Definitions
- the present invention relates to a separating tape and a method for assembling the separating tape in drywall.
- Separating tapes are used to create a hairline joint (similar to a shadow groove) during hygrothermal movement or when moving due to vibrations between two components. This prevents the formation of zigzag cracks and gives a visually uniform impression.
- a strip-shaped separating tape made of paper is used in the prior art, which is typically about 50 to 70 mm wide and has a self-adhesive strip on one side on the front side in the running direction, typically about 10 to 15 mm wide, almost at the edge.
- the separating tape is usually glued onto the solid component directly after the mounted profile that carries the dry construction surface.
- the separating tape is glued along the profile in such a way that a self-adhesive
- the adhesive strip of the separating tape touches the profile and is covered by the drywall that later almost touches it.
- the drywall is then mounted on the profile with a distance of typically about 3 to 5 mm from the separating tape and the distance between the drywall and separating tape is grouted with filler.
- the non-adhesive part of the separating tape protrudes over the joint. After drying, the filler is sanded if necessary and the protruding, non-adhesive paper strip is cut off with a sharp object, e.g. a knife.
- the non-adhesive part of the release tape expands or contracts under changing environmental conditions (humidity or temperature).
- the paper can roll up, causing the separating tape to bend away from the solid component.
- filler can also get under the separating tape and make it difficult to separate the protruding paper strip.
- AT 11315 U1 describes a connection tape or strip for arrangement between a drywall construction, which comprises an insulating strip.
- WO 03/046100 A1 describes an elastomeric tape for drywall construction.
- E 101 35 799 A1 describes a self-adhesive tape for closing and sealing joints in house construction.
- DE 101 14 909 C1 describes an insulation tape for soundproofing and sealing the upper edge of a bathtub or shower tray.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a separating tape and a method for assembling the separating tape which at least partially solve the problems of the prior art, in particular to reduce the bending open of the separating tape.
- the object is achieved by a separating tape for a drywall connection with two main surfaces of a carrier material and adhesive, a first main surface being divided into at least two areas along an axis in the direction of the web, the at least two areas being at least partially coated with adhesive and the at least two areas have a different bond strength, the carrier material being paper.
- the separating tape has two main surfaces which are located on opposite sides of the separating tape.
- One of the main surfaces is divided along an axis in the path direction. These areas are at least partially coated with an adhesive, but have different adhesive strengths. Typically these areas extend over the entire length of the separating tape.
- the object is achieved by a separating tape for a drywall connection with two main surfaces, a first main surface being divided into at least two areas along an axis in the direction of the web, with at least one area being coated with adhesive, the carrier material being selected from on both sides Coated or coated paper or nonwovens with synthetic fibers.
- Papers or nonwovens with synthetic fibers that are coated or coated on both sides are less sensitive to moisture than papers that are open at least on one side.
- Carrier web materials are preferably used which, when stored in a sample room with 100% air humidity, can absorb less than 2 g of water / m 2 over a period of 30 minutes.
- Paint and coating are activities in paper manufacture in order to change the properties of paper. Painting becomes a binding agent applied one or more times and then calendered the paper if necessary. Examples of coated papers are those that are polyethylene coated. It is also possible that one side of the paper is coated and the other is coated.
- Thicknesses in the range from 12 ⁇ m to 100 ⁇ m have proven useful as the thickness of the carrier web.
- a pressure-sensitive adhesive is preferably used as the adhesive.
- pressure sensitive adhesives dispersed in water or dissolved in organic solvents, for example based on acrylate or rubber, or hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives based on rubber or acrylate can be used.
- the adhesives can also be reactive adhesives that are further crosslinked thermally, i.e. by heat or IR radiation, or by UV or electron radiation.
- an adhesive-free area which, in particular, allows the separating tape to be removed more easily from a surface in the edge area.
- the adhesive-free area therefore lies in particular at the edge area of the separating tape next to the areas coated with adhesive on the same main surface.
- the areas can be designed with adhesive strengths that differ from one another by using two different adhesives which have different adhesive strengths. It is also possible to apply the same adhesive, but in different quantities (basis weights).
- the same adhesive is used, but the adhesive is applied in grid form, for example in dots, to the different areas, the corresponding grid forms having different shapes, sizes or spacings in order to achieve the To control adhesive surfaces and their adhesive strength.
- the production of such screened, for example point-shaped, adhesive surfaces can preferably be carried out by screen printing.
- Adhesive weights per unit area in the strongly adhesive range from about 20 to 50 g / m 2 and in the weakly adhesive range from 0.5 to 5 g / m 2 have proven to be suitable.
- the bond strength should be adjusted so that the weakly adhering area can be easily removed again without leaving any residue; the other should basically stick firmly. In the event that the entire release tape needs to be repositioned, the adhesive strength of the firmly adhering area should not be too great.
- Typical bond strengths are 5 to 20 N / 25 mm for the firmly adhering area and 0.5 to 2 N / 25 mm for the weakly adhering area that needs to be removed again Area.
- the carrier web is siliconized on the side that has no adhesive.
- the siliconized side acts as a release layer on the adhesive, so that no separate cover sheet has to be provided.
- the variant in which there are at least two adhesive areas has the advantage that the material to be used can be paper, which can be easily disposed of and naturally grows again , for example, consist of pure cellulose fleece.
- Nonwovens with synthetic fibers or plastic films are disadvantageous from an environmental point of view.
- Embodiments in which the carrier material is based on paper are therefore particularly preferred.
- the Figures 1 to 5 show a main surface of the release tape with adhesive-free areas (1) and areas with lower (2) or higher adhesive strength (3).
- Paper siliconized on one side is used to produce the separating tape.
- 65 mm wide carrier material strips are carried out, coated with adhesive and placed on a corrugated cardboard core with an internal diameter of 76 mm and a wall thickness of 3 mm rolled up into rolls with a length of 50 m. If a multiple 65 mm wide web of carrier material is used, the multiple 65 mm wide separating tape is cut into 65 mm wide strips on a roll cutting machine and rolled up as above.
- the separating tape is glued to the corrugated cardboard core with its respective adhesive strip and sealed at the outer end with a self-adhesive identification label.
- Example 1 Coating with two adhesive strips of different widths
- the hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive is 160 - 170 ° C at the outlet.
- the slot nozzles are positioned approx. 2 mm from the deflected release paper web, the 10 mm wide slot nozzle at a distance of 2 mm from one edge of the web, the 1 mm wide slot nozzle at a distance of 2 mm from the other edge of the web. This means that the adhesive strips are each 2 mm away from the edge; please refer Figure 1 .

Description
The present invention relates to a separating tape and a method for assembling the separating tape in drywall.
In dry construction it is necessary to provide a parting line in various situations.
For example, when connecting flat drywall panels (drywall surfaces) to solid components, it is necessary to provide a separating joint in order to create an irregular ("zigzag- Zack ") to prevent cracking at the transition under the influence of temperature, moisture or vibration.
Even when plastering adjoining components made of different materials, e.g. dry construction surfaces and solid components, it makes sense to separate the plaster area in the area of the component connection with a joint in order to avoid irregular cracks in the plaster at the seam as far as possible.
Separating tapes are used to create a hairline joint (similar to a shadow groove) during hygrothermal movement or when moving due to vibrations between two components. This prevents the formation of zigzag cracks and gives a visually uniform impression.
For this purpose, a strip-shaped separating tape made of paper is used in the prior art, which is typically about 50 to 70 mm wide and has a self-adhesive strip on one side on the front side in the running direction, typically about 10 to 15 mm wide, almost at the edge.
The separating tape is usually glued onto the solid component directly after the mounted profile that carries the dry construction surface. The separating tape is glued along the profile in such a way that a self-adhesive The adhesive strip of the separating tape touches the profile and is covered by the drywall that later almost touches it.
It is less common to stick the separating tape to the profile before mounting the profile on the solid component so that the non-adhesive part is over the surface of the profile and after mounting the profile over the contact surface of the solid component and profile as well as the solid component and almost abutted drywall.
The drywall is then mounted on the profile with a distance of typically about 3 to 5 mm from the separating tape and the distance between the drywall and separating tape is grouted with filler.
The non-adhesive part of the separating tape protrudes over the joint. After drying, the filler is sanded if necessary and the protruding, non-adhesive paper strip is cut off with a sharp object, e.g. a knife.
It can be seen that the non-adhesive part of the release tape expands or contracts under changing environmental conditions (humidity or temperature). The paper can roll up, causing the separating tape to bend away from the solid component.
If the separating tape bends open, the filler joint cannot be filled completely or not cleanly enough with filler. This complicates the exact connection and the level filling and also does not lead to the separation tape being torn off along the edge between the solid component and the drywall surface. An optically unsatisfactory impression then remains.
In principle, filler can also get under the separating tape and make it difficult to separate the protruding paper strip.
The object of the present invention is to provide a separating tape and a method for assembling the separating tape which at least partially solve the problems of the prior art, in particular to reduce the bending open of the separating tape.
The object is achieved by a separating tape for a drywall connection with two main surfaces of a carrier material and adhesive, a first main surface being divided into at least two areas along an axis in the direction of the web, the at least two areas being at least partially coated with adhesive and the at least two areas have a different bond strength, the carrier material being paper.
According to the invention, the separating tape has two main surfaces which are located on opposite sides of the separating tape. One of the main surfaces is divided along an axis in the path direction. These areas are at least partially coated with an adhesive, but have different adhesive strengths. Typically these areas extend over the entire length of the separating tape.
In another embodiment, the object is achieved by a separating tape for a drywall connection with two main surfaces, a first main surface being divided into at least two areas along an axis in the direction of the web, with at least one area being coated with adhesive, the carrier material being selected from on both sides Coated or coated paper or nonwovens with synthetic fibers.
Papers or nonwovens with synthetic fibers that are coated or coated on both sides are less sensitive to moisture than papers that are open at least on one side. Carrier web materials are preferably used which, when stored in a sample room with 100% air humidity, can absorb less than 2 g of water / m 2 over a period of 30 minutes.
Painting and coating are activities in paper manufacture in order to change the properties of paper. Painting becomes a binding agent applied one or more times and then calendered the paper if necessary. Examples of coated papers are those that are polyethylene coated. It is also possible that one side of the paper is coated and the other is coated.
Thicknesses in the range from 12 µm to 100 µm have proven useful as the thickness of the carrier web.
A pressure-sensitive adhesive is preferably used as the adhesive. For this purpose, pressure sensitive adhesives dispersed in water or dissolved in organic solvents, for example based on acrylate or rubber, or hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives based on rubber or acrylate can be used. In principle, the adhesives can also be reactive adhesives that are further crosslinked thermally, i.e. by heat or IR radiation, or by UV or electron radiation.
It is fundamentally preferred that there is also an adhesive-free area which, in particular, allows the separating tape to be removed more easily from a surface in the edge area. The adhesive-free area therefore lies in particular at the edge area of the separating tape next to the areas coated with adhesive on the same main surface.
For example, the areas can be designed with adhesive strengths that differ from one another by using two different adhesives which have different adhesive strengths. It is also possible to apply the same adhesive, but in different quantities (basis weights).
It is also possible for the same amount of glue to be applied but the glue to become blunted in one area.
In a preferred embodiment, the same adhesive is used, but the adhesive is applied in grid form, for example in dots, to the different areas, the corresponding grid forms having different shapes, sizes or spacings in order to achieve the To control adhesive surfaces and their adhesive strength. The production of such screened, for example point-shaped, adhesive surfaces can preferably be carried out by screen printing. Adhesive weights per unit area in the strongly adhesive range from about 20 to 50 g / m 2 and in the weakly adhesive range from 0.5 to 5 g / m 2 have proven to be suitable. The bond strength should be adjusted so that the weakly adhering area can be easily removed again without leaving any residue; the other should basically stick firmly. In the event that the entire release tape needs to be repositioned, the adhesive strength of the firmly adhering area should not be too great.
Typical bond strengths (measured according to FINAT test method No. 2, FTM2, 20 min, bonded to glass) are 5 to 20 N / 25 mm for the firmly adhering area and 0.5 to 2 N / 25 mm for the weakly adhering area that needs to be removed again Area.
In a preferred embodiment, the carrier web is siliconized on the side that has no adhesive. When the release tape is rolled up, the siliconized side acts as a release layer on the adhesive, so that no separate cover sheet has to be provided.
The variant in which there are at least two adhesive areas has the advantage that the material to be used can be paper, which can be easily disposed of and naturally grows again , for example, consist of pure cellulose fleece. Nonwovens with synthetic fibers or plastic films are disadvantageous from an environmental point of view.
Embodiments in which the carrier material is based on paper are therefore particularly preferred.
The invention is illustrated in more detail by the following examples.
Paper siliconized on one side is used to produce the separating tape.
On a coating system with a carrier web unwinding, a carrier web infeed, a web edge control, an adhesive coating station and a release tape roll-up, 65 mm wide carrier material strips are carried out, coated with adhesive and placed on a corrugated cardboard core with an internal diameter of 76 mm and a wall thickness of 3 mm rolled up into rolls with a length of 50 m. If a multiple 65 mm wide web of carrier material is used, the multiple 65 mm wide separating tape is cut into 65 mm wide strips on a roll cutting machine and rolled up as above.
The separating tape is glued to the corrugated cardboard core with its respective adhesive strip and sealed at the outer end with a self-adhesive identification label.
A 65 mm wide, siliconized release paper Separacon 990-26.5, white (Maria Soell GmbH & Co.KG) was applied on the non-siliconized side via a 10 mm wide and 1 mm wide slot nozzle coated in strips so that the adhesives each had a weight per unit area of 50 g / m 2 .
