Description

The invention relates to a storage device comprising a plurality of bins stacked on each other, and deployable vertically to clear each of the bins to be arranged at a distance from each other to make accessible their interior.

The invention will be more particularly described with reference to a tool box, in particular a tool box for construction site in the field of building, without being limited thereto.

Many toolboxes offer a deployment of their lockers in different horizontal planes, such as cases called "accordion". However, these boxes are not suitable for storage tools volume.

In addition, the patent application is known DE2810401 , a vertically deployable storage device, the servant type, generally used in the workshop such as in a car repair garage. This device movable via casters fixed under the base comprises several boxes mounted on vertical uprights telescopic fixed to the base. Locking means are provided internally to the amounts and implemented automatically during the progressive development of the amounts. The locking means prevent inadvertent sliding of the amounts and thus any folding of the device. Unlocking is achieved by pushing two actuating members, located in the upper end plane of the device in the deployed position, and connected by connecting members to internal unlocking means to the uprights and acting on them. locking means.

  • il est destiné à rester à demeure sur une surface lisse en étant mobile mais il n'est pas transportable ;
  • les moyens de déverrouillage positionnés sur deux côtés opposés sont à actionner concomitamment par deux organes d'actionnement distincts, et obligent à maintenir le casier supérieur dans un plan parfaitement horizontal pour une descente de niveau des deux montants ;
  • les moyens de déverrouillage ne sont pas en soi robustes ;
  • les moyens de verrouillage et les moyens de déverrouillage sont internes au dispositif et aux montants, et donc inaccessibles en cas de défaillance ;
This device, although mobile, and having a principle of vertical deployment favoring the stacking of bins of different volumes if necessary, does not prove so practical, in fact:
  • it is intended to remain permanently on a smooth surface while being mobile but it is not transportable;
  • the unlocking means positioned on two opposite sides are actuated concomitantly by two separate actuating members, and require to maintain the upper rack in a perfectly horizontal plane for a level descent of the two uprights;
  • the unlocking means are not in themselves robust;
  • the locking means and the unlocking means are internal to the device and the amounts, and therefore inaccessible in case of failure;
  • no means is provided in case of fall of the device in the folded position to prevent the opening of the lockers.

The invention therefore aims to provide a storage device with several bins, vertically deployable which does not have the aforementioned drawbacks, is simple and fast implementation, robust, can be easily moved and transported and this without risk of opening of the lockers.

According to the invention, the storage device comprises a frame, rolling means integral with the lower part of the frame, a plurality of storage compartments, two opposite telescopic uprights integral with the frame and associated with the lockers, locking means locking at the less in the deployed position the amounts, and is characterized in that the locking means are arranged externally to the device, also constituting unlocking means, are designed to lock the device both in the deployed position and in the compact position, and further constitute an actuating member for locking and unlocking.

The compact position is the position for which all the bins are stacked on top of each other, unlike the deployed position for which at least two bins are dissociated and discarded, making them accessible.

Thus, the storage device of the invention can be locked, both in deployed and compact position, allowing its safe transport in a compact position, and being rapid implementation and simple manufacturing because using the same means to ensure on the one hand the locking, and that in the two deployed and compact positions, and on the other hand the unlocking and finally the actuation of the locking and unlocking.

In the following description, the term "locking position" or "locked position", the position in which the telescopic uprights can not slide because being locked in position. Conversely, "unlocked" or "unlocked" means that the amounts can slide to expand or retract.

The qualifiers "superior" and "lower" of an element of the device are used in the context of a use of the device placed on a horizontal surface, that is to say relating to a vertical concept with respect to a ground flat horizontal on which the device would be placed.

On entend par « faces latérales », les faces opposées et dans des plans transversaux aux faces avant et arrière."Front" face of the device is understood to mean the face opposite to the "rear" face provided with rolling means, the front face corresponding to the face from which the user actuates the means of rotation. locking / unlocking. "Side faces" means the opposite faces and in planes transverse to the front and rear faces.

According to one characteristic, the locking / unlocking means are actuatable by traction-release.

Advantageously, the locking / unlocking means comprise a movable U-shaped bead wire, against elastic return means, in horizontal translation between a rest position and a pulled position, and providing a hoop in a horizontal plane around a rack in the rest position, the rod comprising two opposite free ends intended to cooperate with the amounts by transverse engagement through them.

Such an embodiment of the locking / unlocking and actuating means constitutes a robust system.

According to another characteristic, the device comprises two pairs of uprights, each pair comprising a lower upright fixed to the frame and an upper upright sliding around the lower upright and able to extend in the extension of said lower upright, the lower and upper uprights of the upright. each pair comprising orifices intended to be facing each other for their cooperation with the locking / unlocking means, in particular with each free end of the U-shaped rod.

  • un second orifice agencé à proximité de l'extrémité distale supérieure dudit montant, au niveau de la zone de jonction des deux montants en position totalement déployée et du casier portant les moyens de verrouillage ;
In particular, the lower amount includes at least:
  • a first orifice arranged in a plane just above the lower end locker, and
  • a second orifice arranged near the upper distal end of said upright, at the junction area of the two uprights in fully deployed position and the rack carrying the locking means;
  • the higher amount includes at least:
    • a first orifice spaced from its upper distal end, just above the bin immediately below the upper end bin, and
    • a second orifice arranged at the lower end of said upper post.

Said first orifices of the lower and upper uprights allow, while being facing each other, a locking in the compact position of the device, whereas the facing of said second orifices of the lower and upper uprights makes it possible to lock the device in a fully deployed position.

Advantageously, the orifices above allow an intermediate deployed position of the device, the rack just above said lower end rack (bottom rack) being stacked on said bottom rack, in particular, the upper amount of each pair being only partially raised and its second orifice arranged at its lower end cooperating opposite the first hole of the lower upright (orifice arranged in a plane just above the lower end rack). This intermediate deployment position is useful when there is no need to access the interior of the bottom rack which is deeper than the others to store the large tools.

Preferably, the locking / unlocking means are positioned and associated at the level of the first rack disposed immediately above the bottom rack (bottom end). This position makes it possible to obtain the two positions deployed at choice, the intermediate and the fully deployed one.

Advantageously, the device comprises straps connecting on the one hand the lower end locker to the first locker located immediately above, the straps serving as a limit switch for the deployment of said first rack, and on the other hand the rack of upper end and the bin immediately below, the straps this time to drive the upper bin under the rack and maintain the spacing once deployed.

According to yet another characteristic, the device comprises means for gripping and assisting the deployment of the bins, preferably consisting of a horizontal handle disposed in the central part of the upper end rack.

In a preferred embodiment, the frame and the rolling means form a set of the devil type of transport. Even though the bins are filled with tools generating a significant weight of the device, this design promotes ease of movement, and the transport of the device such as when unloading a truck, descent or climbing steps. With regard to the raising and lowering of the steps, the rolling means may not be limited to a pair of two wheels but include in a known manner a pair of several wheels arranged in a star on a plate mounted in rotation on the frame. The frame is provided at the front (opposite to the rolling means) feet to ensure the stability of the device in the use position.

In addition, the device comprises closure and closure means for the upper end rack, in particular having a lid preferably made of a wooden plate whose dimensions are just adapted to the surface of said upper end, and a closure system cooperating with the lid and the locker, the lid advantageously constituting a work surface and preferably having a non-slip external surface.

In a preferred embodiment, the closing and closure means for the upper end rack, said closing and closing means, are associated with the frame and being pivotally movable.

According to yet another feature, the lower end rack has a larger volume than the others, so to store large tools. Preferably, this lower end rack comprises an additional removable rack of the portable type, occupying a partial volume and maintained in particular in the upper part of said rack. The wander can thus be removed to further increase the width of passage of large tools to place them in the bottom of the rack.

Advantageously, the lower end rack comprises on one of its outer faces, preferably the rear face, one or more compartments for storing other tools, including long tools such as levels, saws. This rear face corresponds to the free space between the two arms of the devil; thus placed, the tools do not hinder the deployment of the device.

Finally, the lower end rack is secured to the chassis by being interlocked on said chassis and preferably the front end of the lower end rack, opposite to the rolling means, has a clearance to provide space with the frame for positioning a hand to grasp the device if necessary to assist with its transport for example when climbing or descending a staircase or a vehicle.

  • The figure 11 illustrates the device in a compact position with the lid open.

The storage device 1 illustrated in the figures is transportable and has a plurality of compartments 2A to 2D storage, particularly for tools, the bins being either stacked on each other, the device being in a so-called closed position or compact ( Figures 1 to 4 ), or in a so-called deployed position, the bins being deployed vertically being arranged one above the other and sufficiently spaced between them to access their interior ( Figures 5a to 5d ). Moreover, the device is advantageously designed to allow an intermediate deployed position ( Figures 10a and 10b ), only certain lockers being accessible.

The storage device 1 comprises a chassis 3 with rolling means 4 such as two wheels, the storage bins 2A to 2D, two pairs 5 of telescopic uprights opposite and integral with the frame and associated with the bins, locking means 6 arranged externally to the device and able to lock the device both in the deployed position and in the compact position, means for gripping and assisting with the deployment 7 of the bins (visible on the Figures 5a, 5b , 5d and 10a ), and shutter means and closing 8 of the top end bin 2D at least in compact position of the device.

In the compact position, the bins 2A to 2D are nested within each other, forming a one-piece assembly, while each having a certain depth to provide a volume suitable for storing tools.

Cette surface 80 peut servir de desserte, de surface de travail provisoire sur chantier...Advantageously, the open top end bin 2D receives the closure and closure means 8 (described in more detail later) which are movable or removable, and which provide in the closed position, a top end surface 80 full horizontal. This surface 80 can serve as a service, temporary work surface on site ...

The means for gripping and assisting the deployment of the bins 7 are in the form of a handle such as a horizontal tube the width of a hand. The handle is housed in the upper bin 2D without exceeding the upper plane of access to the locker. It does not protrude so as not to hinder the closure of the device and to obtain the flat surface 80.

The frame 3 and the rolling means 4 form an assembly in the manner of a devil. The frame 3 forms a framework of the stretcher type; it comprises a lower frame 30 forming a base, two vertical tubular arms 31 and 32 on the rear face (user side when the device is to be moved) connected at the upper end, opposite the base by a horizontal crossbar 33 serving as a bar gripper for transporting and manipulating the device. In a compact position, the vertical arms 31 and 32 extend away from the upper end surface 80 of the bin block.

Pour la stabilité du dispositif, l'embase comporte deux pieds 34 et 35 à l'opposé des roues 4 et solidaires du cadre inférieur 30.For the stability of the device, the base comprises two feet 34 and 35 opposite the wheels 4 and integral with the lower frame 30.

In addition, the frame has two bent tubular portions 36 and 37 respectively connecting the feet 34 and 35 to the arms 31 and 32. The bent parts cooperate with the lower end rack 2A for its attachment.

The number of bins is here four in number, a lower end tray or hereinafter referred to as "bottom" 2A, and two bins intermediates 2B and 2C, and a 2D upper end bin. The lockers are of parallelepipedic shape.

The bottom rack 2A is much deeper than the others to accommodate large tools. It advantageously comprises an additional removable or movable rack 20 partially occupying the height and the width of the rack. The bottom rack forms a tray whose front is partially recessed in the upper part 21 and precisely closed by the removable rack 20. To have easier access to the interior of the bottom rack, fully deployed position of the device, the locker removable cover 20 is removed, as illustrated on the figure 5b . The removable rack 20 has its coplanar upper face with the upper face of the bottom rack.

The interior of the bottom rack has a flange 20A ( figure 5b ) adapted to receive and hold in place the additional rack 20. The rack is removable but could be movable for example by connecting rods to deploy the rack 20 in a horizontal plane forward and projecting from the bottom rack so as to positioned at the lower part of the recess 21 as illustrated on the figure 5c .

Ainsi, le casier ou bac de fond est posé sur le cadre 30 et s'emboîte sur le châssis en coopérant par appui sur les parties coudées 36 et 37.The bottom rack 2A is associated with the frame being placed on the frame 30 and embedded between the rising and bent portions 36 and 37 of the chassis while being fixed by bolts. The side faces of the bottom rack 2A are not flat but each comprise a shoulder 22 which follows the bent shape of the parts 36 and 37, providing a receiving cavity for the said bent portions. Thus, the rack or bottom tray is placed on the frame 30 and fits on the frame cooperating by pressing on the bent portions 36 and 37.

Furthermore, the bottom rack 2A has on its outer and rear side one or more compartments 23 open at the top and intended for to accommodate elongated tools (not shown) then arranged substantially vertically in the compartments.

Finally, the bottom rack 2A has on its front face, facing away from the rolling means, a clearance 27 ( figures 1 , 5a , 5b and 6 ) to provide a space 28 with the lower frame 30 for the positioning of a hand to enter the device if necessary to assist with its transportation for example when climbing or descending a staircase or a vehicle.

The pots 2A to 2D are preferably made of plastic to lighten the device.

The bins 2B to 2D are smaller in volume than the lower bin 2A. They are open at the top. Their interior arrangement may be identical or not, they may each be compartmentalized or not.

The uprights 5 are in telescopic pairs on each of the lateral faces of the device. Each pair extends vertically and in a median plane of the device relative to the front and rear faces.

Each pair of uprights has a lower upright 50 and an upper upright 51 which slides outwardly around the lower upright and which can extend in height to extend the lower upright. The cross-section of the upper amount corresponds to that of the lower amount, being slightly larger.

With regard to figures 5a and 5c each pair of uprights is fixed to the frame 3 by fixing the lower upright 50 (internal lateral face opposite the lower rack 2A) at two points 52A and 52B, respectively to the frame 30 and to each bent portion 36, 37. The uprights are in projection of the lateral faces of the frame 30 without however exceeding the lateral planes containing the wheels 4.

Chaque montant supérieur 51 est apte à coulisser dans les oreilles des casiers intermédiaires 2B et 2C tandis qu'il est fixé par son extrémité distale supérieure 53 à chaque oreille latérale 26 du casier d'extrémité supérieure 2D.Apart from the lower bottom rack 2A, the other bins 2B to 2D are associated with the upper uprights 51 to allow their elevation during deployment of the latter. For this purpose (particularly visible on Figures 5a to 5d ), the bins 2B to 2D have on each of the two lateral faces a respective lug 24, 25, 26 projecting and recessed for the passage of the upper upright 51. Each upper upright 51 is able to slide in the ears of intermediate lockers 2B and 2C while attached by its upper distal end 53 to each side lug 26 of the upper end bin 2D.

Le déploiement des montants supérieurs 51 permet de déplacer en hauteur chacun des casiers 2B à 2D de la position empilée (figure 1) à la position déployée (figure 5a).The deployment of the upper uprights 51 makes it possible to move in height each of the bins 2B to 2D of the stacked position ( figure 1 ) at the deployed position ( figure 5a ).

Deployment end-of-travel and rack spacing means are provided. These are pairs of straps 9A and 9B, the first pair 9A connecting the upper end bin 2D to the bin immediately below 2C to maintain their spacing, and the second pair 9B connecting the bottom rack 2A and the locker 2B located immediately above and serving as a deployment end-stop.

Furthermore, the locking means of the upper uprights 51 in the deployed position (corresponding to the intermediate deployed position - Figures 10a and 10b - or fully deployed device - Figures 5a to 5d ) and in the retracted position (compact position of the device - Figures 1 to 4 ) also constitute the unlocking means to ensure the sliding of the upper uprights 51. These locking / unlocking means form a single piece 6 visible in particular on the figures 1 , 3 , 5a and 5b . In addition, the means of locking / unlocking itself constitute the actuating member for the user to enable the implementation of locking or unlocking.

La tringle présente par exemple une section dé l'ordre de 8 mm.The locking / unlocking part 6 is a rod or bar, preferably metal with respect to its robustness, having a U-shape and whose free ends cooperate with the pairs of uprights 5 to cross and lock in position the upper uprights 51 , the rod being movable between two positions, a position for which it is cooperating with the amounts, and a position for which it is disengaged from the amounts. The rod has for example a section of the order of 8 mm.

With regard to figures 1 and 5a and 6 , the U-shaped rod 6 comprises a core 61 (in the frontal plane of the device) and two transverse and parallel wings 62 and 63 (on the sides of the device), the distal ends 64 and 65 are free. The Figures 8 and 9 illustrate one of the distal ends 65, here of the transverse wing 63, in the position of cooperation and disengagement respectively with the uprights 50 and 51.

With regard to Figures 6, 8 and 9 the wings 62 and 63 are each associated with a spring forming the elastic return means 60. The spring 60 surrounds a portion of the wing and bears against a transverse stop 66 arranged on the side of the core 61.

In the locked position, the rod 6 is pressed, via its core 61, against the front face of the rack 2B; it is in the rest position, the spring 60 being in the state of rest ( figure 8 ), and the free end 64, 65 is engaged inside the uprights 50 and 51 ( Figures 6 and 8 ). To lodge inside the uprights, orifices are provided in the uprights 50 and 51.

In the unlocked position, the rod 6 is spaced from the front face of the locker 2B; it is in the pulled position, the spring 60 being in the compressed state ( figure 9 ), and the free end 64, 65 is disengaged outside the uprights 50 and 51 ( Figures 6 and 9 ).

A cet effet :

  • les montants inférieurs 50 comportent au moins :
    • une première paire d'orifices 50A (dits encore orifice proximaux) agencés dans un même plan juste au-dessus du casier d'extrémité inférieure 2A (figure 5a), et
    • une seconde paire d'orifices 50B agencé à proximité de l'extrémité distale supérieure de chacun desdits montants 50, au niveau de la zone de jonction D (figures 5c et 7) des deux montants 50 et 51 en position totalement déployée et du casier 2B portant les moyens de verrouillage 6 ;
The rod 6 cooperates with orifices arranged at the appropriate places of the uprights to allow the different locking positions. For this purpose:
  • the lower amounts 50 comprise at least:
    • a first pair of orifices 50A (also called proximal ports) arranged in the same plane just above the lower end rack 2A ( figure 5a ), and
    • a second pair of orifices 50B arranged near the upper distal end of each of said uprights 50, at the junction zone D ( Figures 5c and 7 ) of the two uprights 50 and 51 in fully deployed position and the rack 2B carrying the locking means 6;
  • the upper amounts 51 comprise at least:
    • a first pair of orifices 51A (so-called proximal orifices) arranged at a distance from its upper distal end 53 ( figure 5a ), just above the 2C bin and immediately below the 2D top end bin, and
    • a second pair of orifices 51B arranged at the lower end of said upper posts ( figures 7 and 10c ).

The cooperation of the orifices opposite, proximal 50A of each lower upright 50 and respectively proximal 51A of the associated upper upright 51, with the free ends 64 and 65 of the rod 6, makes it possible to lock the device in the fully folded state (compact position of the figure 1 ).

The cooperation of the opposite orifices, upper end 50B of each lower upright 50 and lower end respectively 51B of the associated upper upright 51, with the free ends 64 and 65 of the rod 6 makes it possible to lock the device in the state fully deployed (compact position of the figure 5c ).

Advantageously, the orifices above allow an intermediate deployed position of the device, the rack just above said lower end rack (so-called bottom rack) being stacked on said bottom rack ( Figures 10a and 10b ). In this respect, the upper amount 51 of each pair of upright is only partially raised and its second orifice 51B arranged at its lower end cooperates with it ( figure 10c ) of the first orifice 50A of the lower upright 50 (orifice arranged in a plane just above the bottom rack 2A). This intermediate deployment position is useful when there is no need to access the interior of the bottom rack which is deeper than the others to store the large tools.

By way of non-limiting example, the closure system 81 consists of an elastic 82 of the bungee type, fixed on the front wall of the 2D locker, and a lug 83 secured to the cover 80, the resilient 82 cooperating by engagement. in the paw 83.

In addition, the closure and closing means 8 are preferably movable, they remain attached to the device while being open. For example, again not limiting, the cover 80 is fixed to the frame 3 by two parts 84 and 85 movable pivotally about two horizontal axes 86 and 87 respectively crossing each of the two vertical bars 31 and 32 respectively.

By way of non-limiting example, the main dimensions of the device and its elements are as follows:
  • height from the lower frame 30 to the gripping bar 33: of the order of 90 cm,
  • height of the bins in the compact state: of the order of 60 cm,
  • height of the device in the deployed state of the lockers from the feet (thus device placed on the ground) to the upper plane of the upper locker: 110 cm,
  • height of the bottom rack 2A: of the order of 30 cm,
  • height of the lockers 2B to 2D: of the order of 8 cm,
  • inside width of the lockers: 50 cm,
  • total size of the device in the folded state (with the frame and the wheels): of the order of 100 cm by 60 cm, in particular 96 cm by 58 cm.

The implementation of the storage device 1 of the invention is as follows:
Starting from the compact position of the figure 1 , the user wishing to deploy the storage device 1 detaches the elastic 82 and opens the lid 80 by pivoting it towards the upper part of the chassis to lean against the arms 31 and 32 ( figure 11 ). The arms are slightly inclined outward of the device, opposite the lockers to keep the lid pressed.

Then it pulls in a horizontal plane on the rod 6, which releases the free ends 64 and 65 of the rod outside the uprights 50 and 51, while pulling upwardly on the handle 7 to slide the upper uprights 51.

Le dispositif est alors partiellement déployé dans la position de la figure 10a, le casier 2B reposant et fermant le casier de fond 2A.As soon as the uprights are unlocked, that is to say that the rod 6 is pulled and we began the traction of the upper rack 2A via the handle7, it is not necessarily necessary to keep pulled the rod 6. Sliding of the amounts is effected by continuing traction on the handle 7 until the rod meets the lower end holes 51B of the uprights 51; the ends 64 and 65 of the rod then automatically engage in the orifices 51B which are then facing the proximal orifices 50A of the lower uprights 50. The user can release the handle 7. The device is then partially deployed in the position of the figure 10a , the locker 2B resting and closing the bottom rack 2A.

If the user wishes to continue deployment to the position of the figure 5a in order to access the bottom rack 2A, it again pulls on the rod to unlock and pulls with its other hand on the handle 7 to continue sliding the upper uprights 51 until the lower end holes 51B of the upper uprights 51 are positioned opposite the upper end holes 50B of the lower uprights 50, the ends 64 and 65 then automatically engaging in said orifices 51B and 50B, then locking the device in fully deployed position.

If the user wishes to move directly from the compact position to the fully extended position, he must keep the rod pulled while pulling the top rack 2D until the upper uprights 51 are sufficiently raised for the end holes 51B lower (thus the rack 2B carrying the rod 6) have exceeded the proximal orifices 50A of the lower uprights 50. Once the uprights 51 sufficiently mounted, the user can release the rod 6, the sliding continues by pulling the handle 7 until the lower end orifices 51B of the upper uprights 51 are positioned opposite the upper end orifices 50B of the lower uprights 50.

To store / fold the storage device, the user draws again on the rod 6, and pushes on the upper rack 2D via the handle 7. As soon as the ends 64 and 65 of the rod 6 are disengaged and the sliding towards the bottom has begun, it is possible to release the rod 6. Continuing to press up and down via the handle 7, the descent of the bins 2B to 2D continues to the partially deployed position. Pulling again on the rod 6 while pushing on the top rack 2D to continue the descent of the upper uprights 51 and achieve the stack of all the lockers of the compact position, with the locking of the device by the commitment ends 64 and 65 of the rod in the proximal orifices 50A of the lower uprights 50 and proximal orifices 51A of the upper uprights 51 opposite.

If the user does not wish to pass through the partially deployed position and reach directly the compact position, he keeps the rod 6 pulled, until the lower end holes 51B of the upper uprights 51 have exceeded the proximal orifices 50A of the lower amounts 50.

The lid 80 can then be closed again. The storage device 1 is then ready if necessary to be transported.
