-shape on the left-hand side.
  • the horizontal lengthwise extent of the recess 5 being smaller than that of the bulge 3.
  • the foam molding 1 is divided into two crescent-shaped molded legs 6, which are connected via a connecting bridge 6.2.
  • the two leg projections 6.1 which are at the upper end of the molded leg 6, protrude beyond the recess 5 in part and face each other at an angle.
  • the leg projections 6.1 are part of a fascia forceps 15 formed by the device according to the invention, which has rounded forceps jaws 6.3 at their ends.
  • This flexibility of the foam molding 1 allows the two opposing leg projections 6.1 to move towards each other when a force is applied between the top 2 and underside 3 of the foam molding, i.e. when the Foam molding is pressed onto the base 13.
  • the connecting bridge 6.2 forms the pivot point 6.5, whereby (see 2 ) when pressure is applied to the upper side 2, in particular in the area of the leg projections 6.1, the connecting bridge 6.2 is pressed essentially vertically in the direction of the base 13, which is indicated by the movement arrow P1, as a result of which the bearing edges 4 on the base 13 are spread apart and slip away on the outside, which is shown as indicated by the directional arrows P2.1 and P2.2, whereby the shaped part legs 6 are tilted in opposite directions about the pincer pivot point 6.5 located in the connecting bridge 6.2 (see directional arrows P3.1 and P3.2) and, as it were, the leg projections 6.1 and their Jaws 6.3 are moved towards one another, with the leg projections 6.1 covering or reinforced covering the head opening 5.1, the volume of the recess 5 is reduced is and the radius of curvature of the bulge 3 increases.
  • the foam molded part 1 is compressed in height, ie reduced, and the length increases and the pivot point 6.5 of the pliers
  • the joint function of the connecting bridge 6.2 depends on various parameters, e.g. the width, in particular the minimum width 6.6 of the connecting bridge 6.2, the material or material composite of the connecting bridge 6.2, the radius of curvature of the elliptically shaped head opening 5.1 and the radius of curvature of the bulge 3.
  • the device 1 according to the invention is still inoperative. But it is already sitting with the recess 4 or the leg projections 6.1 on the back transversely to the spine 14 in the area of the vertebrae 9, with the vertebral processes 10 and the intervertebral discs 12, the vertebral joint 11 showing a blockage and as a result the intervertebral disc 12.1 is compressed (a facet joint blockade causes a compression of the intervertebral disc).

Description

The present invention relates to a device with a foam molded part, which is particularly suitable for enabling the user to release or mobilize blockages in the vertebral joints independently and without outside help in everyday life while lying, sitting or standing.

The main cause of chronic back pain is poor posture. Back pain is usually not caused by muscle weakness in the back muscles, the cause is very often that the muscles are in a permanent state of stress to achieve the necessary stretching. This means that the back muscles are constantly trying to bring the vertebral joints into the intended upright position. A painful overload is the result. However, a back muscle is not able to stretch blocked joints, because a blocked joint is stiff and usually restricted in its joint mobility. Therefore, relief can be achieved through targeted stretching mobilization of the vertebral joints.

In the case of the headrest device, for example, the neck support element presses the central headrest element and the middle section of the neck support element downwards. The central support member cooperates with the neck support member and with the primary and secondary side members and first and second platform engaging members such that, in the loaded condition, downward movement of the central support member 12 and the central portion of the neck support member 17 causes the primary and secondary side panels 22 and 23 to the adjacent sides of the head 26 and neck 27, respectively.

The primary goal of US6789282B1 is to provide a custom orthopedic leg support device that has a natural, secure, and comfortable fit that can be used to support and maintain an individual's natural spinal alignment while lying in a side-lying position. This is said to be accomplished by providing a leg pad having a thigh channel and pad connected by a bridge having an upper surface and a planar lower surface. The cushion has at least one flexible channel, preferably one at each end and adjacent to the bottom surface of the bridge, allowing the bridge to be deformable and resilient. The upper surface of the pads have terminal ends that define a single leg clasp for clasping a user's first inner thigh. A second inner thigh is placed on the lower planar surface of the elastic bridge and the flexible channels allow the bridge to conform precisely to the contours of the second inner thigh.

The primary goal of US6154905A is to provide a flexible lower thigh support device that can be used to support an individual to lie in either a supine or side recumbent position. To this end, a lower thigh support device is provided which is generally biconcave in the longitudinal direction and consists of two outer layers of lower density polyurethane foam and a middle layer of higher density polyurethane foam. The opposing outer layers are contour cut to provide two width channels traversing opposing top and bottom outer layers of the device. The canals form universally contouring C-shaped brackets and support an individual's thighs as well as the top of the knee joints by maintaining them in the normal anatomical position.

The cushion features a pivoting butterfly design that allows movement of the cushion components between a closed position and an open position. These convertible features provide a versatile cushion that can be used for a variety of purposes. The pillow can be used to support and align a person's head, elevate a person's legs, place a person's legs, or perform a variety of similar functions.

  • schmerzfreie Bewegungsmuskulatur
  • schmerzfreie Haltemuskulatur (tiefliegende Rückenmuskeln)
  • keine entzündlichen Wirbel, Wirbelgelenke, Bandscheiben und Nervenwurzeln.
The term "autofunctional spinal alignment" refers to the ability of the spine to bring itself into vertical balance. This is only possible under the following conditions:
  • easy stretching of the vertebral joints (physiological joint adhesion)
  • no blocked vertebral joints
  • Sufficient distribution of the synovial fluid (synovia) between the joint partners
  • pain-free musculoskeletal system
  • pain-free postural muscles (deep back muscles)
  • no inflammatory vertebrae, vertebral joints, intervertebral discs and nerve roots.

The muscle always reacts to the state of the joints. If a joint shows restricted movement (contracture), the muscles still try to move the joint. If this is difficult or only possible to a limited extent, the muscles react with mostly painful tension. Constantly tense muscles increase the risk of muscle strains such as lumbago (lumbago) and cervico (stiff neck).

The musculature is not able to mobilize the vertebral joints. Rather, it must be assumed that a muscle needs a joint function that is easy to move in order to remain healthy and therefore pain-free.

Aufgabe der Erfindungobject of the invention

The straightening of the spine is controlled by the sternum. A drop in the sternum when sitting on a chair, armchair and car seat is dictated by the convex shape of the back seat. In this position, the spine is permanently held in a bent position. In order to cope with the flexion of the spine and the problems it causes, it is necessary to get the sternum back into its physiological position, which raises the lower costal arch, relieves abdominal pressure, tightens the abdominal wall and the abdominal muscles theirs can absorb physiological basic tension and can therefore act better as an agonist (opponent) of the back muscles. This improves lung function and ventilation of the lower lungs. The goal is therefore to mobilize an improved auto-functional spinal straightening (sternal straightening).

The technical task was therefore to provide a device or a device that induces the straightening of the spine and enables the mobilization of the vertebrae.

According to one embodiment of the invention, this object is achieved by a device for releasing or mobilizing blockages in vertebral joints of a spine, comprising a width and a length as well as a foam molded part that is approximately semicircular in longitudinal section and has a longitudinal side, a convex upper side and a concave lower side, as well as two along the longitudinal side running lateral surfaces, whereby the convex upper side and the concave lower side meet at two rounded edges, so that the lower side of the foam molding has two rounded support edges as a transition from the concave lower side to the convex upper side, and the concave lower side forms a bulge spanning a base , wherein the convex upper side has a recess with a longitudinal axis that runs transversely and symmetrically in the middle of the longitudinal side and runs continuously from one side surface to the other side surface, wherein the width of the device corresponds to the longitudinal axis of the recess and the recess has a horizontal longitudinal extension which is smaller than the curvature, characterized in that two molded part legs connected via a connecting bridge having a joint function and a pincer pivot point have leg projections arranged on the upper side are designed in such a way that the upper ends of the two shaped part limbs partially protrude beyond the recess and have slantingly opposite limb projections with rounded pincer jaws, which, by applying pressure to the limb projections from the top side, press the connecting bridge downwards and the bearing edges outwards by pressing the shaped part limbs in opposite directions the pliers pivot can be tilted and the leg projections perform a pliers movement, so that when using the device in a position with the recess and its longitudinal axis transverse to the spine and to a part of the vertebra to be mobilized, the thigh projections move towards one another to access the vertebrae (9) to be released.

The foam molded part according to the invention can be used as a mobilization aid for releasing blockages between the vertebrae of the spine, namely in that, according to the invention, for the first time a device for releasing or mobilizing blockages in the vertebral joints of a spine is provided with a width and length based on a foam molded part with a semicircle - or crescent-shaped longitudinal section, with the upper side being convex and the lower side concave, as well as two side surfaces, whereby the upper and lower side meet at two rounded support edges of the foam part, the convex upper side has a transverse recess that runs from one side surface to the other side surface , Wherein two via a connecting bridge having a joint function in connection molded leg are formed with the top side arranged leg projections so that through a connecting bridge down and the If the load on the bearing edges pushes outwards, the leg projections perform a pincer movement, a blockade mobilization on the spine can be caused for the first time by pressing the back transversely to the recess of the device according to the invention, in particular causing the connecting bridge to bend, which on the one hand leads to a lateral spreading of the Support edges and on the other hand the thigh protrusions move towards each other, which leads to a pincer grip along the spine, whereby the vertebral processes attacked and thus the vertebrae are moved towards each other, whereby the vertebral joints attacked are mobilized in extension (stretching). will.

In the foam molded part according to the invention, a flexibility or articulation function is formed between the crest line of the bottom of the recess and the crest line of the concave underside and thus in the connecting bridge in such a way that the two opposing limb projections move when contact pressure is applied to the upper side, in particular in the area of the limb projections , a foam molding arranged on a load-bearing base, can move towards one another. The volume of the recess decreases as in figure 2 shown.

It is of course possible according to the invention to adjust the articulation function of the connecting bridge in a suitable and desired manner. This can be done, for example, by selecting the foam material or by increasing or reducing the width of the bridge.

Another advantageous development can also be seen in particular in the fact that the concave underside forms a bulge which preferably, but not necessarily, extends between the bearing edges. With the support of the curvature, the joint or bending function of the device according to the invention can be influenced. According to the invention, the following parameters, among others, are to be taken into account: The radius of the curvature, the width of the curvature, the height of the curvature, the latter parameters always in relation to the other geometric structural parameters of the device, such as the length of the device, the width of the connecting bridge , i.e. in particular the distance between the crest of the bottom of the recess and the crest of the concave bottom.

The recess comprises a head opening and a neck opening, in particular to form the leg projection and also to improve the forceps function of the device according to the invention, the head opening taperingly merging into the neck opening.

An advantageous development according to the invention consists in the head opening being embodied elliptically in the longitudinal section at least partially, in particular at least partially in the vicinity of the connecting bridge. As a result, the connecting bridge is given a downward arched shape on the upper side, the course or radius of which also determines the flexibility and thus the joint function of the connecting bridge. The bending ability of the connecting bridge is reduced with increasing bending radius of the arch and vice versa.

In addition, it can be advantageous according to the invention if the leg projections lie opposite one another at an angle. In this way, in particular, access to the vertebrae to be loosened can be improved. It is also advantageously provided according to the invention that the transition from the head to the neck opening is designed in an S-shape in longitudinal section. The S-shape causes a spring effect in particular between the leg projections and the connecting bridge. When using the device according to the invention, this advantageously leads to the fact that the leg projections bend slightly when engaging in the musculature, in order in this way to obtain optimum access to the vertebral processes underneath.

In a further preferred embodiment, the edges of the leg projections are rounded along the recess. This enables a blunt crimping pliers grip, which improves the comfort of use. Of course, other edge geometries are also conceivable for specific applications, in which the edge is designed as a pointed edge, for example.

In a further preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, a fastening means is attached to the foam molded part for fastening to a backrest, in particular to a backrest of a chair or armchair. The fastening means can be attached to the underside of the foam molding or can run through a bore of the same. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the fastening means is fastened to the molded foam part by means of a through-hole, with the through-hole running parallel to the recess. Furthermore, it is preferred that the fastening means is a belt or belt containing a fastener for opening and closing the belt or belt. Alternatively, the fastening means can also be a rubber band, in which case the presence of a fastener is not necessary.

The device according to the invention or the foam molding according to the invention also advantageously contains an insert which is arranged in the recess, preferably in the head area. Different pincer preloads can be generated with the inlay. This can be expedient in particular if the device or the foam molding is to be adjusted to different body weights or different forceps actions.

A further aspect according to the invention also consists in a use of the device according to the invention of the type described herein for use in the treatment of blockages between the vertebrae of a spinal column. The use is characterized in particular by the fact that it includes the positioning of the device between a vertebral section and a support area for the device, with the recess on the top of the foam molding being arranged transversely to the vertebral section to be mobilized, the use involving the pressing of the foam molding between the Swirl section and the support area includes such that the leg projections move towards each other at the vertebral section.

  1. a. Mobilisieren des Sacrums;
  2. b. Mobilisieren des Lumbothorakals;
  3. c. Mobilisieren des Sternums;
  4. d. Mobilisieren des Thoracozervicals.
An advantageous development of the use is when the following steps and positioning are carried out during pressing for mobilization:
  1. a. mobilize the sacrum;
  2. b. mobilize the lumbo-thoracic;
  3. c. mobilize the sternum;
  4. i.e. Mobilize the thoracocervical.

The mobilization sequence is based in particular on the knowledge that the spine only functions when the sternum and sacrum are in an optimal relationship. Whereby, as can already be seen from the context, mobilization is understood according to the invention as applying the device according to the invention in its width directly on the vertebra, whereby applying the forceps intervention according to the invention can cause immediate mobilization and correction of defined parts of the vertebrae.

Because if the sternum sinks, the lumbar spine becomes stiff.

The second most common disc damage occurs on the 6th and 7th cervical vertebrae. This is because the transitions are identical, i.e. the spinal transition from the sacrum to the lumbar spine and that from the thoracic spine to the cervical spine is convex-concave.

There are many causes of malpositions and they can result, for example, from a tilted shoulder or a tilted pelvis.

Other uses and functions of the device according to the invention result from the following:
In use, the foam molding is placed with the top (the side containing the notch) on the patient's back such that the notch on the top of the foam molding is positioned at right angles to the spine and to the vertebra to be mobilized. The foam molding is pressed against the back. The molded foam part deforms in such a way that the two legs of the molded foam part move towards one another (whereby the volume of the recess decreases). In the pressing phase, the two mobilization legs of the molded foam part move closer together. The vertebral processes are carried along by the limbs and moved towards one another. This movement towards each other causes the tension in the muscles to decrease and makes it easier to mobilize the vertebral joints. By squeezing the molded foam part, the pretension of the muscles is reduced. As a result, direct action on the vertebral joints (facet joints) to be mobilized is easier to achieve. The vertebra is brought into an extension position (stretching) by the pressure contact with the radius of the foam molding. A brief contact is enough to notice a noticeable relief. The pressing function can be dosed individually.

There are passive and active mobilization options:
In the case of passive mobilization, the molded foam part is positioned on the vertebra to be mobilized in the supine position and the back is placed on the molded foam part in such a way that the recess on the upper side of the molded foam part runs transversely to the spine. This mobilization technique can be carried out on various surfaces such as the floor, sofa, bed. The patient, who can lie relaxed in this way, can also stand and walk in a relaxed manner.

For active mobilization, the molded foam part is positioned between the backrest and back while sitting, so that the recess on the top of the molded foam part runs across the spine. The backrest should have a closed surface and ideally reach up to the shoulder. The positioning of the molded foam part between the backrest and back leads to a significantly better erection without increased muscle activity. The molded foam part serves as an uprighting aid. By slightly increasing the contact pressure, the relevant vertebral segment can be mobilized. A slight "clicking" noise may occur, which indicates that the joint pressure has been released. If the joint pressure decreases, the result is better joint mobility. If joint mobility increases, a joint moves much more easily. It follows that the spine has the opportunity for better balance, i.e. perpendicular alignment.

During impulse mobilization, the vertebral blockage is released with a short impulse. This mobilization can be carried out standing in a door frame or in a car, for example. Thus, the patient stands in a door frame with the foam molding positioned between one side of the door frame and the back, and the patient places his hands against the other side of the door frame, applying down pressure with his arms slightly bent. The impulse should be exhaled. This mobilization can also be carried out in the driver's seat in the motor vehicle, since the distance between the steering wheel and the upper body results in an optimal arm angle, which can also be individually adjusted. When performing the impulse, pay attention to lifting the head and sternum.

Sternale AufrichtungSternal erection

Convex-shaped backrests cause the sternum and the entire thorax (chest) to sink. The extensive contact of the back with the backrest results in a permanent flexed position, the vertebral joints are in a permanent flexed position (bent position). the Joint partners of the vertebral joints (facet joints) have less joint surface contact in this position, resulting in increased joint pressure (pressure load kg/cm2). Increased adhesion develops. High adhesion forces lead to joint blockages and thus to a restriction or even a complete loss of movement in the affected joints.

The molded foam part eliminates the convexity of the backrest by creating a gap between the back and the backrest. This gives the back the opportunity to stretch. The shoulder blades become free and the shoulder muscles relax.

The user experiences the impulse of a better erection by leaning on it slightly. The sternum rises significantly, the vertebral joints have better joint surface contact in this position and the joint pressure (pressure load kg/cm2) decreases, which releases the joint blockage.

By using the foam molding according to the invention, the sternum comes out of the flexed position and assumes its physiological position, which raises the lower rib cage and reduces abdominal pressure, the abdominal wall tightens, the abdominal muscles absorb their basic physiological tension and thus better as an agonist of the back muscles can work. This improves lung function and lower lung ventilation.

The molded foam part according to the invention acts on the tension due to its pressing function in the form of bringing the two mobilization legs closer together, thereby enabling direct mobilization of the vertebral joints. Mobilizing the vertebral joints is only possible by reducing muscle tension. This is required in chiromobilization and also in manual therapy by the therapist with the request to "let go". Direct and, above all, targeted mobilization is only possible if the muscles reduce their tension. The result is improved joint mobility, which enables the vertebral body to assume its statically correct position. The spine is thus able to balance itself vertically.

The foam molding according to the invention works directly and precisely on the joint. This is another difference to other mobilization aids.

By using the foam molding according to the invention, an immediately noticeable improvement in straightening can be achieved without requiring increased muscle activity.

In the figure 1 the device according to the invention with foam molding 1 is shown in a schematic side view, with the foam molding 1 resting with the upper side 2 on the spine 14, the device not yet being pressed or compressed between the base 13 and the spine 14 in operation.

The foam molding 1 has an approximately semicircular or crescent-shaped longitudinal section (plane of the page) and has a convex upper side 2 and a concave lower side 3. The concave lower side 3 forms a bulge 3 spanning the base 13 . In relation to the semicircular longitudinal section with its underside 3 cut out as a bulge 3, the two corners of the semicircle are rounded, so that the underside 3 of the foam molding 1 has two rounded support edges 4, which form the beginning and end of the bulge 3.

The convex upper side 2 has a recess 5 running transversely and symmetrically in the center of the longitudinal side. This recess runs continuously from one side surface to the other side surface of the foam molding 1. The recess 5 has a head opening 5.1 and a neck opening 5.2, the head opening 5.1 taperingly merging into the neck opening 5.2 and leg projections 6.1 being formed on the molded foam part 1, which give the transition profile between the head opening 5.1 and the neck opening 5.2 an S-shape on the right-hand side and a twisted S-shape on the left-hand side. Give shape, the horizontal lengthwise extent of the recess 5 being smaller than that of the bulge 3.

In particular, through the recess 5, but also through the curvature 3, the foam molding 1 is divided into two crescent-shaped molded legs 6, which are connected via a connecting bridge 6.2. The two leg projections 6.1, which are at the upper end of the molded leg 6, protrude beyond the recess 5 in part and face each other at an angle. The leg projections 6.1 are part of a fascia forceps 15 formed by the device according to the invention, which has rounded forceps jaws 6.3 at their ends.

The transverse recess 5 in the upper side 2 of the molded foam part 1, together with the curvature 3 on the underside, creates flexibility or a joint function in the central area of the molded foam part 1, i.e. in the connecting bridge 6.2, which connects the molded part legs 6, between the crest line 7 of the bottom of the recess 5 and the crest line 8 of the concave underside 3. This flexibility of the foam molding 1 allows the two opposing leg projections 6.1 to move towards each other when a force is applied between the top 2 and underside 3 of the foam molding, i.e. when the Foam molding is pressed onto the base 13. The connecting bridge 6.2 forms the pivot point 6.5, whereby (see 2 ) when pressure is applied to the upper side 2, in particular in the area of the leg projections 6.1, the connecting bridge 6.2 is pressed essentially vertically in the direction of the base 13, which is indicated by the movement arrow P1, as a result of which the bearing edges 4 on the base 13 are spread apart and slip away on the outside, which is shown as indicated by the directional arrows P2.1 and P2.2, whereby the shaped part legs 6 are tilted in opposite directions about the pincer pivot point 6.5 located in the connecting bridge 6.2 (see directional arrows P3.1 and P3.2) and, as it were, the leg projections 6.1 and their Jaws 6.3 are moved towards one another, with the leg projections 6.1 covering or reinforced covering the head opening 5.1, the volume of the recess 5 is reduced is and the radius of curvature of the bulge 3 increases. The foam molded part 1 is compressed in height, ie reduced, and the length increases and the pivot point 6.5 of the pliers, together with the possibly slightly compressed connecting bridge 6.2, shifts in the direction of the support 13.

The joint function of the connecting bridge 6.2 depends on various parameters, e.g. the width, in particular the minimum width 6.6 of the connecting bridge 6.2, the material or material composite of the connecting bridge 6.2, the radius of curvature of the elliptically shaped head opening 5.1 and the radius of curvature of the bulge 3.

After 1 the device 1 according to the invention is still inoperative. The fascia 16 is located between the spinal column 14 and the device 1 according to the invention, into which the fascia forceps 15 according to the invention engages like forceps with the leg projections 6.1 to mobilize the blockage or compression. The distance 6.4 between the forceps jaws 6.3 is dimensioned such that the fascia forceps 15 or the leg projections 6.1 can act on two vertebral joints 11 in order to correct the vertebrae there.

In the figure 2 the functioning of the foam molding 1 according to the invention is shown schematically. The underside 3 of the foam molding 1 has two rounded support edges 4, which are supported on a base 13 (eg floor, door frame, backrest). The convex upper side 2 rests on the back in such a way that the longitudinal axis of the recess 5 runs transversely to the spine 14 . This flexibility or the hinge function in the central area of the foam molding 1, between the crest line 7 of the bottom of the recess 5 and the crest line 8 of the concave underside 3, enables the movement of the two opposite leg projections 6.1 towards one another when between the top 2 and underside 3 of the foam molding 1 a force is applied, the foam molding 1 is thus pressed. See the detailed explanations in connection with 1 . The movement of the two Leg projections 6.1 to each other (continuous arrows) acts on the vertebral processes 10, in that the fascia 16 is compressed in the area of the vertebral processes 10 by the fascia forceps 15, a bulge 17 of the fascia 16 occurs in the area of the forceps jaws 6.3. As a result, the vertebral processes 10 and thus the vertebrae 9 are moved towards one another and the blockage in the vertebral joint 11 is thereby released. When the fascia 16 is compressed, the vertebral processes 10 are carried along and moved towards one another, as a result of which an extension position of the vertebra 9 is achieved and the vertebral joint blockage 11 is released, as it were. The device according to the invention thus acts directly on the vertebrae themselves and is used for immediate correction of the vertebrae. A brief contact may be enough to notice a noticeable relief.

In figure 3 a particularly preferred embodiment of the foam molding according to the invention is shown in a side view showing the radii. The dimensions are preferably as follows: length (perpendicular to the axis of the recess 5): 150 mm; width (longitudinal axis of the recess): 100 mm; Height: 90mm; the recess being 50mm wide, 30mm high and rounded. The radii of the surfaces and rounded edges are as follows: the insides of the recess (R1): 7.5 mm; at the edges of the legs (R2): 10 mm; at the lower support edges (R3): 17 mm; the radii at the top (R4): 75 mm; the lower radius (R5): 57.5 mm (concave); the bottom radius (R6) in the recess: 57.5 mm (convex).

The insert 18 is adapted in shape to the contour of the recess 5 and extends between the side surfaces of the foam molded part 1. The latter, however, is not mandatory. Depending on the application, the insert 18 can be provided with different degrees of hardness and preferably consists of a compressible foam which sits in the recess 5 with a slight press fit. The strength of the forceps grip on the spine can be adjusted via the compressibility of the insert 18 in the recess 5 . This can be particularly important when treating people of different weights, which in use can lead to different pressing forces on the device 1 and thus to a forceps effect of different strength.
